24-HOUR DRONE: Vision Control
#24hours24days: Vision Control is John Pugh (XI) in collaboration with other musicians, sound artists, choreographers, videographers and technicians. For this piece (Lewd Did I Live/Evil I Did Dwel) Pugh worked with dancer/choreographer Malinda Allen. This marks their first collaboration in over 29 years. Presented at Drone Fest 2017 will be the second of three performances of the piece. (Part I: March, Part III:August). The first in this series was The Vibrational Drum Tests which was first performed by Pugh on the roof of the former Dia Foundation building as part of the MAZE performances at Select Art Fair in NYC 2015. He went on to present versions of the piece at Trans Pecos' PRACTICE series, the DOT AIR festival at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, RI and in concert with heavy musicians (and LR natives) The Body.
