made another tiefling durge because i wanted to do a more evil playthrough and it wouldn't fit gvyndell. and thats gone as well as you may expect (ive fallen in love with him and the rate that i keep creating new characters and falling in love with them is extremely unsustainable and will require more time to daydream scenarios and lore than there are hours in the day)
but in my defense he's really pretty
#finn speaks#baldur poasting#i say more evil because im too much of a pussy to do shit like raid the grove and such so#im justifying it by playing him not as Evil Murderhobo but moreso sick freak who just does whatever will be the 'funniest'#sees himself as better than everyone else. doesnt raid the grove because refugees being slaughtered by goblins isnt twisted and funny enoug#also he's better than a bunch of goblins#<- guy who has to compulsively justify every decision he makes for roleplay reasons otherwise he feels like a fraud#this guy has also fucked gortash. btw#his name is verryn! all this yap and i havent even mentioned his name wtf#okay someone take my keyboard away

[Tan Li Ying Verryn] HCI and User Experience
The author claims that there has been a shift in the understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) and user experience (UX) over time. While HCI used to be more concerned with the way the technology presented itself to the users, UX is more centred around the way the technology makes the user feel, as well as their experience with the particular technology. The authors believe that considering user autonomy and assuming that the consumers are not just passive receivers is a big reason why UX must be considered in the design process: technology is an experience.
Apple products can be considered revolutionary when we discuss about UX. Each new model that is released aims to release new features and physical changes to their products to enhance the UX for their consumers. For example, the gradual change from having a home button to removing it and incorporating Face ID takes into consideration the difficulties faced by users and aims to simplify processes as much as possible. Logging into your phone becomes a one step process from a two-step process. Although it may seem simple, this constant simplification is in lieu with shorter attention spans and the increasing demand for fast and easy use of technology by consumers.
I agree with the authors that UX is a very important component when designing a product. However, considering the Apple example earlier, it is evident that the considerations of the consumers not only includes how the product works for them, but also depends on the brand name and how well the product is marketed. Apple first gained worldwide recognition and fame because it had considerably new interfaces that revolutionized the way people communicated. Other than incorporating physical and technological features, Apple’s marketing also contributes to an aspect of their UX. Their ads previewing the features of the phone and associating it with professionalism, minimalism and aesthetics have greatly influenced their consumers to believe that these factors or feelings are achievable by owning an Apple product. However, one may argue that the Apple products now prioritise monetary gains over UX. There has been an uproar regarding Apple making their products too exclusive from the market, such that only Apple products work best with each other. The change in their earphone jack to differentiate themselves from other brands makes it difficult to use an Apple phone and earphones from another brand. This cannot possibly be a good idea for UX, yet it was gradually assimilated into all their products, from providing an adaptor to totally changing their earphone jacks. Despite multiple flaws in UX, Apple still continues to have support for all their products, suggesting that consumers do not solely consider the UX when deciding to use a particular product.

Transmission electron micrograph and diffraction patterns of cubic TiO particle from melt containing 1.38 mass% Ti
Inclusion formula: TiO Inclusion type (Macro/Micro/Nano): Nano [...]
Note: This paper reports on an investigation of solid titanium oxide inclusions, which have been identified by combining different methods of analysis on quenched samples. These samples were taken from a Fe-Ti-melt at 1600°C, quenched in cold water then mounted and polished for optical microscopy. The oxide inclusions were analysed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Both single crystal and polycrystalline diffraction patterns were used to identify the oxides by comparing the d spacings with those in the ICDD XRay Diffraction (XRD) database. XRD was used to analyse the oxide particles on the top of slow cooled samples.
It was found in the TEM study that the similarity of the diffraction patterns of the various phases meant that unique identification was difficult to achieve in some of the diffraction patterns. However, TiO, Ti2O3, Ti3O5, Ti4O7 were identified in quenched samples, while TiO2, FeO x TiO2 and iron oxides were seen in slow cooled samples. It was also confirmed that the type of oxides is related to titanium content of the samples.

Church Paid People to Pretend God Healed Them
(CL) – South African news channel SABC1 has done an investigative report on Pastor Alph Lukau and Alleluia Ministries International (AMI), the church where a man named “Elliot” was allegedly raised from the dead on February 24, 2019. Although the incident has gone viral, with many mocking it, many others still believe in Lukau’s integrity and that the “miracle” was real. “To use that vulnerability for any kind of religious gain, which is false, I quite frankly think is criminal,” said Bishop Paul Verryn, who is with the Methodist Church of Southern Africa.

