Now, for le question. I feel like their first date would've been very casual, hardly a date even, maybe they go out, get coffee together (not at Gloria's Cafe because the kids + Gloria would've been PLOTTING to get them together) but maybe some other places. Very low-key, very personal.

But their dates later down the line would be more romantic ofc, Bill's a classic romance guy and Colleen I feel doesn't have much experience in relationships outside of professional ones - and if she were to have been with someone before it was probs with Gwendolyn and we know how that went (⁠•⁠ ⁠▽⁠ ⁠•⁠;⁠) - so it's a bit of a learning curve for her. Bill tries to make it nice and romantic, taking her to a fancy place for dinner, he'll try and take her to some place related to space perhaps like an observatory. But I feel like it'd be in character for their first more romantic date might not've gone well, like they don't get into an argument or anything, but like the date doesn't feel personal. Bill's anxious and trying hard to make it special that it's Not Special (like in the EP with Cricket and Gabriella).

So I feel like maybe instead of like trying to do things by the book or whatever he takes Colleen out to the country to see some actual stars there. They sit on the roof or in the bed of the Kludge. Bill's asking Colleen about constellations and she names them and helps Bill recognize them as the stars slowly skirt by in the sky. It's cold out in the country so they scoot up to each other and hold hands blah blah blah, very tender, very sweet.

I think it'd also be funny, if the kids (especially Tilly) tried to play matchmaker between Bill and Colleen. Tilly just has a cork board with stickers and post-its and doodles and red string and Cricket is just a long for the ride. Maybe Gloria gets dragged into it for the tea or the drama. Tilly trashes the house with hearts and glitter and pink (Alice about lost her mind but it's all for a good cause). And she'll find the most miniscule things Bill and Colleen might have in common to try and get them to like each other. "Wow! Papa isn't this just crazy? You like coffee! Colleen likes coffee! Don't you just have SO much in common?" Etcetera.

Tilly also wants them together out of a genuine care for Bill, she wants him to be happy and just like in Friend Con she wants to help him have meaningful relationships and she's worried that Bill hasn't been with anyone since he and Nancy got divorced that he's unhappy (which he isn't lol) and thinks someone like Colleen is good for him.

I think you get the idea lol ngl this has motivated me to write a fic sooo expect that maybe lol

Favourite Costumes: I said the same thing last year, but when hasn't her costume slayed? Shout out to the asymmetrical sleeves (and whip!) from the early London costumes. I love her chaps and pillbox hat! I do prefer the blue lipstick over the red lipstick in most cases.

Favourite Ships/Friendships: Components x Electra, Volta x Joule, Volta x Joule x Wrench, Volta x Coco. She's friends with Electra and the other components! She'd also be such good friends with Coco (they both seem to have it out for Pearl lol)

Headcanons: Not only is she Electra's stylist, but she's also his personal confidante. She knows things about him nobody else does (her hair is big because it's full of secrets)

Unpopular Opinion: Volta should be a gender blind role. I know they have women covering him in Bochum, but the character is still male. Bring back the fan wig for some of the covers!

I've ran this Incredibles blog since 2018, but I've loved the franchise since 2004! With Incredibles 3 just announced, I thought now was the right time to write a new intro post, since I'll (hopefully) be getting more active.

I like to post about theories, headcanons, and any and all general Incredibles-related thoughts. I also love getting asks with your thoughts and headcanons about the series. I'd love to talk about the Incredibles with you!

I have some playlists of Incredibles-related stuff like bonus features, deleted scenes, the scores, and other stuff, if you'd like to check those out. I also have a spreadsheet which lists the characters in the franchise, and all the various books, shorts, and video games that I could find, among other info, if you're interested in taking a peek at that! I may be neurodivergent lmao

I have a soft spot for all the characters, but my most beloveds are Voyd and the rest of the wannabes, Mirage, and especially the Deavors! I also love the glory days supers, especially Gazerbeam. I'm definitely a multishipper and Hevelyn, Wingazer/Winsterbeam, and Evelage are some of my faves. I don't have a problem with most ships unless they're incest or adult/minor - Winlet, Synlet, Elastigale, etc.

