Niquel: Heatwave?! Heatwaaave!!

Purpurine: Grand? Where are you?

Orchid: why does Grand likes to dissapear like that?

Straw: Once professor Chase told me adults like to dissapear sometimes when they get overwhelmed, maybe is that!

Kiry: GUYS! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

The energetic sparkling called his friends to come as they did

Niquel: what did you found?

Niquel, exceptic, got closer

Purpurine: is Grand?

The young femme with white freckles and purple optics asked. Kiry showed them a frog...

Straw: AAAAHHHHHH!!

Orchid: LET GO THAT!!

Niquel: Is just a frog!

Purpurine: what a pair of cry-sparklings you are!

Straw was a funny child, they like ghost stories, the Black Hole Magician is one of their favorite legends, same the battles said being fought against the White Knight, yet they stepped back when they looked at the frog, Orchid wasn't, clearly Orchid didn't liked ghost stories but it was just a frog! Kiry was confused

Kiry: but, it is cute! Why don't you like it-?

Heatwave: Is everyone okay?!

Heatwave appeared from behind the group, worried and going as fast as his cane could let him

Kiry: Grand! We were searching for you! Look what I found!

Niquel: Are you okay, Heatwave?

Orchid: TELL KIRY TO THROW IT!

Kiry: But it is cute! It has big big black eyes, and when light hits them it's like watching polished ebony, like the medallion on the door frame of the library!

Heatwave: Ah... Kiry, that is a venenous frog

Kiry: It is not!

Heatwave: It is, do you remember when I told you there are frogs who look venenous so animals don't eat them and frogs that are venonous? That one from the second group

Kiry: oh... what do I do?

Heatwave: just let it where you found it and we'll go back to the town and you'll wash yourself, but don't touch anything organic until that

Orchid: I told you to let it there!

Heatwave: There's no reason to yell like that. Let's get back to town

Boulder: aw. They grow up so fast, I still remember when they brought their first squirrel

Heatwave: yeah, they ended up with half of their faceplate with claw marks

Boulder: they were almost unnoticeable

Heatwave: Barely… sometimes Kiry reminds me a lot of someone, you know?

Boulder: who?

Heatwave: eh?

Heatwave looked behind, two seats away from him were another five bots, also tied up, but one specifically, of silver, blue and white frame was calling his attention, pointing with its faceplate a bag, it had the same colors as the bot, that was when Heatwave noticed the people tied to that bot also had similar colors, maybe they were all spark-bonded. Heatwave looked at his sides, making sure nobody was watching him and moved his pede towards the bag, trying to reach it, but it was too far, until Soundwave, who was directly at his side and was taller, figured out what Heatwave tried to do, and out of ideas, Soundwave did the same, reaching the bag, passing it to Heatwave’s pede as he pushed it, dragging and reaching the silver and blue bot, but instead of looking inside, the bot turned it around, only with its pedes, there was a small, almost invisible compartment in the bag, then, the bot opened it only with its dentae while keeping the bag on its place with its legs, something sharp was hidden there, and he passed it, still on his mouth, to behind him, to then put its attention on dragging with its pedes the bag back on its place, Heatwave looked at a taller bot at its side was who had the knife, based on its movements, easily, both bots were free, but keept together if someone came, and to protect the other three who were barely cutting the rope

?: what’s your name?

Heatwave: Call me Heat, these are my siblings

?: Heat, I’ll need you to be very silent and quiet, we will get you free in any moment, and based on the type of luggage you have, I suppose you can help me. We need to stop this train in the next station but for that we need to put array that people

Heat: what do you need for that?

?: you, and if your siblings know how to fight they can help us too

??: I’m over

?: what do you say?

Heat: count on me

Light: don’t mind me but this bot doesn’t know how to fight for real

Heat: But I can help!

Another shot and screams were heard on another wagon, the tiny bot at the silver and blue guy’s side was trembling, trying to cut the rope alone but in its face there was pure horror

??: is okay, Tidy, you can do it

Tidy: no I can’t- I’m scared

?!: just a little more, honey

?: can you help me with that

Heat: …I’ll do it

Sound: again?

Heatwave and the bot looked at all their sides, making sure nobody would hear them and prepared themselves. After what felt like an eternity, the last bot, at the blue and white bot’s other side, tinier but of big width, finally got its servos free, then, the blue and white bot made sure nobody outside the wagon was looking at him and moved fast, of one silent jump and went directly to the Wave’s servos, releasing them easy and fast

Heat: thanks

?: my family will protect this side of the wagon but we have to go to the end of the train, passing the cattle and the goods’ wagons, then, we’ll contact the next station and ask for help. Got it?

Heat: all clear

?: fine, my mentor’s and older brother will stay here, my sister and I will go, who’s with you and who’s staying?

Light: I’m going, Radio, Shock and Sound will stay

Shockwave: I know how to use telegraphs and phones, even to fix them, I can go with you!

Light: are you sure?

?: In that case. Let’s go

Under the seats where that family sat before the attack were hided a pair of bags, the taller mentor and the youngest, Tidy, searched on those bags- those were guns?! On one bag were guns and on the other gun supplies, both were tiny, like pocket sized, but yet none of the Wave’s expected that detail

?: do you know how to use them?

Light: we’re more of sharp weapons…

?: is kind of easy, take it with both servos, always on the ground unless you want to shoot something, you recharge here and this is for shooting, got it?

Heat: something

?: hm…

Tidy: take this, just in case

The youngest offered pocket knives and a large dagger, Heatwave took the dagger and saved it near his leg, Light and Shock took the tiny ones

Heat: thanks. But there’s a way we can search in the other wagon for my sword?

??: too many people, and they also have our big weapons, bad idea, let’s search first for help

With it, the five bots went on their way as the rest stayed behind to protect or distract in any case someone came to that part of the wagon

They had to pass at least five more wagons

The first one was easy, they knocked the door of it for the only person there to open it, so, the bad guy would be closer, the blue bot immediately grab them by the neck and neutralize them, knocking them with force, fortunately it was the only one bad guy on the wagon because only two bots were there, after checking on them they asked to keep an optic on that guy and went through

The second wagon was a goods wagon, for some reason there was no one there, fortunately, the third wagon also had no criminal there

The fourth one was a cattle wagon, Persephone was there but when she heard the door she almost became crazy, making other two bulls there become confused

Heat: hey hey hey! Persi, is okay! Is just me!

Light: oh, Persephone, you’re alright! How’s my strong girl, eh?

Shock: Persiiiii!

Tidy: do you have a bull with you?

Shock: yes, name’s Persephone, Persephone, they are… ah

?: her name is Tidy, my name is Chase. But we shouldn’t stay much longer her

Heat: you’re right. We’ll see you later, girl, okay?

Shock: behave

Shock gave her a smooch and the five bots went again on their mission, the fifth wagon, it was also a cattle wagon but it wasn’t common to transport cattle on trains because trains are expensive, and because is cattle, maybe nobody was there-

Bad guy: HEY! LOWER YOUR GUN AND STAY THERE!

That wasn’t what anybody expected when Chase opened the door, the cattle wagon was full, not of cattle but of people, and there were like seven or eight, no, twelve weird guys with weapons, all keeping the people on their knees

Bad guy: I TOLD YOU TO LOW THE GUN! LOW IT NOW!

Heatwave, Tidy, Shockwave and Lightwave were still on the sides of the door, unnoticed, but Chase got the worst part, he had to lower the gun to the ground and put his servos on air like if he was the one in trouble

Bad guy: just like that, now come here

Chase was about to run back when another bot took him by the back of his neck, nailing sharp fingers on him

Bot with optic-patch: such pretty colors, you’re not from this part of the world, aren’t you?

Bossy bot: cut with that and put it with the rest!

Leader: no no, this one cost more,

The one with the biggest gun and the loudest voice came over, moving its servos by command to then take Chase’s faceplate with one servo, like handling a cup, definitely the one who was in charge of this wagon

Leader: look at these optics! Oh, and this jaw! This is not an adopted, this one is an ordered sparkling!

Bossy bot: this is not a sparkling, is far too big for it to be

Leader: no, it is! Just about to be full-grown but yet young, how much? 16? 17 decades?

But Chase didn’t said anything, only tried to take his faceplate out of the bot’s servo

Leader: what an attitude, and your frame is really pretty, what a pity

Young bot: it can still be a good trophy!

