SANDER AND ROBBE'S FIRST KISS IS A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE... the single water drop under Sander's eye like a teardrop when he kisses Robbe above water ... The under water shot getting blurred by ripples "I breathe you in so sweet" but oh I'm holding my breath on instict while watching and then Sander stops just a moment to look at Robbe... If he is with him and the way Robbe looks back at him???? Hooded eyes open face waiting to be kissed again ?????

⚘ Background
Wren comes from a small modest family in Dublin and was born to non-magical immigrant parents from East Asia, their families a long line of revered scholars and musicians. One day, her family decided to migrate to Belfast, in hopes of passing on their literary and artistic knowledge to their friends and colleagues, in an otherwise industrial city. Wren has had an idyllic childhood in Northern Ireland; nurtured and filled with great kindness, albeit she’s still conflicted by how little she knows about her own parents' heritage and upbringing since they do everything they can to remain ambiguous regarding this matter.
Wren and her parents encountered misfortune when large numbers of riots began breaking out in the city one summer in 1886, mere months before she could finish primary school. Tension reached a peak when arsons were taking place near their residence, and many of their friends had perished in the blaze. Belfast was deemed no longer safe for Wren. Her parents then made the abrupt decision of having their daughter attend a faraway boarding school in Brighton instead, with hopes Wren will be much safer there. Unfortunately the years that followed Wren spent friendless and isolated; there was harsh discipline and little learning.
To say Wren’s Hogwarts acceptance letter came as a shock is an understatement, when an exuberant Professor Fig arrived on their doorstep one stormy evening. In spite of witnessing signs of magic weeks prior, Mr and Mrs Zhang, albeit polite enough, were less than eager at an overflow of new knowledge regarding an alleged existence of a Wizarding World; each word coming from the strange man sounded more unorthodox than the last. Ultimately a proper demonstration of Wingardium Leviosa and Reparo, as well as the promise of a thorough and more importantly, safe, educational environment, were enough to sway their resolve. They finally came to an agreement in which Wren will decide if she is ready to be registered for Hogwarts, if Professor Fig is to tutor her everything there is to know about rudimentary magic for the remaining summer holidays under their supervision.
⚘ Personality
At first glance, one wouldn’t think Wren is able to thrive as well as she does in Ravenclaw of all houses, given she’s a bit of a klutz and seemingly not a fast learner, but she’s proven to be in fact quick-witted and intuitive; she sees no benefit in rushing her schoolwork therefore would rather take her time making sure the tasks are done properly. That’s not to say she won’t be quick to rise to new challenges, especially practical ones, and will excel almost immediately as long as there are demonstrations.
Those Wren is close with would know her as fun-loving and a sensitive soul, but isn’t above some good back and forth cutting banter or even initiating a heated duel when warranted. Despite giving the impression of an idle dreamer, Wren moves through life with a clear sense of values. At times, however, she may focus so intently on the tasks at hand - whether it’s burning the midnight oil to finish extra assignments or straining to stay awake rescuing Mooncalves - that she often forgets to take adequate care of herself, driving herself to absolute burnout before she can reach her goals.
While not particularly reserved or withdrawn, the schooling years Wren’s endured in Brighton made her wary of most adults, slow to trust her classmates and unfamiliar with the simple concept of reaching out. Nothing makes her blood curdle more than the thought of inserting herself in situations where she’s not wanted. All the more reason why she considers herself extremely fortunate with the social circle she has now. That isn’t to say she’s prone to self isolation. Naturally she’s perfectly content engaging in meaningful conversations with just about anyone if they make the first move. If able, she’s always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it’s a first year struggling schoolwork or an errand a broom ride away.
Nothing makes her happy quite like helping others, men or beasts. She doesn’t care if the given tasks are tedious or gargantuan, Wren is simply happy knowing there are folks who trust her to be patient, thorough and get certain things done. Yet despite her compassionate nature, Wren isn't one to believe in second chances. If she feels betrayed, deceived or belittled, she becomes uncharacteristically cold-hearted and unforgiving; while it isn't impossible to earn back her trust, she'll never forget. Wren is always actively looking for a sense of security and stability. She is committed to the relationships with her friends and loved ones but will not hesitate to cut ties if she feels like she can no longer trust a person.
⚘ Other trivia
She’s the only member in her family with freckles; they’re not as sun-kissed as those of her classmates, and in truth very faint, hardly visible especially during the winter. Amit nevertheless noticed them fairly quickly and mentioned they remind him of the constellations he’d come across when he’s out studying in the Astronomy Tower, till this day she still isn’t quite sure what to say to that.
She gets asked about her (Northern Irish) accent all the time, but has learned to make a game out of it though - every time someone asks about it, she changes her answer.
Wren actively wants to become an Animagus, but in spite of the extensive research and preparations made beforehand, she is unsuccessful at every attempt, having to repeatedly start over each time she accidentally swallows her Mandrake leaf.
She’d never admit this out loud but she really gets a kick out of other students’ Howlers, surprised just how informative the screechings of enraged parents prove to be and can only imagine amusedly the amount of Howlers she’d receive if her parents know of just a fraction of her misadventures.
Before her longtime burgeoning and pent up attraction for Imelda, Wren took pride of her immunity to Sebastian Sallow's charming magnetism, unlike many of the others. However she had a massive crush on Garreth, Amit and even Professor Garlick. Afterwards, Wren was deeply infatuated with Poppy in her sixth year for a long time.
Wren is particularly passionate about animals, even before she was showing signs of magic. After learning to wield her newfound abilities (including Ancient Magic), she finds herself slowly able to empathise and even communicate with almost any beast or creature - though it often leads to instances where a trail of critters follow her into school grounds while on an errand in Hogsmeade or walking in between classes.
It's not a common practice, as far as she knows, but she enjoys decorating her broom, adorning it with clever trinkets and mementos, such as Moondews, a pendant given by her Ma and the phoenix feather from Deek.
Wren unfortunately struggles with her severe pyrophobia, that stems from her early childhood on account of the numbers of fireburnings and arsons she witnessed from the tumultuous political climate at the time. She's learned to tolerate minor things such as smoke or slight scorchings, but still has to keep a distance from most fireplaces, refrain from using certain spells to do with fire.
She’s a huge foodie, simple as that. She finds snacking as enjoyable a pastime as a jaunt in Hogsmeade. If she’s lounging in the common room, you’ll likely see her munching on an apple. When waiting for classes to start, she’d be having pumpkin pasties in the corridor. One morning she's even spotted aloft on her broom, not flying, just nibbling on a cauldron cake midair while overlooking the Highlands.
When offered to learn all three Unforgivables, she's repulsed by how very tempted she is. Now knowing how to cast them, she dreads finding out if she's truly capable of using them. She tells herself she learned simply out of deep appreciation and respect for all forms of magic, but part of her, out of morbid curiosity, wonders what it'd feel like to be proficient with the Dark Arts.
Wren is ambivalent, at best, towards her connection to Ancient Magic. The notion of wielding one of the most formidable and arcane forms of magic should sound enticing… There were nights she spent wishing someone else could worry about Ranrok, Rookwood, those damned repositories and their ridiculous trials in her stead, that Ranrok and his loyalists would just go home, the poachers could jump off a cliff. She finds the Keepers priggish and infuriating. What she wouldn’t give to seal away the Map Chamber and never have to look into the jeering gazes of those towering portraits again.
⚘ Career & Aspirations
Healer - trained and became a Healer via the work experience programmes at St. Mungo's after her 7th year
Curse Breaker - applied months post graduation via multiple remedial exams on one of her worst subjects: Ancient Runes
⚘ Likes
Sunrises, sketching, Highwing, Pumpkin Pasties, speeding across the Black Lake on her broom, Cauldron Cakes, playing her violin, Butterbeer, kissing her girlfriend pestering Imelda Reyes, and the bird's-eye view when soaring above Hogwarts on her broom - she also has a nasty habit of launching herself off the highest cliff or the tallest tower when summoning her broom.
⚘ Dislikes
Spiders, raw eggs, people randomly petting her hair (happens more than most think), “Puffskein Dunkein” and trolls, though nothing gets to her quite like being micromanaged - the more overbearing the person is, the more likely she'd do the complete opposite of what's expected of her, wholly out of petty spite

I think tumblr ate my ask or it just didn't sent but what are your favorite Bastille songs / what are some songs you recommend?
i did NOT get this ask im very sorry anon.
it's genuinely hard for me to narrow down cause bastille is pretty up there in terms of favorite artists. i love all their shit, but a special mention goes out to their second studio album wild world since it's the one that made me a Fan
uh so here's a primer i guess i spent too much time on this lmao.
if you wanna listen to their big hits:
flaws - their first single in the uk. if you ever listened to ship playlists on 8tracks in like 2013-2015 then you've probably heard this song or a variant on it at some point.
pompeii - this is the song that really put them on the map and you definitely know it. it dominated the charts all over the place.
happier - the marshmello song that you've definitely heard before too. i think bastille wrote this for justin bieber or some shit but then decided they liked it too much to give it to him? lmao. anyway if you're not digging the version you hear on the radio all the time i recommend trying the stripped down version
good grief - their big hit off their second album. big in the uk, didn't really make as many waves elsewhere, but it's a really solid song anyway. one of those "upbeat tunes that's actually really fucking sad" ones
things we lost in the fire - another one off their first album. if you live in a wildfire area this might not be one to turn to. or maybe you'll find it cathartic idk i certainly do!!
quarter past midnight - a song about escapism, as was fitting when it was released in 2018 and equally fitting now. running away for a night of fucking around with friends, craving any kind of brief departure from the chaos of the modern world
skulls - this one was not a hit or a single and is technically a bonus track but i'm including it because once again if you ever clicked on a ship playlist on 8tracks in like 2013-2015 you've heard this one. and you know what that was justified this one is also good
if you wanna feel existentially depressed:
their whole discography. i mean i kid but i also don't. that's just kind of how bastille does it. BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS ones that hit me in particular would beeee
two evils - kind of a grim, haunting one introspecting about morality of the self.
