I barely know anything of fgo, but what is this deal with gudako and gudao? Aren't they the same character who functions as a kind of self insert for the player?

Same character but different gender. And like every gacha Fandom, majority prefers Female MC over Male MC regardless.

Genshin has it worst with Lumine fans harassing Aether fans on wanting attention on official art and even shipping with male characters, vice versa.

FGO here, I've only seen old fgo HC/Scenario writers getting harassed by anons for writing Male Readers OOC or generally don't want them to write Male-insert readers.... Hence some stop writing for that gender insert or immediately quit Tumblr from the harassment

It's more of preference who do you want to play more as for the story as you said. And I don't like the fans just harassing artists or writers who write for Gudao when they should write for Gudako because it's waifu, everyone should love her, and male MC will always steal spotlight, etc.

To be honest where they are really blind, when pairing male characters, everyone immediately pairs male character/unit with female MC. And they don't bat an eye or enjoy when female MC is paired with female characters

But when Male units paired with Male MCs, it's immediate harassment. Either fetishize of ship or cockblocking of male unit/male unit ship.

I can see and don't like straight ships being harassed, but harassing gay ships but not lesbian ships is just hypocrite of full homophobic to gay than lesbian

I'm tired and I envy they don't suffer this harassment. I just want to write and hope to see more people who like bottom Gudao. It may not be the insert or the MC they envisioned... But don't shit on others who prefers Gudao more. You ask us to create our own content for male MC and we did, however, you called and harass others who do so.

I'm pretty sure I'm going off the topic and this can be one-sided.... And its more of my own fic I'm writing, hence the frustration of this... Because I want to feed myself and others who are also interested, for the things that we like and make us happy
