a/n: hi anon!! i loved writing for this request sm so thank u for sending it <3 i did, however, completely forget to write abt the part about them taking the bath together. im so sorry 😭 but i hope u still enjoy :(( about one spider-man kiss and a ton of domestic!peter

peter knows exactly what he needs right now after a long day. 

there’s only one thing in the world that could make up for having a shitty day and that’s you. 

but unfortunately for peter, when he patters into your shared apartment, you’re nowhere to be found.

“babe?” he calls out. 

he strips himself of his shoes and walks down the short hall to your bedroom, only to find the closet open and your work clothes missing. peter skrinks at your absence and pouts, “great.”

he ponders about taking a nap, but it’s a quarter to nine and he’d rather be awake when you arrive home. 

when his stomach growls, he realizes he’s gone almost an entire day without a proper meal, save for the granola bar you shoved in his hand before he kissed you goodbye. 

as he enters the kitchen, he finds a note left on the counter, scribbled in your handwriting,

“emergency shift at the hospital, back by 9 tonite. food in the fridge, love you!”

peter frowns at your note, sticks it onto the fridge, and pulls out the meal you prepared for him.

he heats up the food and chews the stale chicken slowly. he really misses you. even with your bland food and lack of seasoning, he still enjoys anything from you. you try your best for him. 

when he’s finished cleaning his dishes, peter debates on showering. he wants to wait for you, to take a nice hot shower with you, and clean each other’s stress away. but he’s really stinky from work, and he’d rather just go to bed with you. so he undresses and takes a long shower alone.

peter’s prayers are answered when he reenters the shared bedroom dressed in pajamas. 

“hi baby,” you chirp. you take off your glasses and set the book you were reading aside. 

peter’s heart swells at the sight. you’re laying on your side of the bed, hair in a bun, away from your face. you’re dressed in your boyfriend’s plaid boxers and a geeky t-shirt you stole from his dresser.

the tv is playing some rerun of your favorite tv show as he crawls himself across the bed and plops himself in between your open legs. 

peter nests his heavy head upon your pelvis and lets out a deep sigh. your palms run down his clad back, kneading the tense muscles.

“did you eat yet?” he tries to nod his head, “yea, chicken was good, super tasty, thanks, y/n/n” he replies.

he may or not be telling you the whole truth. you’re cooking wasn’t amazing, but he would never tell you that. 

peter flips himself over, staring at you adoringly upside down. your soft hands trace his buff arms, comfort spreading throughout his skin from your touch, “what happened today, petey?”

he exhales, furrowing his brows, and squeezes his eyes shut. he juts his bottom lip out while you weave your fingers and pull through his damps locks. 

“everything went wrong today. everything,” he takes a deep breath, “i was late for biochem, had a pop quiz for psych. not that it was hard but still. i forgot i had tutoring today too, so i'm out fifteen bucks. and we were understaffed for work, so that was a bust. so many mean customers in queens,” he takes a look at you, “we should move somewhere else.”

you snicker at his comment and slide your fingers over his funky left eyebrow, smoothing out the knit and massaging his temples, “yea, like where?” 

you love all versions of peter, but you think this is your favorite. relaxed at your touch, devoting himself wholeheartedly to you. he’s embraced and fully engulfed by you, like putty in your hands. 

“like,” your boyfriend seems distracted, voice deep, staring at you with nothing but affection, “sunnyside? maybe?” peter licks his lips and clears his throat, “just somewhere safer, nicer. for you.”

you’re beaming down at his face; your warm hands cup his cheeks while you land a long and overdue tender kiss upside down. you feel peter smile into the kiss, exhaling through his nose in contentment. 

you keep your hands on his face and gently caress the soft skin as you pull away.

“that sounds nice,” your heart squeezes at the thought as he continues, “we could settle down there, have a family, you know? white picket fence and all. ‘m picturing you in your hot scrubs, bringin’ home the bacon. and i’ll be at home, taking care of the kids.” 

you’re giggling at the scene as you chime in, “and we could have family dinners every saturday night, or- ooh! i could take yoga classes sunday mornings and-”

peter snickers at you, “what you need are some cooking classes.”

then you'd continue your day, playing card games, watching something on prismo's tv..

just three (or four, when finn joined in) friends hanging out.

he isn't. you're sure he's gonna tell at least five people the moment you're away.

but u decide on trusting him, and letting him setup the date between you and prismo.

a few days pass, and before you know, prismo had sent you a note,

how could you refuse him?

so you took a shower, dressed up, and went to the time cube.

as you got there, you couldn't help but notice the following scenery:

first, a table. in the middle of the cube, a table with scented candles, your favorite scent.

a chair, only one, prismo himself didn't need it.

the lights were dimly lit. weird.

"wishmaster?", you called out.

and there he was.

the figure of his curly hair looked slicked back, mostly on Jake's advice, and you were all for it.

i mean, yeah.. slicked back hair is ugly, but you like him. and he tried.

"hey. sit, wont you?"

you heard music in the background.

you bite back a scoff, impressed at how terrible-in-a-good-way he was at matchmaking.

you walked up closer, sat on the chair as you rested your elbow on the table, prismo's figure being across from you.

talk goes, talk comes, and it's noticeable how much he complimented you during that afternoon.

from saying your outfit looks good to saying you look good.

and you'd smile. that pretty smile he just loved seeing on your perfect lips.

all he wanted was to take up a human form and just smooch.

and he'd ask you to be his, right then and there.

but he didn't even know how you felt.

and you knew how he felt, because the room reeked of your favorite scent, and it had such a romantic atmosphere, music playing in the background, and it'd remind you of those times where jake would partner up finn and some girl he'd fallen for.

which made you imagine prismo struggling to learn his advice, and it made you smile more.

would it be wrong to just.. wish for him to become your boyfriend?

you decide on ignoring that thought.

as your little date continued on, casual conversation as always, prismo became more and more nervous.

how he'd stutter and look to the side as he spoke..