oblivion - musing about the afterlife, love, and how time changes all of us.
those nights - contemplating what it is we seek when we plunge into reckless escapism, and the inherent loneliness of it; how even when surrounded by people there's still the pressure of the world outside, continuously coming to pieces
the draw - this one was written about the pull of pursuing a career in music vs. staying home with family and friends. in a broader sense, it can apply to a lot of things. i always felt it resonated with feelings of paranoia and displacement
winter of our youth - discusses childhood, nostalgia, and regret. if it feels like everything's slipping away, is it easier to relive the past, especially if the past is tinted rose?
sleepsong - loneliness, desperation, and the cyclical, abyss-like nature of all it encapsulates
if you want discussion of serious topics:
final hour - a bonus track off their second album that also became a bonus track off their third album? anyway this song talks about climate change and gun control. happy stuff
doom days - this one talks about, uh, everything! doomscrolling, political divides, escalating national tensions, climate change again, etc.
the currents - a song centered on political rhetoric and the power that figureheads have over the masses, the way they can orchestrate hate. basically it's not so subtly aimed at donald trump lmao, dan's literally sung it as much in a few live settings
WHAT YOU GONNA DO??? - social media addiction and the way capitalism and corporate interests have annexed our online experiences, fighting desperately for our attention as they seek to monetize every available aspect of our lives
four walls (the ballad of perry smith) - well this one is about uh. perry smith. who was charged with the death penalty for killing 4 people in the late 50's. but it's less directly about him and more a discussion of the morality of the death penalty and capital punishment
snakes - burgeoning anxieties and the impulse to turn to easy outs, like ignorance or alcoholism, to escape the world's global problems
if you want some pop culture sprinkled on top:
icarus - greek mythology. i like this one because it addresses something that i feel isn't addressed enough in discussions of this myth, which is that icarus is a very young lad. less about the pride of the fall, and more about the inherent tragedy of that.
laura palmer - the whole song is a david lynch shoutout. i've never seen twin peaks myself but the song still slaps.
daniel in the den - christian mythology. discusses the biblical tale of daniel in the lion's den and links that up to themes of betrayal and family.
poet - this one's a double feature, referencing both william shakespeare's sonnet 18 and edmund spencer's sonnet 75. also one of my favorites.
send them off! - this is another one of my favorites of theirs. it's also been described by dan as "othello meets the exorcist" and it very much delivers there
if you want something uplifting:
joy - while bastille (understandably) has a bit of reputation as a band that makes sad music about sad things, they've definitely got some happier songs in their catalogue. pun intended cha ching. this one's one of their more straightforwardly happy tunes
survivin' - this was a song they wrote while they were touring and then felt weird about releasing once the panini hit because it felt a bit on the nose. they ended up releasing it anyway and i am so glad they did cause it's a mood
act of kindness - the "happy" part here is debatable but i'm gonna include it anyway. it’s when someone does something nice for you and that impulse Changes you way down deep you know???
warmth - one of those "the world's going to shit but at least we have each other" kinds of tunes
the anchor - one of those "the world's going to shit but you're the one fucking thing that's still keeping me here" kinds of tunes
give me the future - their latest single as of this writing and one of the more optimistic tracks in their catalogue imo! it's yearning, but it's also with a genuine hope for the future.
and LASTLY. because im going to take every chance i can to plug this band. im going to throw some collabs and covers at you because there's one thing this band does SUPER well and it's collabs and covers.
of the night - this is the big one. it mashes up rhythm of the night by corona and rhythm is a dancer by SNAP! and it's so good they still do this one live and it goes off every time.
no angels - a mashup of "no scrubs" by TLC and "angels" by the xx, poured into a strangely mournful tune with clips from the hitchcock movie psycho. doesn't sound like it should work but it does. kinda really does.
torn apart - with GRADES and lizzo no less!!! it's got two parts but they're both excellent listen to them both
weapon - collab with angel haze, dan priddy, and F*U*G*Z and one of my absolute favorites
remains - remix of their song "skulls" but featuring rag'n'bone man and skunk anansie that adds an entire new dimension to the song, really fucking excellent
old town road mashup - lil nas x's old town road meets lizzo's good as hell meets radiohead's talk show host meets talking heads' road to nowhere meets the osmond's crazy horse. "what the fuck that shouldn't work" i KNOW and yet here it is!! BLATANTLY BANGING!!!
we can't stop - one of the few times dan smith subtly changes the lyrics of the song he's covering (most of the time he opts to keep the original pronouns and the like, which is very nice to see). anyway this one mixes miley cyrus's we can't stop with eminem's lose yourself and billy ray cyrus's achy breaky heart. and also the lion king's i just can't wait to be king is there. yes i know it sounds batshit especially because the whole thing is surprisingly melodic and heartfelt and you know what it works.
anyone but me x nightmares - mashing up joy crookes' anyone but me with easy life's nightmares and absolutely one of my favorites.
bad guy mashup - how many songs can they include with the word "bad" in the title? we've got bad guy (billie eilish), bad decisions (bastille), bad romance (lady gaga), and bad blood (taylor swift). bastille even has a song called bad blood and they didnt use it. they used taylor swift's version. also the distinctive guitar riff from dick dale's misirlou is there.
somebody mashup - how many songs can they include with the word "some" in the title? someone like you (adele), somebody told me (the killers), somebody to love (queen), use somebody (kings of leon), and someone you loved (lewis capaldi). seriously these guys take mashups to a new level.
final song - this is a cover of MØ's final song. it also adds in craig david's 7 days and, impossibly enough, europe's final countdown. how does it work. how.
ALL RIGHT. THATS ALL IVE GOT IN ME. HOPE THIS HELPED ANON AND IM SORRY IF THIS IS TOO MUCH
#askin hours#anon#bastille#ill put this in the bastille tag why not#this is predominantly a fall out boy blog but if any bastille bloggers are out there....all like 20 of you....#i see the work u do in this fandom and i love u for it

Ain’t My Fault
DESCRIPTION: Who knew dancing could changed everything forever?
CHARACTERS: Dean Winchester, Reader
RELATIONSHIP: Dean Winchester x Reader
WARNINGS: SMUTTTTTT. Like, hella smut.
WORD COUNT: 1880
AUTHOR’S NOTE: HEYYO! This was a request from the lovely @rileynicole1967. She wanted me to write a one shot based off Zara Larsson’s song “Ain’t My Fault”. Well, it’s pretty dirty and based off the lyrics, thats exactly how it was meant to be. I did use lyrics from the song and they will be bolded within the story! I hope you enjoy it!
MASTERLIST / DEAN WINCHESTER MASTERLIST
The boys had left, Sam to go see Eileen and Dean to go for a long supply run, so you dragged your small bluetooth stereo system out into the library. Your hips swayed along with the quick beat of a song you barely knew, the few drinks you’d had before this certainly helping your rhythm as you danced between tables.
Halfway through the song, your glass of whiskey was empty. You continued dancing over towards the small rolling bar that Dean made sure was fully stocked with hard liquor. You bit your lip as you poured your whiskey, the amber liquid sloshed around in the glass partly from your dancing but also from the buzz that was building in your head.
Soon enough, the song changed and Led Zeppelin’s ‘Communication Breakdown’ started playing. You fell easily into the familiar beat, closing your eyes as you roamed through the library, bumping into the tables as you danced. You sang every word, knowing it from your long night drives with the boys after hunts. You didn’t hear when Dean returned sooner than you expected. The music was too loud to hear the bunker door shut, Dean’s boots stomp against the metal stairs and him pulling out a chair from the map room table.
You turned around, stopping mid motion when you saw Dean, feet propped up on the table and sipping a beer slowly. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he chuckled and said, “Oh c’mon sweetheart, don’t stop the show. I just got settled in to enjoy it.”
You smirked with a soft blush raising to your cheeks, “Oh really, Winchester?” You began swaying your hips to the music again as you walked down the steps to the other side of the map room table. You set your glass down onto the lit up bench, and closed the short distance between Dean and yourself with sensual movements. You pushed his feet off the table and spread his legs to dance up close and personal to the eldest Winchester. You could see Dean gulp hard as his eyes fixed themselves to your face, “How are you liking this show?”
His eyes trailed down your body, an action that normally would have embarrassed you but the whiskey clouded brain you currently had made you more confident in your decisions, “Oh, sweetheart. I’m enjoying it more than you would know.” He sat back in his seat, digesting the new side of you he was seeing.
He shifted in his seat, moving his legs and accidentally tripping you. You fell into his lap and giggled, “You just made me trip, fall, and land on your lap.”
Dean bit his lip softly and smiled, “See, you’re too irresistible to not be in my lap.”
You repositioned yourself to face him and pushed your chest into his as you wrapped your arms around his neck, “Oh really, Winchester?”
He eyed your lips, “Yeah, that’s for sure.”
Crimson embarrassment quickly flooded to your cheeks as you debated giving in to the sexual tension that had been building between you two for months or ending this before it went too far. You looked down at his plump, luscious lips and decided, “Please don’t blame me for what ever happens next,” and dipped to connect your lips with his.
You could tell he was surprised at first but soon his lips moved along with yours, getting hungrier for more the longer you kissed. You both grabbed at each other, pulling off layers of flannel before Dean wrapped his arms around your torso tightly and he stood up. You wrapped your legs around his waist as he walked through the bunker, feeling his erection grow with the increased pressure.
He rounded the corner of his bedroom and kicked the door closed before throwing you on to his bed. You giggled as you bounced against the mattress but soon quieted as you saw Dean’s expression. His eyes were dark and shadowed with lust, his bottom lip was caught between his teeth as he inched his way towards you.
