Official Color of Jonny's No1 Tele Plus

For a while now, we've referred to the finish on Jonny's No1 Telecaster Plus V1 as "Tobacco Burst." While Jonny’s Tele is often called a “sunburst”, on closer inspection the finish is little different. A traditional sunburst has three sections: a semi-transparent yellow center, a red ring around that center, and black edges. In contrast, the finish on a 1990s Tele Plus lacks a clear red ring (though it does turn reddish near the edges), and the central yellow section is darker than on a traditional sunburst. So the darker “Tobacco” version of a burst seemed accurate. It doesn’t help that the guitar is often seen in low-quality footage and under stage-lighting, both of which can mask the details of a guitar’s finish.

In fact, Fender’s official name for the finish on the 1990s Telecaster Plus V1 is “Antique Burst.” Thank you to Ben for pointing us to uploads of some official Fender price lists from the early-90s (click the download links on that page to view spec/price lists for all Fender guitars, not just Strats). Checking those price lists, we can see that Fender used the “Antique” finish for their modern, higher-end instruments. The finish is offered for the “Signature”, “Designer”, “Set-Neck”, “Ultra” and “Plus” series instruments. In contrast, the 1992 “American Standard Telecaster” was offered in a traditional “Sunburst”, while the 1992 Mexican-made “Standard Telecaster” wasn’t even available in any burst colors. Vintage reissues had their own set of bursts in 1992: “2-Color Sunburst” for the ’52 reissue and “3-Color Sunburst” for the ’62 reissue.

Jonny had only recently acquired the guitar after his original No1 Tele Plus was stolen in Denver, hence the lack of stickers. Some combination of lighting and digitization has totally masked the details of the finish, giving it a "2-tone" appearance. But it's still recognizable as the same guitar, note the wear to the finish on the edge of the lower bout.

On many sunburst Fender guitar from the 1950s, the red ring would fade with exposure to sunlight, sometimes fading entirely and leaving behind a 2-tone burst. Some good examples can be seen in this TDPRI forum thread, along with some 3-tone burst guitars from the 1960s (after Fender found a way to prevent the red from fading). Presumably, the “Antique Burst” is so-named because it resembles the faded finish on a 1950s guitar.

Jonny's "No1" Tele Plus shouldn't be confused with his "No2" backup Tele. The backup is originally an American Standard Telecaster, but Plank converted the guitar to Plus specs (though by necessity it has a full bridge plate, rather than a humbucker ring like an original Tele Plus). The American Standard wasn't available in "Antique Burst", but was instead offered in the more common "Sunburst" finish.

For some further confusion, check Fender’s official “instrument finish chart.” The online chart includes both “Tobacco Burst” and “Antique Burst”. However, the picture for “Antique Burst” is distinctly reddish, more closely resembling the “Crimson Frost” on an early-1990s Tele Plus (and not to be confused with the mid-1990s “Crimson Burst” finish, which lacks the black edges). The online chart doesn’t include “Crimson Frost” or “Crimson Burst”, and instead lists a “Crimson Red Transparent” color that isn’t on any price list from the 1990s. So it appears Fender may have switched some names around to more accurately describe the colors (for example, the 90s “Crimson Burst” is really more transparent than burst).

