[Album + Video] The Heavy Heavy kündigen Debütalbum "One of a Kind" an!
“A lot of our EP was very bright and pretty, so we wanted to smash the door down like we do in the live show”, erzählt Turner. “Because we were creating an entire album, there was so much more space to explore and expand”, ergänzt Fuller.
“We felt we needed a song that had that summery, flowery feel of the EP, and somehow at the last minute we were able to pull magic out of thin air.”
Tracklist "One of a Kind": 01. One of a Kind 02. Happiness 03. Because You’re Mine 04. Miracle Sun 05. Feel 06. Wild Emotion 07. Everything 08. Cherry 09. Lemonade 10. Dirt 11. Lovestruck 12. Salina

Dehd Releases New Single 'Dog Days' from Upcoming Album 'Poetry' - Tour Dates Announced!
Just before launching their new album, Poetry, Dehd has released the lead single "Dog Days," which made its debut today on Zane Lowe's Apple Radio show. Rolling Stone highlighted this track as an "exhilarating opener" in a recent in-depth profile on the band, noting its captivating chorus that makes you want to grab your friends and shout along. The release of "Dog Days" is complemented by a music video, directed by the band's regular collaborator Glam Hag. The video features an intricate one-shot sequence in a vintage Honky Tonk bar, brilliantly reflecting the artistic vision of frontman Jason Balla for the song. Jason Balla shared his thoughts on the single, describing "Dog Days" as a tribute to life's chaos and the quest for companionship. He explained, "It’s about embracing vulnerability, experiencing rejection, and the complex dance of human relationships. This song is for those navigating the tumultuous journey of love, making mistakes, and living passionately. It's an anthem for those riding the same emotional rollercoaster." Following the album's release, Dehd will embark on a busy schedule, including a major North American festival run, appearances at radio shows during the summer, and a nine-city headline tour across Europe. They will then return to North America for an extensive tour, featuring a notable performance at Brooklyn Steel in New York City and wrapping up with two nights at Thalia Hall in Chicago. Tickets can be purchased at dehd.horse. You can listen to "Dog Days" now. Below, find more details about the tour and the album, and keep an eye out for more updates from Dehd. Hero of Numbani new canon brands, products, tech, concepts, etc.
*SPOILERS FOR The Hero of Numbani AHEAD*
This list does not include Yoruba or Afro-Brazilian food/clothing/cultural concepts, which probably deserve their own list.
344X-Azúcar - A wireless signal used by Sombra.
3-D Puzzle: Horizon Lunar Colony - Efi and her cousin Bisi spent 400 hours putting this together.
Alatise Parkway - Street in the Numbani Arts District where a gray market auction house can be found.
Bankolé’s Grocery - A neighborhood grocery store.
Bello tower - Tower where Efi’s cousin Dayo lives.
Bisi’s laptop - An extremely high-end laptop that Bisi tries to gift to Efi. Capable of 3D holoprojection. Can crush logic exercises that cause “the most advanced omnics” to struggle in seconds.
Blanchet771 - A literary icon beloved by Efi’s father.
Breaking Circuits trilogy - A Flash Brighton movie trilogy where Flash is a human pretending to be an omnic pretending to be a human.
Carnival Calabar - Real-life Nigerian festival that occurs December 1-31. Efi mentions that Unity Day rivals Carnival Calabar in size.
Chinua Achebe - Real-life Nigerian novelist (1930-2013). A literary icon beloved by Efi’s father.
Compass Point Insurance - An insurance company used by Efi’s family.
Court-appointed cybernetic surgeon - Employed by world governing organizations for removing cybernetic implants from war criminals. One such surgeon removed most of Doomfist’s implants after his trial, a procedure apparently broadcast out to the whole world.
CraftLife 5000 - Premium power tools including a hard-light screwdriver.
Cybernetic brain upgrades - According to Efi, Sojourn has these upgrades, which consist of “bionic neurons” injected into the brain
Cyborg African wild dogs - These are things that exist. Efi encounters two dogs with spinal implants and flickers of green light in their eyes.