"and what's with the new hairstyle?" you smiled as you asked.

"just.. changing things every once in a while. what'd you think?" the male almost died when you pointed it out, it being just another reason for how nervous he was, unsure if you'd even look his way in any kind of light, let alone thinking he looked good.

"its nice." you chuckle.

"so.. are you.. single?"

the way you looked at him, confused, made him want to immediately back away.

"yeah. you know that."

"right... haha.."

it's awkward, and he doesn't know what to say.

"hm.. so... would you go on a date with me sometime?"

and it's then that he knows how you feel about him, because you wouldn't put it so nicely if you didn't like him back.

then he'd get a little more confident, the conversation would flow better on.

by some time, you got straight to the point before he could - he was winding it so much

"you like me, right?", you said it jn a way you could change the direction quickly if he'd say no.

only if, because as soon as you say it, he goes

OKAY quick event talk<3 (it was not quick)

bitter no1 thought, narmaya feeling constantly sidelined forced smile. naru getting hurt protecting thalassa & going 'dont worry im fine:]' is fine on its own, but in the bigger picture of the event...grrrrrrr cygames u need one more person on event checking still

anyway i thought naru keeping the danchou-chan, meaning she ended up saying danchou-chan-zeki while seofon dropped the -chan and jsut went danchou-zeki was a nice detail:') icarus is nice, i like him. tweyens constant 'seofon looks like hes having fun' made me a bit emotional pien. great to see kyuta again. tefnut go girl give us nothing(positive). the part where she was eating but it was raziel who had made the chanko,,,raziels constant 'did u call:DDD' 'no' + her introduction oh u r soooooo endearing LOL liked the lil abramelin part, thought of how ofc grans gonna be a bit sad thinking about it. having thalassa constantly in her mermaid form was great, although we r circling back to bitter no1 thought. i thought the flashbacks to weapon skills (like rage, phalanx) was sooo cuteT_T + seeing the different job outfits was fun. um. idk what to say about the new art KBJBJKADBJKDBJKAD....????????????????????? did not expect that

i probably wont go indepth with it tonite, but when seofon & tweyen first said they were going to see raiden & the whole 'we have to see if its a danger to the sky or not' aspect.......gran who Gets it, but also as someone who Was seen as an enemy of the sky i think they immediately feels very defensive about it....? on a personal level...? when its someone they hung out with before...? they wont discredit the suspicion seeing the circumstances + its the eternals, but.... did like wilnas telling raiden than him dying wouldnt solve anything, cuz tameemon would just possess his body or whatever instead.

💛: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why? Ah there it is. Pandora's box. The Atom Bomb. It's Fitzier. You know it's Fitzier, I know it's Fitzier, we all know it's Fitzier. So here I will air my grievances. Because listen. Canon stuff? I love that shit. I eat that subtext up for breakfast. I cry about the cairn scene just like anyone else and it really is such a sacred scene to the show and I'm always going to be in love with it. It's really wonderful how well Francis and James' relationship holds up a mirror and a beautiful foil to Hickey and Gibson and in more of a queerplatonic way that I really deeply admire David Kajganish for putting all of this thought work into this series because it is so vital to the deconstruction of colonialist ideas that the historical event represents, not to mention the modern day implications on masculinity, and really pays homage to the gothic literary subtextual queer men who came before them. My main issues with it are how fanon has spun it into the end-all be-all of queer romance (which I've always been chronically allergic to since. forever), and admittedly (obviously) I'm a little bit more biased towards Francis in a way that is against a lot of the tropes that folks tend to spin in fitzier fics and art that I just can't get behind.

And before I go further, I want to preface the rest of what I'm about to say with this, because I know I have a lot of friends, mutuals, and followers who do ship it and I want them to know that this isn't reflective of them and that what I say I should hope to only be taken as pissing in the wind : because the world is hard enough to fucking live through right now as it is, and finding joy in anything they can is what I want for everyone. This one just isn't for me tho, and that's ok. But I've been given the opportunity to be a hater publicly and you will pry that out of my cold dead hands. Like ok. The main issue I have though is that I just want nice things for Francis, ok? James always gets all the emotional attention in this pairing and I'm sat here like... Emotional support for Francis, king? Mutual love and support during the breakdown of identity for Francis? Attentions to Francis' oppression as an irish man living in victorian england tonite??? Like. Call me crazy but I think he deserves to be with someone who doesn't fundamentally misunderstand him from the outset, someone who can still challenge him of course, and can challenge him in a lot of ways that he hasn't considered being challenged before, but still with an undercurrent of love beneath it, and someone he can be outwardly affectionate with as a result (because I KNOW he's capable of that). Like fighting for each other with love, rather than being outright antagonistic the way James is with him (and then subsequently the way it is woobified into enemies to lovers hate sex tropes. which again, sure. fine. can be fun sometimes. but. I'm sorry I have more wholesome gothic romance tastes in my own writing I guess. and that I also want better things for Francis. like. having sex with someone who isn't going to call him daddy or hates him. Like sorry has anyone -other than blanky of course- made him guffaw with laughter? made him comfortable enough to be truly honest with himself and raw and emotionally vulnerable? where he's not *just* giving someone else space to do that? that's what he deserves to me, and this ship just ain't hitting. case closed.)

And there are TONS of others, a lot of which were pondered at the behest of the no longer with us kittensmctavish (RIP, but their fics are still on ao3 and I cannot recommend them enough), but we were talking a lot about a really cool Irving/Gibson canon re-write concept at one point that I thought was really neat and I still think about it every now and again.