Dean crawled up the bed and laid down beside you, caressing your cheek as his eyes darted between your y/e/c eyes and rosy, kiss swollen lips. It was almost like he was giving you the chance to back out, but with the effects of the whiskey fading, you realized you’d wanted this for awhile, you just never had the courage to give in to temptation. You pulled at his dark gray t-shirt, bringing him closer to you. Smiling, you looked at his lips and then leaned in. You melted into each other as you kissed, limbs entangled together, clothes grabbed and pulled, and soon enough you both laid in your underwear beside each other.
You shifted, getting on top of Dean without breaking the kiss. Running your hands down his arms, you intertwined your fingers with his, pulling his hands above his head as your ground down onto his clothed member. Arousal pooled within your panties, soaking through the thin cotton as you continued your ministrations.
Dean pulled his hands away from yours and wrapped them around you back. His fingers slipped around your bra band with ease and tugged at the clasps, undoing it quickly before removing it in one swift motion, all while never breaking your kiss. Your nipples hardened against the cool air now surrounding them, shifting Dean’s focus towards them as he felt them brush against his chest.
His lips strayed from yours as he kissed down your neck to your chest. He took his time as he brushed his lips against your left breast before taking your nipple into his mouth softly. His tongue grazed against the soft, pink, bud as his fingers pulled at the opposite hardened peak. You arched your back from his touch, pushing your chest further into his face and hand. You ground your clothed core onto his erection once more, causing Dean to growl against you. Your smirk from his reaction quickly turned into a gasp as he nipped at your nipple and then flipped you onto your back.
“You aren’t going to tease me anymore like that, babygirl.” He rutted himself against you with a smirk as you squirmed beneath him. “It’s your turn now.”
You whimpered, “Oh c’mon Dean, I wasn’t teasing that bad.”
He let out one, deep chuckle, “Doesn’t matter.” He made his way down your body, kissing your silky skin between every word, “What. You. Do. To. Me. Gets. Done. Twice. As. Bad. To. You,” before he settled between your legs. You squirmed, causing him to laugh quietly to himself, “Get ready, babygirl.”
Dean kissed your thighs, giving attention to every paled scar, yellowing bruise, and bump from broken bones from hunting. Giving no attention to the area that you wanted him to. Arousal continued to pool and soak through your panties, which Dean soon noticed and bit his lip towards. “Damn, Y/N. Soaking already?” He ran a finger around the band of your panties with a smug grin, “I’ve barely touched you.” You shot daggers at him briefly for the comment but they went unnoticed.
He slipped another finger through the waistband and slowly pulled your panties down your legs before throwing the wet fabric across the room, Dean’s focus followed your underwear until they landed on his desk. When his focus shifted back to you, he groaned when he saw your clit glistening below him.
You blushed at his reaction and looked towards the ceiling to try and conceal your slight embarrassment, but Dean’s fingers grazing your slit made you look down towards him. He took his time, ignoring the arousal swollen bud that was in his face, tracing your entrance with his finger and gathering your slick on the tip. He turned his finger slowly, looking at the light bounce off his arousal covered finger. Plunging the finger into his mouth he closed his eyes and sighed, “Mmm, don’t you taste good.”
You squirmed once again, “Dean, please.”
He bit his lip as he looked up towards your face from between your legs, “Please what?”
You growled in frustration. “You know what I wan-,” you cut yourself off with a gasp when Dean dipped his head and wrapped his lips around your clit. He sucked and licked at the nub slowly, as his fingers entered you lazily, both his mouth and fingers worked in unison to bring you towards your climax quickly.
You moaned beneath him, grabbing at the sheets as you felt the slow burn in your belly turn into a raging wildfire. “Dean,” you gasped out.
His mouth left your clit for a second so he could praise you, “That’s it. Be a good girl and cum for me, Y/N.” Dean’s lips wrapped around the bud once more as he worked his fingers slightly faster, waiting for you to come undone beneath him.
“Fuck!” You moaned as you pulled at the sheets, your orgasm washing over you rapidly. Dean removed his fingers and swept his tongue through your slick, taking one last taste before he got off the bed to remove his boxers. You stifled a gasp as you watched his member bounce in the air from his waistband catching, the length and girth better than you imagined.
He climbed back into the bed quickly and settled between your legs once more to line himself up with your entrance. His tongue peaked out between his teeth as he pushed into you slowly, both of you groaned until he was fully sheathed inside you, fitting perfectly. “Fuck,” he chuckled out. “Better than I imagined.”
You giggled, “I could say the same to you.”
Dean grinned and then began thrusting gradually falling into the perfect rhythm. The tip of his cock rubbed against your g-spot perfectly. Your fingers dug into his back, your nails leaving red trails down his bronzed skin, as another orgasm snuck up on you. You clenched around Dean as you came down from your high. Secondary waves washed over you, causing you to contract around him periodically, bringing him to his climax rapidly. His thrusts began to falter before he came with a grunt.
He fell onto the bed at your side and pulled you towards him, kissing the top of your head as you shifted in his arms to lay your head against his chest. “Well,” he snickered, “That was something that I never thought would happen.”
You buried your face into his chest with a giggle, “I told you not to blame me for what happened next.”
He pulled away slightly and slid his hand beneath your chin to pull your face up to look towards his. “I would never blame you for this.” He looked into your eyes and placed a soft kiss to your lips, “This was something that I wanted, hell, I think we both wanted to happen for a while.” His eyes crinkled in the corners as a small smile crept onto his face before he pulled you into his chest, “This should have happened sooner.”
You sighed as you wrapped an arm around his waist, “It definitely should have.”
It didn’t take long for you both to fall asleep within each other's arms for the first time of many to come.

screaming the name of a foreigner’s god; the purest expression of grief With nurseydex if you want.
it.. has been a Bit since you sent this prompt. my deepest apologies, but these prompts gave me Trouble. i don’t even know if this is what you asked for, but i wanted to write and this is what came out and i have made so many bad decisions in the last 24 hours. so. enjoy?
takes place the frogs’ senior year. warning for implied homophobia and religious imagery
On the nights when Dex comes up to his room, Nursey never gets any sleep.
Part of that is because of, well, the obvious reason. But the other part of it is that, after, when their skin has cooled enough to chill them and they’ve taken cover under Nursey’s heavy duvet, limbs errant against other limbs in such a small space, and Dex forgets to say that he should leave before his eyelids slip sweetly over his shrinking pupils, Nursey can’t help but watch him sleep for longer than they’d agreed to.
Not that they’d agreed to any amount of sleep watching. But Nursey thinks he’s owed at least some of it, even if he steps over the limit without a care for any words like right or should. Dex, when he sleeps, is this breathtaking kind of neutral. He doesn’t smile in his sleep, but he doesn’t frown either, instead his expression lays flat, lips parted just enough to wheeze softly, his fuzzy orange eyebrows a smooth line, his eyelashes dusting the tops of his freckled cheeks.
Nursey is so close to him in these moments. Closer, even, than he is in the moments before, mouths caught like skin on barbed wire, fingers curled too tight in the sheets, in Dex’s hair. Dex kisses him, mostly, to keep him quiet, Nursey thinks, doesn’t want Chowder hearing them in the middle of the night, but Nursey appreciates it nonetheless.
In those moments, Nursey isn’t close to Dex, really. In those moments, with Dex’s eyes shut tight and wrinkled, brows pulled together like a loose thread has been absentmindedly tugged from his forehead and left the fabric of his skin bunched, Nursey feels so very far away from the physicality of what they do.
“God,” Dex whispers, harsh, sometimes as he lets go. Usually it’s into Nursey’s mouth, so he tastes the sourness of the word. God, Nursey swallows, and he doesn’t know enough about the Catholic church to make any original metaphor but it tastes like what he thinks that wine they all share must taste like, except only it’s how it tastes to a queer boy who comes back from Maine quiet and softer and dimmer, too.
Nursey wishes, sometimes, in his more fanciful moments, that Dex would say his name instead.
But in this moment, with Dex asleep, his cheek crushed, velvety, into Nursey’s pillow and his soft wheezing filling up the damp air between them, Nursey wishes for little else than more time. More time, before Dex’s eyes open and he sees Nursey and the softness of sleep slips away in favor of the daylight glean of sunshine on a hard surface, and Dex makes his mumbling excuses and returns back to his basement hideaway. More time, before the morning light peaks out behind Nursey’s shade and plays devilishly through the remnants of gold left in Dex’s hair from summer break, and Dex wakes up calm and silent and leaves without a word. More time, before Nursey gives in to the heaviness in his eyelids and relinquishes his hold on this moment like someone lets go of a cliffside, like letting go of the one thing you live for, the one thing that lets you live.
Dex is always gone when Nursey opens his eyes.
If Nursey asked– and he hasn’t– he’s sure Dex would say it’s to keep the guys from finding out. In his meaner moments, Nursey thinks there’s nothing for them to find out. They all know, already, the way he feels for Dex, and the only other thing is the sex, so unimportant in comparison.
But in his kinder moments, Nursey tells himself there’s more to it than that. These moments, when Dex is sleeping, sure feel like more. But, too, the times when Dex sits next to him on roadies and steals one of his earbuds because his have broken once again and he’s actually started to enjoy Nursey’s music recently, or the times when they’re studying late at night in the Haus kitchen and Nursey reminds Dex to eat something, forces a muffin on him when he doesn’t react, and Dex says thank you like it means more than a pastry, to him, and Nursey’s breath tangos in his chest like wildfire.
Inevitable, it feels like. He and Dex will get there, someday, he thinks, even if he’s already there. Dex will fall into step with him, one day, blink in that surprised, delighted way he has that Nursey’s been waiting this whole time. “Sorry,” maybe, he’ll say, for taking so long, and Nursey will shake his head, say, “Worth it.”
Nursey thinks, maybe, that’s what faith is. Not the bitter kind, the blind kind, but the sure kind, the kind with its eyes open, staring. Letting go of a cliff because you’re staring down at the net that will catch you and you know, without a doubt, that the tension will hold, even if you’ve never taken physics a day in your life, because the person who put it up is – good.