Old bot: nah, they’re better paid when they’re intact and obey

Was this people crazy?! They weren’t really treating Chase like if he was just cattle! Not even cattle deserved to be treated like that, not even bugs! And the rest… if they treated Chase like that, what were they doing with the people there? All scared and piled up to protect each other… no, Heatwave needed to do something but what? Shockwave was hugging Tidy to calm her, it was evident her vents started to expand way too much and contract even worse, she looked like about to explode, Light couldn’t see much compared to Heatwave but based on what she heard she tried to make a plan on her head, but there was no time for plans! Heatwave got his gun on place as Chase taught him earlier and positioned himself to shot, specifically the optic-patched bot, who was the one who restrained Chase’s mobility, Light shook his shoulder to call his attention but he managed to have it on the look, aligned, he never had a gun in his life but had it steady with both servos, a perfect shot, even Primus knew that…

But Heatwave’s finger couldn’t press the trigger, he wasn’t shaking, he wasn’t scared, he had all to win, but he was unsure, confused, like the time he had the shadow on his hand and yet doubted, he was doubting again but why?! Why he couldn’t just press the trigger, not even for a friend?!

Light: Heatwave?

Heat: I can't...

Bossy bot: what's that?!

Holy shit- they saw them!

Leader: GET THEM!

Some bots went out of their positions to get the four bots out of the wagon, Shockwave and Tidy, out of desesperation, took the ladder at the side of the wagon, while Heatwave and Lightwave tried to fight to distract them, fortunately both were really strong but it wasn't enough, not even with Chase successfully freeing himself out of the grab. The three of them shot and fought as could, even Lightwave used her knife to defend herself but everything was so quick and all was pure chaos in the cold wagon, for some reason none the three of them were capable of doing real harm

Wait, cold?! It was metal wagon and mid-day! How?!

There was a moment Heatwave saw pipes at the roof, Heatwave knew for what it was, maybe it was useful

Heat: LIGHT, CHASE, DOWN!

Heatwave didn't even thought, he saw the pipes and knew what to do, he took the gun that couldn't use before, pressed the trigger and let all the cold air of the pipes to strike on whoever who was on its pedes, the cold made the thieves literally freeze, like living statues, but thanks to it, they could open the doors with care and let everyone in the wagon get out, despite it was dangerous, all prefered to jump out of it rather than stay or go to another wagon, the free trip wasn't worthy anymore, on the other servo, Light, Heat and Chase finally could get into the communications wagon, both phone and telegraph were there and Shockwave already fixed the cut lines of the telegraph, fixing now the ones of the phone as Tidy was sending the message through the telegraph to the next station

Finally they got where they needed to

Heat: Am, excuse me, gentlebots. I don't want to disturb but if I'm not bad, THAT light-magical sword is mine, so, if you don't mind-

Wagon Leader: Where are they then?! What? Dead already?!

Wondered thief: WOW! GUYS, LOOK AT THIS SWORD, IT LITERALLY SHINES!

Wagon Leader: PUT THAT WHERE IT WAS! IF YOU BROKE IT OR STEAL IT I'LL MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE!

Wagon Leader: PUT THE GUN ON THE FLOOR NOW!

Heat: wo! There's no need to aim at me that way, but you'll see, I'm regional aim champion

Heatwave aimed fast at a pile of things the thieves had, between them, smoke bombs Chase could recognize at the distance, and many bombs and closed windows are a LOT of smoke

The criminals were completely distracted now, which let Chase's family and the Wave's free time and all they needed to finally put everyone in place and order, of cours, with some blind kicks there and there...

Heat: WHO WANTS A BURN SLICE?!

Light: IF YOU CUT ANYONE WITH THAT SWORD, YOU'LL PAY FOR IT!

Heat: Sorry

Chase: yes, I was directing to the capital for my inscription at the Royal Rescue Academy, this is my last family trip for the moment, and I expect to do similar things in the future

Chase: what we did was dangerous and we weren't qualified for that, that's why I'm going, I also expect things would be different if we had better training

That shadow looking at the now burning train didn’t cared about anyone there who lost their money and their trips but about ONE bot, the shadow needed to get to some special places before the capital and couldn’t let out of view that sword, it was still important for it…

It was a cold night in new york the sky was cloudy. Winter was coming soon but under the clouded sky, was raph on patrol watching the streets for any suspicious activity. it‘s was 9:40am in 3 hours and 20 minutes it was going to be Exactly 2 years since the krang invasion happened He was complicating whether or not he should continue on patrol since no one on that day really left their homes except to mourn lost ones and to visit their graves. Checking the alleys to the rooftops he was tired he was on the rooftops checking the streets from up high he decided to Head back home since there was no activity at all and to be there with his family during that day. He pressed a button on his watch

“Donnie come in Donnie come in I know your awake” “Hello my dear brother what can I do for you” “I just wanted to know if You guys wanted some pizza” “Yes Of course how can we turn down perfectly good pizza” “Ok then see you at that home” “You got the money right” “Yup” “ ill send you some more just in case, see how you're terrible at keeping money safe” “Ok ok, long should I wait for the money” “Any moment noooowwww then”

And just like that a blue portal opened up in the sky he opened up my hand and then came the money.

He sat on the rooftop edge looking at the people going on with their night you can still see the destruction caused by the krang. Something else happened that day people started recognizing us as heroes the “unknown hero of new york” or “the one at wore orange red purple and blue ” Ever since then many people have been trying to catch us in the act of saving New York. There are many fan pages about us now Sometimes they do get the occasional photo but April or Donnie deals with that quickly but they can never get a good photo. and the worst part about it is that the government is trying to get on our tails they see us as a threat to the world I mean I can't really blame them we were intended for war purposes to wipe out the human. But Donnie tries to delete any files that they have on us and even wipes our traces of us. But also they will never suspect if we were right under the city and hopefully they don't find the hidden city anytime soon.

Kyidyl Does Archaeology - Part 1

About me, and about the site.

I’m gonna have to do this in parts because I tend to be, uh...wordy. Actually...ok, so I believe very strongly that knowledge does no one any good behind a paywall, but I also have a hard time parsing it down for social media because, well, people are complex but also ADHD. So if you guys have any feedback for me that’d be awesome. I’ll probably do these as a series so they don’t get overwhelming to read. Tag for ‘em will be kyidylCL

A caveat to all of these posts: archaeologists walk a fine line between “I’d love to tell you about this and here look at this cool thing” and “I don’t want to share a colleague’s forthcoming paper on social media before they publish it and also fuck looters”. We classify anyone who *isn’t* an archaeologist as a looter. Because even when you find artefacts just lying around, as soon as you pick them up they’re removed from context and become near-useless for scientific research and data. When we remove them we capture all that information via a prescribed methodology. When other people remove them they tend not to. And you can tell how legit someone is by how much they care about the context. Context is key, that’s why we’re so meticulous. Anyway so I can’t tell you where the site is specifically because I’m not allowed. I also, though, have been heavily involved in this project so I’m mostly going to be telling you about my own research so it’s ok to publish it on social media. Anyway, that’s why if you show an archaeologist something you just like found they’ll be like “gee...thanks...well...I don’t want to squelch your curiosity, buuuuuut...”

A little bit of background on my involvement with this site: I’m a newly minted archaeologist. I’ve had my MS a little over a year, and I’ve been doing things in that time to keep up my skills and get the field hours I need to be a registered state archaeologist (it’s basically just like a professional license for archs.) bc I didn’t get enough in school and my dissertation is on genetics and cannibalism (and if you want to know about *that* I’ll tell you, but in another post.), so yeah. Anyway. I’ve been volunteering with the local archaeology society, and they’re great. They found this site because two of the members grew up in the area and just knew of its existence. So I volunteer with them and am one of like 3 people they know who have a degree so I get to be really involved - probably more than I would be otherwise just cause people with my credentials are in short supply for them. I’m basically the only member with a degree, and the rest are consultants they bring in for stuff like this (including the RSA who works the site - the site director.).

Before a site can be dug there’s a lot of prep work involved. It varies based on what kind of money you’ve got and access. We have lots of access - it’s on private land owned by someone who is childhood friends with a member of the arch society - but almost zero money. Before I showed up, in summer 2018, they did a series of what are called shovel tests. Basically there’s a grid laid over the site and where the grid lines intersect they dug a round pit down to what archaeologists call “the sterile layer”, IE, where there’s no evidence of human activity. Basically, you dig small holes to see if it’s worth digging big holes and in this case it was worth it.

