5: first headcanon that pops into my head she had a really hard time connecting to Paige when her daughter was a newborn.  Then during a thunderstorm Paige was crying and didn’t stop until Veronica held her. Nowadays she feels super guilty all the time because her daughter has always craved her love and she just kept letting her down time and time again.

I want to askyour opinion about what Veronica said to Paige in the end of the episode. Do you think that Paige really believe that she hasn't feelings for Walter anymore as she said or she just conning hershelf as Veronica said?I mean i get it from her facial expression that she still has feelings about Walter and she doesn't want to admit it but Veronica said that ''in order for a con to work, you have to believe what you're saying''

Hello anon!  Thanks for your question! 

There is a lot of truth in the statement, “in order for a con to work, you have to believe what you’re saying.”  The more you believe what you are saying (or more like, set up temporary mental blocks to refute in the moment) the less likely you will give off markers to reveal the deception.  If you follow my Scorpion episode reviews this season, you will see that I talk about Paige’s internal conflict and how it contributes to the Waige flip in season 3 in comparison to the developments of season 2.  Paige will always have feelings for Walter, but she has walked away because of Walter’s past actions.  We have seen her hesitate multiple times when it comes to her feelings and how she chooses to manage them.  Therefore, Paige continues to “con” herself the more she denies that hesitation.  

One of the biggest issues plaguing the Waige dynamic this season is a lack of information.  Paige has knowledge of events of which Walter is unaware and vice versa.  While it seems easy to say that all they need to fix their relationship (whether it leads to romance or friendship) is communicate to one another what the other doesn’t know, this has to happen organically given other factors involved.  There’s the possibility that Walter will recover some memories from his hallucinations in 3.03 It Isn’t the Fall That Kills You.  There’s also this lingering question as to whom will let Paige know that Tim doesn’t think Walter pushed him away.  Once these issues are addressed, Walter and Paige can come to a decision about where they want their relationship to go - remain professional colleagues or be more than that.

AN: I needed to write my count for camp nano, but the jdeas for my novel weren't coming, so I did this. It probably is very ooc and laaaaame, but yeah. Her dress was silvery, just like the stars. Reasonably, Walter knew that the stars were not silver, they were just luminous spheres of plasma, held together by their own gravity. But now he just couldn’t help himself marvelling at the sight of Paige, clad in a strapless, silver dress, with a cut on the side, which was showing more than enough of her long, tanned legs. Maybe she was not a star. Maybe they were a star, when they were together. He might’ve been the coconoction of radioactive elements of space, and maybe she was the gravity that held him from falling apart. She had seen him collapse unto himself, crumbling like a castle made out of cards during an earthquake. But she was always there, a steady force that helped him regain equilibrium. Or maybe it was the reverse. Just as he was there for her. When Veronica waltzed back in her life, when Ralph’s life had been threatened over and over again, when Tim left, when her life was in danger. In that moment, even if Tim left and Walter (and the whole team) knew Paige was not dating anyone, he felt as if she was a star far, far away, and he was just a man on Earth. Paige shoot him a small smile, full of affection, like she always did, and he offered her his hand for the last steps of the staircase, even if she didn’t need it. He smiled in return, or maybe, something akin to Toby’s voice, grinned like a fool in love, and helped her. ‚You look... stunning,’ he said, managing to keep his voice steady. Paige’s cheeks reddened. ‚Yeah, looking good there, Dineen!’ Toby’s voice broke their moment, accompanied by a smack. ‚My liver!’ he cried out in pain, when someone, most probably Happy, hit him. ‚Thank you,’ Paige replied to him, her voice almost a whisper. ‚Are you ready for leaving? Henshall’s opening starts in twenty, and we need to be there before he gets kidnapped for swapping that Monet from the mob.’ Paige nodded, holding her dress up so it wouln’t get dirty from the floor of the garage. That was the moment when it struck Walter: they were not just two stars, they were part of the same solar system. It was a stupid comparison he heard Sylvester make when he was talking to Megan, but suddenly, it made sense. Paige was their Sun. Cabe was Jupiter because he was the oldest. Toby and Happy, now that they managed to settle their relationship were Uranus and Neptune. Happy was obviously, Uranus, because she could be the coldest of them all, and Toby was Neptune, the one who spins on his own axis very quickly. God knew how many times Walter heard him lose train of a thought and in the next second, started with another. Sylvester would be Venus, because Venus was Megan’s favorite planet. Ralph would be the Earth, because he got his warmness from his mother and learnt to use his IQ from all of them. Walter thought he might have been the Moon. The Earth’s Moon. He was helplessly rotating around Ralph and Paige, never on the same orbit as them. He could easily crash with Ralph, on different matters, and he could definitely burn himself by telling Paige he loved her. ‚Walter, are you alright?’ Paige’s voice ripped him from his thoughts. ‚Yes, of course, I’m fine,’ he quickly said, stumbling over his own words. ‚Shall we?’ he offered his arm. Paige took it and bid farewell for a while to the team, before exiting the garage together.