Nursey’s eyes are heavy, the dirty bastards, and he can feel that he is running out of time. He reaches out, bleary, and curls his hand over Dex’s wrist to feel the thrum of his pulse.
“Nursey?” Dex mumbles, sleepy, his expression beginning to gather up wrinkles and folds.
“Hmm.” Nursey curls his fingers tighter. “Stay,” he says, and it feels like falling.
The space between Dex’s eyebrows smooths. “Kay,” he says, the word round and warm.
Nursey exhales, caught.

𝒊. 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.
there is perhaps no more a formidable surname in the organized crime circuit in all of europe than greystone , a name risen to fame through countless court cases and highly publicized trials . dubbed ‘ el chapo of the old world , ‘ liam greystone makes his reputation known as a ruthless and conniving leader of a million dollar cartel business , distributing to most of the UK and eastern europe . it’s perhaps an even greater shock to find even as public enemy #1 , he takes a welsh wife by the name of marissa and weds her in a lavish and very public ceremony , surmounting crowds not unlike those of the royal weddings . such a decision is a clear power move on his part , flexing the pure influence it would require to have such a public family life with no fear of repercussion from rivals or enemies .
it’s several months following their wedding that james is born , with nicholas taking a few years after . elite prep schools in the most posh london neighborhoods were abuzz with equal parts curiosity and concern to be sharing streets with the most feared mafia family in their whole country , though the elite nature of liam’s new societal presence meant he took to his ‘ dealings ‘ with a but more subtlety than before his rise to power . something of a media frenzy , it’s the talk of the town when marissa falls pregnant another time , nearly a decade after nicholas’s birth , this time with a baby girl , something that’s all the sun and mirror can seem to post about in their celebrity tabloids section for weeks on end . her birth raises questions of immense speculation : what will the world do with a greystone girl ?
as it would result , they’d worship her . stevie found herself raised in a world that sought her out at every turn , cameras pointed towards her at every outing . james and nick , now teens by the time she enters primary and just as big of terrors as their father , view their lavish lifestyle as the result of some bigger destiny for greatness , as their father had always fed to them , something they passed on to their baby sister who took it as her mantra . one of the earliest manifestations of a rather intense personality , stevie takes this to an extreme , turning her unwanted stardom into a fuel for an ever-increasing god complex to develop . the apple of her father’s eye and every bit as quick , her instructors note a dedication to perfection and an obsession with accomplishment , along with a natural intelligence that leads her to blast through her studies with relative ease .
she’s just 16 when she completes her schooling and already has a reputation that will precede her , just as her surname had before . relaxed and observant , her voice never peaks higher than a low alto with her charming londoner drawl , a facade never cracking from her knowing poker face . there’s something about being so above everyone ( even if it is a self-imposed superiority ) that leads stevie all but to the brink of isolation , finding solace only in the words of a self-deluded father and her own scribings in a leather bound notebook . piano lessons since early childhood lend themselves to melodies following melodies , and before she’s even able to legally drink , she’s released her first album under the moniker ‘ grey ’ titling it pure heroine as a cheeky nod to the inevitable accusations of it being her family ties that got her a record deal . but as streams of the melancholy tunes begin to pick up fans worldwide , the album’s themes of isolation , abandonment , and wasted youth hit harder than ever anticipated from the youngest greystone . she leaves home to tour the world with the album reaching #1 in countless countries , forging her own path with a maturity beyond her years and a vision beyond this world .
the tour ends and she’s smitten by the charm of new york , opting to move to continue to pursue her music away from the tangled complications of family life in england . barely 18 and perhaps intoxicated with the loneliness of a life spent in the watching eye of others , the semblance of privacy is something she takes to like an addict , exasperating prying paparazzi with her notorious refusal to comment on details of her personal life . she builds a wall between herself and the world , keeping out prying eyes with a tight - lipped grin . its at this time that she lets the first person into her life perhaps ever , a whirlwind romance so intoxicating it results in a courthouse marriage done in secret . never to be seen together , never a word spoken to anyone else , stevie relishes in the secret which is soon to sour upon the passing of their honeymoon phase . with her brothers expanding their reach into the US for their unsavory dealings , it’s not long after her marriage begins that the conflicts reach a breaking point , an annulment following barely 6 months after they had traded ‘ i do’s . ’
she takes to the studio with a new resentment of the concept of love and even more sequestered heart , producing melodrama which takes the world by storm , snagging her a grammy win for album of the year . fatigued from the constant go-around of keeping her secrets her own except for when they’re taken to radio streams , she does a limited tour for melodrama and lands herself right back in new york at 20 , putting grey3 on the backburner as she takes to all the hedonistic engagements she had indulged herself in during her time on tour . she’s kept herself busy between mindless flings and days-long benders with hobbies such as photography and writing , the former of which is building her a rather impressive reputation in the arts world .
𝒊𝒊. 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 .

His heart thumps against his chest, the heavy motion inevitably resounding in his ears. You are trying your best to lift your hands filled with stuff to gesture him to hurry come to the lift lobby to join you.
That moment of warmth.
Although it lasted for less than a second, Seokjin was more than sure the hug would stalk him to his sleep and creep into his dreams. A car honk in the distance snaps him out of his train of thoughts temporarily and he scurries his way over to you.
To be perfectly candid with himself, Seokjin did enjoy having your arms wrapped around him. A tad more than he wish he did.
He was never one who admires unnecessary affection from women. He thinks that they are here for solely two reasons—the sex and the money. He didn't crave for anything more than that, not wanting to complicate matters by involving feelings. He thinks there wasn't a need to drag them along the line of false hope and then throw them into the gutter, long forgotten and never contacted again. It may sound cruel and objectifying to those ladies, like they were nothing more than sex dolls discarded after Seokjin has his way with them.
Seokjin is a man like that, a clown on the outside constantly spilling your laughter, making you feel like he's everything you've ever wanted, and wish to marry.
Then comes the worst part.
He spoils you with gifts that costs ten times your apartment, then he sugar coats you with words filled with honey and then at last—they lift you to reach the peak of the stairway to heaven and finally, when you are completely indulged in the utopia he has created for you with the endless wads of cash he owns—he would disappear from your bed without another spoken word, leaving only the lingering scent of his cologne and the many branded goods he gifted for you to reminisce about. Many of them try to drag the process for as long as they can, not wanting to hop on his dick too soon, feeding off his money like a starved leech. Because it is a common belief they all know about, the CEO never sleeps with the same woman twice.
Because that is also when their time is up—he tosses them into the garbage bin.
Brutal of him, definitely. But the clean-cut action keeps him void of any relevant emotions or feelings he knows he shouldn’t catch.
The topic is often discussed about in his office, outside his private office where the many murmurs pass tales to one another, spreading like wildfire throughout the whole floor, followed by the entire building.
Many have their doubts about said man acting this way to the women he bedded, for he remains the humorous and easygoing CEO that he was. Everybody who have met Seokjin would assuredly say that he is kind and thoughtful—certainly not a person who would treat women in this manner.
However, there is one factor which proves that the magnanimous boss himself, has a player side to his love life. But no one is to interfere with the head’s business or even worse, allow him to have a ear about the scandalous topics included in their morning chatters over cups of ready-made coffee.
That dreadful day, Seokjin enters a random café downtown where a woman patiently (17 missed calls) waits for his arrival. She goes by the name, Yoonji and whether that label was real or fake—he really couldn’t be bothered.
He was about to break the news to her, like he did to every other lady, just that Yoonji in particular was rather resilient in her pursuits.
He met her at a company dinner, his hormones getting the better of him when he spots her in a tight burgundy dress. They had a quickie in the toilet and after he reached his high, his mind cleared and he wished he hadn’t done that in the first place.
Looking as to how things have unfolded, he had rather indulge in the strokes of his palm than to stick his dick into a woman like that ever again.
Situated at the corner of the place was the shrew, and he instantly regretted sleeping with this one upon the sight of her furrowed brows and ugly frown plastered on her face. He silently berated himself for the rash decision made that night.
As she notices his presence, her expression switched a hundred and eighty degrees around and Seokjin was suddenly welcomed with a big fake beam on her face.
“Jin! What took you so long? I’ve been waiting here for hours...” The lack of honourifics ticked him off at the start, he eyes her warily. He does not recall her voice being this high-pitched, but whatever suits her.
Yoonji juts out her bottom lip, staring up at him with the best soft eyes she could manage to gain as much pity as she could to the waste of her precious time. Seokjin only blinks blandly at her whining, waiting for her to quit with the shenanigans.
But persistent, was she.
“Shall we go shopping?” Her eyes twinkle with anticipation of swiping all of his cards.
When she tries to cling onto his arm, Seokjin shrugs her hold off curtly and glares at her.
Seokjin detests those kind of women—the ones who stay for a long duration, trying to get the most out of him before they lose the chance to do so ever again. Yoonji seems like she hasn’t fully grasped the concept of the way he handles matters regarding women.
“I came here to inform you that from this second onwards, you and I have got nothing to do with each other.”
Her jaw drops and it almost felt like she hasn’t been properly offended by a man before.
He almost feels bad.
Almost.
“We had our fun and that was it. The first and last time.” He explains before muttering a quick and stern goodbye.
Yoonji is somehow unable to tolerate the embarrassment of being rejected in public, she snatches her purse from the seat and storms off, leaving a trail of fiery shame with every heavy click of her red pair of stilettos.
Now that she’s gone, he had might as well settle for a cup of coffee since he was here.
The staff at the cash register grows pink upon taking Seokjin’s order, stumbling on her words and unable to maintain proper eye contact with a man this beautiful. He darts his tongue out, hands propped on the edge of the counter as he decides his choice of beverage. A quick fix of iced coffee would usher his troubles about the company (and women) out of the door.
