Not the creator. Just a friend
Inspired by nychta-luxury so check em out
GN Reader
Creator will be referred to as S/O though you are not dating them.
Pt 2 baby!!
Yandere warning!
When you played Genshin on earth you never had the best luck with Banners. Only ever rolling a few of the many 5 stars in the game. Still, there was always a special joy you had when you rolled those characters for the first time. Many people would say "They finally came home!" Once they've finally gotten the character they wanted.
But you never thought of it like that. These characters you wished for already had homes. Homes they would be leaving to join you. To fight for you.
It was never "They've finally come home!!"
For you... It was always...
"Thank you. For answering my call. And fighting by my side."
The very first to answer your call.
Was Venti.
You waved goodbye to the Bard as you ran back the way you came. Only to stop as soon as you reached the entrance of Mondstat. Get to Inazuma! Easier said than done. As of right now, you were completely broke. So even if you could get to Liyue you’d have no way of paying for transport to get from there to Inazuma.
Biting your nails, you stood and thought of a way to get to Inazuma. A way that didn’t include swimming across an ocean. The only way that came to mind would be to travel to Liyue and pay the Crux or some other crew take you there by boat.
This however brought up another problem. You didn’t have any money. Not a single mora to your name. Forget getting to Inazuma, you’d be screwed if you had no way to pay for food.
“Oh? You’re still here?” You were snapped out of your thoughts and turned to face Venti once more. “I thought you’d be halfway to Liyue by now with how you were running.” He joked as he sent a playful wink.
You could only laugh in slight embarrassment yet the perfect cover story came to mind. “Haha… yeah, about that… I was so excited to meet the creator that I spent all my money just trying to get here. There’s no way I can get home now, much less get to Inazuma.”
“I see…” Venti placed a hand on his chin as he racked his brain for an idea. “Well… if you want to meet the creator, then I’d suggest you go…” Venti stops for a moment in contemplation, his eyes grow dull for a moment as he simply stares into your own. The silence is deafening as you feel the wind stop for a moment.
"...Get a job! I know the perfect place!" Venti says suddenly, the surroundings and himself going back to normal as he speaks. Grabbing you by the hand Venti began to drag you somewhere, with a smile appearing on his face as you run alongside him. You were taken by surprise. While that was a pretty normal answer you had to keep in mind that this was Venti you were talking to.
Not like you could act like he said something strange anyway. For all, he knew you just met. So giving Venti a reason to look into you would be a death sentence if you suspected he was as devoted to his "Creator" as you thought he was.
"Right but... If their Grace was already here, wouldn't it be better to find a job in Liyue in case they visit that nation next?" You ask. Venti turns to you and you see the dull look in his eyes return for but a moment, quickly being replaced with his earlier glee. "Nope!" He replied as he stuck out his tongue. Trying to emphasize what a bad idea that was.
Why was he acting like this? This wasn't right! You weren't even the creator!
Those were the words that went through your head...
And Ventis. He had just met you! So why did you make him feel this way?! Holding your hand in his own made him feel like his heart would jump out of his chest. Was it right for him to just drag you along behind him?
Venti's thoughts drifted back to the creator. How he often felt in their presence. The emptiness Venti felt as he and many others worshipped them with such vigor. It never felt right!
When Mondstat had done a festival to wish their creator farewell Venti spent the majority of his time in Angel's share. Drinking away without a care. Not like the creator minded. The creator only ever seemed to call Venti when they needed something and shooed him away once he was done.
But right now. All Venti wanted to do was keep holding your hand. It felt familiar. It felt warm. It felt... right.
When you asked if it would have been better to leave. To go to Liyue. Venti never felt so... upset. What did Liyue have that Mondstat didn't? Surely this place is better than that restricting nation with all its contracts! Surely you'd be happier here! Right!
He hasn't even had the chance to ask you your name! When Venti had said earlier that he knew the perfect place for you to work. He lied. He just didn't want you to leave. He too had come up with the idea for you to leave to Liyue.
He'd never hated an idea he'd come up with so much.
So now Venti was dragging you about. No destination in mind. So he did the only thing he could think to do in this situation.
"My name is Venti! You're gonna love Mondstat!"
He told you his name.

Genshin play through update! Just hit Adventure Rank 23, so that means I can finally do the Liyue Archon Quest! I'm gonna do it..like, the day after tomorrow, cause I have things to do tomorrow, but I'm excited!
Did a ten-roll on the standard banner with Acquaint Fates so I could get some Stardust and get some Intertwined Fates, and uh...
I got Jean.
And a Amber constellation.
...Cool!
Started using Noelle too! She's fun! I plan on crafting and leveling up her weapon soon, cause right now she's not really doing much damage.
I also attempted to do some Dragonspine quests...and no. Just...just no.
WHY ARE THE ENEMIES SO HARD AND STRONG??
I'M JUST A MEASLY LEVEL 20, THE ENEMIES ARE LIKE OVER 30
I noped out of there as soon as two of my characters got bodied by Ruin Guards. Nuh-uh.
Oh gosh, I hope enemies in Liyue isn't over 30...oh boy...
Anyways, I think that's it! Currently have around 20 pulls saved up! Saving ALL the pulls for Venti! I REFUSE to use my primogems on anyone other than him.
Alright, cool! Uh...thanks for reading!

Jealousy-Jealousy: A New Banner version B1 (Bennett, Diluc Ragnvindr, Kaedehara Kazuha, Kaeya Alberich)
A new character banner is just around the corner and the excited you couldn’t help but rave about how cool they are. Naturally, you pre-farmed materials and even spent moolah for a five-star weapon, claiming they deserve only the best of best (Meaning: four star weapons and artifacts are not allowed!! And let’s not get started on the artifact stats! 😡).
