Sparks Colony Tour

Season One Finale

Sparks is the first colony that Mechi built from the ground up, and likely holds a special place in his heart. However, it's now time to pass the torch to his brothers while he sets off for the next leg of his journey.

Before he leaves with his away team to seek The Archonexus, how about one last look around the place for old times' sake?

Sparks is situated in an out-of-the-way peninsula called Point Fleascale, in an arid shrubland that Mechi hoped would be sparsely populated. He was not so lucky.

To the northwest of the main colony (the house in the centre) you can see our newest outpost, Delsuston, where our former prisoners Metan and Pegasius are enjoying a lovely coastal retreat in the ocular forest. It's good for them.

To the north is our first outpost at Arwell, where blind healer Melissa and Man in Black XiaoLiang spent most of their time. Hopefully, the gang there will continue to send valuable things for Tokori, Lansa, Melissa, XiaoLiang and Flapjack to use for a long time to come.

Out eastwards is the second of our outposts, Arno. This is where Flapjack resided, and where Jut stayed for a little while before being called back.

Here is the main overview of the colony (again). It's a bit of a funky shape because you never know when you might need an uninhibited anima tree, so we're always careful to build around it.

This is lovingly referred to as "the main block", and is where our colonists spend the majority of their time. It is a nice oasis of greenery in the sandy shrubland, which Mechi and Co. are very proud of.

We have a well-secured containment facility for our captured entities, right next to our hospital, in case of any mishaps with such horrifying creatures. In the bottom left corner is our nicely decorated psychic ritual spot, with a classy fountain plaza beside.

Our farms grow a mix of animal food, medicinal herbs, tinctoria, food to shove in the paste dispenser, and (most importantly) coffee. The kitchen is an unimpressive affair, with the paste dispenser and the coffee machine being the only particularly interesting things there. We also have a bathroom and a small recreational room (formerly Mechi and Kwahu's bedroom), with Alistair's room over beside the cucumber patch on the right.

Here's where the magic happens! There are laboratories, workshops, a temple, a throne room, a prison cell with a ripscanner, and even some well-appointed bedrooms worthy of royalty.

The main laboratory is right beside the prison, overlooking it so we could decide if we needed any high subcores soon. It's equipped with a fabrication bench that Alistair uses almost nonstop, a research table that is never without a Jones boy, and lots of useful mechanitor gadgets and gizmos, such as mech gestators and rechargers. Next door is our storeroom, which provides easy access whenever we want to make new mechanoids.

The Jones boys sleep all together in one room. Mechi is in the double bed on the left, with Lansa sleeping in the single bed beside it. Kwahu and Tokori sleep on the other side of the room. They share the space with Charlotte the munchkin cat and Othello the Great Dane.

The pink bedroom at the top is where Ivy and her persian cat, Prudence, sleep. Ivy also has a private bathroom.

To the right you can see our temple with Mechi and Kwahu's throne room/Lansa's old tomb above it. It is a very fancy and regal place for Mechi and Kwahu to meditate and engage in royal gossip when the mood strikes them.

After a void-provocation-ritual-gone-wrong, a grief-stricken Mechi built a house for his (presumed) dead family. It has everything from a kitchen/dining area, a cozy living room complete with air hockey, a tasteful bedroom for his parents, a spacious bathroom, and a room designed especially for the beloved sister he assumes he will never see again. There's even an outdoor grill and picnic table!

Sometimes—very rarely—we let guests sleep in here if there are no more beds available. Mechi tries to avoid that whenever possible, though.

To the side of the 'main block' we have our killbox, which has served us well enough and will hopefully do the same for those we leave behind. Also pictured is one of our several water treatment/storage facilities to help provide for all the bathrooms, hot tubs, and even the swimming pool that Sparks has.

South of the 'main block' is our cemetery, the void monolith, and one of our two geothermal generators. Mechi and Kwahu used to meditate at the graves in the cemetery before they got a throne room, so they are very well acquainted with it, as well as with the monolith which they study at every opportunity. Nerds.

Moving away from the 'main block' we have our outdoor recreation area, with a pool, a telescope, some chess tables, and horseshoe pins for anyone to use. For those with tastes geared to indoor entertainment, we have our hot-tub room and private cinema, ready to help you relax and unwind after a long day fighting off raids and witnessing horrors from the Void.

Welcome to The Jones Brothers’ Point Fleascale Hotel and Casino! It's still under construction as we add some royal suites to the lineup, but there's plenty of beds and a fully functional bar. Feel free to enjoy some drinks, play some arcade games, slip into the back room for a game or three of poker, or just unwind and watch the tv by the bar. What more could you ask for?

Right beside our hotel is the toxic wastepack storage room, which I'm sure doesn't violate any safety codes or business legislation at all. Behind the waste facility is our second geothermal generator, and also the grave of Mechi's beloved first dog, Brandy. Rest in Peace, best girl 💔

Finally, we have the trade spot and the monument Kwahu had to build in order to make Ivy his heiress.

It's been a delight living here and seeing Sparks built from the ground up, but it's time to go now. The Archonexus awaits!

Is everybody packed? We've got coffee, bedrolls, silver, medicine, the bible Kwahu wrote and all the yaoi Ivy could carry, and some hemogen to tide Jut over. Alistair even remembered to grab the teddy bear that Ivy gave him!

A LOVE LETTER TO QSMPBLR

I saw my mutuals write those and decided that I also want to say a few words.

My whole life I loved being part of the communities. I’ve been heavily into fandoms since I was 10, and now 12 years later I can firmly state that QSMPblr community is definitely in my personal top 3 of all the fandoms I have been in.

It’s been such a fun and emotional and thrilling journey with so many ups and downs and I would never refuse to repeat it all over again. I met so many wonderful and incredible people because of this server that I can’t thank the universe enough.

All of my mutuals and followers made most of my 2023 so happy, and continue to do so in 2024, and I really need this joy with everything that happens outside the community itself.

And I am so elated and a bit surprised for how many of you I became one of the favorites blogs here. I mean, I jumped from barely 150 followers to around 820 since september, and it’s all thanks to having so much fun liveblogging and theorizing with all of you.