Just a small cup—he promises himself to order—would suffice in getting him through the rest of the day. The afternoon was reserved for an important shareholders meeting to discuss about certain issues regarding Kim Corporation, and Seokjin dreaded nothing more than that. That is also partially the reason why he agreed to leave the office to break things off with Yoonji, and in the mean time take a fresh breather from the hectic schedule of a CEO.
The absence of the fiery wrath from earlier on turned the ambience of the coffee place into much soothing one—the soft lights hanging from above, the addictive aroma of freshly ground coffee beans and the peaceful music layering the chatters over tea. The noises coming from the bustling street just outside were blocked by the safe glass walls of the café, which further accentuated the calmness of the site.
Out of boredom, the receipt in his hands is folded twice into a neat square as Seokjin looks over to the people strolling across the concrete pavement located beside the outlet.
Clusters of ladies on a shopping trip with hands full of bags, groups of office workers heading back after a fulfilling session of lunch—his eyes linger on their forms with a tinge of envy. Rarely did Seokjin have any close friends to hang out with like everyone else, the most he could have would be a close associate of his, another big figure in the company Jisung. Jisung was one of the head directors in Kim Corporations, and they often went for a drink or two after hours. But that was it, and the most they discussed were about, sickeningly again—work matters.
He lost his personal life by dedicating so much time to his career.
“One iced Americano!”
The voice was loud yet adenoidal, jostling Seokjin away from his line of thoughts.
He strides over to the collection counter smoothly, charming demeanour fully intact as his wide shoulders portray him as a model on a runway. Everything he does attracts the attention of everyone—people start whipping their heads and uttering something under their breath, and girls smacking their friend’s arms in excitement of bumping into a man this good-looking— Seokjin knows the effect he has on people. Regardless of genders.
On a daily basis, Seokjin received treatment like a king. Heads would immediately bend when graced with his presence. A light press of a button would have his entire schedule sorted out. A simple phone call would bring many opportunities for huge figures to flood his account. A quick snap of his fingers would bring him the most delightful cup of coffee. Two and a half cube of sugar, and a teaspoon of milk. No more, no less—served with perfection.
Therefore, he is currently glaring at the barista, nose scrunched in dissatisfaction and eyebrows knitted with irritation.
Therefore, this is beyond unacceptable.
The cup of coffee looked like it had been tossed onto the counter, with no straws within reach and the liquid looking stale. He places the receipt onto the table and inspects the drink carefully, like it had been drugged.
The barista does not even spare him another glance, hand coming up to swipe the receipt off the counter and into a small bin, before proceeding to continue making orders for the next customers.
He’s about to open his mouth to let out a series of complains, but he realises the many pair of eyes trained on his figure as his hand is raised mid-air.
She busies herself with the next list of beverages to prepare, completely not minding the irate customer drumming his fingers onto the countertop lividly.
His fingers paused in the action abruptly.
It came to him like a hint used in a hidden object game, a brief yet distinct twinkle alerting his eyes of the well camouflaged feature.
There was something off about you—your swollen eyes and croaky voice, just the mere look of you would make one think that you’ve climbed out of the lowest pits of hell. Your eyes were hollow, from what seemed like a night’s worth of crying. You haven’t even remembered to provide him with a cup holder like they would always do for customers. A short hiss escapes your mouth as fast as it dies, the cup of hot coffee you were brewing slightly scalding the side of your thumb, causing you to flinch. This then, your co-worker steps in and shoves you to the cash register to take over cashier after she makes sure the burn was nothing grave. She mutters something into your ear, her face contorted in worry as she squeezes your arm for a bit before the both of you went about your businesses.
Prudently, he forgoes the confrontation, helping himself to a straw and heading out in silence.
Who would ever expect meeting the same person twice in such a short period of time?
A part of him told himself to grab the packet of mealworms off the shelf and leave; but another part of him nagged at him to step out of his comfort zone to buy you the pet you couldn’t afford. Looking back, he doesn’t regret his decision. There were not many people or things going on in his life that required him to spend his money on, so he had might as well use the sum of money rotting in his bank to help a soul in need. But of course, he could have invested that amount into a Thom Browne jacket but—it wouldn’t harm anyone to do some good in this world. Especially for somebody as wealthy as he is.
Because here you were, standing just across of him in the small of your dormitory.
You noticed the way Seokjin crinkled his nose as he stepped through the front door, obviously displeased at the environment of the discussion.
Your feel your face grow red of embarrassment upon sudden realisation of how untidy and dirty your room was. There wasn’t even sufficient space for Snowball to settle down.
“I’m sorry,” You blabber out, as if the apology would improve the state of your room. “It’s just...I’ve never had the time to properly clean this mess up.”
He rubs his palms together, a plan seemingly forming in his head.
“Ah,” He hums with empathy. “You should move out of this shabby place.”
Seokjin suggests so easily, you can’t help but knit your brows at his bold assumption that you could even afford the rent here. Or a new apartment, at the very least.
But before you could even voice your destitution, the next thing that comes out of that mouth of his leaves you utterly shocked.
“I’ll buy an apartment for you to live in. Near the campus and luxurious. How does that sound?”
A positive shock.
Seokjin looks so collected as he says this, like he was offering to purchase a pack of candies for you and not a god damn apartment.
Your eyes can’t help but widen in temptation, hand itching to feel if this man was even real. You raise your brows and tilt your head, giving him a moment to take back what he had just said. Or hurry fill the stunned silence with a “just kidding”.
“But,”
But of course, there isn’t any free lunch in this world.
“There are rules.” In some way or another, his voice lowers an octave and his expression switches completely to a cold, demeaning one. There was no trace of humour on his face and you could tell he was serious about this whole ordeal. You gulp, grip tightening on Snowball’s cage as you look at him with a baited breath.
What he does next catches you off-guard.
Seokjin takes a step closer to you, hand reaching for the cage you were holding. Gently, he wraps his fingers around yours causing you to slightly flinch away from his sudden touch. You then realise his intentions when he tugs the handle towards himself and you quickly release your grasp, allowing him to carry it for you.
He chuckles at your tense form and mused, “Why are you so sensitive? It’s making me wonder about things.” The Seokjin from the car trip has returned, but this time there’s a small twist in his tone. Like...he was teasing you.
You hurriedly blurt out an explanation.
“S-Sorry, I don’t know. I just-”
"It’s fine. I understand how you feel.”
What? No, he didn’t. He was spoiling you so much and treating you to too many things that you were growing suspicious of his motive and the rules that were never mentioned.
It wasn’t like it was unsettling with him, you knew he wouldn’t dare do anything dangerous to you because somehow you trusted him.
His looks. Did it have anything got to do with his handsome features?
God, how fucked up could you be? It was like you entirely forgotten the story of the wolf beneath the sheep’s clothing.
Or it must be the change in his personality. Just minutes ago, the both of you were bickering and giggling over his dumb riddles. But right now, the hidden aim he had was slowly crawling its way to the top of the water, no longer buried deep in the beds.
“No, you don’t.” You disagree. “It’s not because you’re too good-looking.” Well it partially is, but you won’t admit it to encourage his sky high pride.
“I don’t understand why you’re doing all of this for me. Previously, I felt apologetic for what I had said about you at the shop, so I decided to follow your wishes to not agitate you any further.” Snowball has finished her carrot snack and fidgets around, causing the cage to rattle in his hand. “Is there something you need from me?” You don’t get him at all. How can one just provide you with everything without asking for anything in return? You were trying to be cautious about his huge burst of kindness towards you. His offers made you feel like you owe him something, and you didn’t fancy the feeling at all.
“Honestly, all I wanted to do was buy you this rabbit because you looked so sad.” He provides you with an explanation succinctly. This man was nothing but truthful when it came to his feelings. But how had he known that you were feeling down? Had he been observing you?
Things between the both of you did not transpire like what Seokjin predicted.
Unlike the many other women he met, you were blunt and skittish at the same time, which he found rather intriguing. You did not show any sort of desire to get closer to him or fawn over his dashing appearance despite knowing how loaded he was. You had even said that you wouldn’t even fall for someone like him. Instead of getting infuriated over your insult, he felt fired up. Like you were a challenge and it made the situation turn way more exciting. All he wanted to do was buy you the rabbit as a kind gesture and leave, but there is clearly a turn of events.
“But since you asked,” Seokjin plops Snowball’s home onto the top of your mattress. “All I need from you is you.”
“Me?” The question bounces off your lips immediately in return.
In a blink, he slides his fingers past your face and through your hair, palm lightly cupping your jaw. His other hand finds home at the small of your waist, successfully pulling you flush against his body—the bags of pet necessities falling to the ground with a loud thud.
“Yes, princess.” He holds your waist in such a possessive manner, you can’t help but squirm a bit under his harsh grip. “You.” Seokjin reassures and lifts
you up onto your study desk, body coming in to spread your legs. “Seokjin!” You squeaked in surprise and rest your hands on his shoulders for support. They felt amazing to the touch. It was obvious he worked out from the mere feel of his broad shoulders under the white dress shirt.
You helplessly blush hard at the position, skirt hiked up and thighs apart with Seokjin in between. He grabs you by the waist, locking you in place and you witness his pupils fill a shade darker.
“Rule number one. You are only allowed to address me as Sir or...” He looks to the side, a little embarrassed to meet your gaze as he says the following name. “...Daddy.”
You blinked at him cluelessly. You have never experienced anything close to this before. Now you know where this was going, you didn’t want to stop. He was a perfect distraction, a means you can use to relax. He was not forcing you into anything harmful. The dominance he had over you was overpowering and you feel yourself only nodding to whatever he demanded.
He slaps the side of your thigh, “Answer me, princess.”
“I understand...Daddy.” The words slip from your mouth, foreign as ever. But there’s something about calling Seokjin that, that makes you want to squeeze your thighs together. He lets out a throaty groan at that, satisfaction tugging at the corners of his lips. “God princess, you really do want to please me, don’t you?” He runs his hands along your thighs and occasionally explore the inner sides of them, making you feel a little but just not enough.