Inside the world of Genshin, your bond ten boys couldn’t help but feel jealous. The flames of jealousy fueled further when you used them to grind for the new character’s items. How sickening was it to think that they have become stepping stones of your new favourite character?
The boys decided. When they materialize in your world, they will make sure to mark you and to indulge in their sinful fantasies of you. You are theirs and only theirs, after all. But they need to be oh-so-careful not to wake you up…because when you do, they will be pulled back into Teyvat immediately. 😥
Contents include [a brief scene introduction], [the actual chilis], and [after you wake up].
Starring : Bennett, Diluc Ragnvindr, Kaedehara Kazuha, Kaeya Alberich (separate)
Tags / Warnings : 🌶️ [Mild Chili] for Baby Bennett; Bennett's scene is longest (I think) because the bb is hesitant; 🌶️🌶️ [Chilis] Seggs; Implied rape; Somnophilia; Petnames (if it bothers you); Obsessive men; OOC Diluc*?*; Imagine Red Dead of the Night Diluc; Use of chains; Master-Servant; Mentions of desire to impregnate; Self inflicted orgasm denial; Stray cuss words; Schediaphilia; Masturbating; etc.; 👑/🖥️ [SAGAU/(Reverse) Isekai]; Based on the SAGAU/Reverse Isekai concept linked below but spicy
Stray grammatical or spelling errors may have escaped me because I don't have a beta reader. Hopefully they aren't too annoying to turn you off. 🥺
Future Plan : JJ version B2 (Diluc, Kaeya, Kazuha) GangB.; But first, I need to finish everything in the Teasers Maltesers (Jan 13); I apologize to the Bennett smut enjoyers because I just couldn't lewd the cinnamon roll 🥺
Links : Pinned Post, JJ version A1(Albedo / Childe / Venti / Zhongli) Separate, JJ version Venti solo, JJ version A2 (Albedo / Childe / Venti / Zhongli) GangB., SAGAU/Reverse Isekai concept, Teasers Maltesers (Jan 13)
Target audience is female (bodied) reader.
To whoever is reading, please enjoy.

Kaedehara Kazuha
Gentle winds allowed themselves into your room as Kazuha sat beside your open window. His gaze, eventhough his muse were only a few feet away, remained on the romantic view of the sky illuminated by the moon and decorated with stars and clouds. The street outside was quiet as most were tucked under their own blankets. It was a bright, peaceful evening, a stark contrast to the dark, sinister desire stirring in Kazuha's heart.
He tilted his head to observe your sleeping form, his mind a battlefield between conscience and concupiscence - the latter triumphing as it posed a question.
Do you think you'll have another chance?
Kazuha smiled bitterly. From behind the screen, little did you know, your enthusiasm about the upcoming character hurt Kazuha. Your angelic voice used to call his name sweetly. Now it only gushed about the new character who would soon replace him. He terribly wished you wouldn't.
In relaxed strides, Kazuha approached your unconscious form to watch your tempting defenseless body up close. Like a cat, he carefully crawled on top of you so as to not wake you up, and caged your body beneath his.
"My dove, I know the value of freedom but forgive me. I simply cannot let you free," Kazuha softly whispered in your ear before trailing open mouth kisses on your jaw to your lips.
He gingerly cupped your cheeks, caressing them in a soothing circular motion. You really were beautiful. A smile curled his lips as he realized once again how in love he was with you.
"You have captivated me."
Kazuha modestly pressed his lips against yours. A sweet little kiss of apology before he shows you the dark truth hidden inside his heart.
"I want you."
Kazuha pried your mouth to let his tongue inside. You tasted just as sweet as your voice. Like a wandering man, without a home, he sought for solace and found it in you. He hungrily explored your small wet cavern, devouring you as if this was his first decent meal after days.
As if this meal would be his last.
While his lips continued to busy themselves with yours, his hands roamed below to reveal all that was beneath your clothes, exposing you easily as you made no resistance. He then pulled away from the kiss, and observed your stripped body from head to toe. Your body - sculpted perfectly as Kazuha thought - laid bare before him.
"I love you," he declared, eyes clouded in lust and longing.
Kazuha peppered your neck with kisses and suckled on your flesh to intentionally leave his mark. A proof that you were his. As he continued to feast on your exposed flesh, a soft moan escaped your lips.
"Do you like it, my sweet [your name]?" asked Kazuha, leaving your response to his imagination as he knew you couldn't answer verbally.
But your body. Your body shuddered under his touch and kiss.
Trailing kisses, he went lower to your breasts. He smiled at you sweetly as his fingers skillfully tweaked the sensitive nub erected on it. He then buried his face on your chest, regaling upon your lumps of flesh by suckling and giving you long stripes of licks.
Even in your sleep, eventhough you couldn't voice out your desire, your body begged for more of Kazuha. Your sweetness seeped out of your honeypot as it lubricated itself and prepared to take Kazuha's length and girth. This fact did not escape the man who caused your body to react in such a lewd way.
"Haha. My love, you seem to be enjoying this as much as I do," Kazuha teased, chuckling at how honest your body was.
He slid down, littering kisses in its wake and dragging his palm across your body to feel your flesh. Finally he reached your womanhood. Your thighs received abundant smooches, inching closer and closer to rally your already aching cunt. As he reached your core, your scent became stronger.
"May I?"
Kazuha ran his tongue on your slit before landing on your puffy clit and circling his soft muscle around it. Archons, you were so intoxicating! It didn't take long before he slurped directly at the source of the sweet honey, sliding his tongue inside your hole. There, he drank to his heart's content as he scooped your essence with his tongue.
After engaging you in a long foreplay, he decided to free his aching cock from its restraints. He lubricated his shaft with his own pre-cum, pumping up and down to calm his erection. A smile full of obsession painted Kazuha's face.
Finally, he can fuck you.