Il canale simbolo degli anni Ottanta, con i suoi videoclip... La storia di Mtv iniziò nel 1977, quando la Warner Cable creò il primo sistema di tv via cavo, Qbue, che offriva una selezione di canali tematici tra cui Sight on sound, rete televisiva musicale sui dietro le quinte dei concerti e programmi televisivi. Ma la vera Mtv nacque da una felice intuizione dal produttore esecutivo Robert W. Pittman e venne lanciata il 1 Agosto 1981 alle 12.01 con John Lack  che diceva "Ladies and Gentlemen...Rock n' roll..". Le prime immagini trasmesse dalla rete furono quelle del'Apollo 11 che atterrà sulla luna e il primo video mandato in onda fu quello dei The Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star, mentre il secondo  era You Better Run di Pat Benatar. Dopo l’ideazione della top 40 delle radio, in cui ogni video veniva introdotto da un uomo o una donna e in seguito lanciato, si sviluppò la figura del Vj, con l’arrivo di Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, e Martha Quinn. I primi video della programmazione di Mtv erano spesso clip di concerti o promozionali e potevano essere trovati da qualunque fonte, così un gran numero di band e cantanti furono trasformati in nomi importanti come Van Halen, The Police, The Cars, Eurythmic, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, RATT, Deff Leppard, Culture Du e i Kiss fecero la loro prima comparsa senza trucco sula rete nel 1993. Nel 1983 Mtv mandò in onda il videoclip Billie Jean di Mickael Jackson, considerato il primo video di un artista di colore trasmesso dalla rete e un anno dopo trasmise la prima edizione degli Mtv video music awards, creati come una risposta ai Grammy Awards. Dopo il grande successo Mtv si diffuse in tutto il mondo finendo in Europa, Australia, America Latina e Asia. Tra il 1987 e il 1989 l'edizione europea di Mtv fu prodotta a Amsterdam, mentre nel 1989 la sede principale venne  spostata a Londra, ma in Italia era visibile solo tramite il satellite Astra. Nel 1995 Mtv  Networks Europe firmò un accordo con Tele+ per trasmettere in chiaro a livello nazionale il suo segnale sulle frequenze di Tele+3. Dal 21 giugno 1995 l'edizione europea di Mtv divenne visibile per tredici ore al giorno in tutta Italia, dalle 13 alle 19 e dalle 00 fino alle 7 del mattino. Ma una legge impedì a Tele+3 di trasmettere per tredici ore al giorno e i nuovi orari furono dalle 14 alle 19 e da mezzanotte alle 2 di notte. Il 1°settembre 1997 nacque ufficialmente l'edizione italiana di MTV con il primo Mtv Day che vide  come protagonisti gli U2, così cominciò ad essere trasmessa sulle frequenze di Rete A per 22 ore e mezza al giorno. Con il lancio dell'edizione italiana di Mtv arrivarono i Vj italiani come Victoria Cabello, Enrico Silvestrin e Camilla Raznovich che debuttano su Mtv  Select, successivamente Daniele Bossari fece  la sua prima apparizione su Dancefloor chart, la classifica dance di MTV, nel marzo 1998. Nel 1998 fu inoltre concesso più spazio a Andrea Pezzi, Vj  con  idee molto particolari, grazie ad alcune sue creazioni come Tokusho e KItchen. Il 1 Luglio 2009 Mtv Italia uniformò il suo logo a quello delle Mtv di tutta Europa cambiando logo e tutte le grafiche inerenti ai videoclip musicali, con personaggi o temi in versione animata e uil  17 Maggio 2010 presero  il via sulla tv digitale terrestre le trasmissioni di Mtv+ , canale dedicato completamente alla musica. Fu il  10 gennaio 2011 che venne  rinnovato nuovamente il bouquet dei canali satellitari di Mtv su Sky con il lancio di Mtv Classic, Mtv Rocks e Mtv Dance, dando inizio alla nuova vita della rete, sempre più legata alle tendenze dei giovani. La cajita que usabas de cenicero, todas las colillas y la ceniza dentro 

Una mosca. Una banda de encendedores que no sirven. La pc siempre prendida. Los ruidos del despertar. La agonía. Saber que no me queda nadie. La mentira de sentirme reconfortante. La misma cara, para distintos días. La música como impedimento del pensar.

La lapicera que se revienta entre los dedos manchados y lo poco que me importa.

Las carpetas repletas de números que no entiendo. El aparente orden de los lapiceros. 

Unas vans deshechas. La tinta de la lapicera entrando en la herida, ardiendo más y más, y me lloran los ojos, y me rechinan los dientes, y la tinta cae como gotas de sangre negra sobre la hoja. Y el caos toma el papel y me siento contenta con tan pequeña victoria. Y se borran las palabras. Y todo cobra sentido aunque no lo tenga.

Toda la vida me dijeron exactamente quién soy. “Es un niño…” fue lo primero que la doctora les dijo a mis papás antes de que naciera, “…saludable y bien formadito.”, por supuesto que era más importante definirme que mi propia salud. En la escuela las maestras tenían palabras para describirme: “es muy distraído”, “tiene potencial, pero es muy inquieto”, “no es nada amable con los demás”. Fue ahí dónde empezaron mis primeros negativos. Para algunas personas, muchas en realidad, es más sencillo definir a los demás por lo que no son que por lo que sí. Por supuesto que las figuras de autoridad te definan es muy importante para los padres, pero para mí siempre fue mucho más poderoso las definiciones que tenían mis compañeros de mí. “Es un gordo”. “No es nada gracioso”. “Es un rarito”. “No es material para novio”. ¡Eso sí que dolía!

Un día, mientras le ayudaba con la cena a mi mamá, su telenovela se acabó, pero de lo ocupada que estaba no pudo apagarle luego luego como de costumbre. La programación siguió y yo vi algo que por siempre cambió mi vida. En la tele, enfrente de miles de personas, al centro de un cuadrilátero, un hombre gordo como yo con una máscara roja con dorado en los ojos, decía a través del micrófono:

“Todos aquí intentan definirme. ¡Que si soy muy gordo o muy raro! ¡Y nunca voy a lograr nada! ¿Saben qué? Nada de eso es lo que soy. Cuando estoy en este ring, cuando uso esta máscara, ¡yo soy un guerrero! ¡Aquí en este coliseo yo soy un héroe! Y pronto verán, ¡que soy su héroe!”

Durante un mes entero no fallé ni una tarea, ni dejé un solo plato sucio. Mi cuarto jamás había estado tan impecable y yo mucho menos. Hice todo lo necesario para que papá nos llevara a mí y a mis hermanos a ver las luchas. Fue trabajo duro, pero por primera vez en la vida tuve una razón verdadera para hacerlo. Lo logré y, llegando al evento, mi papá me vio tan emocionado que no pudo negarse a comprarme una máscara. Me la puse inmediatamente y no me la quite durante una semana entera. Después solo me la quitaba para lavarla, o para cambiarla de entre mi colección que, con el nuevo trabajo que tenía, crecía cada vez más. La realidad es que, desde el primer momento en que me la puse, dejé de ser lo que los demás decían y comencé a ser yo.