I haven't written Incredibles fanfic in a hot minute, but the fics I'm most proud of are:

🦸‍♂️ The Soaring Six & the Queen of Hearts: 130k words, T-rated, general (no pairings), focused on Voyd and the other wannabes as they adjust to life as supers in New Urbem. I wrote this in a fevered haze powered by the strongest hyperfixation I've ever gone through, and it's still the longest thing I've ever written and the only novel-length work I've ever finished! I know it's long and the lack of romance can be a turn-off, but if you decide to give it a shot, please let me know what you think - I'd love to hear it! 🦸‍♂️ Five times Gazerbeam didn't get the joke (plus one time he did): 12k words, T-rated, oneshot, Gazerbeam/Winston Deavor. This pairing only has a flimsy basis in canon, but I love it so so much, and this fic basically encapsulates all the reasons I'm obsessed with them. Winsterbeam you will always be famous.

Since 2018, I've owned Incredibles Antics, a small and tight-knit community server by and for people who love the Incredibles. If you're a fan, please feel free to join us!

I know I talked about this already recently, but I want to provide specific examples to prove the point that people didn’t purge Elsanna content from their blogs because they “realized it was wrong and grew as people.” That’s a narrative I see put forth by antis sometimes:

I have a friend who doesn’t reblog Elsanna much anymore, but they still ship it. One of their earliest messages to me (which I’m sharing with their permission now) was this:

And, in our conversations in the past, they described a time when they even did their best to avoid Elsanna fics, but not because they “realized the error of their ways” - because they were shamed out of it. They further expressed frustration at the narrative they were supposed to “grow out of it”:

Their experience is completely at odds with the anti narrative of “former shippers realized it was wrong and became better people.” In fact, their experience frames the antis as the worse people, the ones hurting others by shaming them over a ship.

“Well, that’s just one friend of yours,” they might say. “What about bigger-name artists?”

Gee, I can’t imagine why bigger-name artists would want to purge their content when THIS is the way people treat them over it:

Which is it, antis? Is deleting all your Problematic Content a good thing or is it a bad thing that proves you are duplicitous.

With antis, you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t. And I don’t blame any more prominent artist for deleting their EA content if the alternative is being harassed by assholes like this one.

Like, even when she tries to ship it discreetly, making art that could easily be interpreted as snow sisters, there are still people who are just SO EAGER to POUNCE at any whiff of the Morally Deplorable:

And for the record, as someone who tears up any time her voyd comic crosses my dash, YES, I DID KNOW she was “big into elsanna when frozen came out” and guess what? I love her for it. And her art still means the world to me.

Unpopular opinions: OK I love Zero but I also think that if they wanted a more progressive show they could have swapped someone else to female rather than make her male, if they wanted to balance out the components genders then simply keep Krupp and Purse. It's not that hard.

You know that feeling when years after you disvover that people were shipping these two characters you thought you were the only one shipping? That bitter joy of finding other stuff about them but there's not a lot and the persons aren't there anymore to create more or just speak about it.

Well, I already had quite a lot of that, and now here's my last one: Voyd & He-Lectrix from Incredibles 2.

Note: I don't know if that ship has an official name, so, even if in consideration of people who could not like the shit I avoid to do that as much as I can, I'll add their individuals names. I don't like to do that mostly because I understand how it can be annoying to find a picture of the character you wanted to see exchanging litters of fluids with another while you either don't like this ship, either just wanted the character alone. But as this one isn't really romantic...

MUN: A! We are more jazzed than a jazz band on Mardi Gras to see Alex back in action, and serving us a demographic we didn’t know we were missing! It’s like Hotel California in here, you can check out but you can never really leave <3 Thank you for bringing us Mal, we can’t wait to see what she and Jake get into!

CHARACTER: FLYNN RIDER! Members highlighted A’s selfpara series that documented big career moves for Flynn, and the cherry on top was the Flolley kiss! Finally!!! We’ve loved seeing Flynn’s career and his ship develop and are so excited to see where these changes take him.

THREAD: CATFISH EXPOSED! Swynrp loves a plot that not only includes multiple characters and muns, but that has additional implications for other characters too. We loved to see Gabriella taking the L for her friend, Bruce’s grappling with it, and Annie and Toby sticking their noses in mermaid business! Can’t wait to see the ripple effect on the merfolk of Swynlake.

TASK: B’ BULLSEYE IN THE MANDALORIAN! Not only was the bonus of B’ original art mentioned, but members also pointed out that her plot description fit both the show and Bullseye’s character so well that it was mind-blowing! 

Honorable mention: A’s super diverse supporting character tasks were highlighted by multiple members, but get this — no singular one was mentioned twice. Members individually highlighted several of her tasks for their unique casting and emotional impact!

