rewatched the original russian retj recording. it's waaaay gayer than I remember it being 🤨

(without you) life is worse than hell and bitter than poison' towards mercutio is 🔥#AND THE CLEAR REMORSE AND HORROR ON TYBALTS FACE WHEN HE REALISED WHAT HE'S DONE 💯💯💯#THE WAY HE BROKE DOWN AND SHOUTED 'I DID NOT WANT TO DO IT (TO HIM)'#excellent. love it. would like to see more tybalt interpretations that are similar to that :'D#and as someone who watched a ridiculous amount of retj productions I must say that#not all productions decide to convey tybalt's conflicting emotions regarding mercutio as clear as russian one did.#like. only in the end he realises that despite their constant fighting he in fact cared about him. deeply.#so it makes sense why he accepted death from Romeo's hand THAT easily 👍✨