Dagger Sect - Enemy agents in the Breaking Circuits movie trilogy
Declaration of Unity - A declaration read and signed by Gabrielle Adawe during the founding of Numbani.
Delivery drone - Used to deliver things. Some are powerful enough to carry an 11-year-old.
efi_was_here_v3-39x.aipm - The name of Orisa’s personality matrix.
eNaira - Electronic Nigerian currency.
FacePunch - Site where Efi finds a lot of jokes and memes, such as Marley the Dancing Coconut.
Fadeout/Fading out - An omnic condition induced by a malicious code that self-replicates and overwrites the omnic’s native functions one-by-one. The name comes from the lights on an omnic’s head fading out when it is affected by this condition. Omnics experience severe program malfunctions during fadeout. For example, an omnic forklift operator might keep driving the forklift into a wall over and over again, or an omnic artist might destroy her own work. Fadeout also causes an omnic’s private wireless port to become publicly accessible, and if the malicious code is allowed to operate for long enough the omnic can lose all original programming and memory. Fadeouts were induced in Numbani by Sombra for a time after Doomfist’s attack on the airport. Because fadeout causes omnics’ wireless ports to become publicly accessible, an “antidote” code can be administered to one omnic and will be automatically distributed to all other affected omnics in the area.
Flash Brighton - An action movie character with numerous franchise films such as...
Flash Brighton and the Omnic Crusaders: Forty-Four Hours Till Midnight - Movie where Flash Brighton abandons werewolf pups to go looking for his brother’s assassin with a time machine.
Flash Brighton and the Omnic Crusaders: The Duel to Infinity - Movie starring Kam Kalu, Thespion 4.0, and A.I. Schylus, among others.
Flexxon Pro Micro T1 reactor - Alternative to the miniature Tobelstein reactor. Cannot maintain a graviton charge for more than a few seconds.
Free Thinkers - A website where Efi gets most of the open source code for her robots.
Harmony Key - A symbolic key presented by Gabrielle Adawe to the leader of the Numbani Omnic Union during the founding of Numbani.
HollaGram (or Hollagram) - Social media service where users can make multimedia posts and other users can award likes, claps, or shares and leave comments.
International Baccalaureate - A real-life instructional programming standard based out of Geneva, Switzerland. Efi is taking senior-high level IB instruction in calculus and physics at age 11.
Ipanema - Real-life neighborhood in Rio. Efi planned to take surf lessons here, and Lúcio’s studio is here.
Junker reactor - A graviton reactor purchased by Orisa when a miniature Tobelstein reactor cannot be found. Cobbled together from mismatched parts, with some graffiti on the side. Efi notes that it is probably irradiated and likely to blow up in Orisa’s face.
Junie (Junior Assistant) - A robot stand-in for social and professional situations, capable of broadcasting holograms of people and recording video/audio with a 360-degree camera. Hologram features can be upgraded with hardlight conversion kits. Invented by Efi Oladele. Holograms produced by Junies are referred to as [name-of-the-person-being-shown]-Junior. For example, Naade-Junior for a hologram of Efi’s friend Naade.
Lagos - The largest real-life city in Nigeria, on the coast.
Maxwell Interpreter - Part of Efi’s robot creation kit. Used for creating simulations by autosorting “eight billion permutations into virtual hash matrices.”
Modulated Biochemical Currency (MBC) - DNA-coded cryptocurrency used on the dark web. About the size of a sand dollar, they wiggle in your hand and contain synthetic blood with unique biological codes in it. Also known as bio gold, wiggle notes, glam clams, scritch scratch...
Nollywood - Real-life slang for the Nigerian film industry
Numbani civic codes - For example, Code 34-342b - Driving a vehicle with an expired registration. Code 92-574j - Pedestrian cross-traffic. Etc.
Numbani Civic Defense Department - Numbani government security forces/police.
Numbani Credit Union - A credit union. Efi stores her grant money here.

