You know what the best part of this is? While Bruce’s actual personality is a very capable martial artist who uses various devices and inventions, often invented himself, and extremely protective of his children (which is EXACTLY Vlad’s type as evident with Maddie) Vlad met him at a gala which meant he met the billionaire as Brucie. Aka, the biggest himbo in Gotham. So Vlad has got to be having a mental crisis that he’s attracted to someone who acts like Jack Fenton.

Also, Poor Danny. He literally just lost everyone he ever cared about. His family, friends, even teacher. Which means he’ll likely be terrified of making any connections. So when he meets his literal soulmate, Danny probbaly sees Damian and just runs away, scared of making a connection only to have it ripped away again. Danny never wants to feel that pain again.

Which means the one who must do the flirting is Damian Wayne himself. Damian probbaly never thought much about his soulmate. They were pretty rare in the league and typically once found, were treated as royalty due to a statistical fact that soulmate children had better genes than normal children, thus, stronger soldiers. But finding one was extremely rare for a league member since they only went out to kill a target and targets typically weren’t soulmates. When he came to live with Bruce, he was surrounded by overly affectionate people (at least compared to him). He would even see people meet their soulmates in the street and immediately start gushing or flirting. Something Damian had no idea how to do. Once he was outside the league, Damian suspected that if he did meet his soulmate they would probably be a civilian or another hero. He figured that they would likely be the one to initiate contact and ‘flirtations’. What he wasn’t expecting was to meet such a skittish soulmate who after letting a snarky comment slip, slapped his hand over his mouth and fled at the mere sight of the heir. And who upon further observation seemed to stray away from fellow party goers and remain alone and isolated. Practically hidden behind the person he came with. Someone who seemed so…fragile. And upon learning the reason, that the boy had recently lost everyone he ever cared about, something Damian couldn’t even fathom with his current family, he knew that it was unlikely this Daniel would make the first move. Which meant Damian could not rely on his previous assumption. It would appear that…he…would have to initiate said flirtations.

Just a reminder, Damian does not know how to flirt.

Danny was depressed after the Nasty Burger incident, Vlad was as well but he tried his best to give the boy what he needed. Vlad assumed Maddie was his soulmate even though it was clear Jack was hers. Vlad decides the two of them need a change in scenery and the two pack up and move to Gotham. Vlad gets them a Mansion right in the same district as the Wayne’s.

They get invited to a gala by the big man Bruce himself and after a bit of convincing from Vlad they both go. Neither of them expect to find their soulmate tonight but fate has other plans. Vlad finds himself in front of Bruce and when the two shake hands electricity flows through both of them as they stared into each other’s eyes. The two spend the rest of the night talking.

Danny was starting to hate this gala, his new guardian was making weird passes at the host almost like he was trying to flirt with him but Danny couldn’t help but cringe as he walked away to get some distance. He bumps into someone and trips but the person catches him, he looks up to see Damian Wayne staring down at him and suddenly he understands what just happened with Vlad as the same happens with Damian. Before Danny can let his mind catch up he blurts out, “looks like I fell for you.”