Kazuha positioned the tip of his cock on your entrance. The skin contact was enough to send shivers down his spine, eliciting an excited gasp from the man. He then buried himself slowly inside you, stretching your walls deliciously.
His thrusts were languid yet forceful as he wanted to relish the way his cock slowly sculpted your walls in the shape of his love. He would unsheathe his manhood from you before slowly pushing himself back in the deepest part of your womanhood. His pace may be relaxed but, through continuous stimulation, it was enough that he felt you squeezing him in a near climax.
"Oh. You're cumming?"
Kazuha squeezed your clit with his thumb.
"Let's cum together."
He pressed his lips onto yours before engaging in a romantic kiss, his pistoning consistently massaging your pussy until it gradually increased in speed. You were clenching so hard, sucking Kazuha deeper inside, and the man just couldn't take it anymore. Soon enough orgasm crashed down on you both, leaving you moaning and panting.
Still inside your cunt, Kazuha plopped on top of you. He was still erect and he knew one round wouldn't be enough. How could he stop now when it felt so good fucking you?
........
Horny. That was what you were when you woke up. Glancing around with eyes in small slits, you found your object of affection. Kazuha, your favourite Genshin character.
Kazuha stood still, smiling at you from behind the screen. You sat up and controlled your character to face the other way before touching yourself. It wasn't ommetophobia. It just felt embarrassing to finger yourself while sweet Kazuha had an innocent grin.
"I'm sorry, baby," you said.
Oh, if only you knew what Kazuha did!
"Mmh... Kazuha...," you sighed breathily as you pleasured your lady parts. "Go ahead and use my body however you want~"
It was a shame Kazuha couldn't watch the show. But at least he knew you were thinking about him as you touched yourself. Plus he learned you liked it rough. All he asked was for you to give him another chance. He would make your body know what heaven felt like.

Diluc Ragnvindr
Diluc grouched at himself. He loosened his collar in an attempt to calm down. This was a dumb idea - a seriously dumb idea. A dumb, risky idea. A dumb, risky, immoral idea. Everything in it was wrong. How did the thought even cross his mind?
Yet his cock reminded him as it twitched inside its tight restraints, begging him to please - just please do it one time! Just once and then they'll stop.
After all, this might be your only opportunity.
Diluc once again grumbled as he was in a conflict. It was no lie that he wanted to keep you. He wanted to own you. He wanted to make you his and he would do anything even if it meant he needed to resort to extreme measures. But then again, it was wrong. He shouldn't do such an indecent thing just to ensure you were his. What if you woke up and - for some reason he didn't dematerialize - you caught him corrupting your defenseless body? Would you still think of him as a hero? As a good guy? Would you still use him in-game if he were transported back to Teyvat?
Coming back from a trance, he found the answer to his dilemma. His body had moved on its own. He had already discarded his upper clothes and had caged your now naked body beneath his. He had chained your hands above your head, and now you looked like a beautiful damsel in distress.
While Diluc was your captor.
"You aren't going anywhere, darling," he proclaimed, bringing his hand to cup your cheeks. "Heh... How foolish of me. Of course you aren't...not in your sleep."
Diluc pried your mouth open so he could explore you with his tongue. He imagined you squirming beneath him, conflicted as he was now whether if you wanted him to touch you or not.
Your pretty mouth. "Master Diluc" was what you usually called him aside from "Daddy Diluc". Archons, he'd burst if he heard your lovely lips call him that while doing sex. Unfortunately for him, he could only hear you call him lewdly when you were awake.
On normal circumstances, he would love to engage you in foreplay to prepare you for the inevitable stretch. But right now, his cock was raring to massacre your defenseless pussy.
"Heh... Look at how hard I am for you. Take responsibility, [your name]."
He spreaded your thighs and clipped them to his side, giving him a pretty view of your glistening cunt. Fuck, Diluc just wanted to ram himself and bury his cock deep inside you right now.
"Unf...," you moaned.
He was balls deep and damn it was heaven! Despite forcing his way past your entrance, you were still asleep. Good.
Diluc tested the waters by doing languid thrusts at first. When he noticed you weren't waking up, he increased his speed and force by pounding onto you with great vigor and passion - not paying mind to anything else other than pleasure.
Even when he felt Teyvat was tugging him back.
"Nhh...," in a half-asleep state, you hummed.
Diluc clicked his tongue and slowed his movements. He leaned down to lessen the gap between your faces, observing your slumbrous face.
"Darling, go back to sleep and let Daddy make you feel good," he cooed, reverting to slow grinding of his hips onto yours.
"'Luc...," you murmured, blinking your droopy eyes before shutting them again.
The warmth of Diluc's body along with the heavenly sensual feeling on your pussy cajoled you to continue your sleep. Now, Teyvat wasn't dragging Diluc back. Good.
He once again continued to piston his manhood, this time not minding if he would dematerialize naked. The friction of his raging cock inside your snug wet walls felt so good to bother.
He swore he'll knock you up. That way, everyone would know you were his. You would look cute in a maternity blouse while your belly bulged in carrying his child. He wondered if you could come to Teyvat. If you did, he'd make sure to hide you in his mansion so none of your present or future characters would pester you.
Because you were his.
Too much stimulation made your cunt orgasm, milking Diluc's big fat cock in a delicious squeeze and making him follow suit. He had been denying himself orgasm that he spurted a load of warm thick semen inside of you.
After resting inside your womanhood did Diluc finally pull out. Archons, you were so full, weren't you? He ogled at your mixed cums oozing out your pussy. What a naughty girl you were, spilling everything like this?
He grunted, scooping the wasted essence in his digits before fingering them back inside your pussy.
"Don't waste any drop, darling."
........
You squeezed your thighs together in hopes of relieving your cunt. It wasn't a surprise you woke up in the mood. After all, you had a sweet erotic dream last night.