“You haven’t finished telling me about your rules,” You remind him, slightly above a whisper. If sex was what he wanted in exchange for all these purchases, you are more than willing. Maybe he would be that someone who could top Jungkook’s ways in bed.
Seokjin was about to explode. Having you legs spread, breathing ragged on the desk, willing to give him anything he wanted from you. Usually, the women he messed with try their hardest to seduce him, agree to pleasure him the way he wanted and gave too much to the point where he grew sick of it. He clearly felt the unhappiness buried beneath their pretence when he wouldn’t go down on them. He couldn’t imagine just how many dicks their pussies have interacted with. But you, you still kept your hands intact on his shoulders, not wanting to make a move unless he did so. Your hands did not fly to his zipper and palm him through his crotch automatically like every other girl would do so—that’s why he finds himself craving you to do just that to him more than ever. Maybe someone like you...so pure and innocent, elevated the fervent desire to devour you. You were driving him crazy by both your perfect obedience and reservation. He decided to test the waters.
“Rule number two, don’t do anything unless I ask you to.” Seokjin wished to see how far you are willing to go to abide by his rules, and be the best girl for him. At that, your hands instantly fall from his shoulders and your thighs stopped squeezing together. He found himself missing your touch more than he expected. He was the king of control when it came to these kind of things so why is he so flustered-
“Anything else, Daddy?” You look at him with questioningly. Anything for that house and rabbit.
“Rule number three,” He continues nonetheless, recovering from the weird sparkles twinkling in his heart.
“No strings attached. You live your life and I will live mine. Only I am able to call you and not the other way round.” He gleams at this rule and proud of how he had said it so confidently, ascertain his dominance would reappear.
“Sure, let’s just go with that.” Does this mean there is some kind of agreement between the both of you? He buys you things and you would pleasure him in return. You weren’t looking for anything that required commitment and exclusiveness, and you could get your cunt filled every now and then. It was a win-win situation.
“Rule number four, don’t screw around with other guys.” If he wanted to do this, he wanted to do it right. He didn’t want any other dick coming close to the pussy he owns. “I’m good with that.” You wouldn’t even have time to do so, considering the pile of work assigned to you every week.
Fuck, were you for real? Seokjin cannot deny the surprise he felt at your compliance and your lack of care for exclusivity.
“Kiss me.” He suddenly commands, not quite sure why he had done that either. Perhaps it was the way you somehow never fail to make his heart flutter with this little gestures.
Without holding back and following his orders like he mentioned, you wrap your arms around his neck and pull his lips close to yours. Close, but not touching yet. There is a split second of the both of you just looking into each other’s eyes, like he was the only thing that mattered and you were all he ever wanted at that moment. You swear he lets out a shaky exhale before you are colliding your lips with his, staying there for a while before you proceed with your ministrations. It turned into little pecks and he feel him pull you closer to him by the waist. Eyes closed, the both of you relish in the feeling of having your mouths connected and tongues slowly making an appearance.
You wonder how long he wants to be kissed because Seokjin never stops, savouring every last bit of your mouth, allowing your wet muscle to explore his teeth as he gently sucks on it. You can tell that he’s enjoying it as well, eyes shut tight and drowning in the motions of your lips, the squelching sounds intensifying the kiss. It feels great, to be kissed in this manner after so long—the need he has for you burning a hole in the pit of your stomach.
Finally, he pulls away reluctantly and you don’t miss the dark shade of red coating his cheeks, lips swollen and eyes a haze—all from one kiss. You know you don’t look any better than him, the numbing sensation on your lips sparks a clear desire for the man standing before you.
You can feel his erection pressed against your core and he is not one to be shameful of an occurrence like that, instead he presses against you harder—the tip hitting your clit so accurately and eliciting a moan to spill from your lips. He seems to be amused by your reaction, and realises he almost forgot about how sensitive you are. Seokjin takes it as a green light and keeps rutting against your damp panty-clad heat, the both of you enjoying the friction provided between your clothes. You would want to strip and ride his cock till he blanks out, but you figured the dry-humping would suffice.
His eyebrows furrow in concentration, using the tent in his pants to focus on making you whine in pleasure. Every time he glides past your clit, you would let out a soft moan, hands laid on the desk supporting your crumbling self. With a circle furiously rolled onto your nub with his thumb, you are surging forward and collapsing into his arms, allowing the orgasm to wash away gradually.
You need him, and that’s exactly what he wanted from you—and you are so ready to give him everything he wished for.
“I’ll call you,” is all he leaves you with after asking for your number, exiting your room with a clear bulge in his slacks. You are left on the desk with your panties soaked and legs trembling, eyes falling onto Snowball—who was thankfully fast asleep already.

It’s been nearly ten years since Lil Wayne, on Birdman’s 2009 hit, “Money to Blow,” implored listeners not to worry about Cash Money’s future because the label would be all right as long as they “put Drake on every hook.”
Since then, Drake’s earned the right to be mentioned in the same breath as Rap’s Greatest Scene-Stealers ever—Busta Rhymes, André 3000, and Lil Wayne—as he’s swiped dozens of songs out from under artists on the strength of show-stopping guest verses.
Thanks for watching!Visit Website
Even more, a Drake feature practically guarantees you a hit: over the past decade, he’s guested on seven No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart (“No Lie,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Right Above It,” “Aston Martin Music,” “I’m On One,” “Say Something,” and “Only”), and 13 Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 (“Work,” “What's My Name,” “She Will,” “MIA,” “Look Alive,” “No Guidance,” “Going Bad,” “Yes Indeed,” “Right Above It,” “F***** Problem,” “Love Me,” “I’m On One,” and “Walk It Talk It”).
With his status as hip-hop’s Feature King unchallenged, here are Drake’s 50 best guest verses.
Thanks for watching!Visit WebsiteThanks for watching!Visit Website
But first, a couple of notes before we begin:
We’ve omitted songs where Drake only sings the hook: Rick Ross’ “Diced Pineapples” and “Aston Martin Music”; Lil Wayne’s “She Will,” “Love Me,” and “With You”; Gucci Mane’s “Back on Road”; Tyga’s “Still Got It.”
Also ineligible are remixes that double as Drake freestyles: “We Made It,” “Paris Morton Music,” “Sweeterman,” “Tell Your Friends,” and “Freak N You.”
Without further ado...
50. Nicki Minaj — “Champion” ft. Drake, Nas & Young Jeezy
Album: Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (2012)Producer: T-Minus, Nikhil Seetharam
Two years before he was having tea with Erykah Badu on 2014 loosie “Days In the East,” Drizzy mentions that he used to stay with her in his verse on “Champion.” And while Jeezy might steal the show with his appearance, Drake delivers the more confident verse, reflecting on how he makes “hits in three acre cribs” and “stars outta basic bitches.”
49. PartyNextDoor — “Recognize” ft. Drake
Album: PartyNextDoor Two (2014)Producer: PartyNextDoor
This is Peak Drake: In the span of two bars, he plans trips to Europe, then remembers his side piece’s Benz needs snow-equipped tires.
48. Preme — “DnF” ft. Drake & Future
Album: Dear America (2014)Producer: Noel Cadastre & Noah “40” Shebib
You’d be remiss to bring up this verse around lyrical heads, but admit it: Drake’s performance on “DnF” is unbelievably catchy. Even more, it contains one of the best Sad Boy Drake sequences in his catalog.
47. Big Sean — “Made” ft. Drake
Album: Finally Famous... Vol. 3: BIG (2010)Producer: Kanye West
In the summer of 2010, Big Sean should’ve known better than to request a feature from the Rap Rookie of the Year. Predictably, his decision backfired: Drake not only washed the Detroit rapper on his own song (“Made”), but arguably had the best overall verse on the entire mixtape. I wish I could say Sean learned his lesson, but considering what took place three summers later (Kendrick’s guest spot on “Control”), we both know the answer.
46. Rick Ross — “Gold Roses” ft. Drake
Album: Port of Miami 2 (2019)Producer: OZ, Syk Sense, Vinylz, & The Rascals
Writing about the song in his review of Port of Miami 2, my friend Yoh said it best: “Drake has one of the most seamless deliveries in hip-hop. The words don’t have any weight, and his voice never fumbles the cadence. He steps into a particular zone. As a lyricist and performer, Drake must be considered a great rapper. The blasphemy line. The double-jointed line, too. Scorpion needed ‘Gold Roses’ more than Port of Miami 2.”
45. French Montana — “No Shopping” ft. Drake
Album: MC4 (2016)Producer: Murda Beatz, Cubeatz
Congrats to Joe Budden for turning a one-sided war against Drake into the most unnecessary rap beef in recent memory. In the summer of 2016, their feud culminated in Drake sending multiple shots at Budden on French Montana’s “No Shopping.” In hindsight, these barbs overshadow Drizzy’s superb verse, which has earned its place in the canon of underrated Drake guest spots.
44. Bun B — “Put It Down” ft. Drake
Album: Trill OG (2010)Producer: Boi-1da, D10
Nine years on, Drake’s verse on Bun B’s “Put It Down” has aged like fine wine. Following a couple of cringy lines early on (“I never cheat unless you count the girls I cheat on;” “Homesick just when I thought I was sick of home”), Drake finds his sweet spot and begins rapping like the superstar he’d soon become.
43. Meek Mill — “Going Bad” ft. Drake
Album: Championships (2018)Producer: Wheezy
Drake’s 2018 guest-appearance blitz will go down as one of the best in his career. After owning the winter with “Look Alive” and “Walk It Talk It,” the summer with “Yes Indeed” and “SICKO MODE,” and the fall with “Never Recover” and “MIA,” Drake still had enough left in the tank to supply his former rival, Meek Mill, with one of his best verses of the year on their reunion collaboration, “Going Bad.”