Numbani Omnic Union - An omnic representative organization present during the founding of Numbani. The leader was presented the Harmony Key by Gabrielle Adawe.
OmnicCon - A con in Numbani with a costuming contest.
OmniWorx - Company that produces synthetic greases in designer tins with different scents like mint and citrus. The product is used by omnics as an indulgence, such as on Unity Day in Numbani. Efi buys OmniWorx tins for her omnic friends.
OR15 auction - An auction that took place after the defeat of the OR15s by Doomfist at Numbani airport. The Numbani Civic Defense Department sold off decommissioned OR15s in lots of 10 that cost around 20 million naira. Bidders were not informed of the OR15′s defeat at Doomfist’s hands.
Overwatch cartoons - Cartoons Efi describes as “old” that are based on the lives of real Overwatch members like Sojourn.
Overwatch coin bank - Owned by Efi. Features Reinhardt protecting the bank with his rocket hammer.
Overwatch pajamas - Efi owns a pair of these.
Paper notes - Used to avoid digital filters at Efi’s school.
Peace Park - A park in Numbani which had a statue of Gabrielle Adawe. The statue ended up being destroyed by Doomfist.
Precision Core reactor - Alternative to the miniature Tobelstein reactor. Unit is the size of a car.
Rapid-X heliotherapy - A type of therapy that heals broken bones in the span of a few days.
Sky Postal - Delivery company that uses drones. Capable of executing Lightning-Priority deliveries.
Steppe Wanderer - A model of car.
Super Fun Family Time - A “game” Efi’s parents taught her where they hide in the interior bathroom of their flat whenever the warning sirens go off indicating a Doomfist attack.
Tiawo Boulevard - Street in Numbani that intersects Heritage Avenue
Tin Can Island Port - Port where Numbani omnics held a dockworkers’ revolt several years back.
Tonal Abyss - Omnic pop band with 38 members. Broke up at one point due to disagreements about which quantum clock standard to use as a time measure for their music. Reunited at Lúcio’s concert in Numbani.
University of Ibadan, University of Lagos - Real-life Nigerian universities that Efi’s cousin Dayo received acceptances from in the story.
Valor Matrix distributed computing project - Project that rewards loans of processing power with currency.
Version 3.44 VAvmpCompiler - Part of Efi’s robot creation kit. An alternative to a dedicated Maxwell Interpreter box.
Virtual Physician protocol - Downloadable physician protocol accessible to any robot or omnic.
Yankari National Park - Largest national park in Nigeria.
Yoku Voyager - A low-end car model with weak levrims.
Zobo Bot - Robot that makes juice drinks at Efi’s school. Known to be ornery.

Bang Gang
SGC go wild in the city with KRIS NEEDS
IT’S NUMBER ONE! It’s ‘Top Of The Pops’!
Peter Powell: “M[?] great! And now for this week’s number one. It’s ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’ and here’s Boy George and… Sex-Gang Children!”
(Choke, Splutter).
Well, if ‘Top Of The Pops’ was the electrifying weekly hotpot it should be, we’d see SGC cavorting before our eyes with “In To The Abyss,” but as it stands this is just a fantasy. This little scene is just my imagination of what could’ve been.
For when Culture Club’s name was plucked from the Malcolm McLaren [illegible] list of Good Group Names, George’s lads nearly got the afore mentioned striking title, but mass popularity beckoned and it got thrown to a formative little outfit called Panic Button.
“We were called Panic Button for over a year,” recalled [illegible] haired singer Andi, “but there was actually no band, just a name. Then we started a new band with a new sound and just needed a new name. The final touch to an idea.”
Bassist Dave Roberts continues: “McLaren was going to call Culture Club Sex Gang, but they decided not to as they moved up in the charts. It was a long decision for us, took four months to decide.”
Cos they knew there’d be trouble with a name like Sex-Gang Children.
Terry McLeay:”’Sex’ and ‘children’ is fatal. We can’t play a lot of town halls.”