Despite everything, I think Purgatory 1 was my favorite ever time period here. Yes, there was a lot of frustration and negativity but I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a comradery as back then, with my fellow Soulfire mains. I was in the post limit jail every single day, because I just could not stop chatting with all of you and reblogging incredible posts.

I also hold very dearly the moment, where Bad showed Tubbo the Soulfire Base Recreation. But the main reason is not even that this happened, but the fact that so many people on tumblr, in dms and even in Bad’s chat were LOOKING FOR ME, because they knew how much I’ve waited for that to happen. It was just so heartwarming to wake up to dozens of messages and mentions. I struggle with ‘nobody really cares if i am here or not’ syndrome a lot, so it made my day to see that people do.

I also want to say special thanks to some of you (even though each and single one of you deserve a separate paragraph). Under the cut:

Last Meal Universe's main pair actors, Gun Napat and Ritz Rueangrit. An introduction by me.

They made their debuts on The Star Season 6, a singing competition (Yes, the one that Mile Phakphum went to and got teased about.) produced by Exact, one of the companies under GMM Grammy (The GMMTV that we all on this side of Tumblr familiar with is under it too, as you can see in the name), back in 2010. After winning the competition in the first (Gun) and second (Ritz) place, they both remain in the entertainment industry as singers, actors, and hosts of shows to this day.

Right now, Gun's current main career path lies in music (there was a time when I found his voice annoying because my mom repeatedly played his song, but admittedly, he is a great singer) and drama, while Ritz's lies in business (his clinics) and content creator (the main platform being YouTube). It seems like the non-clinics-related jobs he accepts are usually considered based on his personal relationship. He once said that his activities in the entertainment industry are more of a recreational activity rather than a real job.

They accepting the role in After Sundown together in 2023. Later, they also started a YouTube series, เพื่อนยาก (no sub), together. The first episode was posted on Jan 2024. And now, they have the Last Meal Universe.

I think they also have the same manager? (Khun June?)

In 2010, Ritz(19) and Gun(19) first met each other on The Star 6 after passing in to the last twenty two persons round and are in the process of being eliminated to the last eight persons. Among the last eight competitors, Gun, Ritz, and the other person, Tono (23), became a friend group of three that still sticks to this day.

Ritz and Tono have known each other since the Northeast sector round. From what they say, they kind of lace on to each other as they are the only candidates who are there without family or friends and then adopt Gun into their fold upon meeting him. After, they lived under the same roof for around 3 months during the competition.

These three go by the name Asorrapit(Poisonous Snake) after (if my knowledge is correct) a name Tono pick for a team they divided into for activities in The Star House. There are two teams, Poisonous Snake and Blooming Lotus, with four people in each. The other person in Poisonous Snake got eliminated early (and I think he then went to study abroad), while Gun, Ritz, and Tono won first, second, and third, respectively, and still, to this day, work with Exact (now The ONE Enterprise).

At first, they worked together quite frequently, but as time went on, the jobs they did together became few and far between. Their last concert together is the 10 year Asorrapit GunRitNo show in 2020.

Other than concerts, they also did photo shoots, small music gigs, game shows, be the guesses on The Star later season, and other TV shows together (all three, or just two out of the three).

Their fans are pretty considerate of their favorite's friend and sometimes would bring extra gifts for the other in the case that they work together. (Ritz's fanclub would bring Gun a gift, or vice versa.)

In the beginning, between them, the BIG ship was actually TonoRitz and not GunRitz (or TonoGun) as someone who casually watched The Star and was at the beginning of my shipper day (not an RPF enjoyer), I knew the other ship was probably out there and that's all, turned out it was very much there.

TonoRitz is many's first ship, but later, as time passed, the ship was downsized (sunken?) since they didn't work together that frequently anymore. Also, Tono was very publicly extremely in love with his girlfriend.

In their 2020 concert, they have Tono's girlfriend as a guess, and at the same concert, Gun and Ritz play a musical parody of ITSAY together. It is clear that, among the trio, Tono is the one who won't enjoy kissing his friends to make fans' screams. Not that they didn't ask if he would want to join them still🤣

Gun and Ritz did say that they wanted to play a BL series then (seemingly very jokingly). Consider that they are now actually playing one. They are probably more serious about it than I think.

Come to think of it, in 2022, Gun did also play a somewhat bl role in Moo 2 (a kind of stand-up comedy mix with stage play), paired with Non Tanon. And Ritz was in the Love Mechanics as Mark's ex that year too.

Some other thing about them

When Ritz was still a medical student (Bachelor's degree), Ritz's fan club would buy him ten baht-gold per one A he got. One baht-gold back then was around 20,000 baht. He is a good student, so he makes quite a few million baht. De - Talk EP.20 He is now a holder of a master's degree. (Yes, they buy him gold for any A he gets during his studies for the master degree too.)

ใช่สิ (Chai Si-Right), a single of Ritz, is the result of a fight between Gun and Ritz. They mention that in passing on เกลือวันเด้อ EP.35, a talk show, that ใช่สิ, a song about how the singer feels hurt because he is not important to the other person, came to be because Ritz still sulked after the fight.

As I mentioned, the big ship in the beginning was TonoRitz. The fun thing is, Gun was jealous of that ship. He was like, "If you two are a pair, what about me? Aren't we a trio?" There is a time that he made a joke about it, like when they teased Tono about a woman Tono got shipped with at the time, and Ritz goes like,"What about meeeeee? " And Gun goes like, "Yeah! What about TonoRitz!" But then like, "Wait! I don't have a place, no matter if it is Tono and Pat or Tono and Ritz!😩" But there are also the time where it's not quite a joke. In a talk show that they go together as a trio in 2020, Gun admitted that back in either 2011 or 2013 (they didn't get their story straight😅 Tono said it was Gun's first solo concert, which happened in 2011, but then said the name of Gun's concert in 2013. I think he meant the 2011 one since Tono and Ritz were a guess then, while the 2013 one looked like they did not, at least on Wikipedia, but I didn't get to watch the 2013 one, so I'm not 100% sure). In his own concert, where he invited them to be his guess, he seriously felt left out and told his manager he didn't want to work as a group of three anymore. He says he's over it now, but I kind of think it's more because the ship has sunk than because he's getting more mature...