42. Jamie Foxx — “Fall For Your Type” ft. Drake
Album: Best Night of My Life (2010)Producer: Noah “40” Shebib, Rico Love, & Drake
After spending 2010 singing hooks for A-list rappers like Birdman (“Money to Blow”), Lil Wayne (“With You”), and Rick Ross (“Aston Martin Music”), Drake capped off the year by flexing his versatility alongside an A-list R&B star. On Jamie Foxx’s “Fall For Your Type,” Drake’s closing verse introduced fans to the off-script, sing-song style he’s now known to implement when rapping over R&B beats.
41. Rihanna — “What’s My Name?” ft. Drake
Album: Loud (2010)Producer: StarGate, Kuk Harrell
“Best I Ever Had” and “Find Your Love” may have been the first tracks that showcased Drake’s mainstream popularity, but his guest spot on Rihanna’s No. 1 hit, “What’s My Name,” proved he could be a pop-star in his own right.
40. T.I. — “Poppin Bottles” ft. Drake
Album: No Mercy (2010)Producer: T-Minus, Nikhil Seetharam
On the No Mercy standout, Drake makes up for a lack of lyrics with a devastating flow, cementing his swag-soaked performance as one of the first iconic club bangers of his career.
39. Timbaland — “Know Bout Me” ft. Drake & JAY-Z
Album: Opera Noir (2013)Producer: Timbaland & J-Roc
Timbaland’s “Know Bout Me” could’ve been another stellar collaboration between JAY-Z and Drake. Instead, Jigga merely spoke 16 words on the intro, “We gotta sell these bitches the dream, my n***a. N****s like Walt Disney around this bitch.” Thankfully, Drake made up for his counterpart’s no-show and went in with a double-time delivery on the second verse.
38. The Game — “Good Girls Go Bad” ft. Drake
Album: The R.E.D. Album (2011)Producer: Cool & Dre
Despite being one of the cornier verses in his catalog, you’d be hard pressed to find another Drake guest spot as funny as his appearance on Game’s “Good Girls Go Bad.” The 16-bar verse is filled with hilarious quotables, from the opening lines (“Good evening, I’m in Chicago at the Elysian / With some girls that say they models but ummm, I don’t believe ‘em”) to his use of childhood TV references as pickup lines, to the way in which he tosses aside a former flame in brutally honest fashion.
37. Waka Flocka Flame — “Round of Applause” ft. Drake
Album: Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family (2012)Producer: Lex Luger
Following his sympathetic verse about strippers on The Weeknd’s “The Zone,” Drake pivoted on Waka Flocka’s strip club anthem, “Round of Applause,” delivering the most malicious stripper tribute of his career. Backed by Lex Luger’s pulsating beat, Drizzy leaves his feelings at the door.
36. SBTRKT — “Wildfire (OVO Remix)” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2011)Producer: Jerome
On May 20, 2011, Drake posted a remix of SBTRKT’s “Wildfire” to his OVO blog. The track was quickly erased from our minds, however, when “Dreams Money Can Buy” arrived hours later. Eight years on, you won’t find many people who’re familiar with Drake’s verse on “Wildfire,” let alone aware of its greatness. This lack of recognition, though, is exactly what makes it such a rewarding listen.
35. Nicki Minaj — “Only” ft. Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown
Album: The Pinkprint (2014)Producer: Dr. Luke, Cirkut & JMIKE
Is it the strongest song by Young Money’s three-headed monster? Not a chance. But that doesn’t mean it’s not an entertaining listen, especially Drake’s verse, which is perhaps the funniest guest spot in his discography.
34. YG — “Who Do You Love?” ft. Drake
Album: My Krazy Life (2014)Producer: Mustard
As someone who loves to ride the latest wave, Drake had no choice but to link up with 2014’s hottest rapper-producer duo, YG and Mustard, on the former’s hit single, “Who Do You Love?” After lacing the Bompton rapper with an excellent guest spot, though, Drizzy was forced to settle a dispute with Rappin’ 4-Tay, who called him out for biting his 1994 song, “Playaz Club.”
33. The Weeknd — “Live For” ft. Drake
Album: Kiss Land (2013)Producer: The Weeknd, DaHeala & DannyBoyStyles
Nearly a year after linking up on Thursday standout “The Zone,” Abel and Aubrey joined forces for “Live For,” the fourth single from The Weeknd’s debut studio album, Kiss Land. Released in August 2013, a few weeks before the release of Nothing Was the Same, the sprawling cut found Drake assessing the competition.
32. Fetty Wap — “My Way (Remix)” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2015)Producer: NickEBeats, JayFrance & Micah Street
If you’re still not convinced of the power of the Drake co-sign: With this remix, Fetty became the first rapper to have his first four debut singles chart in the top 10 on the Hot Rap Songs chart simultaneously: "Trap Queen" (No. 2), "My Way" (No. 3), "679" (No. 5), and "Again" (No. 8).
31. DJ Drama — “We in This Bitch 1.5” ft. Drake & Future
Album: Quality Street Music (2012)Producer: Kane Beatz & JMIKE
Occasionally, Drake is capable of stealing a song on the strength of his charisma. DJ Drama’s “We In This Bitch 1.5” is one of those rare instances, as Drizzy needs just one minute to set the tone and hijack the song, with a lively opening sequence.
30. The Weeknd — “The Zone” ft. Drake
Album: Thursday (2011)Producer: Doc McKinney & Illangelo
The first collaboration between The Weeknd and Drake on one of Abel’s projects, “The Zone” lived up to the potential the duo displayed on Take Care standouts “Crew Love” and “The Ride.” “The Zone” sees The Weeknd set the stage for Drake’s big entrance. From there, Drizzy offers up the most gentle verse about a strip club ever laid to wax.
29. Lil Wayne — “It’s Good” ft. Drake & Jadakiss”
Album: Tha Carter IV (2011)Producer: Cool & Dre
This song is remembered for Lil Wayne’s subliminal shot at JAY-Z, but Drake has the best verse on the collab. The Boy’s appearance is a short one, but it hooks you immediately, before it ends with him announcing Wayne’s return home in triumphant fashion.
28. Mary J. Blige — “Mr. Wrong” ft. Drake
Album: My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1) (2011)Producer: Jim Jonsin & Rico Love
It’s easy to forget from 2009 to 2011, Drake was the Best R&B Guest Rapper Alive, scoring features with everyone from legends Mary J. Blige (“The One”), Alicia Keys (“Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)”), and Jamie Foxx (“Digital Girl,” “Fall For Your Type”), to present-day superstars like Chris Brown (“Deuces (Remix)”), Sean Garrett (“Feel Love”), and Trey Songz (“I Invented Sex,” “Unusual”). His second collab with the Queen, “Mr. Wrong,” remains his most underrated R&B feature to date.
27. Fabolous — “Throw It In the Bag (Remix)” ft. Drake & The-Dream
Album: N/A (2009)Producer: Tricky Stewart & The-Dream
Long before he’d declare his intent to give Halle Berry a baby on 2013’s “Versace (Remix),” Drake professed his love for older women on the remix to Fabulous’ 2009 hit single, “Throw It In the Bag.”
26. Travis Scott — “SICKO MODE” ft. Drake & Swae Lee
Album: Astroworld (2018)Producer: Hit-Boy, OZ, Tay Keith, Cubeatz, Chahayed & Mike Dean
If Drake was properly credited, there’s a good chance “SICKO MODE” would rank inside the top 10. Not that it matters much, considering his opening and closing verses are arguably the highlights of the ASTROWORLD standout.
25. Aaliyah — “Enough Said” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2012)Producer: Noah “40” Shebib
In order to appreciate the overlooked greatness of this 2012 loosie, let’s ignore the fact that Drake is listed as the featured artist on an OVO-sanctioned, posthumous Aaliyah single. Backed by 40’s smoky, after-hours R&B production and the late singer’s silky falsetto, Drizzy unleashes one of his classic confessionals.
24. Game — “100” ft. Drake
Album: The Documentary 2 (2015)Producer: Cardo & Juliano
Twenty-six days before Meek Mill would kick-off the biggest rap beef this decade, Drake was already on the defensive. When listening to his verse on “100,” you don’t have to read between the lines. He sounds exhausted while reflecting on his position atop hip-hop, and the incessant threats that come with it. And yet, Drizzy still appears unfazed, too busy making his circle smaller to concern himself with opposing forces on the horizon.
23. A$AP Rocky — “F**kin’ Problems” ft. Drake, Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz
Album: Long.Live.ASAP (2013)Producer: Noah “40” Shebib
Released in October 2012, “Problems” wasn’t just the year’s most star-studded posse cut, but also a changing of the guard moment for hip-hop. At the time, Rocky was two months away from dropping his debut album; 2 Chainz and Kendrick were fresh off releasing theirs. And then, of course, you had Drake, who was just hitting his prime. While it’s debatable which rapper had the best verse, there’s no denying Drizzy came off as the biggest star of the bunch.
22. Lil Reese — “Us (Remix)” ft. Drake & Rick Ross
Album: N/A (2012)Producer: Young Chop
By the fall of 2012, Drake was amidst a flawless streak of guest spots: Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin’,” DJ Drama’s “We In This Bitch 1.5,” Nicki Minaj’s “Champion,” 2 Chainz’s “No Lie,” French Montana’s “Pop That,” Meek Mill’s “Amen,” Aaliyah’s “Enough Said.” As if that wasn’t already one of the greatest runs by a featured rapper, Drizzy made sure to earn more street cred points that October, when he hopped on to the remix to Lil Reese’s “Us”.
21. Birdman — “Money to Blow” ft. Drake & Lil Wayne
Album: Priceless (2009)Producer: Drumma Boy
Fresh off a summer in which he catapulted to superstardom on the back of a handful of hit singles (“Best I Ever Had,” "Successful,” “Forever”), Drake proved he possessed the Midas touch on the fall 2009 anthem, “Money to Blow,” which, of course, is remembered for Lil Wayne’s prophetic line: “We gon’ be alright if we put Drake on every hook.”