Piercing red eyes. Fiery red hair. Your partner in your dreams was Diluc Ragnvindr, your DPS Pyro Daddy.
You lazily positioned yourself to face your Genshin boy. Meanwhile, Diluc had just finished adjusting his gloves. He then returned to stare back at you, idly standing somewhere in Teyvat.
"I had a dream about you last night, Master Diluc," you narrated, staring directly into Diluc's eyes as you began touching yourself.
Holy fuck, Diluc in Red Dead of the Night outfit looked so fucking hot! You could already fantasize what he would do with his chains. Now imagine him disciplining the naughty you.
"A - Ah...! Master Diluc...! You're too big inside me! I'm sorry...!" you cried, splitting yourself up and pretending it was Diluc ruining your pussy.
Heh. He should've known you liked it rough. Had he known earlier, he wouldn't have hesitated to ravage you to his heart's content. He'd do extra compared to what he did before. All while being cautious as to not wake you up, of course.

Bennett
Contrary to his usual energetic and passionate characteristic, Bennett looked worn-out and conflicted as he stared at your peaceful form from across the room. What was the point of materializing in your world? Aside from watching you, could he really do nothing? Was it really impossible to interact with you knowing that tonight might be his last?
Yosh! Let's go, Benny's adventure team!
Where is the Pyro Archon? Bennett.... Bennett... Ah, there you go!
Good night, baby Bennett.
Your kind cheers gave him so much life - better than any Statue of the Seven could offer. Although some of them were exaggerated such as you calling him the Pyro Archon or you titling him the best boy in all Teyvat, still he loved how you appreciated him.
The question was, how long were you going to give him attention?
Sure, he was a support character. Sure, he could be squeezed in almost any line-up. Sure, he was indispensable. But after you pull the new character, he knew you would be all over that newbie instead of him. In fact, you kept gushing about your soon-to-be favourite even if you have not pulled them yet.
"[Your name], I really really like you," Bennett whined.
Mustering his courage, he took a few steps forward. One foot on the front then carefully followed by the other. Slowly but surely, he would reach you using the way he knew how: determination.
But luck was never on his side. Without getting far, the light illuminating your room suddenly blinked, making the place pitch black for a quick moment. Along with the strange phenomenon, he felt Teyvat tried to drag him back.
Bennett paused, fear and disappointment coursing through his body. What exactly happened? Why did the lights flicker? Why did he feel he was going to dematerialize yet was still in your room? Were these signs he was not meant to be with you?
"Ahhh... I'm really, really unlucky, aren't I?" Bennett sighed in defeat.
He wanted to - desperately wanted to at least whisper in your ear. He wanted to convey his emotions: how happy he was whenever you used him and praised him; how sad he was to think you will have someone new; how disappointed he was at himself as he imagined what if he was not a suitable support for the upcoming character's party setup.
"Mmh...," you noised, stirring in your sleep.
He wanted to and he will. After all, he wouldn't be called an adventurer if he didn't take risks. With a newly lit determination, now burning more than ever, he boldly marched forward towards his goal, each step making the butterflies flutter in his stomach.
He will admire you up close.
He will whisper words of affirmation to you.
He will touch you.
"Heh... Hehe...!" Bennett uttered in disbelief. He froze still, not knowing if this was all a dream or not. Yet seeing you in a short distance and actually smelling your fragrant scent told him it was all real. "I - I made it... I made it!"
The young adventurer celebrated as he now stood beside your slumbering form. If he knew he could be this close to you, he would have tried it sooner.
He then excitedly laid beside you and engulfed your body in a warm hug. He leaned his head towards yours and he swore you were the most fragrant he'd ever sniffed.
"Mmh...! You smell so nice," Bennett happily remarked in a hushed whisper.
Euphoric: that was the state Bennett was in. This odd satisfying feeling stirred something inside him - an instinct.
"Hey, uhm...," the adventurer bashfully said. "Is it okay if I kiss you?"
Bennett stared at you as he eagerly awaited your reply.
"O - oops! Hehe...! I forgot you were asleep...!" he sheepishly admitted, laughing at his own foolishness. He pleaded in a monologue, "Then... I'll help myself, okay?"
Nervously, he inched his lips closer to yours. A little more. A little bit more. But the moment he felt your lips on his, he immediately pulled away.
"Ah-! Sorry...!" he fussed, scratching his head in embarrassment.
Focus! He squeezed his eyes shut, breathed in, and exhaled on his mouth. Yosh!
At a steadier pace, with lidded eyes, he approached your lips, and did not shy away when yours and his collided. A simple peck on the lips. It made butterflies flutter in his stomach. Slowly he opened his eyes to see your beautiful face close to him. To think that someone like him had a chance to be with you like this was overwhelming.
He suddenly was timid while thinking about the sweet you and him on a modest date. In embarrassment, he hid his face on the crook of your neck - an area where your scent was more concentrated.
Aside from kissing your lips, can he do more? He glanced at your body from head to toe and immediately noticed how your nightwear hugged your figure. Your seemingly soft lady lumps were accentuated topped with perky nipples. Meanwhile, your smooth plush thighs were exposed and were waiting to be touched. Everything he could have asked was beside him and no one was stopping him to do what he wanted.
Still. Bennett shouldn't do anything more, especially not something indecent. He was already lucky enough to be able to place a shy peck on your lips. He knew he should not be greedy. Instead, he should focus on you. A sweet cuddle was what you needed. Just this was fine.
"Thank you, [your name]."
Bennett hoped his heartfelt gratitude would reach you in your sleep. He loved you and he respected you. Even if you were naked in front of him, he would never take advantage of you. You were kind to him and what would he be if he did you wrong?
........
"Nnhhhh!!" you squeaked, stretching your limbs after a long relaxing rest. "Good morning, Benny!"