Back then, when Ritz was still a student (during his studies for a bachelor's degree), he said he was going to leave the entertainment industry to focus on his education. He has a goodbye concert and a goodbye song. it's a whole fanfare. And then he discovered that he was, in fact, able to both study and work at the same time. His first job after the whole goodbye thing was, like, just a few (2?) months later. He wasn't working as frequently as the others, but still. He got teased about that quite a lot for a while.

They (Tono, too) have been saying the L word since year one, and I find that adorable. Feeling comfortable telling your friend you love them is great!

They also repeatedly say that they did not choose to be friends out of their own will but got coerced by situations...😂

Dome Jaruwa, Tum Warawut, actors who played minor characters in Cooking Crush, and Gun Napat. All of whom are The Star winners of their year, are in a group called 4 Po Dum (4 โพดำ—4 Black Spade). They have a concert named 4 Po Dum Concert, Concert in The Theatre 2556, first, and then a TV program from 2015 to 2018. The other member is Gam Wichayanee, who is also the winner of her year. You might recognize her minor character role in Blacklist (2019) with Nanon, Chimon, and the others. They also do other shows together on various occasions under the name 4 Po Dum.

Gun and Krist Perawat are co-workers on a music show called The Golden Song. They sometimes sing together. They had a single together before and also a musical stage play (Dome and Tum are in it too). Actually, Krist seems to know quite a lot of The Star people. He says somewhere that Gun was the first, and now (at the time he said that) he has 6 The Star bros in total.

Despite being a singing competition runner-up, Ritz's ability to sing is quite limited. In this topic, he said, and I quote, 'I just want to be on TV. I didn't want to be good at singing' เพื่อนยาก ep. 5, 2024. That comment may be a counter to a tease, but consider that back then, he chose a freaking happy birthday song as one of his songs for the last round before the final. I wholeheartedly believe he was being genuine. He has a pretty interesting character.

They knew about their shipper since their early days but couldn't really grasp the shipping culture for quite some time. Actually, GMM, too. Long before GMM started producing the BL series, they knew about their shipper fan club, and they did want to make money out of their 'pair' but were not sure what or how to go about that. Now they are one of the biggest BL productions, but back then they were clueless. (Actually, the part that produced The Star back then is still probably just as clueless right now. GMM just has another group who know things now.) There was that one concert where all the 'big ships' (3?) of The Star got their sections. They acknowledged that they were in that section together because they were 'the pair' with the energy of people who had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Gun and Ritz knew a portion of their fans liked it when they hugged and kissed. At first, Gun was like, "Why??? What is so exciting about it???" for a bit, but he also goes like, "If fans like it, then sure, I absolutely don't mind doing it more." From what I see, Ritz didn't initial it often but also very much didn't mind going along with it. I always saw people talk about which ship was doing fan service and whatnot. There is no need to wonder about these two. These we-will-do-anything-to-get-attention are absolutely doing fan service. It's not like they try to hide that. Honestly, I find how Gun is desperate for a girlfriend (wife?) and very loud about it while also going about his "Let's Make a Ship Together, Ritz!" agenda simultaneously fun to watch. And I think it's fun to see Gun tell people and also Ritz that he wants to intentionally make a ship with Ritz and then progress to actually do so. They have openly said that that YouTube series of theirs was born because the fans like to see them do things together, they want to make the fans happy, so even though they fight alot when do anything at all together, they still wan to do it. On each episode of the series, they be teasing each other about things the other does specifically for the camera to see, and the other will usually be like, 'Yeah, so? Shut up and do it with me. Lol.'

They kiss at so many of their concerts.

In day-to-day life, Gun kind of kissed any friends who would let him. Tum and Krist are included in the list. He also likes to receive kisses from those friends. Tum says that one time he had to resort to kissing Gun on the cheek in the middle of a set  for many of their coworkers to witnessed because he wanted Gun's forgiveness. It's proven to be very effective because, after that, Gun instantly forgave him.

Gun once got asked how many men he had kissed. He asks why the fans assume he ever kisses a man (which is a ridiculous thing to ask considering that he does it on camera) and answers that he has kissed two men, Ritz and his dad. It's a lie. He definitely had more kisses than that. There are at least one more, Off Pongsak. Dome Jaruwat and Tum Warawut are also very likely already on the list by that time, too. As of today, Nont Tanon and Krist Perawat are also on it.

During a conversation about how old their friendship is, Ritz says that they should minus two years out of the time they know each other because there was a time when they blocked each other Line for two years after having a fight....

At Gun's house (the one where his parents are), there is a picture of him and Ritz from when they were still in The Star, pined in front of the house, near the car garage.

There was one time back in Ritz's student year when an interviewer asked Gun why Ritz wasn't at some event with him and a few others The Stars. Was the rumor about their fight real? And then Gun was like, Yeah, we absolutely did fight. All the rumors about us fighting were true. Yeah, Ritz is still angry. No, he would still come if he could. With the amount of time they had fought, it was quite amazing that they were still friends.

Gun treats his fans like they are very close. He be out there asking fans to join him on his trip or smth. Say something like, "Oh, I want my fan to join me at my house on Songkran" and then actually do it. (Wth!?) My mom, who is a (casual?) fan of The Star, says that some fans are kind of friends with his parents and would go to his house to meet them and not him too. But I'm not sure if my mom just confused it with Tum's fan who became his girlfriend's story.

Guns have been popular with an older generation since the beginning, and no one can get younger, so right now there are probably quite a few aunties and grandmas watching BL for the first time like how my mom followed Film Thanapat into the BL world

Ritz and Gun sometime call each other เพื่อนง่าย and เพื่อนยาก. I'm unsure about who is who or even if it's fixed or not. เพื่อนง่าย (friend+easy) isn't an actual word per se. It's a spin of เพื่อนยาก (friend+difficult), which means a friend who has faced difficulties with you, a true friend. Now they do a YouTube series called เพื่อนยาก (they say that it is because them being friends is such a difficulty) together.

During The Star, Gun Fan Club's colour is blue, and Ritz's is green.

Gun's fanclub calls themselves Sunblock. I don't know what Ritz's fan club calls themselves. GunRitz shipper fans call their fandom ห้องลับ-Secret Room. 