20. Tinashe — “2 On (Remix)” ft. Drake & OB O’Brien
Album: N/A (2014)Producer: Mustard, Redwine & DJ Marley Waters
Drake ran the rap game in 2014 solely on the strength of one-off singles. Take a moment and look at this murderer’s row of hits he released between December 2013 and October 2014: “0 to 100/The Catch Up,” “Tuesday,” “Draft Day,” “Trophies,” “Wade Made It,” “Days in the East,” “How Bout Now,” “6 God,” and “Heat of the Moment.” I mean, good God. Perhaps the greatest testament to Drake’s unbelievable run that year is that “2 On/Thotful” is probably the eighth best song in the group.
19. ILOVEMAKONNEN — “Tuesday” ft. Drake
Album: ILoveMakonnen (2014)Producer: Sonny Digital & Metro Boomin
Built around Sonny Digital and Metro Boomin’s syrupy beat and iLoveMakonnen’s Auto-Tune-enhanced vocals, “Tuesday” provided Drake an opportunity to step out of his comfort zone. By delivering perhaps the best vocal performance he’s ever laid to wax, Drake helped “Tuesday” go viral, which in turn, minted Makonnen a star and gave the most boring day of the week new meaning.
18. Kendrick Lamar — “Poetic Justice” ft. Drake
Album: good kid, m.A.A.d city (2012)Producer: Scoop DeVille
The Kendrick Washed Drake on Take Care camp (via his scene-stealing guest spot on “Buried Alive Interlude”) seem to have forgotten that The Boy returned the favor on Kendrick’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.D city. Drake’s appearance on “Poetic Justice” might not jump out at you, but when stacked against either of Kendrick’s verses on the song, it’s obvious who comes out on top.
17. Nicki Minaj — “Moment 4 Life” ft. Drake
Album: Pink Friday (2010)Producer: T-Minus
“This supposed to be y’all year? We ain’t get the memo,” Drake raps on “Moment 4 Life,” a highlight from Nicki Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday. At the time, you couldn’t blame Young Money’s roster for feeling themselves. In the fall of 2010, the label boasted the Best Rapper Alive, Lil Wayne, along with the Rap co-Rookies of the Year, Drizzy and Nicki, both of which released their debuts within five months of one another.
16. Alicia Keys — “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready) (Remix)” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2010)Producer: Alicia Keys, Kenny Brothers Jr. & Noah “40” Shebib
For someone who, in recent years, has been clowned for their immaturity and inability to grow as an artist, it’s easy to forget that there was a time when Drake seemed wise beyond his years. This verse is enough of a reminder, as a 23-year-old Drizzy voices his inner fears about partying too much and not finding the right woman.
15. Lil Wayne — “Believe Me” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2014)Producer: Vinylz & Boi-1da
Five years after Lil Wayne told listeners, on “Money to Blow,” not to worry about Cash Money’s future because the label would be alright as long as they "put Drake on every hook,” Drake continued his mentor’s prophetic claims on “Believe Me.” From the jump, Drizzy assumes the role of host to the welcome-back party, rolling out the red carpet for his Big Homie, with one of his best guest spots this decade.
14. Big Sean — “Blessings” ft. Drake
Album: Dark Sky Paradise (2015)Producer: Vinylz & Allen Ritter
Big Sean dropped “Blessings” on January 30, 2015, exactly two weeks before Drake would surprise-release If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. In hindsight, his verse here gives us a taste of the subject matter he’d visit on IYRTITL: Feuding with YMCMB over unpaid royalties, worrying about his mother, throwing shade at the press, and, of course, repping the 6.
13. Lil Wayne — “Right Above It” ft. Drake
Album: I Am Not a Human Being (2010)Producer: Kane Beatz
If I Am Not a Human Being was Lil’ Wayne’s pre-prison curtain-call, then “Right Above It” was his victory lap. Backed by triumphant production courtesy of Kane Beatz, Drake, the Rap Rookie of the Year, delivered a career-defining guest verse that marks the moment the torch was passed between the Young Money President and his protégé.
12. BlocBoy JB — “Look Alive” ft. Drake
Album: Simi (2018)Producer: Tay Keith
Considering that the best part of Drake’s guest appearance on “Look Alive” is the infectious hook, you could argue that his eight-bar verse doesn’t deserve to be ranked this high. In this case, however, Drake does such an excellent job blending the hook and his first verse together, that you have no choice but to consider them one and the same.
11. 2 Chainz — “Big Amount” ft. Drake
Album: Daniel Son; Necklace Son (2016)Producer: Buddah Bless
On “Big Amount,” Drake raps circles around 2 Chainz without even breaking a sweat. His verse is so effortlessly executed that it’s easy to miss how casually arrogant it actually is. And yet, once his calm, cool and collected delivery wins you over, don’t be surprised if you find yourself admiring each arrogant boast.
10. Meek Mill — “Amen” ft. Drake
Album: Dreamchasers 2 (2012)Producer: Key Wane & Jahlil Beats
Backed by a gospel-clapping, organ-laced piano loop, there’s no denying fans were shocked to hear Meek rap over a beat so far out of his wheelhouse, so effortlessly. In an alternate universe, we might remember “Amen” for Meek’s jubilant hook. Unfortunately for Meek stans, though, The Boy showed up and stole the song while operating on cruise control.
9. 2 Chainz — “No Lie” ft. Drake
Album: Based on a T.R.U. Story (2012)Producer: Mike Will Made It
Fresh off his show-stopping guest spots on Kanye West’s “Mercy” and Nicki Minaj’s “Beez In the Trap,” 2 Chainz entered the summer of 2012 as the hottest feature in hip-hop. Then, in an admirable move in the spirit of competition, Drake reclaimed the title by dusting Tity Boi on the Atlanta rapper’s debut single, “No Lie.” Thanks to his contagious hook and instantly-quotable verse, the banger was inescapable that summer.
8. Rick Ross — “Made Men” ft. Drake
Album: Ashes to Ashes (2010)Producer: 2 Tall Beats
After spending the fall of 2010 handing out guest verses to R&B singers such as Jamie Foxx (“Fall For Your Type”), Tank (“Celebration”), Rihanna (“What’s My Name”), and Trey Songz (“The Usual”), Drake needed to raise his street cred. So, that December, he hopped on one of the hardest beats he’d ever come across, then proceeded to murder the hardest rapper alive, Rick Ross, on his own shit.
7. PARTYNEXTDOOR — “Over Here” ft. Drake
Album: PartyNextDoor (2013)Producer: PartyNextDoor
The most underrated verse of Drake’s career is a victim of circumstance. Released the same day as “Versace (Remix)”—only one of the two or three best guest verses in his catalog—“Over Here” remains criminally overlooked in the canon of Drizzy features. Backed by a murky beat courtesy of PND and 40, Drake’s double time verse makes you feel like you’re sitting shotgun in his Bugatti while he navigates through the streets of Toronto.
6. Future — “Sh!t (Remix)” ft. Drake & Juicy J
Album: N/A (2013)Producer: Mike WiLL Made-It
Released in December 2013, Future’s “Sh!t (Remix)” arrived just three months after Drake released the biggest album of his career, Nothing Was the Same. But rather than celebrating his recent coronation on his first post-NWTS verse, Drake warned the rest of hip-hop that his reign was just beginning. Over Mike WiLL Made-It’s thumping beat, he sounds hungry as ever, yet is well aware of his unchallenged place atop the rap game.
5. DJ Khaled — “I’m On One” ft. Drake, Lil Wayne & Rick Ross
Album: We the Best Forever (2011)Producer: T-Minus, Noah “40” Shebib, & Kromatik
Drake already had a flawless streak of guest spots (from “Money to Blow” and “Say Something” in 2009, to “Made Men” and “Right Above It” the following year), but never had he swiped a song out from under the headlining artist as effortlessly as he did on DJ Khaled’s summer anthem. When Drake wraps up his opening verse around the two-minute mark, the song is already his, completely.
4. Kanye West — “All of the Lights (Remix)” ft. Drake, Lil Wayne & Big Sean
Album: N/A (2011)Producer: Kanye West
In August 2010, an early version of “All of Lights” leaked, featuring Drake rapping over Kanye’s triumphant beat. Three months later, however, Drizzy was noticeably absent from the official version. In interviews, Drake stressed that he was okay with Kanye’s decision; his tone on the unofficial remix, however, argued otherwise. Released in March 2011, Drake’s verse on the “All of the Lights” remix serves as our introduction to the tough guy persona he’d tap into later that year on Take Care.
3. French Montana — “Pop That” ft. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne
Album: Excuse My French (2013)Producer: Lee On the Beats
Fresh off delivering two of the year’s best guest verses, on Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin’” and 2 Chainz’s “No Lie,” Drake laid claim to summer 2012 on French Montana’s banger, “Pop That.” In hindsight, Drizzy’s scene-stealing verse is a perfect snapshot of where he was at in his life at that exact moment.
2. Migos — “Versace (Remix)” ft. Drake
Album: N/A (2013)Producer: Zaytoven
After owning the previous two summers on the strength of stellar guest spots (2011’s “I’m On One” and 2012’s “Pop That”), Drake did it again in 2013, with an earth-shattering guest verse on the remix to Migos’ then-bubbling hit, “Versace.” Six years on, it’s impossible to measure how impactful Drizzy’s verse was, considering it helped catapult the Atlanta trio to superstardom.
1. Rick Ross — “Stay Schemin’” ft. Drake & French Montana
Album: Rich Forever (2012)Producer: The Beat Bully
With no disrespect to DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One,” Drake’s guest verse on Rick Ross’ “Stay Schemin’” is the moment when he snatched the throne for good. By flaming rap vet Common in the opening bars, The Boy proved that he was about that action. If it’s not the best guest verse of his career, it’s surely the most important.