You hurriedly washed yourself first before playing your favourite game. As usual, you went to hunt for the new character's materials and artifacts using Bennett and his three other companion.
While farming, a godly rune dropped from the dungeon you were in and it was something your baby boy Bennett could use.
"Hey, hey! This is an awesome artifact for you, Benny!" you chimed after comparing Bennett's current artifact versus the one you recently obtained. It was alright to replace the one Bennett had as it will not affect your piece-set bonus effects.
Bennett, deep down, was glad you still thought of him. You didn't have to give him a better artifact. He didn't deserve it.
"All hail the Pyro Archon!" you exclaimed in a playful tone. "We better prepare you so you can actually become the Pyro Archon and take over Natlan."
Yet here you were, cheering again for him. It was excessive, sure, but he appreciated it very much. It meant the world to him. In truth, he wanted to cry, not in pain but in joy. If he could control his movements, he would grovel and chant you praises. All this time he was afraid you would discard him. Perhaps his fear of being replaced was all in his head after all.

Kaeya Alberich
Beside your peaceful sleeping form, Kaeya laid on his side to watch how beautiful you looked. From time to time he would ever so slightly graze his fingertips on the shape of your face. Discarded on the floor were his accessories and extra layer of clothes, leaving him in his white blouse and tight-fit pants. This scene was a very common one, something of a routine whenever Kaeya materialized in your room. The only difference was that now, Kaeya longed for more.
However, something warned him he shouldn't.
Risk was something Kaeya enjoyed very much. He claimed it would be boring if there were no such hindrances. But you - you were a risk he could not take. One wrong move - only one wrong move might ruin his chances to be with you.
"I promised to accompany you in your journey, did I not? I've kept my word. So don't abandon me, alright?" Kaeya pleaded in a hushed tone before placing a sweet kiss on your cheeks.
"You've always looked lovely, you know? If only you'd allow me to stare at you more."
Kaeya began to kiss your lips passionately while his hands traveled to cup your breasts.
"Heh... It's amusing you don't know I am aware how you ogle at me. Cryo Daddy, wasn't it?"
His fingers skillfully stimulated your perky nipples. Followed by a satisfied hum, your eyebrows, he observed, knitted together momentarily before relaxing once again. That meant your body was reacting to his ministrations. Good.
"Ah - ah... What a naughty girl you are," the Favonius Captain teased as he exposed your womanhood.
"You wouldn't hate me, would you?" Kaeya cooed as he slid his manhood between the plush of your lovely thighs.
Archons, Kaeya felt like he was in heaven!
"Ah...! Angel, s'good...!" Kaeya moaned in between thrusts.
Fucking your thighs. That should be enough to satisfy him, right?
"Hah... Say, angel, you fantasize about this, don't you?"
Being sandwiched by your thighs had Kaeya crazy. His cock twitched and spurted cum. Regardless, Kaeya kept rutting, painting your skin with his essence.
"Fuck-! You're squeezing me tightly, baby doll...!" feeling his cock penetrate your snug velvet walls, Kaeya choked a moan.
He kept himself still, cuddling you from behind in a spooning position. Your warm wet pussy around his cock already felt divine. Imagine how it felt like if he-
......
"Ah, shit...!" he began to thrust his cock in and out. "You feel this, baby girl? Ugh....! Angel, I could come right now!"
But he wouldn't give you his seeds so easily.
"You're so good for me, angel."
As he nibbled on your exposed neck, his hand trailed down to give attention to your puffy clit. His ministrations made your body shudder and your cunt spasm.
"Oh? So this is your weak spot...?" Kaeya teased.
He was so mean to you, riling your pussy up with his fingers as he let his cock sit snugly inside. He didn't even have to move as your self-contracting love-hole massaged his manhood for him. It was the third time you came from just this.
"Mmh... So, so good to me, baby girl," Kaeya growled in excitement. He brought his hand to cup and squeeze your breasts. "Wish we could do this every night."
Kaeya then began to piston his cock once again while stimulating your body further with his free hand. The first thrust made you cum once again, but Kaeya continued to arouse and fuck you. You cumming all over him was in his favour.
"D - damn...! Fuck, baby girl! I'm cumming!" Kaeya let out a guttural moan, rutting into you like an animal in heat. "Fuck...!"
One final thrust drove you and Kaeya into orgasm. His was so hard the he had managed to choke out a low growl.
The night was young. Seeing as you were still in dreamland, he reckoned he could try other things he had in store for you.
"Mmph...," you moaned.
Your dream was so delicious. Your lewd brain vividly simulated how sex felt like, starting from the foreplay down to the head-spinning stretch of your pussy. Sadly, now that you were awake, you realized how lonely your cunt was.
"Mmh... Kaeya, come here," you murmured.
Previously, Kaeya had his back facing the screen as you fell asleep during one of your Teyvat adventures. Now, you had him turn around so you could ogle at the hunky Favonius Captain.
"Kaeya, you're so sexy...," you said, bringing your hand to your crotch area.
Wow, damn! Were you really this wet to the point you've stained your thighs? Perhaps it was impossible but you were indeed horny so you paid no thought as to why your thighs were sullied.
"S - shit...!" you squealed, feeling your orgasm closer than you expected.
-------------------
Damn, you were really too horny, weren't you? No matter. A beautiful lazy morning was ideal for lewd things like this anyway.
Kaeya internally gloated as he watched how you masturbated for him. It seems the risk he took was worth it after all.
Spaces!! The reason why my draft wasn't saving was because of spaces/new lines! 😡😡

Technically two chapters in and I still don’t know exactly what I’m doing lmao- I finally decided to make Childe be Gleb but I’m going down a platonic route instead of the original
I haven’t even figured out who I’m going to choose to be Lilly as none of the people I ship venti with have the same personality as her- But enough about that! Also Kaeya and Albedo will actually interact next chapter-
Warnings: Could be ooc, might not make sense at times, follows the plot of Anastasia the musical (hence the use of dialogue and lyrics from it), a few mentions of death I think this is all I need to note?
