Drew a bunch of Marinettes in a bunch of different artists styles it was a lot of fun!!

#my art#marinette dupain cheng#miraculous ladybug#miraculous fanart#style mimic#sorry for the @s btw#yall should go follow those artists if you dont already also#this was sort of inspired by a post the three artists on the top row made#i think they all got together and drew with one another#which is really cool#but i was genuinely confused because i mimic styles a lot#and ive seen others do it too so i was just like#wow they really know each others styles really well#until i thought about it and read their posts some more#style mimicking is really freaking fun and i think its really good practice#and a good way to explore other ways of doing things#like you really have to learn new techniques and get out of your comfort zone#also anna scribbles i could not find a recent pic of marinette in her main outfit#so thats the only marinette i drew in different clothes cuz i couldnt find a more recent ref of you drawing it#anna scribble marinette has privileges thats the others dont#but ye#i also threw my own style in there as a frame of reference to what me draw like#ive drawn marinette before just not in a loooong while#sabertooth walrus was the hardest for me to mimic cuz they have a broad range in their style#so its like which sabertooth do i wanna be in this pic#Buggachat has such a distinct style thats very clean and consistent which is amazing so they were easy#being easy or hard arent bad things either it also has to do with like styles meeting up with one another#buggachats and mine arent too too different in some shapes and aspects#so yeah itd be easier plus they drew marinette like 3 sec ago so i have more recent of a ref#as opposed to sabertooth who i have a recent ref of ladybug but not marinette so we got two diff styles in one

one thing that i really want to hone in on is how a lot of the interactions we get with sylus that venture beyond linkon/the n109 zone are often centered around indigenous/native and southeast asian cultures. as someone who identifies as both, i was actually surprised to see it present in both lost oasis + grassland romance. part of me feels like it ties back to his own background of some sort. (or if not, i love that hes just a culturally appreciative king lol)
but what stuck out to me a lot about grassland romance is how similar the designs of the tala tribe clothes for both sylus and mc are to traditional hmong clothing. very heavy on patterns, accessories, and headpieces. (despite not seeing much except for the one for mc)
obviously theyre very different, but the heaviness of textiles and patterns and the bead work in itself is just... so beautiful. idk i just wanted to show love to this and point it out <333

made a list, help me make it bigger.
Anyone remembers any movies where stereotypical accountants or bank tellers wear these visors? Extra points if those movies are westerns. Because thats why I started this list. I had it in my head that clerks with this kind of a visor are EXTREMELY REOCURRING CHARACTERS in western or gangster movies... but when I wanted to remember the movies I just couldnt. (so I went looking and ended up adding even those where the characters arent background clerks per se..viz The Mask n Hunter S. Thompson)

speaking as a white passing person who is not black but is native and trans and autistic, I think iDubbbz’ apology was actually really good.
He didn’t try to excuse anything, he apologised not because he was getting called out nowadays but because he just felt the need to get that off his chest and properly apologise for the harm he did, what he is planning on doing with the video and making the Content Cop videos unlisted is responsible and shows growth, and it seems like he genuinely expresses regret for what he definitely contributed to
As an autistic trans person, I forgive him, but I cannot speak for the black people his videos have definitely harmed

Oh so this is the story where Horus kills Set and the drags his corpse around.
#I was a little worried that this Horus who gets to kill Set would be Horus the Great and not Horus the son of Isis#Cause Horus the Great/Elder is mainly the Horus this story is about#And if anyone deserves to kill Set it’s Horus the son of Isis okay#Set does so many crimes and murder attempts in Contendings and the Ennead just doesn’t care#But then Horus tries to kill him and they’re like ‘noooo Horus murder is bad don’t kill him’#It’s such a double standard :’(#But no Horus the son of Isis gets to kill him#Also Isis fights Set with her son at one point#Which is really cool#They kill him a lot actually#Like it keeps saying they killed Set and stabbed him and speared him and decapitated him but he keeps coming back?#I guess he got better#Like Mot did in the Baal cycle#Ava has thoughts#ancient egypt stuff#Heru#Heru sa aset
