offertorium - what piece of art describes your muse?

I am going to answer this OOCly because, well, I am unsure how to go about that in a written piece at the moment so...lol.

Anyway! This is a piece I saw very early on, before this blog took off. I ended up asking permission from the artist to use it as my tumblr banner because it's perfect, even after all this time. It is titled 'Boudoir' and you can view it at their gallery here.

Everything about this yells 'Ahlis' to me as a Warrior of Light. There's this atmosphere of calm repose, similar to how you see in some pieces of iconography involving saints or other religious figures. The soft yet striking beam of light pointing directly to her as she rests in soft shadows. She has the halo, small pieces of jewelry and armor made in gold, and who can ignore the sword.

This to me is just chef kiss, perfection.

Study Reference: @vuogle What do you guys think? Strongly recommending vuogle’s Gumroad tutorial. I made a copy as I watched the 2.5+ hours long tutorial with Skyrim music in the background and I have learnt so much (grayscale, gradient map, color balance, etc). I mainly wanted to practice grayscale but now I wanna know how he actually made his color choices!! He also paints loosely with different hues to achieve that “realistic” vibrance.