Words: 3762
Chapter 1 - A Rumor in Snezhnaya
The Neva Flows
A New Wind Blows
And soon it will be spring
Khaenri’ah? - 1927
Making his way through the crowd, the man shifted the flat-cap that was resting on his head. He had dark skin and long, blue hair that was pulled into a ponytail, draped over his shoulder. Majority of the people, that he was swerving in between, were cheering; their pride and joy present in the tone of their voices. Muttering to himself, the man came to a halt when the crowds became thicker. Amidst the sea of people, a single raised podium peered out of the mix of heads and hats. Proudly displayed on front of the podium was a banner with the revolution’s insignia stitched into it; just the sight was enough to repulse him.
Only a few minutes later did a man appear on the podium, holding his head up; prompting the audience to go completely silent, only coughs and slight shuffles could be heard. Just like the other fatui members, he was wearing a large, white and black coat lined with fur. His fiery ginger hair stood out amongst the monotone backdrops of the city, and country for that matter. If the man recalled correctly, then this would make this fatuus Childe, the eleventh of the fatui harbingers (who now governed this horrendous nation). Before speaking, Childe cleared his throat, a serious expression - that didn’t quite fit his face - present. His lips were drawn into a straight line and his eyebrows were furrowed - not a single speck of light seemed to reflect or shine in his eyes.
“We hear you Comrades! The Revolution hears you!” his voice boomed over the crowded plaza, his young age present in his voice.
“Yes our way is long, and the journey will be hard. After all, the chains of the Kreideprinz were heavy.”
The blue-haired man muttered something under his breath, pulling his flat cap lower. Despite his displeasure at listening to this speech, he made no attempt to move away.
THUD!
Childe slammed his fist against the top of the podium, catching quite a few people off-guard.
“For three long centuries we were bound and entangled in them! Forced to watch them take but never give back! However-!”
“We have broken them!” An animalistic grin breaking out onto his face, it seemed almost unnatural - it made him look crazed. Almost as if planned,  the crowd erupted into applauses and colourful cries.
From where he stood in the crowd, the man grimaced.
Psychopaths. the lot of them. If this is who’s in control, then, Archons save us.
Leaving no delay, the fatui harbinger continued on with his speech.
“Together, as one, We will forge a new Nation! A fair and compassionate Nation, one that will be the envy of the world!” He was clearly passionate about his cause, continuously making gestures with his hands and arms.
“That is the promise we have made, comrade to comrade.”
“The Kreideprinz’s Khaenri’ah, is now the people’s…”
“Snezhnaya!” Childe proudly exclaimed, his grin still spread from ear to ear.
Taking one last look at the overly happy “Snezhnayans”, the blue-haired man stormed past numerous people: some seemingly mortified, still scarred by what’s now “Snezhnaya’s history. Making his way through the alleyways and back routes that had been ingrained in his head since a young age, the man began to complain out loud - for all who wanted to hear.
“They can call it Snezhnaya but it will always be Khaenri’ah! New name, same old empty stomachs!”
His eyes were narrowed; furrowed eyebrows pushing them down slightly further than they already were. He had lowered his pace, yet that didn’t make a difference considering he was walking with long strides. A variety of people threw all sorts of looks at him - ranging from fear, anger and confusion. He decided it would be best to keep his rants for himself, in the safety of his mind. Countless times the fatui had told them that a brighter day would be dawning and that it was, apparently, at hand. Just the thought made him roll his eyes. It was ironic, most days the only weather they received was snow, rain or just miles of raging, grey clouds. If he had any actual faith in the gods, he might’ve even said that it was a punishment from Celestia itself. Much like the last few times he walked these paths, he noticed more houses and tents empty unlike the other days. Quite often it would be those who openly spoke out or resisted the revolution’s changes. After all…
He who argues disappears.
Mumbling and muttering some more to himself, the man stumbled out onto one of the many overcrowded streets.
“Hail our brave new land!” A group of bystanders cheered, causing a chorus of people to follow suit, whether it was out of commitment or fear was yet to be decided. In a mocking tone, he joined in their chants and exclamations; to be honest, he held no respect towards thier new leaders - or the revolution.
People were claiming that Snezhnaya was a nation on the rise, one that was flourishing; he would have to disagree considering the countless people still living in poverty and famine.
“It’s really very friendly!” And that was only if you didn’t mind the spies.
He often overheard people claiming that they were “good and loyal” comrades. It also seemed that suddenly everyone’s favourite colour was red. In the grand scheme of things, their entire situation was gravely underestimated when the people first revolted. Somehow, majority assumed that everything would be better without proper leaders or any important figures. Even ten years later, the economy was still in shambles. It no longer surprised him whenever he heard stories about two dozen or so strangers all having to be crammed into two small rooms. The damned fatui still had the nerves to turn a complete blind eye towards it.
“Everyone will now be seen as equals!” Yeah- as if.
Unfortunately, this appeared to be the apparent price “Snezhnayan’s” would have to pay for their glorious revolution. One thing that nearly every citizen agreed upon, and were thankful for, was the gossip that would spread around their pitiful city. Even as the blue-haired man headed towards his desired location, he couldn’t help but listen in to the many conversations people were immersed in.
“Have you heard?”
“There’s a new rumour going round the *whole* of Snezhnaya!”
“You couldn’t possibly not at least have heard parts of it.”
“You do know what people are saying on the street?”
“Well…”
“Although the King did not survive, one son may be still alive.”
He nearly stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening slightly. He *needed* to know more.
“The Prince Albedo. But please do not repeat-!”
A slight smile creeped onto his face whilst he continued to keep his head down low. Making his way through the other streets, he kept finding out more and more about the rumours concerning the supposedly late Prince Albedo.