So I told myself that I'd continuously write on this so I have something to look back on in the future, reading all about my adventures and what not but if I'm honest I haven't even written on this since November due to being so damn busy. So here's a recap of the last 2 months.

So, we went to Melbourne for about 12 hours on legit 4 hours sleep and fuck, it was very eventful. Seeing Paramore definitely excused the fact I was dying from exhaustion... oh and of course the starbucks and seeing my favourite pal Mickayla since I hadn't seen her in a few months after she started her new life journey in Victoria. Have to say my bed had never looked better after all that travelling that's for sure. I decided to spoil myself for Christmas this year since I'm single as all shit and don't got no women to buy presents for. I joked for weeks beforehand that I was going to go buy a telecaster and no one could stop me, literally it started off as a joke until I walked into a music store and walked out with a brand spanking new tele. Did I regret the purchase even though it killed my bank account? Hell no. The next day I said goodbye to two tattoos that were holding me back and as much as the pain was some bullshit especially on my wrist bone, I don't regret a thing and I am honestly in love with this new piece. Christmas itself came quicker than expected, and as much as it was a drunk filled emotional one , I was so glad I decided to go away instead of spending it in Adelaide. Safe to say , I didn't really want to come home. Lately all I have wanted to do is travel but of course not having my licence has meant travelling has been a little limited which of course means I'm going for my licence in a few weeks, how scary. New years eve was an eventful one, looking like I'm about to jump on my horse and ride into the distance while listening to country diddys. The night was filled with karaoke, drinking... lots of drinking and more drinking. The next day was definitely eventful, not. And last but not least, today. Today was a day of letting go of a lot of things, clothes wise but things that had some sentiment to them. So if you know me well, you know tight jeans were an absolute staple in my life. Note that I also haven't worn tight jeans since about a couple of weeks after my ex and I broke up. Well, they are no longer as well what I classed as my favourite hoodie and a few other items. I actually got rid of the majority of my clothes I wore back then mainly because I just wanted to forget that version of myself since he gives me the ick nowadays. (Fucking douchebag 🤮) . It was bitter-sweet, I won't lie but damn it felt good.

2024 is a year of doing things for myself and of course, actually living instead of being in survival mode. Travelling is definitely in the books as well as many more concerts, music festivals etc. So stay tuned because this year, well this year is going to be the true year of The Adventures Of A Wild Dingus.

Según Wikipedia Camera Café estuvo en antena desde 2005 a 2009, eso explica porque me parece que he visto los mismos capitulos 20 veces.

Fui muy fan de esta serie en su época, y de hecho a diea de hoy no me molesta ver algún capitulo que echen en la tele. Me pareció un formato novedoso, donde con un punto de vista fijo, siendo un personaje que participa de forma pasiva dentro de las acciones.

Hace un par de años le dieron mucho bombo (después de 20 años) se iba a lanzar una pelicula de la mitica serie, lo puse en mi lista de pendientes y me olvidé. Ayer me la encontré por casualidad y vamos a hablar de ella:

La película empieza tal cual con el punto de vista clásico de la seire, pero menos de un minuto después la camara se desplaza para mostrarte la oficina (que jamás te enseñaron enla serie original) y comienza una narrativa surrealista.

Diría que es entretenida pero sería mentir, los personajes están sin participar, están ahi, pero no aportan, no rellenan y te quedas siempre con las ganas de que pase algo.

La trama principal es más surrealista que las tramas normales de la serie, es infumable, pese a que Arturo Valls sigue en su personaje, y los demás lo acompañan. Es una pena ver los personajes de Arturo Cañas y Victoria de la Vega tan desaprovechados.

El resultado de la prueba está pendiente, ya que la delegación panameña presentó una apelación. No obstante, el comunicado señaló que Woodruff había cometido una infracción en la novena falla, lo que le costaría la descalificación. En tal caso, la medalla de bronce pasaría a Michelle Smith (Islas Vírgenes) con 57.53. La única medalla de oro de Panamá en la historia de los Panamericanos ha sido lograda por el legendario Irving Saladino en salto en largo (2007). En la final masculina de los 400 metros con vallas se impuso el jamaiquino Jaheel Hyde con 49.19. Especialista en los 110 vallas en sus comienzos (fue campeón mundial u18), luego comenzó a destacarse en los 400, prueba en la que conquistó el Mundial Junior en dos oportunidades y donde ya alcanzó la final mundialista de mayores. El brasileño y campeón sudamericano Matheus Lima da Silva se llevó la medalla de plata con 49.69, aventajando por cinco centésimas al cubano Yoao Illas. El también brasileño Marcio  Soares Teles fue 7° con 50.80.