When I started working with them, I took all of the material from the test pits and sorted and catalogued it. We’ll come back to this in the next post, so remember this. Pause.

I forgot to tell you where the site was. Like not specifically, I can’t do that, but I CAN tell you that it’s in the Shenandoah valley. Wanna see pics? Yeah, you wanna see pics (I took all of the images I’m gonna be posting so I give myself permission to post them. :P):

The site has been occupied for a long time (how long? Well, that’ll happen in the pottery post soooorry. ;), and I think you guys can see why. It’s also on a slight ridge overlooking a river so it’s near fresh water, easily defensible, and is fertile. Speaking of which...

It’s also what archaeologists call “highly disturbed”. See, after the colonizers drove the natives out of the Blue Ridge mountains, they started farming the fertile land in the valley. This site was farmed for several decades, and not only that but during the civil war they dug a big ‘ole defensive trench through the middle of it. So whilst farming disturbs the finds, it tends to a, only be a max of 15 inches deep and b, keep the finds in the same relative area they’re pulled out of. And we can tell where that layer ends (I’ll show you that in the post about our pits bc I don’t think Tumblr will let me add more pics.), so even though it destroys features and damages things it’s a lot less destructive than, say....building a giant war trench and shooting at each other.

The site is an entire settlement. It’s...several acres in size. There are burial cairns in the woods around it, and some rumors that human remains have been found there in the past - although we have not, as of yet, found any (much to my personal dismay because, well...bioarchaeologist.).

So who lived here? Well, when the colonizers drove out the natives they didn’t exactly keep good records about who lived where, but generally speaking the site is on both Massawomeck and Manahoac land. We don’t know which group lived there, and there were other groups coming and going in the general area so it could have also been Piscataway or Potomac or even one of the later nations that formed the Iroquois. Based on the age though I think the best candidates are the Massawomeck or Manahoac.

Next up, the prep work I did for the site and dig!

Hewo, ich me again (TuT) hope you're not annoyed. Can I get a scenario with Overhaul with a shy and sweet yet strong s/o who's in class 1-A? An angsty beginning but with a fluffy ending, please, if it isn't too much. Thank you (I freaking love you writing him aaaahhhhhh keep it up!)

"Are you sick?" A male's voice echoed in the allew... It wasn't night but the dark of this place was similiar of the cold night in Japan.

You body froze in spot, come on! You were an hero on training! You needed to be more confident!

Well your shy and sweet persona never much realy helped your case, but Midoiya always saw pontencial in each one of 1-A so it helped a little your self esteem when the shy teenager pointed your qualities while mumbling. Just ignore Bakugou and you will be fine.

Although the green haired boy had an page about you and that scared you a little.

"Answer my question hero. Are you sick?" The voice grew irritaded as you notice his figurine approaching by hearing his slow footsteps.

"S-Show your self! I don'tknow why you'reso interestedd on this but I-I'm not answering anything until I don't see your face!" You already stay in allert and put up your guard.

The man sighed while mumbling 'those heroes are always making things so difficult'. Soon you heard the footsteps approaching and finally saw the mysterious man.

Golden eyes piercing your soul with only one look, dark brow hair and for complete his terrifying look he had an mask similiar to those ones that people used during the plague.

"Not going to ask again little hero. Are. You. Sick?" He had grew more irritaded as he stared you down.

"Why the sudden worry about it? Y-You don't even know me." You really were trying to keep calm and confident but those eyes glaring down at you made you feel like nothing, an complete insect in this huge world.

"Well, for an individual with such potential study on U.A grounds there's must be something wrong with them." He circled you around like an predator with their prey... Ready to attack by any moment.

"S-So what? You're going to make a proposal where I join your gang or something." You cringed mentally. You talked just like Bakugou would for excep the curses.

He extended an card with only two gloved fingers holding it in your direction, silently demanding that you take it.

Tell them when you call. Have a good day... (Y/N)." You shivered at hearing your name falling from those guy's lips.

You were trembling like bamboo but that still wasn't enough to stop you from going back to your dorms.

Entering the room you saw almost all of Deku squad playing a game on the living room.

"(Y/N)-chan! We're playing Monopoly! Wanna join us?" Uraraka waved and you shook your head at the offer but finally cracked an tiny smile even after such events..

"(Y/N)-chan? Is something wrong?" Asked worriedly Midoriya as he looks up at you while holding still the dices in two hands.

"Yes, you look a little shaken up. Did something happened out there?" Gesture at outside Iila with his hands.

"Maybe it was cold. Want an sweater or to turn the heat of the room? " Todoroki offered.

"No no guys I'm fine! J-Just a little tired is all!" You grip on the card tighten behind your back "I'm going to take an nap or something, before Aizawa-sensei scold me on training."

Everyone remained their woried glazes at you until you finally got out from the room and went for your own accomodation.

You closed the door and stood there while sighing and drooping in your butt to the floor... You finally moved the card close to your face.

Death Starters

1st Rough Draft... Not the Complete story!

03/2005

(THE NAMES IN THIS DRAFT ARE NOT WHAT'S CURRENTLY BEING USED, Though some may have not changed, The Final Edit is different, This is a little teaser and again, there are mistakes that I can even see, So I don't want grammar and punctuation comments lol, just comment on what you think. :)

“Guys they got in! They’re in the house!” Someone screamed from inside the house.

Waking up from a dead sleep, I Jumped up and grabbed the shot gun next to my bed, with Jade following close behind me, she stopped only for a quick second to grab her two hand guns that were sitting on a small night stand next to the door. The House was dark and cold. Throwing my door open, I could immediately tell there was something open, letting the air in… and letting those things inside. Unknowing where the scream came from exactly, I paced myself, slow and steady steps, trying not to make a lot of noise. I stopped at the first door next to my room. Grabbing the knob, I turned it slowly and swung it open. There was Tyler asleep and in his bed, tangled up in his blanket and unturned.

“I can’t believe he didn’t hear that.” Jade said in a stern tone.

I walked through his door, up to his bed and shook him on his shoulder.

“Tyler, Tyler, wake up, they got in.” I whispered.

“Are you fucking kidding!?” Tyler said out loud.

“SHHHHHH!” I snapped back.

“Grab your gun and be quite.” I ordered.

Walking out of his room, there was a huge crash of pot and pans along with something heavy that hit the ground twice in succession. Not Bothering to stop at the next room I ran past and took a left. It was to dark to see what had crashed in the kitchen. A door opened from behind us.

“What the fucks wrong, did they get in?” Skyler asked.

“I think so.” I said

“How?” Asked Kayla.

No-one answered her. I readied my gun and took a step in the kitchen. There was a light switch, to my right. I reached for it. Flicking it on. I stood there in horror, frozen like ice. It was Reighly, but something wasn’t right, his feet weren’t touching the ground and he was bleeding from his chest. There was blood running down the side of his neck and down his arms. There was blood everywhere, the floor was totally shrouded with a red liquid, Reighlys’ blood.

“Get… out… guys… I… tried… to… stop… it… I’m sorry…ack-gulp” Reighly gulped out.

Just as he finished what he could, there was a hand that was planted on is left shoulder. It was glowing with a dark black glow and Reighly Started to scream.

“AAAAAHHHHHHHH… UHH… AAAAAAAAHHHHH!”

“Help him!” Kayla screamed from behind.

But we all knew it was to late.

“EEE-AAAAHHHHHH…!”

With a single motion Reighly was ripped in half, from his left shoulder to his right hip. With a blank stare and some short twitching, Reighly was dead.

All of us, stood frozen in fear and unable to move or think about what to do next til it moved. Snapping us out of the trauma and engulfing us with anger, we all let out a ringing barirage of gun fire. Flash after flash, the bullets entered the ghastly flesh and rotten meat. We kept firing til we all ran out of ammunition in our guns, the demon creature laid there on the floor, lifeless as a stuffed teddy bear. After a few seconds, with me in the lead, I took a couple of steps closer to the phantomed demon. I could here Reighlys’ lost blood splash as I step and walk through it. I could here the others closing in as well, following my steps and staying close behind. As I got closer I could smell this things’ rotten flesh and even see parts of flesh missing all the way to the bone.

