The Sky Kingdoms: Inheritances and Lineages
The Lines of Inheritance for the Sky Kingdoms can be confusing for someone not used to it but it’s very easy to learn. In general, it’s the eldest kit that is known as the heir albeit, some exceptions can be made. Let’s start with how it works in general before we talk about exceptions though;
The four highest ranking members of the noble-born section of the kingdom are the mishuno, mishuna, ovisha and llovisha.
Let’s use the kingdom of the Shining Sun as an example;
Mishuno - Hraye
Mishuna - Iyeŕa
Ovisha - Isaŕia
Illovisha - Yulami
Since Hraye is dead, that means that his mate - Iyeŕa - was ruling the kingdom. That said, his kits were very young when he passed and with none of Hraye’s siblings around, Iyeŕa was responsible for the kingdom and the cats within it until their eldest daughter was capable of ruling. Traditionally, this is at two seasons old - a full cycle within the words of the clans albeit, this can be extended all the way up to four seasons old.
The mishuno and mishuna when both are royal born are of equal status albeit, the one native to the territory they rule has greater sway due to their historical lineages.
After that the ovisha has the next level of sway and importance and is usually considered the overseer of their siblings.
Something exclusive to the Shining Sun is molly supremacy. Due to the historical reign of the Cruel King, the Shining Sun places greater value on ruling mollies than ruling toms. As a result, even if there is a tom in the litter older than his other littermates, the eldest molly is the one first considered for the position of heir followed by the eldest tom. Genderless kits are also prioritized over toms but beneath a firm molly.
Using Fireheart’s family again, Hraye is actually the eldest overall of the litter with Isaŕia being second eldest. However, she was the eldest molly so she was named the crown heir followed by Asha, then Ahasra in line to the throne. Only after all three of his sisters have been exhausted would Hraye then take control of the throne. The other kingdoms look down upon them a bit for this - citing that despite their dedication to Vrayushu they’re betraying him. The Shining Sun has stubbornly ignored these objects and merely teaches the story of the Cruel King and the dawn of their current royal family.
After these four are the average heirs known as veshaan - which can be specified into veshano to mean “prince.” This term specifically refers to kits of the ruling line.
Using Fireheart’s family;
When Isaŕia is the crown heiress, Fireheart, Ahasra, Hraye, Adihikko and Ahasra are vesha.
Princes and Princesses of the non-ruling line are referred to as shuno or shunona.
Once Isaŕia became queen, her siblings became shunoan while her kits became the veshaan. Note: -an is a pluralizer, visha (sing.) becomes vishaan (plual)
Should a tragedy occur and all of Isaŕia’s kits pass away and she never has more, her siblings would once more become veshaan.
Scenario: All of Isaŕia’s kits die, but her sisters are still alive. Asha and Ahasra are once again the next for the throne. However, should they also pass, then Hraye is next is line followed by Fireheart - who would be removed from ThunderClan - and then Adihiko. If Hraye has already passed and in this world, Fireheart is still with Sandtail and they’ve had kits then his kits - Squirrel and Leaf - would then be the heirs and this duty would trump their duty to the clans.

6 crucial ways New York City’s landscape will change in 2019
What to expect from New York’s transit, parks, megaprojects and more in the coming year
By Zoe Rosenberg Jan 2, 2019
2018 was one heck of a year for New York: The beloved Riegelmann Boardwalk at Coney Island became a landmark, a wave of progressive politicians refocused the conversation around issues like housing and inequality, 520 Park Avenue unseated its neighbor at No. 432 to claim the city’s top residential sales, and—even though the news often felt crushing—good things did indeed happen in New York.
Now, with 2018 in our collective rear view, it’s time look at what 2019 will bring. Rent stabilization will take center stage in June when the city’s laws are up for renewal, megaprojects throughout the five boroughs will make giant strides, the city’s new tallest residential tower will top out at 1,550 feet, and so much more.
Read on for what New Yorkers can expect to play out across the built environment in 2019.
Megaprojects
The construction of Amazon’s HQ2 in Long Island City will be a development a decade in the making. While local pols like the city comptroller and a handful of City Council members are still decrying the deal, it’s too soon to tell what will physically happen at the site this year. (Reps for Amazon and the New York City Economic Development Corporation were none too quick to share specifics.)
Here’s what we do know what the year ahead holds for the manmade inlet of Anable Basin that will hold HQ2: A 14-month planning process will kick off in January, with members of the 45-person Community Advisory Committee holding four meetings throughout the year. The CAC’s Project Plan, Neighborhood Infrastructure, and Workforce Development subcommittees will meet monthly as they hash out community-driven recommendations for the development. (Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer of Long Island City and state Senator Michael Gianaris called the CAC, which they oppose, a “thinly veiled attempt to present the Amazon deal as a fait accompli.”) The committee’s recommendations will inform Amazon’s master plan for the site, which should be revealed by early 2020.
📷 The waterfront warehouse owned by Plaxall will most likely be razed to make way for Amazon’s HQ2. Max Touhey
The tech giant has already committed to constructing between four and eight million square feet of office space and providing more than 500,000 square feet for public improvements including a school, light manufacturing space, a community facility workspace, an art and tech accelerator space, and public open space. The EDC and Empire State Development Corporation have expressed that construction could begin at the site as soon as 2020, with Amazon eyeing a 2022 move-in.
The much whispered about initiative to deck over 180 acres of rail yard bisecting parts of Long Island City and Sunnyside, creating Sunnyside Yards, was confirmed by the city in May when Amtrak and the MTA announced it tapped Vishaan Chakrabarti’s Practice for Architecture and Urbanism to create a master plan for the massive site. (Yes, massive is an appropriate adjective—it’s six and a half times the size of Hudson Yards.)

"Go ahead. Trade one for one?"

"Listening.
“Mm. Koorah- I was... lost... very... lost. Perhaps... ran... into... the mists to... find answers... and... it heard me... But... I... found. A land that... was... dripped in radiant... light... a... land... of... caves and... struggle. The... peoples... were... fae... thin pointed... ears... and black as pitch... skin. I met... my... master... Ghundaun... he... was a fae... person... an outcast... was able... to bend the radiant light into weapons sharper than... steel. He found... me... saved... my life on the long... road I had... traveled on.
I... one day asked for... him... to train me... I wanted... I wanted to repay his kindness.... so that... he would... never again... weigh... heavily upon... his... own burdens... So I began... making... blades... nails... pins and.... anything he would need, and hunting for them. Before... long... in the village, I was known... for our... crest. Not... as a Belmont... As... I... made.... something for Ghundaun... before I left... it... was... a Vistani... pendant, made of... crystal... for... him to... give... to his... lover... My... caretaker... Numnet.
