Allays are originally native to dense forests, where they lived in big peaceful communities. They are friendly and curious creatures by nature, approaching and interacting with the humans they encounter. They have a strong sense for organisation, collecting objects around them and separating them into distinct piles. This makes it so their societies are very well structured, with each Allay having their role and responsibility. However the majority of these creatures' natural societies have gone completely extinct due to the actions of Pillagers. They capture wild Allays to force them to transport and organise supplies or do cruel experiments on them to transform them into Vexes. Vexes, unlike Allays, are chaotic and aggressive, removed from their sense of community and obeying only their masters. When enraged, their bodies heat up and their faces become red, brutally attacking anything in their path and being able to become incorporeal temporarily to reach enemies behind obstacles. Efforts are being made to restore the native communities of these creatures and transform Vexes back to Allays, but progress has been slower than expected.

GEMINITAY + VEX

First posted on my patreon. A couple design notes below the cut!

I went with her s10 skin mainly for color reasons, but also because her spooky theme for s10 matches the menace of vex. I gave her scars on her arm and eye as a nod to her secret life skin!

I can't remember exactly which convex clip inspired it, but I've always associated vex magic with the cold, so I included icy crystals along the base of her vex wings. Similarly, I included a diamond because the convex were big on profit/crystals and that lines up nicely with Gem's pirate vibes.