“Is it dead?” Asked Tyler.

“I don’t know, but it’s not moving. It could just be unconscious. Lets get it out of here before it wakes up.” I replied.

Slowly inching closer and closer. The smell got so bad I had to forces myself to take breaths of air every so often. Inching my way around the back of it, Tyler and Skyler also do the same thing but stay to that side and inch closer to it’s body. Skyler stopped and looked around for a second, turning his attention to a broom that was laying up against the wall. Reaching for it, he grabbed it.

Clang, clang, wawawa. A boiling pot fell making everyone jump and staring at the thing that just killed Reighly, hoping and even waiting for it to spring back up after all that noise.

“I think it’s dead.” Skyler said.

With the broom in his hands, he reached down with it and poked it in the arm...nothing. He did it a second time… nothing.

“It must be dead.” Tyler said.

I reached down, scrunching my nose, nervous, and wet from fear. I pushed myself to grab it. Going down, my hand goes right through it and hits the floor. Unexpected with what just happened, I fell and I went through the shady demon. It smelled like rotten meat in the sun. Shocked with fear, I stagger to my knees , almost falling again, I caught myself and quickly turned around to see if it had waken up. Still the same position as it was. Unmoved.

“What the fuck? Didn’t you just touch it with that broom?” I screamed in confusion.

“Yeah, I fucking did!” Skyler snapped.

A couple seconds later, there was some movement, with it we heard a scream.

“AAAAAAHHHH!”

It was Kayla. Turning around, struck me with fear, I couldn’t move one inch of my body. It was Reighly, his upper body was dragging himself with one arm. He wasn’t making a noise at all and with every couple of inches he crawled, blood squirted from every place that was open, from his shoulder down to his hip.

“Reighly, can you hear me? You shouldn’t move man.” Skyler said.

“Guys keep me away, I’m not doing this on my own guys. That things controlling my body, it’s not me. I can hear it. It’s saying new soul, KEEP ME AWAY!” Reighly screamed.

Pulling himself closer and closer, he’s now only a foot from the phantom corps.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING GET THAT OUT OF HERE!” Reighly yelled.

“Look!” yelled Jade.

Everyone turned there attention to the life less phantom. It was moving but towards Reighly.

“Someone grab a broom or something we can touch it with this.” Skyler said.

It took a second but Tyler found a mop and I found a squeegee. We set our self around it to try to lift it. Ty’s and Skylers lift it up but mine just went right through it.

“What the fuck? Why can’t I grab it or even touch it?” I asked myself out loud.

“Skyler, lets just get this out of here!” Tyler shouted.

The two set themselves so each of them balanced the thing on top of both handles. Slowly they raised it. Step by step, They went for the front door. Getting further from Reighly even as he crawled closer, trying to get to his prize. I was in front just making sure they got there and to open the door they could throw that thing out of the house.

I unlatched the door and peeked out. It was cold and windy. I couldn’t see much of nothing past the porch light. It must have been early in the morning or a little later in the night.

“You see anything babe?” Jade asked.

“No.”

“Do you think they’ll come if they see the door open?” Kayla asked from the back somewhere.

“I don’t know but I guess we’ll find out huh.” I replied.

I swung the door open and they threw it out the door. Slamming it behind em. I latched it, leaned on the door and slide down till I was sitting on the floor.

“What about the others?” Jade asked.

“Fuck!” I replied.

I stood up with her helping me up by my arm. Everyone’s just standing there staring at Reighly, that’s still trying to inch his way to the lifeless phantom. After three or four pulls from his right arm he stops.

“I’m sorry guys.”

And his body calaps now lifeless.

Skyler walked up to his old friend and stands there for a minute in silence.

“How many more are going to die to these things? Are we going to ever get out of these houses alive?” He asked out loud.

“I don’t know man but it’s worth trying.” I said.

There a good amount of silence, til footsteps upstairs alerted us. Everyone one of us running to get to the stairs. Two of us, Skyler and I fall on the blood but manage to catch ourselves on the counter top. At the end of the kitchen, the stairs are to the right. We hit those stairs in an ant line. There was blood trailing down em and was probably from Reighly. As we get to the top, we could see the only door open was Reighlys with the blood trailing from in there.

“Lorili was in there with him.” Kayla whispered.

Who was right behind me, with Jade and Tyler trailing close behind.

No one said nothing to what she said.

Skyler was the first one in the room, seeing everything first, he glanced at me. His expression gave me chills down my back. I knew what to expect just because of that just because of the way he looked at me… I was right… When I walked in, all you could see was blood. The whole room was layered in it. Lorili was laying there on the floor, face down. Her arms were missing and she was naked. It looked like they were both sleeping when it got in. Examining the room from where I stood. The boarded up window was clean open, nothing was there but pure outside exposure but I couldn‘t fell no air. Both of there guns laid next to there bed on there night stand.

“They didn’t even get to get to there guns.” I said

“How bout’ everyone stays out, well take care of this. Go Check on the others, see if there alright and let em’ know what happened.” Skyler instructed.

They did as he said each of them going to each room of there own and telling them what happened. All the doors were locked and reinforced. I could hear Brianna scream in agony. Lorili was her best friend and the only one left in her family or close to it.

The closer I got to the window, the harder my heart started to pound. Cause I do know that this one window i boarded up but I kept the window in it… and it still was… there…. Then…

“Skyler! There in the house somewhere else! Didn’t you feel that breeze down stairs? I could and this windows closed. I don’t know how they got into just Reighlys room but they did either it got in in here and killed Reighly and I just was feeling things or something’s open down stairs and that wasn’t the only one in here…”

Boom-Bang. My sentence was pause.

“Did that just come from the closet?” Skyler asked.

“I’m thinking it did.”

“Guys bring the guns you have and Don’t go down stairs, something’s open down there! AND HURRY!” Skyler screamed.

There was a pounding of feet and Ty walk in the room, followed with Eli.

“Holy shit!” Eli said stunned.

“Damn it, he couldn’t save her.” Ty said.

“Don’t go down stairs, something’s open. The other one is locked in that closet right there, you bring the guns?” Skyler explained.

“Dude Courtney’s down there in the shower, I have to go back down there.” Ty snapped back.

“Go down there and get her and bring her back up here til we find what’s open down there k.” Skyler demanded.

“something’s open down there?”

“Ya, but we don’t know where, so be careful take a few guns k.” I replied.

Being careful and hurrying at the same time Ty and Eli walk down the stairs skipping a one every other step. Getting to the bottom, they take a left into the kitchen. Reighly was still in the same spot, lifeless.

“Fucking idiot, why didn’t he yell for help?” Eli asked.

“He did I guess, we were just to late.”

The two didn’t go into the living room where the corrupted slain body of Reighly laid. But they went through the kitchen and took a left to the end of the hall way. They could hear that shower on and gargling from inside.

“Babe, are you alright? We need to get up stairs, something’s open down here…. Babe…”Bang, bang, bang, Ty said knocking on the door.

Ty steps back and kicks the door in. There she was sitting in the bottom of the bathtub naked. But she was looking up at something… They followed her eyes up. It was another one, but he wasn’t fully in side, just his arm. Trying to reach for her through an open window not big enough to even squeeze a cat out.

“Don’t move k. Ty don’t shoot it, I have an idea. Maybe if we teach it a lesson it wont come back, you said the broom stick can touch it right?” Eli said.

He left the room for a second and returned with the broom.

“You fucker, I’ll fuck you up!” Eli told the phantom.

With all his strength, he swung it, hitting the arm multiple times. Each tme the thing made a noise of pain and even though the arm flung around and tried to grab him it couldn’t do nothing. Finally it stop and pulled its arm out. For a second it was pitch black ubtil the this stuck its face in.

“Your one ugly mother fucker!” Eli yelled.

“Get the hell out of here!”

Grabbing the broom with two hands he stabbed as the face out the window. With a scream, the thing was gone. Eli shut the board window.

“You can finish your shower, we have to clean up a little before we let you girls see anything k.” Eli told her.

Getting closer to the closet door, Skyler grabbed the door knob. I was ready to fire when it was swung open. He looked at me and nodded. He swung the door open and sure enough, there was one in there, that came right out. I started firing, Skyler join in and within a couple of seconds I was killed. We opened the window and threw it out side.

