maybe in the 90's to 2010's. Welp MAYBE 2010's cuz idk why not. The timeline is complicated and I wanna try to fix it to make it easier to explain.

I wanna explain more so lemme explain tho-

We gotta remember that Krupp's trauma took place in 1985 (age 10) since the traumatic event and things were getting worse til in his mid-40s (2019. Well possibly almost like in the 2010's to be exact-) and maybe that's where the whole "sick fucked up murderous principal (villain) role" starts kicking it cuz we gotta keep in mind this whole bloody childhood au and the tbgdotgp au are CONNECTED because of the timeline and parts of the BC au has more explanation and details about the timeline and information before the present. (Get it? Past to present jokes, No? Alri-)

The reason I'm rambling about it so much is because again since the AU's lore is VERY LONG and it's treated like a cringy series it has its parts similar to seasons except in the dumbest way yet maybe intriguing and may have something to do with each timeline/event. For example, if the whole gruesome event started in 2019 (late or mid "2010's" idfk), season 2 is supposed to focus on the AU sequel (TBGDOTGP II: "Bloody Summer", and other dumb unshowed sequels/saga ideas, etc.) and you know the rest. Just like a spin-off or whatever you call those. We all know what's gonna happen LMAO

This goes to other characters involved cuz half of them were part of the childhood (in the 90's). Some were present and never had the chance to know why he acted the way he did (for example: Edith & Moxie, or George and Harold)

Everything may take place in those years and possibly it was set for the 2010's cuz again. The whole villain role may started in that year BEFORE the gruesome disaster started- ‼️‼️🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥

sansan prompt list - MBD edition

This is just a little personal thing to throw down some ideas I have for creative endeavors based around SanSan using themes/lyrics from my favorite band Murder By Death. Normally I would just write this type of thing down in my idea journal but I also thought that others might be interested in some of the themes/ideas these songs inspire. I will always talk up this band to friends in the hopes they’ll enjoy and support them, and there are a few songs in particular that give me major SanSan feels. I guess technically, more songs give me Sandor feels, but I wouldn’t have those feels without SanSan, so here we are! There are even a song or two that match Sandor and Arya’s dynamic (not included, but one is called Piece by Piece, and it’s a Rly Good Song). I’ll put the rest under a read more, as I’m about to get incredibly rambly. and also song lyrics take up a lot of space. Feel free to get creative using any of these prompts too, if you so desire!

Before the song/lyric/prompt list, let me just explain you a MBD thing since they’re a huge creative inspiration and influence to me, as well as amazing musicians and story tellers through their music. Plus I’ve had the pleasure of seeing ‘em a bunch of times, and they’re some really rad down to earth individuals. (this is not a sponsored post I just really love this band wow.)

💀Murder By Death, or MBD as we’ll call them from here on, is a five piece “American Indie Rock Band” out of Bloomington, IN. However, my favorite musical genre description for them is “Gothic Folk Brooding Americana” ;3 Their sound is difficult to narrow down to a mere description, so I won’t get too into it, but what I want to focus on here is the song writing. At least a few of their albums are concept albums with coherent storylines or themes. Their second studio album *Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them? released in 2003, and was their first concept album however I am omitting it from this list as the themes aren’t really as relevant for this list, and their sound/style was not quite found yet at this point. It’s a really cool album though.*lmao had to make an edit here cuz i mixed up the title

In Bocca Al Lupo

A concept album with the themes of sin, punishment, guilt, and redemption. (HMMMMMMM SOUNDS SUSPICIOUSLY FAMILIAR...) Despite those Very Relevant Themes, I won’t be using too many of these songs for my list, but there are definite Sandor feels throughout this album.

In the first song, Boy Decide ;

There are other songs that could definitely fit as well, but honestly my main feel with this album is just the title itself. In Bocca Al Lupo is an Italian phrase that literally translates to “into the mouth of the wolf” and is used as a kind of “good luck”. It is most fortunate our dear Sandor has found himself in the mouth(s?) of wolves, I think. ;3

Red of Tooth and Claw

I don’t think this album is technically considered one of their concept albums, but it is the album that gives me the most SanSan feels, so I’m voting it in as an honorary. It’s also one of my favorites so the bias is there. I could probably just literally post entire songs and it could be an entire theme itself, but I’m going to try and keep it shorter and only post the lyrics that really get my creative juices goin’ (ew)

Ash will do this playfully from time to time, but it doesn’t really spark anything out of it. Giran will just give her a look and she’ll end up kissing him and then it leads to affection XD or she’s tossing it at him when he’s being extra or she’s annoyed aijef;oiejawef

It really depends on the day! Ash sleeps a lot, but she is also a night owl. Giran sometimes can’t stay up with her, but if he’s been busy/out most of the day and gets home late, he’ll usually find her asleep in bed. Or just about to fall asleep when he joins her, and he will stare at her for a few minutes before he falls asleep.