The GunRitz shipper fans from The Star day called Gun 'Tiger' and Ritz 'Duck'. idk why.

It seems like due to Gun's code for voting for him being 3 and Ritz's being 8, the shipper fans would resurface each year on August 3 and March 8th. I have seen some digital footprints.

They like to exchange free service between themselves (and for Ritz, also with a lot of other people). They have been doing that for many years now. Gun would go sing for the Ritz Clinic's event and appear on lives to promote the clinic for free, and Ritz would give Gun the clinic's service for free. They say that right now, it's Gun who gets more profit from this exchange.

They have mentioned having a bedroom for each other at each of their houses. Gun said it in their conversation on IG back then when his house was still under construction (in 2018?) and also in passing in one of the youtube clip they did together last year (2024). Later in their other Youtube clip, Gun offered to buy Ritz two mattresses for Ritz's new house as a housewarming gift, and Ritz said that one of them would be for Gun's room. It's probably an extra bedroom in general for both.

Rocket's Backstory

*deep breath* God help me

This is the most inconsistent Marvel backstory and I, the top expert on Halfworld, am here to clear it up.

I'm going to split the variants into the following catagories: 1985, 2014, modern comics, show, and mcu. (the show is simply called Guardians of the Galaxy and is on disney+ and i highly recommend).

I have compiled a spreadsheet to go over the main points

(As i go over the stories as best I can, please note that i am not a comic buff i am a 15 yo with Asperger's and an obsession with Halfworld and if i get something wrong plz don't be mad at me just tell me and I'll fix it :3)

1985 Rocket Raccoon- Rocket is a genetically modified caretaker on Halfworld, a mental asylum used to hold the insane of the galaxy, known as loonies/shrinks (extremely offence things to call mentally ill ppl but it was the 80'ssss). They have a book called the Halfworld Bible, which holds the secrets of the planets and it's people. The planet is ruled by Mayhem Mechaniks and Dyvynicies Inc; rival toy companies owened by Judson Jakes and Lord Dyvyne respectively. Jakes killed Lylla's parents to steal the company and it's... horrifying robot clowns. Pyko steals the Halfworld Bible for it's instructions on how to escape the planet in a giant human-shaped ship. Jakes and Dyvyne find out about this plot and team up to crash a party and there's a big battle and Rocket, Lylla, Pyko, Wal, Blackjack, and possibly Pyko escape Halfworld on the ship, leaving it in shambles as the loonies are left to the own devices to rebuilt the planet with their newfound wisdom (Pyko manages to 'cure' them)

2014 Rocket Raccoon (my fav series :3)- This one doesn't have much in the way of backstory, all we know is what Captain Sale gives us in the last book. Throughout the series it is shown that Rocket has no memory of his creation and believes he is the last of his kind. Until he ends up on Captain Sale's ship. She gives he the key to the Book of Halfworld and he takes 4 hours to read it. He is shown to be disgusted and horrified at the contents, leaving it with Sale and going home. (Clowns and the toy factory etc are mentioned, implying it is a sequel to the 1985 version.

Modern Comics- This section is specifically about v5 GotG #8 as I don't recall any other comics going into much detail. Here, there are loonies and robots, but no clowns. They must have thought it was too silly. Rocket is a therapy animal turned sentient with cruel experimentation. This is the first version of Rocket's backstory to show him sustaining significant and lasting trauma from his past. Not to mention the debilitating physical effects of having a metal skeleton and countless other weird things he doesn't understand. After his transformation, he is shown with the 1985 gang and other past team ups in a montage. It seems there is also an attempt at continuity here but it misses the mark a bit.

GotG Show 2015- This is by far the worst adaptation in my opinion, as it completely overhauls the story. So note that I have bias here. Here, Rocket is a simple Earth raccoon that has been transformed with the purpose of being a living weapon. His purpose was more 'artificial genius' than 'genetic marvel'. Immediately after being let into a more open enclosure, he meets Groot and effortlessly destroys the robots and steals a ravanger ship. After freeing all the creatures, of course.

MCU- Anyone reading this has already seen the movies but I'll go over it anyway. The High Evolutionary is a man trying to recreate a sentient Earth-like planet by modifying creatures. Rocket is one of these poor souls. He lives his early years in a cage with Floor, Lylla, and Teefs. Rocket manages to open the cage one day, only to have his friends shot in front of him by the High Evolutionary. He then escapes. He meets Groot later in a well, not shown but confirmed by James Gunn.

Wow this took long to write. Time for the conclusion. Here i will 'average out' all the stories and throw in my personal theories.

My version- Halfworld is an insane asylum built by the Kree where they experiment on mentally ill people to try to cure them(we used to do this here on earth until the 60's). The 'toy factory' is a cover-up for this operation. The robot 'doctors' use clown faces to put the patients at ease. But what do psycho robot doctors do when the asylum is abandoned and not longer supplied with patients? They turn to the animal inhabitants on the planet. The Halfworld Bible/ Book of Halfworld is an engineering manual documenting the disgusting progress of making an innocent creature sentient. Pyko frees his people after decades of slavery in a grand rebellion and Lylla becomes the Priestess and guardian of the book like in 1985. Unfortunately, during the rebellion, 89P13 and Groot get stuck in an escape pod and sent away from the Keystone Quadrent, leading him to believe all of his people are dead or re-enslaved.

I think this version harnesses the soul and vibe of all the backstories while making it make more sense in the long run.

What do you think the inside of the Star Nomad would look like, and what kind of rooms would there be?

Where do I even begin? Since the Star Nomad would be carrying folks back to their planets, I think there’d be hallways upon hallways on every deck, and there’d be either staircases, an elevator system, or both. Perhaps the Lords of Illumination could provide their own light for the entire ship, if they’re among the refugees, that is.

Maybe one of the decks would be reserved as some kind of temporary zoo. Of course, the larger animals, including the pit monster from The Birthday Boy, would have to be shrunk down by Neckbeard’s minimizing spell.

With the Watchdogs on board, their sleeping space would be just as condensed as their sleeping quarters on the Skullship. We already know Hater would have to share a room with Wander, but in the case of Sylvia and Peepers, I would imagine they’d take turns steering the ship and napping (imagine Peepers standing on a crate when he’s at the helm). The main four would have to live right under the helm where the star-shaped window is.