3 days later

We were all sitting in the living room, everyone from all four houses, or the survivors of them. The same situation happen over at one of the other house the same night. Three were killed there, til they took control over the situation. It was hard to keep one conversation going. But we did finalize on how Reighly and Lorili was killed at least. Two of them got in through the window. Reighly got the first one in the closet, but as soon as he did that, the other one got in and killed Lorili first, with Reighly already injured pretty bad, he just ran down stairs probably hoping there was someone up and only got to yell what he yelled before that thing grabbed him. But that wasn’t the only thing we discussed. It was the window and how they get in and why we can’t touch em’. We concluded that these things, whatever they are, can go through things, well anything except wood… and certain metals. There’s one more thing we haven’t figured out yet…

Why do the people they kill come back to life just to get to I thing that killed em? We haven’t figured it out yet and we don’t want to…

6 months before

“Hey guys!” A voice echoed through out the house.

Some how, the yell woke me up. I glance over at the nightstand.

6:00am.

“What the fuck.” I whispered to myself.

I could feel Jades naked body still laying on me the way she had fell asleep last night. I could tell she didn’t seem to hear the yell that woke me up and was still well asleep.

“Was I dreaming?” I whispered to myself again.

I lay there, listening and waiting for the yell to echo throughout the house again, but there were only the sounds of our fans blowing on our bed from either side. I closed my eyes and started to drift back to sleep. Several minutes past, just as I was about to fall back asleep, the door flung open. Sitting up, startled, I forgot Jade was laying on me and she was nearly thrown off the bed, but grabbing my arm, she caught herself.

“What the Fuck!?” I yelled.

It was Eli; he was still in his pajama pants with no shirt on.

“Fucking come and see this shit guys, I’m fucking freaked the fuck out.” Eli demanded.

“Fucking Eli, why did you wake us up, it better fucking be good or I’ll be pissed.” I Said with a yell as he started to walk back through the hall way.

“I’m fucking pissed Eli, I swear to god, if this isn’t important, I’m going to fucking kill you.” Jade yelled.

I swung my feet around til they were both on the floor, it was cold, not only were the fans on, but the windows and screen door to our balcony were wide open. I had left it open last night to cool it down from the summers heat. Which didn’t really help much; it didn’t really cool it down but instead let the hot air inside, til much later. But the floor was cold now, as well as the room. I could feel it on the wood floor, it almost hurt the bottom of my feet, it was so cold.

“God damn! It’s so cold in here; I’m freezing my balls off Babe.” I complained.

“Well put some cloths on, I think it feels good.” Jade stated.

“I’m just going to put my Pajama pants on, I don’t think I ‘m going to need a shirt. Babe hurry, I want to see what’s so important. It’s not everyday something freaks Eli out.” I said in a rush.

Slipping the pjs on while she slipped hers on, I threw one of her random shirts to her that had been lying on the floor. I walked over to the window and peered out for a second. It was a bit cloudy and the sun was no where to be seen, just a gloomy and grey day. I walked over to the open screen door and walked out on the balcony. It was wet and humid; I could smell the morning dew, and the mountain rain. Taking a deep breath of the fresh, wild mountain air, i turned around and stepped back inside. Jade wasn’t in the room and the door was open a little more then had Eli left it.

“Dang it, she left without me. Bad woman.” I mumbled to myself.

I left my room taking a right through the hall way, passing Tylers and Justines room, Skylers and Kaylas shortly after that. Taking a left before I get to the Bathroom, took me into the Master Living room. Almost everyone was in there except for Eli, who was probably hiding from Jade and I. Skyler and Kayla were on the love seat to the right and Cody, Cami, Soyer, and Brianna were all on the corner couch in the middle of the room and Tyler and Justine were on the recliner. I didn’t see Jade, Eli, or Jamie. I could smell food cooking and hear clanging of dishes and pans in the kitchen to the right of me.

“I’m bettin’ that’s Jamie.” I thought to myself.

“What the fuck was Eli yelling for? It better be good cause I’m pissed. “ I swore.

“Dude, we’re all going to die, it’s the end of the world and there will be nothing left.” Cody blurted out.

“Shut the fuck up jerk!” Cami said ending the sentence with a smack on the back of Codys arm that echoed throughout the room.

“Yeah, if you say that again I’m going to do more then a smack Cody.” Kayla added.

“Guys! Listen its back on!” Soyer cut in.

“We still don’t know the whole story, but it is confirmed that there are two asteroids that are in the path of the Earth, one of which being the size of the state of Delaware and the second, trailing it, half the size of that. It is speculated that they’ll both hit about 100 miles west of Florida, simultaneously, The President of the United States has issued a national state of emergency and has ordered the entire west coast to be evacuated, we are urging you to get under ground or find shelter, with plenty of food and water, along with blankets or whatever you can grab that might be of use. There is at least three or four days of time before for they will hit our orbit and another two til impact. “Dane, so explain the situation a little more clearly, we know there’s two asteroids on our course, but is there anything we can do? Is there anything that we and the people need to know that hasn’t been said already?” the Anchor man asked.

“Well, there’s a lot to taking into thinking, Yes , there are two asteroids on course for Earth, one being 1,545 square miles and the other 720.5 miles wide. They are expected and has been calculated to impact around 161 kilometers or 100 miles west of Florida. As of right now there has been no change in the situation, other then what other countries are doing. Russia, Japan, and North Korea have already launched there own global defense missiles to try to knock the larger one off course and there has been no further information or news about that. The U.S. Government are getting together and, as we speak, are trying to see what they can do as a country, to stop this catastrophe. Until I have further news, all I can say is what you all have already heard, take shelter, under ground would be the safest and the further under ground u get the safer, and obviously most of you don’t have that kind of place to go to take shelter but there are bomb shelters. Schools and libraries all are made to take shelter from elements like this. Take as much perishable foods and water as you can. Do not take things you will not need or balky things, you will need room. Make sure you bring plenty of blankets with you cause it will get cold. Other then that, I do not have any more advice to give you on that.” Dane explained.

“Dane, you said that Japan, North Korea, and Russia have launched there own defenses separately, what is there goal? Do they think they have the technology to do this and do they? And if they miss does The U.S. have there own plan for this?” The Anchor man asked.

“Umm, to my knowledge, these missiles are to hopefully knock the bigger asteroid off our course, but from what I heard, it’s only a 30% success rate, even with three missiles, it’s just by chance the missiles will do that. As far as the technology to do it, I myself believe we do, but it just haven’t been exposed yet, and if we do, this will be the time to expose it. The United States, undoubtly, has a plan, but I haven’t been informed about it and if I do ill let you know.” Dane Said.

“Kay, thanks Dane, hope to hear from you soon.” The anchor man finished.

“Umm, so what do you guys want to do? Do you want to go home? We are in a pretty safe place here you know.” Soyer suggested.

“Well , I know there’s like 5 days til it even gets here, so if we’re going to stay here then we need to make it livable for all of us and we don’t have enough food or gas to even last 4 months, so I think we need to get a move on.” Skyler Protested.

“Ok, does everyone want to stay here then?” I asked.

There was a short time of silence and I could tell and even see fear and uncertainty on half of there faces, with excitement on the other half. Looking around I notice Jade, Eli, and Jamie joined in the little congregation and for what seemed a long time, everyone just stould there, silent, looking at each other and waiting for someone to speak.

“Well k, then I’m taking that as a yes.” I said, breaking the silence.

“Umm, but I think we should call our families before we finalize our decisions. What if they want us with them?” Brianna added.

“I think we should all just stay here, I mean, it’s not for me to say, but I think this place is one of the best places to at least keep out of the confusion of the towns and city’s, I know we have to go down to town to stock up, but thinking past that. If we went down there, where are we going to go to take shelter? The school, the Library, or what? Those places are limited with space and we even have three more huge houses out here, if we want, our families can all come out here, room here isn’t the an issue.” Jamie pleaded.

“Well, my family’s in a different state so I’m out, and Flints, Jades, Kaylas, Jamies, and Codys families are all out of state or won’t drive all the way out here. I mean we can see if they all will still.” Eli stated.

There was another moment of silence until it was broke by a pop in the kitchen.

“Oh shit, I forgot about the eggs!” Jamie said running into the kitchen.

