He froze. Did… did you just say that? His grip on you tightened and his heart sped up, head going a little fuzzy. There was no way he’d heard that right. There was no way that you… loved him. Oh god, you loved him? An uncontrollable smile crept onto his face, slowly slipping into a grin as he buried his face in your shoulder. You loved him. You loved him. Yes! Finally! He felt so happy he could die.

Butterflies fluttered furiously through his stomach and escaped through every breath he took, taking up space in his lungs and making him lightheaded as he all but hyperventilated. He couldn’t believe it!

He couldn’t believe it. It must be a mistake of some sort. His smile fell, morphing into a troubled frown as his doubts took the place of his momentary ecstasy. There was no way you’d meant that. What was there about him could anyone possibly love? You were asleep. You weren’t conscious; you didn’t know what you were saying. For all he knew, you could have said “I love you” to someone else and the dream version of him had interrupted, causing you to say his name instead of the true object of your affections.

His heart dropped, mood turning sour and foul as a result of his own deluded, far-fetched thoughts. He felt so stupid. How could he have ever thought anyone could love someone like him?

I've realised now that mood board 1 is sort of who I want to be, mood board 2 is probably the most accurate representation of who I am now, or who I think I am at least and mood board 3 is sort of a looser version of 2 but also a mix of 1 and 2 if that makes sense.

And what about you? I know you make a lot of mood boards, but I'm really curious to see your one(s) of how you see yourself /that represent you, if you are happy to do so :)

the vibe you give off is that you go outside and hold a cracked porcelein cup up to the ashen sky while it's night time and thunderstorming in hopes of catching a lightning bolt (loser behaviour). all you get is a bunch of rain water though. and then you drink it all for no reason other than that you are In The Feels and also you want to become one with the rainwater

honestly i can never trust myself to review a book or give my opinion or rate it because i dont know what to base it on. i can give you seperate ratings for the prose, the plot, the characters (individually) and the romance, but i cant just give you ONE RATING FOR THE WHOLE BOOK 😭

and also ofc my standards for a book being "good" is different to other people's standards, so there's that too.
