Golgari Midrange plays a good amount of black removal with ~3-4 mana green beaters that stabilize the game and Inkeeper's Talent, which adds +1/+1 counters on our creatures, as well as phyrexian Vraska who has a two-card combo with Inkeeper's Talent letting us play her for 5 mana and immediately give the opponent 18 poison counters and ending the game.

Jeskai Control is a theoretical control deck that plays lots of interaction to shut down the pervasive aggro decks, with red and white creature removal and blue counterspells. The goal of the deck is to play self-mill pieces and red discard draw to put Voldaren Thrillseeker and Colossification in the graveyard. When we do, we can reanimate both with a six mana One Last Job and pay the seventh to deal 21 damage to our opponent as a "one-card" combo win-con.

Temur Spellslinger is a deck that abuses lots of effects that cheapen spells to play efficient Slime Against Humanities, which combined with self-mill and discard draw can be made very effective quickly. The spell cost reduction will keep up pressure with control pieces to let us beat down with big oozes.

Wouldn't that be okay, though? In the Voldaren Thrillseeker and Invasion of Innistrad artwork, there are phyrexian werewolves.

MoM had:

A ton of legendary creatures

DFCs

Transform mechanics

A trip to innistrad with werewolves in the art

It seems like every creature type got some sort of representation except the wolves. If any set outside of innistrad should have had them, it should have been MoM. Why are they absent?

Because all our transformations of non-Praetors was into Phyrexians.
