Vintage Mayak-2 Multi-Band Radio, Produced In The USSR Under A Ministry Of Defense Order For Use By Political Officers, Not For Civilian Use, Dated 1986 by Joe Haupt Via Flickr: NOS - Purchased from a seller in Belarus. Description of the radio by a seller in Belarus - Radio receivers Mayak-M and Mayak-2 were made by order of the Ministry of defense (MO) of the USSR for political officers, in retail sale didn't arrive. Difference radio Mayak-2 from Mayak-M in the presence of VHF range.
KV ranges "16" and "19" meters to the Soviet people was no way, because ideologically harmful, they are "enemy's voice," well fought, and civilian receivers, they simply did not exist. But ideologically and politically trusted officers - they can. Wink. Because, you see, and the receiver has not received that civil GOST did not meet. Defense products, not huhry-muhry! Haha.
Note: GOST refers to a set of technical standards maintained by the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC), a regional standards organization operating under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