No-one said another word to each other for a good hour, everyone just went to there own spot and called there families to see what their plans are and to see if they want to come out here. Most of the girls were crying except for Jamie. I can see why though, when she was little, her whole family was killed in a car wreck after dropping her off at a friends house. Since she was too young to even realize what really happened, she went to her aunt and uncles and was abused til they to were killed in car wreck , but this time it was them drunk and it was them that killed another whole family. Luckily she had a steady job and was in school. They even brought up her grades and even down to what she looked like, so the courts ruled her an adult, and able to think and live on her own, ever since then, she lived with Eli, in a month, it’ll be two years since she moved in and three years since they have been together. It’s easy to tell what she’s going to do. But it’s hard to tell about any of the others, even with Jade.

After about an hour or two, everyone started to get back together in the living room.

“Well, me and Kayla’s staying.” Skyler threw out there for everyone one to know.

“So are me and Cami, but Cami wants to spend some time with her grandma though.” Cody added.

“Umm, Jade and I are staying too, but my brothers are on the way, my mom and dad want to spend what time they have left together since he just got out of prison. Jade’s lil bro and two lil sis’s are on there way too, they’ll be here in less then 24 hrs; I have to pick em up at the airport. In 18 hours.” I said.

“We’re here to stay too.” Soyer said.

“My little sis is on her way here too, she’s going to call me when she gets to Sandpoint. But Justine’s going down to her parents cause they want her to but they don’t want me there, so she’s going alone and I’m stayin’.”

I could see hurt in his eyes when he said that. She had tears in her eyes, you could tell she was doing it against her will. After a second of silence, Eli broke in.

“K, well we need to get things going then, we have five days, to get four houses blow-up proof, livable, and comfortable. We Have 2 generators for each house one gas and one electric/gas hybrid for each house and they all need to be wired to the house, my dad did set up a wind mill up there on top of the mountain big enough to power all four houses but he could never get it to work even though it was set up by the book. Good thing about it is once it starts going it wont stop till we stop it ourselves. All my dad does when he is here, is work and add to the houses, he’s crazy but now that he’s gone and Tracey’s not living here anymore, there are things he didn’t get to finish that I don‘t even know about yet, But aside from that, we still need a lot of things. Like gas and alot more water, enough to last a whole year. Our Neighbor has a water truck that he’s been trying to sale and we could use that to fill up all the wells, once filled. I bet we would have enough water for two years with over a hundred people.” Eli Planned out loud.

“After we get the water filled up and shit we could use the truck to fill up barrels and put em’ out back. There has to be at least 200 barrels out at the recycling center. and there plastic to with no wholes.” Soyer added.

“I Guess I’ll use my credit card to get the gas then.” Skyler sighed.

“What about food?” I asked out load for opinions.

Everyone just looked at each other waiting for someone to speak, everyone looked like they just hit a brick wall going a hundred.

“How bout we go down to that deer farm. There’s some huge deer there and enough to feed all of us a long time, I know how to make jerky, and that lasts, and it almost never expires.” Cody blurted out.

“This is fucking crazy! Why didn’t they tell us earlier, they had to of seen it a long time ago with all that technology, don’t you think?” Cami said panicky.

“They probably did know, but didn’t want people to worry to early in case they changed course or something."

Song of her heart

Itsuki awoke to the sound of her phone ringing next to her bed. It was nearly midnight. Normally, she’d be annoyed that she had been woken up by a phone call, except that her phone said Tsubomi was calling her, and if Tsubomi was calling her this late at night, there must be a reason.

“Why are you calling me now? It’s almost midnight!”

“I just saw Yuri walking through the streets in a really pretty ball gown. She passed by my house and I don’t know where she’s going, but I feel like something’s going on and Erika has already begun sneaking out to follow her so now you have to come too.”

Itsuki couldn’t think of anything to say. But a part of her was curious about why Yuri was wandering the streets in a ballgown in the middle of the night, and that part of her was waking her up fully, causing the sleepiness to dissipate until she was as alert as she was during the middle of the day.

And she really, really wanted to see what Yuri’s dress looked like...

“I’ll be right there.”

She hung up the phone and crept out of the house.

Moments later, Itsuki had arrived to where Tsubomi and Erika were hiding with the fairies. All three girls were in their pajamas, everyone was whispering, and Tsubomi noticed Itsuki first.

“Itsuki! You’re here! Shhh, don’t let her notice you. Hide behind these bushes, we’re gonna follow her in stealth mode.”

It was then that Itsuki caught sight of the woman across the street, shining in the moonlight. The sky was clear, the moon was full, and Yuri was radiant.

Her feet were bare, and she wasn’t wearing her glasses. She wore a large white lily flower in her hair, and gold drop earrings shaped like crescent moons. Her dress was lavender and strapless, with a large purple ribbon at the waist, adorned with a white lily that matched the one in her hair. The skirt was short at the front, but the back of it went almost down to her feet, just above the ground. Under the scalloped lavender part of the skirt was a visible layer of white lace, which resembled more than one layer due to the massive ruffles of the skirt. Itsuki was breathtaken. This outfit was the kind of thing she usually only saw online, in movies, and when watching awards shows.

“Wow... that dress is amazing.”

“Where did she even get it?”

“It’s not from Fairy Drop, that’s for sure. Although now I want to make a ballgown for some reason.”

As Itsuki watched Yuri, she was glad it was summer. Going outside at midnight in just your pajamas and a pair of sandals wasn’t the best activity for any other season. Same with going outside at midnight in bare feet and a strapless dress.

The girls continued to follow Yuri as silently as they could. She seemed focused on something or lost in thought, or both. Her hands were clasped together over her chest as if she was carrying something precious. She finally stopped in front of the greenhouse where the girls had met up so many times to discuss Pretty Cure, those months ago when the world had been in danger. It felt like so long ago and yet so recent, it was hard to believe it had been 7 months since the day Dune was defeated.

Yuri stepped into the greenhouse. Erika attempted to follow her in, but Itsuki blocked her.

“She’ll notice way too easily if we’re in there with her. The walls are glass, we can sneak around the place and watch her from there.”

The girls and fairies crawled on the ground and followed Yuri from outside the building. She walked through the flowers, past Coppe, until she finally stopped.

The light from the full moon filled the place where she had stopped walking, bathing her in moonlight. She stood among the flowers, next to a sparkling waterfall. For a second, she did nothing.

Then she turned to face the moon and took out her Heart Seed. It was repaired, but the crack was still visible where it had been broken in half just over two years ago. She looked up towards the moon and began to sing.

“aahhh-aahhh aah-ahhhh ah...”

“She’s... singing?”

The three girls crept closer to the glass, where they could hear her song better.

“Wow...”

“I just wish that you could know

that I kept the promise”

“Who knew she had such a beautiful singing voice...”

“Cure Moonlight can sing-desu...”

“Shh! I can’t hear the words with you two talking!”

“Sorry.”

“Tell them all I’m fine

I see it everywhere

Final words before you go...”

“What’s she singing about?”

As Itsuki listened to her song, she began to shed a few tears herself. Yuri had gone from alternating between singing about her combat life and singing about her depression, to singing directly to the people she loved who had died before her eyes.

Itsuki looked at her teammates to see they were holding back tears as well. She silently nodded at them as Yuri continued to sing.

“Fight... fly... cry...

Sure enough, Yuri finished singing a moment later. When she finished her song, Itsuki could hear a faint splash. She approached the glass even more, and saw what was making it.

Another tear fell, landing in the water from the waterfall. Followed by another.

Moments later, Itsuki heard a voice from the waterfall. There seemed to be an image in the waterfall, too, but she couldn’t tell what it was due to the angle she was watching from.

Yuri began to cry, talking to the voice.

“Is this real...”

“Oh my god.” came a voice next to Itsuki

Itsuki turned and saw Tsubomi. “What is it?”

“I recognize that voice.”

“You recognize it? From where?”

“Shh, it’s saying something.”

The three girls quieted down as they listened.

“That music you were singing... is that Lana Del Rey?”

“It is the song of my heart.” responded Yuri.

“The song of her heart-desu?” said Coffret next to Erika. “It’s a tragic song-desu.”

“It would sound happier if it was altered just a little-desu.” came Chypre’s voice in response. “If it either wasn’t in minor key, or it was maybe just slightly faster, and if you removed most of the parts about death... The song could be a dance song, but instead it’s sad-desu.”

As Yuri kept talking to the voice, the younger girls continued to watch her, but they quickly realized that this was something to leave her alone for.