As more folks are being dropped off on their home planets, more rooms would become vacant, thus making the perfect opportunity for Wander to reserve those rooms for villains and keep them safe from Star Force Enforcement Force until he finds places where they can keep them safe (e.g. Sourdough/Evil Sandwich wrapped in a refrigerator at Blarpee’s).

I have been imagining the Star Nomad acting as some kind of cruise line with so many people on board. Clancy and Nancy of the Fancy Shmancys are in the hotel business, so maybe they’d know how to keep things in orderly fashion from buffets to recreational activities. Oh, and maybe there’d be a big room similar to the United Nations where the rulers of their planets can discuss their plans for the restored galaxy and such.

Maybe, juuuhhhhhst maybe, there’d be a spot somewhere under the stern where the fan that blows into the orbble wand masts is powered. You know how in Yogi’s Gang, the flying ark is powered by Magilla Gorilla running on a treadmill getting bananas in front of him? That particular spot would be for Huckleberry Knucklehead, and in front of him would be a lollipop. Worry not, though, for his teeny tiny parents would be there to watch over him. For every planet stop, he gets a lollipop.

There’s no telling where the ships owned by Starbella, Ripov, and Major Threat are, but considering the latter was said to be a recurring character in S3, I’m sure he’d hang around on the Star Nomad to be Hater’s mentor whenever necessary.

See how much creativity you can put into WOY if you put your mind to it? I look forward to seeing fan content related to the Star Nomad.

Aright then.

A lot of the backlash I see right now is the anger at them (allegedly) intending to remove their old content and make it available ONLY on their service. They have made several statements (noted, only after the initial announcement vent live) clarifying everything already on YouTube will stay on YouTube.

Problem is it’s, at best optimism, hazy if that was always the plan. The variety article they pointed towards now has an edit that implies they were pulling everything. The language of their announcement was vague enough to backpedal if it got backlash. It’s unclear if this was just a horrible marketing misunderstanding or damage control.

I see a lot of people saying they wish they could support and subscribe but they don’t have the cash available for it. Especially not for what they’re getting out of it. I can’t speak to that. However, as someone who could afford to make it work and very much WANTS to support the team; my personal concerns lie more in their current model.

I don’t see it being sustainable. They have a decently sized team, 25 people in their employ, but how many of them are faces we know? How many of them could step into the shoes of host if needed. Ryan, Shane, and Steven (and they’re hoping Steven’s old Worth it gang) are the main faces of Watcher. What happens if one of em gets sick and can’t film? What happens if one of em burns out? What happens if they’re just not feeling it creatively anymore and want to pivot to something else?

I also see a lot of people saying they don’t mind “lower costing” videos, many citing Too Many Spirits as a popular and lower budget production of theirs. A lot of us liked Are You Scared, Top 5, and their gaming series.

The problem is, historically, those haven’t been the biggest pulls. For Shane and Ryan they’re known as the “Goul Boys” and their ghost hunting requires going to haunted places, as they mentioned in the announcement video. It also takes a lot of time, effort, and talent. For Steven, he’s most known from Worth it, they brought back the old team because they know this and are trying to recreate it. I’m sure that was very expensive to make and I’m sure their spinoff of it will be too. Puppet history is crushing it so it makes sense they’ll throw money into that too.

The problem with their move is that it’s too drastic of a change, too quickly, and with not enough infrastructure or research to support it long term.

I want to believe they’ll pull it off. I want them to be able to stay independent, I want more interesting and quality content from the guys and their network, I want them to grow into something that can be sustainable longer term so Shane, Ryan, and Steven don’t hold the entire company on their faces.

Western Lonen base tour (modded)

I've been playing one colony for about 5ish in-game years and I wanted to show the world Tumblr my chaotic base.

It's very much still a work in progress and not very well organized. But oh well.

Western Lonen (don't ask me, it was randomly generated) started with three pawns in a crappy cave.

Raiders came, raiders got downed and recruited and slowly but surely the colony grow to the size it is today.

I normally play without electricity (Medieval Overhaul my beloved) but we needed it for research. So yeah, here's our wind turbine and a little part of our main entry.

Here you can see our fabulous entry and the northern part of Western lonen, consisting of a tample (buried are: Archuk, who died in battle with a stegosaurus. He was a great teacher and nanny. And Mako, who died as a stillborn after I accidently send her mother to fight a raid before she went into labor in the midst of battle....)

Also shown is our rapidly decreasing food storage :( a clothing storage and our oddly shaped recreation hallway.

FML for accepting so many refugees. Normally we're drowning in food...

It used to be so full.

The dining / living room is the main hub of the colony. This was the cave where we started in so it deserved the be the biggest and best decorated room. On the right you can see the hospital, bedrooms of the first three colonists ( two married eachother) a 'barn' for our animals and a nursery at the bottom right. On the left we have the classroom and some bedrooms.

Here we make and store our shit + an extra kitchen surrounded by bedrooms and diningrooms. I am always afraid to run out of clothes despite having almost 50 of all... It is a mess. Moving on!

Our cameleon yaks who adapt to the weather by changing their coat and some cows. Our main suply of wool and milk and meat. We also hunt dinosaurs.

As seen here. Turns out, when you hunt one, the whole herd will gang up on ya! Thankfully Almond is quick and we have a shitton of primitive turrets lined up.

They have Burnie back so I'm hoping that they'll get the characterisation right and the gang won't act wildly different (looking at you zero tucker and wash) but the whole concept just. Doesn't sit right with me?

They ended the show three times already, in seasons 10, 13 and 17. S10 has a nice ending, I think they could have easily wrapped it up there and left it (freelancer saga my beloved <3) but I'll admit the s13 ending is Amazing and leaves the show on a really bittersweet but high note. It has made me cry every time I've watched it and it's just a really good send off.

Then the blues and reds were a fun little side story but I feel like it kinda shits on the s13 ending (hell, the whole plot is baiting everyone with church being alive). They gave the characters a proper send off with s13 but then had a fun idea for a side story, and it's a pretty solid story with some of my favourite moments in the show so fine, a fun little adventure after the events of the main story.