“They say her royal grandmama will pay a royal sum to someone who can bring the prince back!”
That was when he got an idea, one that he didn’t realise would completely change his life. Rushing down the street, he quickly barged into the small building; gathering his thoughts for just a moment.
Only a seconds later someone else barged inside, a shorter man with dark, blueish-green hair that was pulled into two short braids at the front. He seemed dishevelled (the first thing that was unusual about him today) and a horror-stricken expression had been painted onto his face (and that was the second thing that seemed unusual about him today). Before he could ask what was wrong, the other man cut him off.
“Kaeya!” He half shrieked and shouted, “They’ve closed another border! We should’ve gotten out of Snezhnaya whilst we still could!”. He had placed his hands on Kaeya’s shoulders, shaking him as if that would help get his point across. Once more Kaeya’s eyes narrowed as he began to fiddle with the end of his ponytail. Inhaling and exhaling slowly, he calmed himself down - putting his usual fake smirk on. Kaeya’s know-it-all smile was often used as a defence; it would often be fake, a way of faking confidence, a way of pretending he had it all under control. The shorter man continued to pace around the small room, his hat threatening to slip off of his head.
“Khaenri’ah was lovely whilst royalty was in!” He stated, which was something that the two of them knew very well.
“I called myself a count, as though I’d always been! I hobnobbed with the royals,” he continued to recall whilst his lips tugged upwards ever so slightly, clearly reminiscing about years that had passed. Within a matter of seconds it changed into a frown.
“But then a change of luck-! The king is dead, the royals fled and comrade now we’re stuck!”
The man had turned to face Kaeya whilst he said that, once again shaking him by his shoulders. Debating it in his head once more, Kaeya realised that his idea might actually be their one way out of this hell-hole.
“Venti,” Kaeya spoke, a grin dawning on his face. Venti had loosened his grip on Kaeya’s shoulders, allowing his arms to drop by his sides. One of Venti’s eyebrows raised whilst he waited for Kaeya to continue speaking.
“I’ve been thinking about the prince Albedo.” Kaeya announced, his confidence not wavering in the slightest. Almost immediately, Venti’s face practically dropped.
“Not you too, Kaeya!” He groaned, Venti covered his face with his hands - already sick of hearing the constant whispers of a prince who was meant to be dead. Slouching slightly, Kaeya placed a hand on Venti’s back, his other hand making gestures as he began to sell his plan to the (no-longer) Count - Venti.
“Sure, it’s a rumour, purely a mystery, but-! It’s the Prince Albedo who will help us fly!” Kaeya proclaimed, a grin had spread right across his face. Venti started to catch onto what Kaeya was suggesting; his eyes widening slightly for a few seconds. Kaeya picked a red scarf up from the table in the corner of the room and begun wrapping it around his neck, even whilst doing this he didn’t stop speaking.
“You and I, friend,” Kaeya exclaimed as he quickly shot his arm out and pointed at Venti.
“Will go down, in history!” Kaeya claimed, flinging both of his arms up in the air, a genuine smile on his face. He pulled the door open and gestured for venti to go through, giving him a dramatic small bow as Venti passed by. Venti’s lips were curled into a small, yet smug, smile. Side-by-side, the two of them walked down the overly-packed streets of the city. In an attempt to keep up with the taller man, Venti had to do a sort of jog. The wind whistled in his ears, which was a surprisingly calming sound amidst the chaos of the always-awake city. Venti’s gaze flickered over to his friend, who (to nobody’s surprise) was still rambling.
“We’ll find a boy to the play the part and teach him what to say, dress him up! And take him to Fontaine.” He over-exaggerated a fake accent on the last word. His head was tilted slightly as he turned it to look at Venti, who greeted him with a grin.
“Imagine the reward his old grandmama would pay!” Venti exclaimed, clearly onboard with the idea now.
“Who else could pull it off but you and me!” The two exclaimed as they linked arms.
The two men passed the now mainly empty plaza, only the likes of Childe and a few stragglers were left there. They walked off into the distance, disappearing into the haze created by the swirling snow.
Near the podium at the centre of the small plaza, a man (most likely around Kaeya’s age) had a broom in his hand. He had a long, brown coat on and a hat that loosely fit his head. His skin was as pale as chalk, making his ashy-blonde hair stand out. It was kind of long, just going past his shoulders, with a single short braid in it. Brushing the street clear of snow and other debris - he was making an attempt at keeping his head down.
BANG!
“NO!” He shrieked as he collapsed on the floor, bringing his hands up to his head and covering his ears. His broom clattered somewhere near him. Somebody was approaching him, he could tell this from the soft crunches in the snow.
“It was a truck backfiring comrade, that’s all it was.” Childe spoke to the man curled up on the cobbled floor. He lifted his head up to look at him, moving his hands from his ears. Very slowly, he pushed himself up onto his knees, still not saying a single word. Childe had bent down and picked up the stray broom before walking over to him.
“Those days are over, neighbour against neighbour.” He claimed in an almost monotone voice, one that didn’t exactly sound reassuring. Childe hooked his arm under the man’s and pulled him up.
“You have nothing to be afraid of.”
It was quite ironic, considering the man could barely stand with his legs threatening to collapse under him any second. Childe’s hand lingered on the man’s arm for a few moments more, his eyes narrowing. Was it concern? Or was it just pity? He retracted his hand, looking over the details of the man’s appearance and expression. He looked…on edge, to say the least.
“You’re shaking….” He spoke despite it being an obvious fact to both of them. The man’s eyes flickered everywhere, skittering even, refusing to look at Childe directly. Quite ironically, the over-confident fatui harbinger began to stumble over his own words.