“I’m tired... Let’s leave Yuri alone and go back to bed.”

“Agreed.”

Tsubomi, Erika, Itsuki, and the fairies crawled away from the greenhouse and returned home, each girl sneaking back inside and collapsing into bed, falling asleep almost immediately with the sad melody still in their heads. Despite the sad music, however, they all had pleasant dreams.

☽༝┉┉┉┉┉˚*❋ ❋ ❋*˚┉┉┉┉┉༝☾

It had been just over half an hour, and Yuri had felt almost every emotion in existence, although not always to a lot of capacity.

One last time... One last time to ask all the questions she had, and say everything she had spent forever wishing she could say.

And she’s there, too...

Yuri felt a strange sense of peace, for the first time since the final battle. As if she was standing in the waterfall instead of next to it, and the water was washing away the darkness and depression that had taken hold long ago and, while it had definitely faded, hadn’t managed to completely go away, until now.

“I feel... for the first time in a while, I feel like I’m turning a page in my life, or I’m about to.”

“And you’re about to get to a new chapter.”

She smiled. “The story’s just begun, and I’m going to keep on reading it.”

“There’s my Yuri... The night’s getting late, don’t you think? It’s past midnight.”

“Yeah, I am getting a little sleepy, come to think of it.”

“Lie back and touch the water. When you wake up, tomorrow will have come, and the next chapter will have begun.”

Yuri obeyed, lying down among the flowers and reaching out with her hand to touch the surface of the water. She gasped as the water trickled up and over her hand, continuing to trickle over her in tiny streams as she lifted her hand up from the water and placed it over her chest, as the images in the waterfall smiled and then shimmered out and disappeared.

Yuri looked up into the sky, towards the full moon, which cast its light onto her as she fell asleep in the gardens.

*⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*

The next morning, Tsubomi went to the greenhouse to check on the flowers with Erika and Itsuki. She passed by the waterfall and noticed something. Shimmering light purple fabric.

She moved the tall flowers aside and got closer. Yuri was sleeping among the flowers, still in her ball gown. It was light out, but she was still sleeping profoundly despite the bright sun. She had been crying the previous night, but she was smiling ever so slightly in her sleep.

Erika walked up to her and focused on the dress. “Okay, now I really want to make a ball gown. You gonna help me, Tsubomi?”

“She’s dreaming of us.”

“How do you know?”

“I just do.”

“So do I.”

Right as Erika finished saying this, Yuri’s eyes fluttered open. She sat up among the flowers, looking at her friends. She slowly got up from where she had been sleeping as Itsuki came over.

“Hey everyone!”

“Good morning, Yuri!”

“Do you guys want to do something today? Hang out together?”

“Sure! It’s summer, we’ve got the whole day! What do you want to do?”

“Anything, really. Let’s see where the day takes us.”

Yuri began to head towards the entrance/exit to the greenhouse, ready to step out into the world. She only looked back once, to make sure the other 3 were following her, which they were.

“I have a feeling that I will soon have a new song to sing.”

Did you ever hit anything while learning to drive? In my first few weeks of driving, I hit the shoulder of a pedestrian. I was going around 20-30 kph, so it wasn’t like I just brushed his arm. Part 1

Aoki: Our story begins in the village of Shintonoyama. It is here where our heroine lives with her mother, her only living parent, her father having passed away years previous. Name of Ryumi.

(Scene: A house in Shintonoyama, at sunset. Inside, a girl slips on her sandals in preparation to go out. This is Ryumi. A woman, Ryumi’s mother, approaches.)

Ryumi’s Mother: That time again, Ryumi?

Ryumi: Yup! Gotta earn our living, you know.

Ryumi’s Mother: Wait. (adjusts Ryumi’s bow) There. Perfect.

Ryumi: Mom, don’t worry about how I look. That’s my job.

Ryumi’s Mother: I know. Sorry.

(Ryumi leaves, waving her mother goodbye as she goes.)

Ryumi: Later, Mom!

Ryumi’s Mother: Good luck!

(As Ryumi hurries through town, she meets up with two village boys.)

Ryumi: Hey, guys!

Kagetsu: Also living in Shintonoyama are Ryumi’s two friends. They are Shigeto and Hisaaki, and tonight, they are her helpers.

Shigeto: So, what are we pulling off this time?

Ryumi: Eh, the usual.

Hisaaki: Nothing new, huh? Oh well. Guess people prefer the classics.

Shigeto: Hey, you think we can throw in the long necked girl thing again?

(The other two look at him.)

Shigeto: What? It’s funny. It needs comedy to balance the whole thing out. They’re gonna be throwing money at us.

Hisaaki: Either that, or they’ll throw something at us.

Ryumi: We’ll see.

(Cut to the interior of a theater, packed full of astonished villagers. Onstage, Ryumi is performing Mizugei, or water magic. The audience clap their hands. Next, she takes a small box, shows the audience that it’s empty, then drops a silk flower inside. She then reaches in and scatters dozens of silk flowers over the audience, who ooh and aah. Ryumi steps offstage, allowing Shigeto and Hisaaki to come onstage.)

Shigeto: Everybody having a good time, tonight?

(The audience cheer.)

Hisaaki: There’s your answer.

Shigeto: Well, how many of you here have heard of the witch with the extendable neck?

Male Theatergoers: ME!/Oh my god, YES!/I gotta see this!/Would this witch be incredibly beautiful?

Shigeto: Alrighty then, people! For your entertainment, she is here to demonstrate her amazing gift. Just sit tight.

(With that, the two exit the stage. The lights dim, and after a few suspenseful moments, a lantern is lit, illuminating Ryumi in a kneeling position, wearing a kimono and a geisha wig. As the audience watch, her neck seems to elongate. Her head floats above her body, while the bendable neck stretches and flexes. The crowd goes ballistic. One guy even pukes a bit in his mouth. Shigeto and Hisaaki watch from backstage.)

Shigeto: That never gets old.

Kagetsu: Y’know, I never got how all those tricks were pulled off. I mean, how does she do that?

Aoki: Well, for the long necked trick, I think they use a-

Kagetsu: WHOA, NO! Don’t spoil it! Think of the children’s hopes and dreams!

Aoki: (looks at the camera) ...Okay.

(The show finished, the three take a bow during a round of applause. Cut to the exterior of the theater, where everybody, including Ryumi and her friends, are heading home.)

Shigeto: WHOO! What a show! We sure blew their minds tonight, didn’t we?

Ryumi: Yeah. Still, that was nothing compared to what my dad could do.

Hisaaki: Here we go again.

Shigeto: What could your dad do, again? Bring paper dolls to life, or something?

Ryumi: Well, yeah, but he also knew the Lord Taizan ceremony. That puts him right up there with Abe no Seimei. He’s probably even met a bunch of spirits in his lifetime. Yokai, too.

Shigeto: Okay, we get it. You wanna rise to his level and become a true magician. We’ve all heard that story before.

Hisaaki: If he has met yokai, wouldn’t there be one living in the forest who probably knew him?

Shigeto: Maybe, but then again, there are lots of ‘em in the forest! Take your pick!

Ryumi: I would like to meet a being who knew Dad. I never did get to learn all his secrets growing up.

Shigeto: Well, why don’t we try to find one? I know this great shortcut back to town. There’s no doubt we’ll meet a yokai along the way.

Hisaaki: Uh, Shigeto, are you sure about this? It could be dangerous. I mean-

Shigeto: Hey, no worries. Think of it as a test of courage. (to Ryumi) Whaddaya say, Ryumi? Are you in?

(After a moment of consideration, Ryumi gives her answer.)

Ryumi: Well... If it means possibly meeting someone or something that knew my dad, then... Let’s do it!

Shigeto: Okay, Ryumi! Lead the way!

(With Ryumi leading, they start on the path through the forest.)

Kagetsu: (sarcastically) Oh, wow. I don’t see how this could go horribly wrong at all.

(In the forest, the trio make their way along the path, with only their lantern to guide them.)

Hisaaki: You sure this leads back to town?

Shigeto: Sure, I’ve used it a dozen times during the day.

Hisaaki: (sarcastically) Well, that’s helpful.

(From a nearby tree, a branch seems to move, unnoticed by the three. It’s no branch, but the leg of some gigantic creature. Ryumi suddenly stops.)

Hisaaki: What’s wrong?

Ryumi: Don’t you think it’s too quiet here?

