it's sad how many reviews and stuff around tmbg seem to centre linnell as the sole dark and creepy writer of the band, never really crediting flansburgh too. do "hide away folk family," "dirt bike," "rabid child," "black ops," "cloisonné" mean nothing to them, smh.

he’s Just Some Guy, never formally trained in jujutsu, naturally gifted and honed his below abilities by himself with the guidance of his mentor (most likely mori) .

toying with the idea that if he hones his technique enough he might be able to rid a person/spirit of their cursed energy completely (which for the spirit would result in their physical body being rendered almost useless and therefore easier to exorcise) and due to the nature of this ability and the ones below, he’s classed as an unregistered special grade

his cursed technique is cursed energy nullification and renders the users cursed energy output, you guessed it, NULL. it’s limited to physical touch with an after effect of around 5 seconds, enough for him to land a quick physical hit on you or begin making an escape, likewise though that cursed techniques that don't require touch cannot be used against him (think chuuya's gravity maniplation and how it doesn't work on dazai)

cursed tools will work on him in the sense that the tool itself may slash, cut, ?? shoot ?? at him and he can be physically harmed by the action, but the cursed energy imbued in the tool will not effect him and again, the cursed energy on the tool will be rendered null for an after effect of 5 seconds if it touches him

his domain expansion is No Longer Human, a dark and vast space that renders all inhabitants cursed energy captured within it useless, they’re just like regular people. the same goes for cursed spirits caught either in his technique by touch, or his domain expansion, because while their physical body is there they simply cannot use techniques, so you’re just fighting a monster without any special cursed skills

within bsd it's shown that if an ability user possesses an ability that they can trap their opponent inside, dazai is still able to nullify that too, this would work the same for his opponents domains, he cannot be kept inside them - or rather the effects of them

don’t work on him

to avoid the destruction of his domain, the domain itself it creates two other mirror images of dazai, therefore making it harder to discern which one to attack to break the domain (taken as there are three ages which are significant within his canon timeline. 15, 18, 22)

the pm and the ada still exist in this universe and simply work in tandem to protect yokohama from cursed spirits. the pm do their regular business alongside this at night and the ada during the day, whilst also taking on cases related to cured spirits / energy. some members of either affiliation may have at one time been aligned with jujutsu society but left of their own volition / other circumstances

dazai was aligned with the pm, following a similar journey in his story he later leaves and joins the ada or whatever they'd be called in the jjk verse :)

if you asked him, hey dazai how would you solve the main jjk storyline, he's handing you a loaded gun like ???? EASY ????

"Do you belong someplace, dou bébé?" It seems not, the little beast impresses upon him. "I would pet you, darling, but you're absolutely filthy. Quite disgusting. Don't pout, it isn't your fault. -- Can you tell what it is?" he suddenly turns his attention back to Emma again in the midst of his conversation with the mysterious rotten animal.

Wellengang der Herzen (Beach AU)

Summary:

Adam und Leo wachsen als beste Freunde in Saar Beach auf. Adams Vater will aus seinem Sohn einen Profi Surfer machen. Mit achtzehn hat Adam genug von seinem Vater und es treibt ihn in das internationale Glanzlicht des Profi-Surfens. Leo übernimmt währenddessen in Saar Beach die Werkstatt seines Vaters und verdient sein Geld mit der Reparatur und Instandhaltung von Bootsmotoren und Hochseefisch- & Tauch-Trips für Reiche. Fünfzehn Jahre später zieht es Adam zurück nach Saar Beach, wo er wieder auf seine Jugendliebe Leo trifft.

Leo als vermauerter Fischer/Mechaniker, der sein Herz verschlossen hat und kein Hemd ohne Ölflecken besitzt, und sich durch die reichen Yacht-Besitzer und Feriengäste vögelt, manchmal zum Spaß, manchmal gegen Geld. Der einen Stamm-Yachtinstandhaltungs-Gast hat, den er ganz heiß findet und bei dem er überlegt, ob es nicht mehr werden könnte, bis der ihm offenbart, dass sie sich erst nach dem Wochenende wieder treffen können, weil seine Familie kommt. Er vermisst seine Jugendliebe, aber weiß, er muss allein klar kommen.

Adam als erfolgreicher (pampiger, bad boy) Profi-Surfer, dem das Glanzlicht von Anfang an zu viel war, der den Sport aber als einzigen Ausweg aus seinem Leben in Saar Beach sieht und der denkt, er kann nichts anderes, als Profisportler zu sein. Als sein Manager/Liebhaber ihn gegen ein jüngeres Modell eintauscht, erinnert er sich, dass Geld kein Glück kaufen kann und zieht zurück nach Saar Beach, um zu sehen, ob er nicht vielleicht dort noch mit diesem Jungen, der ihm die ganzen Jahre nie aus dem Kopf gegangen ist, die große Liebe finden kann.

Leo will nicht die zweite Wahl sein und befürchtet, dass Adam zum Profisport zurückkehrt. Er will nicht schon wieder übergangen werden und deshalb nichts von Adam wissen. Adam hat es schwer, Fuß in Saar Beach zu fassen, weil er keinen Job hat und hört die Rufe der Sportwelt. Vielleicht sollte er doch einfach weitersurfen?

Zaghafte Annäherung folgt, inkl. Drama im dritten Akt, happy ending.

"Why do you feel responsible for them? Do you think they'll spare you a second thought?" He didn't understand Hyun-su's need to be the Hero of Green Home when he received nothing but grief from those he was trying to help.

With a sigh, Ui-myeong watched the other, ready to give chase if he tried to run. He still wasn't used to this new body he'd taken over; a freshly dead corpse he'd found in the wreckage outside. Probably someone who thought he could escape the monsters. Idiot.

"We're leaving now because if we don't, you won't come." If he knew this guy like he thought he did — and Ui-myeong was confident he did even after their short time together — there was a high chance he'd attempt to follow the survivors. And if that were to happen, did he really think the military would treat him kindly?

"I'm asking you nicely; get in the car." Couldn't Hyun-su see that this was for his own good? That Ui-myeong was looking out for him when nobody else was? He would protect him, help him develop his monster side, and then Hyun-su would finally see Ui-myeong's vision; that monsterization was the next step in evolution. Fully embracing that change was the only way Hyun-su would be able to rid himself of the shackles that kept them connected to the human race and his own human weaknesses.

I know it's a reach, but I just wanna tell you guys the parallels between each Sweet Home series and Spider-verse animation movies

Their part 1 focusing on random strangers stuck in one place being a found family, the protagonist losing an important mentor figure, ending with the protagonist getting separated from his new friends

Their part 2 set on a more or less one year time skip after the events of part 1, more new characters, the reunion of the protagonist with his old friends from part 1, how that one new side character the protagonist knew a lot decided to be a bigger threat with their scary ass power, ending with the appearance of "not so nice side" of the protagonist and plot + subplots in part 2 not finished yet

Harvest was in full swing, and while Vergil was out there with the harvest, Souji had just finished with the animals, washing up to start cooking. It would be that and finances, getting inventory for sales since Pierre had asked for quite a few things for his store. Gampleton had also asked for a share of their eggplants so he needed to figure that all out--

"Hmm? You sure do!!" Souji beamed. Asao was so happy to help out. "Hmmm... why don't I roast a few of these for dinner, yes?" Souji leaned down, nuzzling into the boy's hair a little. "You're such a good helper, Asao, thank you so much!!"