Andi: “There are small provincial towns where the council have a hand in promoting gigs. They say ‘we don’t want a band with a name like that.’ Something to do with Satan. But that’s good because there’s no threat with a lot of bands now.”
Dave: “We were going to do a 18-date tour but now it’s down to 15.”
Terry: “It’s good having a name like that because immediately it lets people know where you’re coming from. It puts people on the spot.”
Andi: “It took us time to come to terms with it. Afterwards we felt proud and thought ‘we’ll do it.’ It’s a strong name and a strong band in the sense of ideas. I thought the others would be against it but they went ‘yes, why not?’”
Good name though innit? Good band too, up there with Southern Death Cult and Ritual as no-messing warrior-stance post-punks with words like “pride” and [illegible] peppering the conversation.
They see themselves as the antidote to retro-punk tunnel vision.
Andi: the vociferous front man, whose ghostly makeup and wild stage antics are matched with equally no-holds-barred conversation.
“There’s nothing wrong with looking good. Punk became stereotyped, like dirty hippies. There’s nothing wrong with feeling proud of your clothes and the way you look. It’s our sense of pride.”
‘Course there in the old problem of going into the [illegible] wearing a polo-neck [illegible] jumper and having non-flat hair, but once they said the earth is flat. Same goes for hair, I say.
Terry: “You get catcalls. You go into the pub and they laugh and you say sorry they can’t serve you. You get shouted at in the street but if you stick up for yourself it’s different. They’re just jealous.”
Andi: “You’ve got to do it. If you want to look a certain way, why should you deny it? It’s not something we thought about. It’s just happened. We’ll change when we want to change. There are a lot of boundaries in punk. We don’t set ourselves in that trap at all.”
Terry: “We use different images to make a long-lasting impression. We’re influenced by everything-- the way society is sliding into a big pit. maybe we’re a product of that.”
Andi: “We’re not making prophecies about what’s going to happen because it’s a mistake to preach to people. Just be yourself is what we’re saying.”
BINGO
In their case this means erupting hair, paint and colour. There’s a fan called Bingo, who occasionally leaps onstage and dances. Sometimes he spouts flame and at last year’s Futurama Festival donned a bizarre skeleton suit.
Andi: “I was totally amazed! He just jumped up in a skeleton costume.”
Terry: “I Brighton it was ridiculous. There were balls of flame. He’s mental, really good though. The audience really loved that sense of danger.”
Rob (drums): “That’s the good thing about Bingo. He goes and dances in the crowd.”
Andi: “At the Lyceum it was great, all these bouncers with fire extinguishers, testing them out before we went onstage to see if they worked. That was incredible. Total panic situation.”
There seems to be an air of much-unbridled berserkness surrounding the Sex-Gang clan.
Andi: “Well, that’s something that’s been lacking for a long time. It’s like a release of tension, or sheer fun, or excitement. People don’t go about acting cool or posing. They just go there and sweat it out. It’s like they get something out of their systems, like a total orgasm. They walk out afterwards with elated faces. It’s like a ritual really.
“I’ve been going to gigs for years watching people just standing there clapping because they think they have to. It’s an honest reaction with us. We’ve never tried to get the crowd going in a false way.
Terry: “You see people standing in the fringes of what’s going on and a couple of weeks later they’re at the front going mental.”
Andi: “Punks in leather who look like they’re into OBH really got into it. Next time they turn up wearing makeup.”
Maggots
What effect will they have when they invade America after the coming UK bash?
“We’re going to be the strongest catalyst to play there since the Pistols!” Andi snickers confidently.
“I’d love to play Texas amidst all the country-men and bigots and rednecks. We’re probably the sort of band that would get shot at. They shoot you. They shoot you! But there again, it’s good to be a threat like that, to bring out that moronicism because the person can’t handle the way you look.
“America stinks. It’s like a big apple pie with maggots in it. But I think it’s going to be very good experience-wise.”
So! What does a Sex-Gang child do for relaxations after all this trail-blazing?