Shigeto: (looks around) Hey, yeah! No night birds, no animals, no crickets... These things just don’t happen! No noise in the woods?

(He stops, noticing how Ryumi and Hisaaki have gone quiet as well.)

Shigeto: See, even you guys. What are you looking at, any...

(Following their shocked gaze, he trails off, jaw dropped. For above, a mass of spiderwebbing stretches from branch to branch, with gnawed-on bones embedded within.)

Shigeto: ...Oh.

(Suddenly, there is a gust of wind, and the lantern goes out. Almost immediately, something huge lands behind them. They turn around to see a gigantic, mad-eyed spider - a tsuchigumo.)

Ryumi: ...Run?

(The trio proceed to do so, screaming all the way, with the tsuchigumo in pursuit. They tear out of the forest, running for their lives all the way back to Shintonoyama, shouting at the top of their lungs.)

Youths: HELP!/Somebody help!/Look out!/Run for your lives!/Death spider! DEATH SPIDER!

(As they tear through town, the people still awake at the time look at them, confused. Some come out of their houses to see what’s the matter. And then it is too late. The tsuchigumo breaks off from the chase, and rapidly crawls into the gathering crowd. The night air is filled with terrified screams as havoc ensues. Meanwhile, in Ryumi’s house, her mother’s eyes snap open.)

Ryumi’s Mother: Ryumi...?!

(Back amidst the chaos, the three frantically push and shove their way through the panicked masses, trying to reach Ryumi’s home. Ryumi stumbles and falls, and before the other two can pull her back onto her feet, the tsuchigumo singles them out. As the people flee, the tsuchigumo slowly approaches them. It prepares to pounce... but then a figure leaps between it and the trio.)

Ryumi: Mom?

(Ryumi’s mother stands there, unafraid. Then, she begins to glow with a great power, and nine fox tails appear from behind her. The three can only watch, stunned. The tsuchigumo lunges, but Ryumi’s mother levitates the youths and herself away from the attack. As they land safely on a nearby roof, Ryumi is the first to speak up.)

Ryumi: Mom, what the heck is going on?!

Ryumi’s Mother: No time to explain.

(Below, the tsuchigumo spots them. Ryumi’s mother holds out her hand, and a portal leading to a field outside Shintonoyama appears.)

Shigeto: WHOA! Okay!

Ryumi’s Mother: Ryumi, you must find your grandfather, Nakaari, my father.

Ryumi: Find my... But where?!

Ryumi’s Mother: He lives in the spirit realm. Go to him. Protect the magic jewel he has.

Ryumi: Magic jewel...? But Mom...

Ryumi’s Mother: More than our lives are at stake here. Hurry!

(Without another word, Ryumi jumps through the portal.)

Shigeto: C’mon, Hisaaki!

Hisaaki: Wait, can we talk about th- (Shigeto grabs him and jumps through the portal) AAAAHHHHHH!

(Once all three youths are on the other side of the portal, Ryumi looks back at her mother.)

Ryumi: Mo-

(Suddenly, the tsuchigumo tackles Ryumi’s mother, and the portal closes.)

Ryumi: NO!

(The portal doesn’t reopen. There is only them, and the night.)

Ryumi: Mom...

Pt 79: The End!

Both Lego Voltron and Voltron: Legendary Defender are all done!

The last step in the Voltron construction, appropriately enough, is lowering the face in place, just like in the original anime.

Lego Batman: “And i’ll form the head!”

After that it’s just a matter of connecting the shield and sword and the set is finally finished!

Lego Batman: “I need to get my own Bat-mech now.”

For fun, here’s a comparison of the Lego Voltron set and Legendary Defender Voltron set.

Lego Batman: “Mine’s bigger.” Sven: “Well, this one can talk!”

Here’s the Lego Black Lion with the Legendary Defender Black Lion, and the original 1984 Voltron Black Lion toy (only one of the set I still have).

Lego Batman: “Cool, you can actually ride in the old one!”

Finally, here’s a comparison of all the other Lego Lions with their Legendary Defender counter parts.

Sven: “No meed to fight over who is cooler, you’re all awesome.” Lego Batman: “Just not as awesome as me.”

In the end, this was a long build (this post is a day late due to how much I had to do with both things ending) but I had a lot of fun along the way!

The final episode of Voltron: Legendary Defender, "The End is the Beginning", starts off right were the last one ended, with Honerva and team Voltron facing off in their city size mechs. Honerva fires the first shot, not at Voltron but at Zarkon and little Lotor, fortunately Voltron blocks it with their sword. Honerva then attacks the good guys, and Keith correctly determines that two city size mechs fighting in the middle of a city is not a good idea, so they lure Honerva out to the countryside.

Keith: “We interrupt this episode with a scene from Gundam.”

After trading several blows, and almost smashing Honerva through a mountain, Honerva stabs Voltron with her wing blades and escapes out of another reality rift. Team Voltron gives chase and finds themselves outside of all realities, which is represented by a giant web of glowing lines.

Lance: “Odd, I figured the outside of the universe would be blue.”

Honerva then goes extra crazy and starts blasting off all the branches of reality, which has a side effect of staggering team Voltron with images of all the lives lost in each reality. When there’s only one reality left, presumably the one they’re in, Voltron manages to fight back, but Honerva’s mech is just too strong and she goes to ram them into the last reality string. In a last ditch effor all the paladins scream at once (since that actually works most of the time).

All: “AAAAHHHHHH!!!” Lego Batman: “You guys really get into this show...”

And the result of this is the already city size Atlas-Voltron forming a ridiculous jet pack the size of a small planet. They use this to force Honerva into the core of reality.

There, without any of their mechs and only the paladins and Honerva around (no clue what happened to the rest of the Atlast crew), they all have a little heart to heart. The paladins plead with Honerva to undo all the damage that she’s done, but she declares that if she can’t have a happy life then no one should. Allura then does her mind meld trick and shows Honerva that she actually did have a happy life, with friends and loved ones, before all this Quintessence power madness. Honerva finally sees reason, but says it’s too late to fix the destroyed realities, but Allura knows of one way it would work. Problem is that it would take both her and Honerva sacrificing themselves to reboot the universe.

In a really touching moment, Allura says goodbye to all the paladins and gives a farewell kiss to Lance (also giving him Altean cheek marks). she then goes off into a bright light with Honerva, where they join up with their deceased families.

Lego Batman: “Uh, I’m not crying! you’re crying!”

The pladins then awaken back in their own reality with the Atlas and lions separated, and the Blue Lion empty. Everything is back how it was, with the exception that Altea and the Galra home world are no longer destroyed (Allura took some creative liberties with the reboot).

Flash forward to one year later and Keith is addressing all Galra (and is space wolf is huge!), telling them that the need to stop all this hostility and start putting that energy towards peace. Over on the Atlas, Hunk is hosting a diplomatic dinner, using his cooking to broker peace between three warring alien races (with Shay and Romelle on his cooking staff). Meanwhile, one earth Pidge and Sam are putting together a Robot named Chip (obviously based on the Vehicle Force character) when her mother tells her that a warp is ready for her. Lastly, Lance is on Altea, telling a bunch of school children about how Allura saved all of reality in front of a huge statue of her.

That evening all the Paladins, with Shiro and Coran, meet together for a dinner at the base of Allura‘s statue, to catch up with each other and reminiscing about Allura. Later that night all the lions light up and blast off into space on their own.

The episode ends with a photo of the group at the statue, which transitions to another photo of them all together at the same spot many years later.

Pidge: “Aww, alt universe me grew up to be a real cutie!”

It’s then followed by captioned shot of what everyone went on to do:

Hunk: “I would so totally watch this version of Vehicle Force!”

Allura: “Heck, I’d even watch a Hunk Based sci-fi action cooking show!”

Lance: “Not sure if i would be down for a Lance based slice of life on a farm...”

Keith: “Coming to Netflix: ‘Krolia: Political Space Mom’!”

Sven: “Woo! tubes of green food goo for everyone!”

Lego Batman: “That’s not Keith, who the heck is this guy?!” Hunk: “I think he was on the Atlas bridge? Maybe had a couple of lines?”

Finally, there is a post credits shot of the lions heading for an Allura shaped nebula.

Allura: “I am your god now! Bring me your lions!”

So that’s Voltron, a great end to a great series!

Now, what’s with this new she-ra...