History
Born into slavery, Qizulth was taught to hide his Force-sensitivity once it was discovered. His mother feared what would happen to him if it was found out, so he did what he could to keep quiet about it. From a young age, he was forced to work in awful working conditions, mining with little more than primitive tools. It caused him to develop breathing, back, and hand problems by the time he was about thirteen.
His overseers discovered his Force-sensitivity when he lashed out at one of them for threatening his mother after she’d fainted; he started choking one of them, nearly killing the man. He found himself separated from his mother and escorted to Korriban shortly thereafter. He was only about fifteen at the time.
Soon apprenticed to Zash, there was a time he became incredibly arrogant and power-hungry with his newfound freedom, killing just for the sake of feeling in control. Upon finding companionship with Talos and Ashara, however, he mellowed out some - though he has remained dramatic and over-confident to this day.
After the events with Thanaton and finding himself on the Dark Council, Qizulth chose to release the spirits bound to him due to he, himself, knowing how it felt to be enslaved. He joined the Council at only eighteen/nineteen-ish, and it often caused him to easily get on the other Councilors’ nerves due to his energy, sarcasm, and inability to sit through a meeting.
Come Shadow of Revan, he often butted heads with his newfound Republic allies. He didn’t like working with them, and dragged his feet at every opportunity. It wasn’t until Ziost that he got the reality check he needed and started cooperating - they were all after the same goal, after all.
After Ziost, Qizulth returned to Belsavis without informing anyone of his whereabouts, in the hopes of perhaps confiding in Ashaa, or finding something hidden within the prison’s walls, for help dealing with the Emperor. One wrong turn and a malfunctioning door left him trapped in a stasis chamber; to the rest of the galaxy, it seemed he’d disappeared without a trace.
Allies of Barsen’thor Synnda V’ehsz (the Condemned, who he’d taken the side of and aided during the prison break so many years before) later got into contact with the Jedi about a lead: The Ruin, the starship of Darth Nox that had gone missing with him, was on Belsavis. Hidden in a dense part of the jungle and in bad shape, one of them had stumbled across it while hunting. Talos, Andronikos, and a small group of Jedi and Sith, proceeded to search for him and eventually found Qizulth frozen in time, freeing him.
He became a member of the Alliance shortly thereafter. He and Synnda became close friends, often chatting about ancient artifacts and cultures. Throughout KOTFE/ET, he was an important member of the Alliance, though into Onslaught he returned to the Empire for a time, reclaiming his seat on the Council. However, he couldn’t find it in himself to stay, and fight against those he once called friends, so he left once again. He ended up joining the Alliance’s ancient research/archaeology team.

Match Report
Brumbies U20 vs QLD U20
Sunday, 26th of March 2017
The Brumbies U20’s have fallen to the Queensland Reds U20’s, by a score line of 31-11, an unfair reflection of their competiveness in the game. Ultimately, the Reds overpowered the Brumbies, showing their class which has given them a perfect record in the competition.
The Brumbies got off to a good start, playing confidently off the back of an impressive win against the Force in the previous round. It took them just five minutes to open the scoring, with full-back Jamie Kotz kicking a penalty goal.
The Brumbies were dominating and went close off a wonderfully worked move off the lineout. Hooker Sam Thomas threw short to Brodie Leber, with Leber popping straight back to Thomas, releasing him down the wing. Thomas showed real pace, as the Reds struggled to cover back. It seemed he was sure to score but a foot in touch denied the Brumbies their first try.
The Reds began to come back into the game, their forceful forward pack leading the charge. The brumbies defended admirably though, holding off the Reds phase after phase. Five metres out from the Brumbies line, the Reds swept wide looking to finally breach the Brumbies line. Sensing his team was in trouble, Brumbies new outside centre, Kuti Tahau, shot out of the line and put in the tackle of the season, a truly phenomenal hit. The Reds infringed at the breakdown, and the Brumbies managed to clear their lines.
With five to go in the first half, the Reds eventually wore down the Brumbies. Superb hands by the reds back-line down the short side gave Poasa Naiuwatawalu the chance to coast in for the Reds first points of the day, with scrum-half Harry Nucifora adding the extras. The Brumbies, unlucky to go into half time, 7-3 down.
The Brumbies started the second half as they had the first. A good up-and-under by Jackson Duffy was chased by centre Trai Henderson. Reds full-back Alex Horan took the high ball well, but was immediately crunched by Henderson in the tackle, and excellent counter-rucking by the exceptional pair, Angus Allen and Darcy Swaine, forced a penalty at the ruck. Kotz stepped up, and split the posts from 40 metres out, leaving the score at 7-6.
The Reds answered back a few minutes later. Off the back of a scrum, which was beginning to get the upper hand on the Brumbies, Reds centre Dylan Riley cut a beautiful line and tore through the Brumbies defence, dotting down for the Reds second try. Nucifora kicked the conversion, extending the visitors lead to 14-6
The Brumbies were not discouraged, dominating the ball and territory after the score. Pressure from the home-side forced a penalty at the ruck. The Brumbies chose not to take the three points and went to the corner. Confusion at the lineout seemed to break down the move, with the Reds tapping back inside their own try line. It appeared that the Reds would simply touch down and give the Brumbies a five metre scrum, but the ball was spilled, and substitute David Veryne was on hand to score for the Brumbies. Kotz misses the extras, the score now 14-11.
The Reds didn’t panic, and showed why they had gone undefeated in the competition. First, they kicked a penalty, out-half Hamish Stewart taking the kicking duties from replaced half-back partner Nucifora. Moments after, the Reds pulled away, Stewart again the man involved. The talented 10 picked up a loose ball inside the Brumbies 22, showed good feet and crossed the line. Stewart converted his own try, leaving the Brumbies 13 points behind, the score 24-11.
The Reds put the game to bed with five minutes remaining. The Reds backline passed the ball wide and got their lightning winger, Will Eadie, in space. The speedster did the rest, burning the Brumbies defence to score in the corner. Stewart nailed the conversion, and the Reds were now home and dry. The score now 31-11, which is how it finished.
Another tough loss for the Brumbies, in a game where they gave it their all. The Brumbies finish their season, with just one win from four games. Despite their record, the Brumbies were excellent at times, and truly could have won every game they played. With many players returning next year, the future of the Brumbies U20’s is bright.