EBOSHI IS GONE: She wrote her report (a beautiful one at that!) and returned to her office in London. As a result, Eboshi’s temporary policies (the suspension of Hades, the limits on the Board’s powers, the closing of the forest, and the postponement of the election) have all been reversed. Plot: Annie and Toby use the anonymous merm inbox to catfish Bruce and track the merms to Whosits and Whatsits. They mistakenly assume they were communicating with Gabriella, who doesn't correct them— leading them to expose her identity as a mermaid in the Squire!

ARETE LAW FIRM

Characters Involved: Belle, Hades, Toulouse

Plot: The local law firm, Wigburg, is closing down as Reginald Wigburg has retired. Belle, after convincing from her partners, has decided to open a new law firm! The petition has just been passed and you can now officially ask Belle for law help! Cases both magic and mundane are welcome.

STRAWBERRY HILL

Characters Involved: Simba, Berlioz

Plot: Simber has bought a house in London! It is a historical house, called Strawberry Hill, in the affluent Richmond upon Thames neighborhood. The house came with a twist--it is haunted! After Loud Bell came to visit, Hades informed Simber that the ghost would like to use she/her pronouns and goes by "Strawberry." They also met their neighbors, a lesbian couple, Regina and Anitta, who have two Dalmatians from the Dalmatian Plantation: Dottie and Smith. Regina, who goes by Reggie, invited Simba to join their football team. Jenny has also come for a visit, to look around before things are fully complete! They are doing a ton of renovation as the house fell into disrepair after it sat on the market for years, due to the haunting. Simber will be moving to London at the end of this month, though Simba will be commuting until the end of the school year. 

THE IVY GROVE BED AND BREAKFAST

Characters Involved: Toulouse, Gem, Sebastian, Lucky, Angel, Raksha, Scott

Plot: After someone (Gem) burned down Toulouse's house, he has built it back better than ever by hiring Morey Construction. After speaking with some new werewolves in town, primarily Angel and Lucky, he has decided giving new wolves in town a place to stay for cheap would be prudent. The new location is a lovely B&B with four bedrooms, two of which have already been filled by guests Raksha, her son Dhaumya, and Scott.

HALF A CENTURY

Characters Involved: Elinor, Roz, Moon, Cass, Merida , Flynn, Hera

Plot: Elinor turned 50 and threw a little formal dinner at the castle! Her friends from dinner club were in attendance: Roz, Moon, and Cass. As well as her bestie, Hera. Merida and the boys were also forced to be there. Flynn came over earlier in the day to help with a lighting issue. Moon saved Cass some embarrassment by lending her an evening gown.

WE’RE GOING IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION

Characters Involved: Evangeline, Hercules, Hatter, Al, Tink , Tiana, Snow, Jessica

Plot: After getting fired from the gym, Evy has tried several other jobs around town...getting fired from all of them for making mistakes and misunderstanding instructions. Being a star in a human's world is hard. :(

NEW YEAR, OLD FRIENDS

Characters and Muns Involved: Tófi Sethson and Moon Butterfly-Johansen

Plot: Godt nytår: Tófi invites Menodora to the Acorn Drop at Main Street Park. Come to find out neither of them are fond of the cold. Moral of the Story: Takes places after the Morning after the Acorn Drop incident: the two worsties have a heart to heart about their feelings (or lack thereof), also, waffles

NOTHING BETTER THAN REVENGE

Characters Involved: Eilonwy Llyr, Tony Rydinger, Willow Park, Ian Lightfoot, Annie Tremaine, Toby Determined

Plot: Upset by the article and the way it impacted their friend, Eilonwy, Tony, Willow, and Ian decide to get a little revenge on Annie and Toby. First they egged Annie's house and planted some smelly weeds in her yard (). Then they snuck into the Squire offices to enchant Toby's desk so that it would run away any time he was close (Discord)

SEEDLING CARE

Plot: Eilonwy asks Su to be her new co-host for the Women in STEM society and she said yes!

Plot: Mim confronted Gabby over what their relationship actually meant to the other woman and decides to end things.

SLEIGHT OF HAND

Characters Involved: Nick Wilde and Gaston D’Avenant

Plot: Nick is accused of using his illusion magic during poker at the Deer by one of Gaston's friends. Gaston sides with his friend, throwing Nick out of the game and banning him from any future games.