Terry: “We don’t have fun {moment’s pause}. Screw.”
Andi, who does carry a semi-grin when he’s saying a lot of these intense things: “We don’t go home and switch off and have hobbies, like politicians have their private decadent lives. We get total fulfillment and satisfaction doing what we do.”
“Life’s too short to not do what you want to do and make concessions. They’re not going to swallow us up. They’d spew us back out again.”
Terry: “We’d stick in their throat. An indigestible lump.”
Actually, Peter Powell secretly admits to liking them. But that same on Simon Bates?
Andi: “Let’s put it this way. We refuse to be swept under the carpet.”

FMLS90 Week 12 Christmas Catch-Up: Day 1,2, 3 & 4
12/23 - Share either your favorite or least favorite memory of 2019. If you would like, feel free and do both.
Least favourite- when I realised how much my mum had toned down her car accident, and I saw the pictures that showed the doors of the car completely smashed in. Nothing like a terrible accident to really shake you up.
Favourite- Green Man festival 2019!! Always my favourite time of year, this was my fifth year in a row and I did the best things- drinking local cider in the black mountains, hanging out with my incredible best friend and seeing incredible bands. Topped off with sprinting from one side of the festival from Marika Hackman to dancing in the rain to Whitney. 🌦🌈
12/24- Share a picture and or story from the beginning of the year and one now. Talk about what has changed over that time.
January 3rd 2019- Day tripping to Brighton with my best friend, throwing rocks in the sea and making wishes. Super soppy and a great memory!! It was so cold and refreshing, I’ve always lived far from the sea so I feel so energised by finally seeing the ocean when I travel. Warning: Incredibly cheesy photo.
December 25th 2019- Enjoying the beautiful new earrings from my sweet parents. Spending much much more time with family to make up for how distant my last year of undergrad made me. Experiencing a wild rollercoaster of mental health and body image issues, physically stronger but also heavier and fatter than ever before. I’ve done some amazing things this year, but I’m in a place where the stakes feel higher than ever and it feels nearly impossible to feel consistent or confident.
12/25 - What did you learn in 2019? How can you apply that in the future?
I learned to trust my instincts, follow through on my ideas, and take any opportunity to adapt to make it easier to do the things that I love or that make my life better. Also, to lean into my spontaneous nature and become more comfortable with reaching out to friends, turns out when you suddenly don’t live in the same city as your friends you have to make plans and use phones to talk to each other, and loads of people, including me, are really bad at that. Also, applying to jobs sucks SO much and not getting an answer at all is even worse than a solid rejection.
12/26 - How did your friendships and relationships change in 2019? Are you satisfied with this? What do you want to do to improve your most important relationships in 2020?
I got much better at communicating in 2019, although I still need to work on finding ways to express things to my family because I’m still a bit disconnected. My best friendships are still going strong, and I’ve managed to reconnect with some excellent people. Times are tough for most of my friends, which is both incredibly difficult to navigate and also a great thing to bond over. In 2020 I want to give more energy to the people I love, and try to work on being more patient and understanding, even if I can see someone else’s logic at first because it takes time for many people to understand and express their own feelings.

TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Paténipat; Cursed And Cussed; High Lights
2. Stella Donnelly
TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Old Man; Boys Will Be Boys; Lunch
3. Tierra Whack

TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Jealousy; I Was A Window; Pacify My Heart
5. Little Simz
Insomma, Little Simz ha davvero tutto.

TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Offence; Sherbet Sunset; Picture Perfect
6. Weyes Blood
TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Andromeda; Mirror Forever; Do You Need My Love
8. Celeste

TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Lately; Both Sides Of The Moon; Summer
7. Billie Eilish
TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: idontwannabeyouanymore; when the party’s over; bad guy
9. Julia Jacklin
youtube
TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: Body; Pressure To Party; Head Alone
TRACCE CONSIGLIATE: MALAMENTE; PIENSO EN TU MIRA; BAGDAD