Then the shizno paradox happened and. I like Huggins! I think donut finally got his well deserved arc and (speaking from the perspective of someone who does not have brain damage or memory issues or anything even close to what happened to wash so take my opinion with a heap of salt) I think they handled wash's brain injury with a surprising amount of care and respect for the haha goofy web series. Also caboose and Carolina in the shizno trilogy? I love them so so much caboose I would kill for you.

But it does feel like a punch in the face of season 13's ending. Especially with how ridiculous it gets at points (putting aside the "god"-killing golf-club they did tucker and sister SO dirty)

From what I can tell, most fans seem to agree that s13 was the proper ending for rvb, so I can understand why Burnie would want to go back to that and try to recreate that, and send the show off with a bang, but at a certain point it's just beating a dead horse? Plus they've already shown that they don't particularly care about respecting the show's roots and one of the reasons it got so popular like not rehiring Trocadero :((

I'm also worried that it may have been made in an attempt to start up the series again which means that we might have some random plot threads that either lead nowhere or get resolved Super quickly because rt got shutdown partway through production :(

Then again, I really hope I'll be proven wrong! I hope they give the cast a proper send-off and end rvb on a high note! I'm just very cautiously optimistic because I'll be honest shizno paradox and zero (and RT just being a horrible company in general and treating their employees like shit) left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

I always thought that the confrontation between Koko, Inupi and Taiju in Manilla timeline was interesting and show the slight difference between Excecutives Timelines and Manilla!Timeline.

First in Manilla, Inupi has been took in Tenjiku after Koko

either at the moment of the blackmail because Takemichi was not here and Koko said "i go if he goes"

or after Toman's defeat against Tenjiku (that, or Inupi didn't feel in debt with Takemichi so accepted Koko's deal)

Its very likely that Inupi is used as blackmail material against Koko if Izana and Kisaki knows that Inupi is Koko's weakness and they must know that they will lose Koko if they kill Inupi; so they must be careful but they can threatened Koko like "if you don't do that, we'll give him that mission, it will be so hard for him, and for his mental health!"

And here, Taiju knows perfectly where to hit.

Koko? He implies that he is just the money guy and nothing else, and it's truth, he's in this life and situation BECAUSE of his capacities with money and he has take Inupi with him in this hell.

And Inupi? If he didn't want that much to revive Black Dragon....maybe he think that it would have been different if he has gave up this plan. But i doubt it. Izana knew about Koko's money capacities, he would have tried to find him anyway.

Taiju knows them so well that he knew what do say to hit where it hurts the most.

yeah, it is a vey interesting interaction; for sure Taiju's behaviour in Manila TL is very different from the way he acts in the BLACK DRAGON arc and also in the final arc where he calls them his "inuneko"duo.

In Manila TL, Taiju really "trauma-shamed" Koko and Inupi, he surely knows to hit where it hurts, Inupi with his attachment to the idea of BLACK DRAGON, the "found family", sharing memories of the past once you're older, and Koko with his money obsession.

For sure the "past" that created the Manila TL was different from the one that created Bonten TL, and we know that Toman and Tenjiku at some point merged in a single group, the "second bad Toman" of the Manlina TL. Maybe the timeline changed immediately the moment Takemichi went back to the past, so maybe in the original Manile TL, 14!year old Takemichi didn't act the way "our" Takemichi did when he was ambushed with Koko and Inupi, therefore Inupi (especially) and Koko had no reason to trust/believe in him, and joined Tenjiku together immediately.

Or maybe they fought in different gangs, but they merged and reconciled later. Or maybe the ambush never happened in the first place, (probably unlikely, but getting Koko in that moment when they just had to fight it wasn't necessary, Tenjiku needed Koko in "time of peace", when he could have raised money for the organization. So maybe in the main story Wakui introduced that because he had to talk about Koko and Inupi's past and, within the story, maybe it was just Izana being Izana and fucking with people); unfortunately, there's no way to know exactly when the timeline started chancing. But for simplicity's sake, let's talk about the situations you mentioned

Izana knew very well (this is a flashback, before Shinishiro's death i believe) what Koko was able to do, everyone knew it, it wasn't not a secret, and Koko himself was aware of that

and we know that Koko only listen to Inupi so of course "using" Inupi against Koko makes sense. But regardless the first moment, if they joined Tenjiku together immediately after being ambushed, I believe that, at that point, Inupi just stopped caring about recreating a new BD: Taiju's generation didn't work and his hopes for Takemichi to be the "heir" of Shinichiro's ideal were destroyed, so I guess he just resigned to Tenjiku since, as Koko would have said, was the safest/smarter choice. I guess it would be the same regardless the dynamics that brought them together in the new Toman merged with Tenjiku actually. Inupi lost every reason to fight at that point, her tried and never worked. That's how we see Koko and Inupi once again criminals as adults.

Se yeah, tldr probably Inupi (and Koko) are both wary of Izana, but i feel that, at that point, there was no need to blackmail Koko any further; imho Inupi at that point had lost every hope to recreate a new "original spirited Black Dragon" , so he just does his work and doesn't questions things anymore. And Koko always had his money obsession, one way or another he needed to create money to placate his demons. He always acted illegally to create money, back in Tenjiku, knowing that he and Inupi were safe, would have been no different from before

Also we know that Koko and Kisaki gets along -at least in the final TL- so I like to think that they get along also in both the executive and Manilaa TL, maybe he's a little frightened by Kisaki since he saw what he's capable to do, but I guess they''d get along (just headcanon of course, since there's really nothing in the story that can confirm/deny anything, just a gut feeling).

Descendants: Rise of Red was a time!!

I'm not as fond of this one as I was of the original trilogy (I miss the original VK gang), BUT some highlights (spoilers rampant):

Queen of Hearts dressed in the most insane rose dress with glittering red claws on every finger and three full dimensions of eye make-up: "My awful daughter, your outfit is so tacky, god, you're embarrassing me"

Red's mom is in charge of a brutal totalitarian regime, but Red rebels by uhhhh throwing paint on her mom's portrait

Red: "GOD I can't STAND my MOM I want to live my OWN LIFE I gotta GET OUT OF HERE" -- Honey YOUR MOM IS KILLING PEOPLE and you're just gonna DITCH Wonderland?? Fuck all your subjects I guess??