Ash! This woman is not only impatient but she fucking loves sweets. Giran does this every time, even if it’s just like sitting down for take out. If he wants to have a romantic dinner with his wife, he’s going to pick up candles just to set the mood. And it makes Ash really flustered.

They did indeed say in book 1 Mal's dad was a human guy- as its why her mother scorns her a lot, as shes half-human and therefore called pathetic a lot as shes not fully fae basically- or whatever term descendants wants to use, I just like fae a bit more- so you are correct about the Hades possibly being her dad thing, its not only now breaking books canon if they decide 'wait no her dads not human, hes a god' but its also really a big question why MAL needs to be Hades daughter, Evie has more potential to be his daughter and yet, Mal needs to be his daughter apparently? She has enough power, thanks, she doesn't need to be a demi-goddess next.

Tbh, in reference to the Hades thing again, im praying hes not teaming up against Mal cause of relations, cause I'm still questioning why the GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD is in on a plan against Mal when I thought his beef would be with Hercules if anything, lmao.

Also in the books Hades has a son named Hadie so is he getting the boot if Mal becomes Hades big-powerful child or just Mal's half sister suddenly- just- the books have set up a lot at least with Mals family that it feels wrong if they do the Mal's dad is Hades route.

But yes, I do have a bunch of issues tbh- not only the Hades thing- tbh Hades being in descendants in general is a issue for me but that's another post at this point as it refers to the Hercules movie- but also the fact that we have no idea if the others are even having plots, they suddenly graduating despite the fact that they 14 and 16 in film 1/book 1- Ben 15 before 16- and the timeskip in D2 doesn't provide them enough time to age to graduating age which im assuming is 18-19- and leading on from this, THE BIGGEST IMPLICATION AS A RESULT-, the VKs have been trapped on the Isle for possibly more then a year now if the VKs are only NOW graduating- just, we meant to like these people when they left innocent children on the Isle for more then a year now possibly despite saying they'd help them? Fuck that, just, fuck that- oh and the obvious one, THE FACT THAT THE BOOKS PLOT AGAIN REVOLVES AROUND MAL.

The entire plot revolves around fucking Mal- Uma and Hades are only teaming up cause revenge on Mal and the one final hint in the plot of the book is explosive battle between Mal and Uma- just- what are our other characters even doing between this?! Cheering on Mal or some shit?

Its literally like you just said, after books 1 and 2, they fail to give Jay, Evie and Carlos any focus on their characters in total, they just accessories to Mal at this point and that's saddening, cause we in the third movie but does Jay change much in the movies? I mean, he doesn't change much in designs and his brother-mode is only shown when it comes to Mal, but not the others when the four are like family- Evie? Despite having a science arc in D1, she's back to fashion and that's about it and pretty much is Mal's accessory too now, same for Carlos as all we know is he does tech, loves dogs, liked Jane and essentially that's it, despite being the most implied abused VK, that's never focused on again and we back to Mal yelling at him in D2 basically cause he didn't wanna return to the Isle and we meant to feel sorry for her and somehow not Carlos.

Sadly with how Escape seems to be making Uma a villain with Hades, I doubt we'll get much good focus in Escape at least, and D3 is giving me hives if they make Mal and Uma friends and have UMA say sorry when Mals the one that should be sorry if anything- but we can pray for D3 to give us the only content some of us are coming for really.

I meaaannnn......lets see: Jay is played by Booboo Stewart, who has from his mothers side: Japanese, Chinese and Korean while from his father he gets, Scottish, Russian and Native American heritage- Evie is played by Sofia Carson, who is off Spanish heritage while Carlos is played by Cameron Boyce, who is mixed race from his father being descended off African-American and Afro-Caribbean descendent while his mother, while white, is Jewish- which led to Cruella being made black to go with Carlos being mixed race too- while Dove who plays Mal....is white.....not only gets all the storylines and powers, but also Uma and Audrey, played by African-American actresses, are her enemies that she constantly wins over- just.....makes you thinnnkkk......

Also to end this cause this answer is already long: Mal apparently needs more then one story.....when D2 just made me hate her more and D3 wont help it, lmao.

So I’m going to start this update off by saying I’m really sorry for being so absent on here as of late, and most importantly, missing two weeks of DtWT posts.

