I have lived 5 minutes from the sea my whole life. I remember waking up in the middle of the night, sitting on the swing in my balcony, to just listen to the waves crashing.

Safe to say that the one thing which has always been a constant companion in my positive and negative time has been the Bay of Bengal.

I remember going to Hyderabad for a competition for a week and I was excited at the prospect of travelling to another city, away from family. Having been brought up so close to the beach made me lose the value it held because everyday in the evening I missed going for a jog alongside the beach. I remember irritating my friends by constantly repeating the same sentence, "Mujhe beach chaiye, mujhe beach chaiye, mujhe beach chaiye".

When I came back to Vizag I remember telling my mom exactly this, "I might've been staying in the swankiest of hotels but nothing could stop me from my beach cravings. I just wanted to come back."

It really puts me off when I think about the fact that I will be leaving this city for good next year and I have no clue how am I gonna deal with it.

So I had a high fever for a few days but I’m back now and I don’t have cell service here so I couldn’t track it but here’s pictures from my run around the building I’m staying in in Vizag. The building itself is really nice and there’s playgrounds, pools, cricket, and basketball courts around the building with a market right outside so it’s very convenient. It also has a spa, pharmacy, and gym. Unfortunately the gym had additional costs. Fortunately running is free.