In the Wonderland car, the Queen isn't wearing her seatbelt but Red IS wearing her seatbelt--this franchise is really improving its bad person/good person seatbelt visual cues

Loved Chloe's design, loved her relationship with her parents, loved that she is so sparkly and sweet and also great at fencing. Characters learning to shift from a Lawful Good mindset to Neutral Good are my favorite. No notes, perfect character.

Also love that Chad was retconned into the Brandi Cinderella and Prince Charming family!! 10/10 for recreating the multiracial family from the Brandi movie AND, like the original, providing no explanation for how that happened.

Did love the deep cut of giving Morgana le Fay a son in this one; I think the only Disney movie that references her is The Sorcerer's Apprentice? Love that this movie further muddies the already muddy canon of the Descendants universe since here the original Disney stories never happen as implied in Descendants 1-3. The villain parents go from having their canon, Disney-compliant origin stories to being in a greaser gang together in high school.

CoAi moments in DetCo games (part two)

This time the game I'm going to be covering is The Great Deduction of Three People. In this game you can actually play as Ai! Conan takes a more supporting role while the main case is deducted by Haibara. Unfortunately she doesn't have a sprite in this one (takes a narrator vn approach) but like the other game, there is full voice acting, animated sprites provided by TMS.

worth noting that this game takes place before haibara's development with the detective boys. so she's still cold, standoffish a little and ayumi still refers to her as "haibara-san".

since this is basically Haibara Chapter i'll do extremely brief context summaries per moment since the japanese for the case itself is too complicated for me to understand lol

For Context, the detective boys + hakase go to a glass case model exhibit recreating what edo period architecture and life. theyre at edo town museum, where there is a robbery that had taken place.

the opening cutscene is a cute cutscene—the DB all ride conan's skateboard with him but crash except haibara who was just walking lol. she is the POV you play as. the banter between coai immediately starts with their iconic snark to snark behaviour.

as they go in and observe the exhibits, conan asks her for her opinion

after the case figures are introduced, the kids get to see a glimpse of a super secret exhibit briefly—a scroll. haibara feels strange about it.

conan's voice here is really soft (and concerned).

the burglary happens, and haibara is the only one to notice the changes. seemingly there is nothing wrong with the case, but she has a feeling the real and the fake have been swapped. she freaks out a little, thinking it's related to the b.o

the reason that haibara investigates on her own is because she thinks the B.O have a possibility of being involved (since the case involves some wine references LOL). she seperates from the group to ask the case figures a few questions.

she later notices conan is gone heh. but she decides to press forward, and overhears a conversation between two men. but stuff go south when she's noticed, and guess who saves the his wife?

he saves her from being shot and the criminals run away. they go after them, but a series of events happen and the lose the perp. the dude above gets run over and they have to send him to hospital, but in the event he drops the scroll that was stolen earlier. haibara deciphers the scroll, and it leads her to some place, but its just 1 lead. she wants to go investigate it on her own, but the gang find out and insist on tagging along.

conan and ai very sweetly have this exchange

despite his sprite, his voice is actually so sweet. slightly hushed, gentle and reassuring. it's enough to make haibara cave.

conan helps haibara decipher the map by attaching a modern day map, revealing some clues related to the four asian mythological creatures. genta makes a comparison to food and somehow that sticks because the gang literally just start going on a food tour (its because the locations on the map point to, literally, food stores). conan even lets haibara decide where they go.

"oi haibara, you decide where we go."

the player is actually who decides where they go.

they go to ningyo yaki (a type of wagashi, and it has sponge cake texture with red bean filling).

genta: "ooooo, delicious. i can eat so many bro"

monjayaki:

haibara: "so this is monjayaki... this is the first time i've ever had it"

doujo yaki

genta: "oooh, it's here! let's eat!"

ayumi gets nervous about being served live food, and u can choose to make haibara freak her out here or console her. the LP chose freak her out, and she insists conan eats her share LOL

after all 3 visits you have the option to go back to one of the places. in the background of the monjayaki stop, you can actually see shiratori and sato in the background, which the kids choose to talk to them on while they eat their fourth meal of the day LOL they absolutely get No information other than the fact that they disrupted their lunch but it advances the plot

they do some investigating for three more places. theres a festival, with some suspicious ass looking dudes, and you can choose to just run (and investigate elsewhere) or ignore them. ignoring them advances the plot

anyway a few more shenanigans happens until haibara figures out the map and what the symbols mean (GO QUEEN!!!!!). at some point she gets a gun to her head by the perp (AND IS CRAZY CHILL ABOUT IT) but then conan, genta and mitsuhiko save her lol

they do some more investigating which eventually leads them to a warehouse

"WHOA, IT REALLY WAS THERE!!!!"

after conan gives haibara some context (there has been some robberies in the area), a bunch of steel planks start falling

no one gets hurt, and this is actually the moment haibara says her theory.

if you get it wrong, the culprit gets away. haibara's voice is quiet, almost disappointed in herself, and conan gently says it seems like your deduction was wrong, in a very forgiving and sweet way as if to console her lol. and then you can try again

they use the crane to catch the perp. sato and shiratori and take him away, and alls well ends well. conan and ai have this exchange

despite his sprite, his voice is pretty serious here. worried. concerned <3

since i cant add anymore images, haibara responds with

"well, i can't tell you that if i dont have obvious concrete proof" "especially in front of mr-rushing-headfirst-into-danger...." "eh?"

conan tells haibara that he didn't find anything related to the B.O about the perp that just got arrested, and haibara says she expected that. to add, he sweetly says this

haibara: "wow, coming from mr great detective, that's high praise" haibara: "well, if you ever come across a case you can't solve, you can always consult me" conan: "heh, i wasn't complimenting you that far."

the closing cutscene is sato taking the kids out for dinner, and then calling takagi to help her pay for the amount of food these kids ordered LMFAO

but conan and ai have one final exchange during it

(while takagi is mourning his wallet)

haibara: "well, the cold reality of adult circumstances" conan: (chuckle) "as always, cool and collected. by the way, what was up with you today? you didn't seem yourself." haibara: "hmm? what do you mean, i was the same as usual." conan: "where? you were oddly overbearing and nosy today." haibara: "really? then i must have caught it from a certain someone." conan: "huh? and who is this certain someone?" haibara: "who knows? why don't you think about it and figure it out, mr great detective?" conan: "huh?"