Writing has not been going so well, to be honest, lol. I’ve been hit with a serious case of writer’s block, and it’s been quite the struggle to get past it. Writer’s block is something that I usually just have to tough out because for me, it’s not based off fear or lack of ideas, it’s based off simply not being able to write. I’ll give you some good news, though! Even though I haven't updated you guys, I have still been hitting my goal of 250 words (or close to there) pretty much every day. I’d like to chat about writer’s block at some point because I know it’s controversial for some!

In conclusion, I’ve been struggling to write and get into the swing of things and get past this beginning for the entirety of November, pretty much, and I think I finally sort of made some progress.

Before I get into this update, though, quick thanks to @sarahkelsiwrites​ for being a literal star and hearing the worst of this creative block, and for brainstorming with me and listening to me and for being really supportive for the last while. Aaaand, also to @shaelinwrites​ because bless that new Pereidolia update for giving me all the writing inspiration, seriously needed that! (seriously would not have written anything today without it lolol)

Songs played: No songs, but can we sit down and chat for a second, lol. In my last update, I mentioned Music From Before the Storm which is Daughter’s latest album. This album is the soundtrack to the second game in this series, Life Is Strange and lol. Did I find a gem right here. I found out about Life Is Strange a really long time ago, but only decided to pick up the second one (Before The Storm) because Daughter wrote its soundtrack and I loved the album so much. WHAT A GEM. I’m not a video game person anymore :( but this game is so excellent, what a recommend. I played game 2 before 1 because I wasn't sure if I’d like it and that’s the one with the Daughter soundtrack, and also because it’s a prequel. Beat that in like 3 days (except for episode three which is yet to be released), and now @sarahkelsiwrites​ and I are working on episode two of the first game. Mentioning this here a) because this album is great and b) because this game is also great and gave me hope to cling onto when I was an existential ball of angst.

Things to know: A lot of this scene came out of literally nowhere? I wasn't expecting the words I wrote, to say the least. I actually wrote the first 200 words of this scene a couple days ago, didn't like it, angsted about it for a bit, changed a couple things, and voila now there is no reason to angst.

How I felt: Scared that my writing would fail at any moment of any second because I’m not used to things working out so well for such an extended period of time, haaaaaa angst.

I’m going to do a really spontaneous thing and just share some things that need some editing loool:

His breaths are heavy, panting, but he’s looking straight at me, eyes bleak and tired, but wild and scattered. He is exhausted, yet turbulent. Like the polymorphic combination of two opposite elements.  

does polymorphic work in this context idk definitely probably used that word wrong lol

Like mine, her hair has grown out considerably since the last time she hacked at it with scissors. But instead of falling past her shoulders in a few chunks here and there, it puffs up around her head like a cloud of static chaos. Her skin looks like mine too, pale and marked with exhausted fingerprints, but with the addition of a scratch across her cheek and the haggard stamp of a palm against her jaw. She, like the boy next to her is exhausted, yet turbulent, but there isn’t anything poetic about the delirious flicker in her eye.

I meaaannnn besides that wordiness I meaaaannn I guess I sorta get that point (I wrote these last week I believe).

Harrison’s got both arms secured around her waist, fingers stamped deep into the fabric of her t-shirt. His head is tipped down so his chin meets her forehead, the two eased into one another like they’ve always meant to combine. Her hands crawl up from under his arms, and hug onto his shoulders, rather than slinging around his neck like my mom used to do to my dad. Her head rests against his chest, and the two sway back and forth as a song that sounds straight from the 60s waltzes through the speakers.

I like that the music is waltzing through the speakers I will give myself that.

I would say I don’t know what happened to Harrison, what happened to his ability to forgive, but I do. I happened, Lonan happened, Foster happened, he happened. Everything, like a collective flood of hate strode up to him, and when someone walks into the eye of a storm like that, it’s almost impossible to emerge unscathed.

It wasn’t much. Just a few frames of gold and blur, where her fingers brushed back my hair, and her knee supported my neck. She sung a few notes of a tune her and Dad used to listen to, pulled the comb through the length of my hair. I can’t tell if the dream with my mother was a memory or the desire for one, but when I woke up, there was this ache for her that for once, didn’t feel like a bullet to the chest. I woke up feeling like I’d actually slept, and not like my bones had taken advantage of me through the night in some sick game of trauma.

can I actually describe things as blur tho is that an appropriate adjective... my life is angst and blur. yes.

So yes. These paragraphs all require editing and are literally unedited first drafts, so hopefully by the time I edit, I can tighten up some of these ideas. Editing and this book have been really strange for me because I’ve needed tons of time away from the scene to be able to really sit down and fix it up... Not entirely what I go for in writing/editing, but for now, while I’m working really slowly, I guess it’s working alright!