ANYWAY FOR MY CLOSING THOUGHTS

seeing someone haibara solve the mystery and lead conan along is the roleswap au that i need. and this is, in its own way, canon!

Let’s talk about the Golden Weapons

Because I totally thought they were a massive plot hole and they still kinda are, but it’s not as bad as I thought

We’re going through their history over the course of the show but I’m going off of memory (I’m up to season 2 in my rewatch)

The pilots

They’re hidden away and guarded by dragons

Garmadon is after them, so the ninja set out to get them first and ultimately succeed

Season one

They’re being used by the ninja until they hand the weapons to Garmadon to defeat the Great Devourer

Garmadon then runs off with them because duh

Season two

Garmadon combines the weapons, creating the Megaweapon, which can be used to create anything it’s user imagines (but it saps their energy significantly and only Garmadon can wield it without exploding)

Garmadon uses the megaweapon to cause problems on purpose, highlights include bringing a pirate crew back from the dead and resurrecting a dinosaur (which leads to Lloyd being aged up via Tomorrow’s Tea)

Garmadon also uses it to travel back to the pilots to try to prevent the ninja from coming together. He’s kind of succeeding until the ninja realize this timeline isn’t salvageable and use the Golden Weapons from that point in time (the pilots) to destroy the Megaweapon, and they’re shot into space. This makes it so that the Golden Weapons never existed past this point in time and thus the Megaweapon was never formed and they never traveled back in time, so the ninja just snap back to their present

Everything seems normal when the ninja return, including Lloyd still being aged up (which doesn’t make sense), but he’s never heard of the Megaweapon

Minor detail, but Skales mentions the Megaweapon a couple episodes later, Garmadon probably just told him, but it’s also possible that Skales remembers too

Season three

The Overlord needs Golden Power for his plan and tries to get that from Lloyd but his plan gets foiled (I think, I don’t remember what happens when lol)

So Evil Personified (tm) falls back on plan b: inventing space travel

The overlord commissions a spaceship and sends his minions to get the combined Golden Weapons from a meteorite or something

That works somehow, and the Overlord has them melted down and formed into armor

During the season finale, Zane latches onto the armor, powering himself up before ultimately exploding himself and the Overlord

Um, I don’t think we see them again until March of the Oni???

Season 10

Oni are invading, and the solution the gang comes up with is to reforge the Golden Weapons

Lloyd and Garmadon break into Borg Tower to retrieve the Golden Armor from the vault. It is effective against the Oni but doesn’t seem harmful to humans (which is stupid and ridiculous considering the Megaweapon (which is literally the exact same thing) vaporized a handful of people just because they touched it and the armor literally killed Zane (who is functionally immortal))

Kai uses the armor to recreate the Golden Weapons, the ninja use them to ward off the Oni for a bit before getting overwhelmed and using the Tornado of Creation instead

Do we see them between MotO and Crystalized???

Season fifteen

They’re there for some reason but don’t have any power anymore

The bad guys get them and cover them in crystal which gives them some sort of power back for some reason

The ninja get them back and undo whatever was done to them and then destroy them or something, idk

I think that’s it?? Probably??? Anyway, the main plotholes:

How the events of season one and the first handful of season two episodes play out without the Golden Weapons, the most pressing of which being how Lloyd gets aged up if not as a consequence of fighting a dinosaur and how the hell Soto and crew are around if not for the Megaweapon

Why space travel was introduced to the canon for a singular episode in season two and never mentioned again (not relevant, but it bothers me)

How Lloyd and Kai are able to handle the Golden Armor without exploding (I could buy Lloyd, but Kai???)

Why the Golden Weapons lost their power after s10 (I looked it up and the wiki says it was because of the Tornado of Creation but that sounds fake and/or stupid imo)

Why the Overlord needed them in Crystallized if they were powerless and how Aspheera was just able to give them entirely different powers (I’ve only seen Crystallized twice and it’s been a bit so apologies if this is a stupid question lol)

Who do y’all like better?

To those who haven’t seen my YouTube channel, allow me to summarize the three princesses within my AU.

Starting with Princess Peach

We all know the kind of person Peach is; Sweet, Super kind, very gentle, Really cute, motherly, practically perfect, etc, etc. But what if I said that in my AU, it’s all fake?! In my AU, Peach is the complete opposite of her canonical self, and pretends to be her canonical self to maintain her reputation. She does this to keep everyone wrapped around her fingers; that includes Mario. It’s how she always gets her way of things; she uses her pretentious charms in order to have the world revolve around her. However there is a small rebellion against her who see right through her mask; this rebellion includes Luigi, Daisy, Rosalina, the Origami twins, Team Bleck, Bowser, and King Boo, as well as a few others. So don’t ever let her smile fool you, she is beyond two-faced!

Next we have Daisy

Daisy is a few years younger than her cousin Peach, but has a heart of the purest gold! As they say she takes after her mother. She can’t stand the way Peach is and wants her to change, but it becomes more and more hopeless every time… she knows her cousin can’t continue this manipulative dictatorship, which is why she founded the rebellion. As for the rest of her personality, she is a lively ongoing woman who loves the exploration of her own kingdom, and the rest of the world! She also loves her father, the king very much and likes to help him with his duties as well as the people around her in any way she possibly can! I think you’ll like her!

And finally we have Rosalina(who hasn’t made an appearance On my channel yet)

Rosalina takes her role as the mother of the stars very seriously, watching over the sparks and lumas from all across the universe. Many of her closest friends worry about her overworking herself constantly. Especially Daisy, who she cares for the most. She is a very wise woman and is always willing to help anyone who may be hurting inside and/or outside; The spark hunters for example. In which they doubt they would be where they are now if not for Rosalina’s influence and words of wisdom. After being corrupted by Cursa, and then eventually set free, she ended up with a large purple crack-like mark on her face, still she stays strong for everyone she knows and cares for, and refuses to give in easily.