“….There’s a tea shop just steps from here-“
“Thank you-!” The man shouted as he attempted to snatch the broom from him. The sudden outburst nearly caused Childe to jump, prompting a raised eyebrow from him.
“What’s your hurry?” Childe questioned the man, refusing to let go of the broom.
“I can’t lose this job, they’re not easy to come by.” He quickly explained in hopes of being allowed to go. Throughout the entire exchange he had kept his eyes towards the floor, making him seem scared of everything. Childe loosened his grip on the handle, he was still unable to figure this man out. He seemed familiar, almost like a memory he never really knew - he shook the thought off whilst he watched the man walk away. Both of the man’s knuckles were turning white due to how tight his grip was. Just as he was about to turn the corner, down another street, the man turned his head around. It was then that Childe noticed his bright blue eyes, well, they weren’t quite blue but they weren’t exactly green either. Whatever colour they were, they were astonishingly bright; they surely didn’t fit the bleak landscape of this once-glorious nation.
“Thank you.” The man managed to say, still not offering up a smile. Before Childe could say anything, he had disappeared into the blur of grey and brown coats and hats.
“I- I’m here everyday!” Childe shouted, gesturing at the podium despite the man being long gone now. He felt his cheeks heat up slightly, feeling like a complete fool. Unsurprisingly, this wasn’t the first time he had managed to embarrass himself whilst on the job.
Somewhere on the opposite side of the city, Kaeya and Venti could be found perusing through one of the many less… favourable markets on the outskirts of the city. It was a wonder that the fatui hadn’t intervened with these practices at all during the past ten years. Occasionally they would stop to look at what merchants (although thieves would probably be a better way of describing them though) were offering. Even ten years on since that blood-filled night, people still somehow managed to find items that belonged to the likes of counts, countesses and even the Kreideprinz’s to sell off. One man was attempting to sell a count’s pyjamas whilst another was trying to sell a painting that he swore was Kreideprinz. Stood in the centre of the market, another one of these thieves was selling their wares. His hand was held up high, clasped in it was a small metal trinket of sorts.
“I found this in a palace, initialled with an A!” He announced, a smug smile already settled onto his grime covered face.
“It could be Albedo’s! Now what will someone pay?”
Kaeya dropped down low as he skimmed shelves, every now and then swerving through the crowds or stepping over clutters of stolen trinkets.
“We need something of his to show the old lady…” Kaeya thought out loud, carefully examining items that were on offer. Venti looked at him from the corner of his eyes, one eyebrow was raised.
“There’s more to being Albedo than wearing a tiara, Kaeya.” He spat out, most likely irritated from how long this whole ordeal was taking. Kaeya had turned away from him, already moving onto the next merchant.
“Not much. Look how many people you fooled.” Kaeya countered causing Venti’s mouth to open and quickly close again. Just to add salt to the wound, he hadn’t even bothered to look at him whilst saying that. Kaeya’s eyes landed on the man in the centre.
“How much is that music box?” He inquired as he approached the man, who pulled the lump of finely decorated metal closer to his chest.
“Ah! The music box! It’s genuine Kreideprinz, I could never part with it!” He declared, the tone of his voice suggesting that he was putting on a play. Reaching into the satchel that hung over his shoulder, Kaeya pulled something out with a smirk on his face.
“Two cans of beans, comrade?” Kaeya offered as he held out the cans. The man looked at the music box and then to the cans and then back to the music box.
“Done.” He accepted, the two men proceeded to exchange items.
Venti and Kaeya began heading in the opposite direction of the markets, done with their business for the day. Kaeya was meticulously inspecting the metal music box, noting all the trimmings, its curves and the places where old paint had begun to flake off. Both of them still had a grin on their faces.
“Do you believe in fairytales, Venti?” Kaeya asked whilst he held the music box in front of his only visible eye. Venti closed his eyes - the smile still present.
“Once upon a time, I did.” He answered, shoving his hands into the small pockets of his coat. Quickly turning his body around, Kaeya was directly facing Venti once more, his eyes shining brightly with something that Venti could only assume was determination.
“We’re going to create a fairytale the whole world will believe!” Kaeya exclaimed before moving next to venti again. He firmly patted Venti on the back causing the other man to cough slightly; not that Kaeya noticed anyways.
“Now it’s risky, but not more than usual.” He spoke out loud what they were both thinking. Whilst talking, Kaeya had picked up his pace, prompting Venti to walk quickly as well.
“We’ll need tickets, we’ll need papers, we’ll need nerves of steel!”
With every word Kaeya said, Venti nodded. The two men had reached the plaza once again, this time it was bustling with energy; it was quite funny how much difference an hour could make.
“Yes it’s risky, *a lot* more than usual!” Venti laughed, placing a hand on the back of Kaeya’s shoulder. His eyes now also shared that same light of determination as Kaeya’s - backing out of this wasn’t an option for either of them now.
“We’ll try to cross the border with our princes and our plot,” Kaeya spoke up, throwing what was - presumably - a wink towards Venti (however it was almost impossible to tell due to one of his eyes being covered by an eyepatch and a curtain of blue hair).
“Hopefully disaster won’t ensue,” Venti mumbled, slightly scratching the back of his head, a sheepish grin on his face.
“With luck it will all go smoothly,” Kaeya nodded whilst he shoved the music box into his satchel.
“And with luck we won’t be shot!” Venti laughed once more, constantly switching between confidence and a lightly more cautious mind. Kaeya shrugged before laughing himself.
“Who else could pull it off but me and you?” They both stated as if it was a matter of fact.
“We’ll be rich!” Kaeya exclaimed as he patted Venti’s shoulder.
“We’ll be rich!” Venti repeated whilst he returned the gesture. Both of their grins reached both of their ears, something they noticed as they turned to face each other.
“We’ll be out!”
“We’ll be out!!”
The idea of getting out of this god forsaken nation caused Venti to feel a sort of calming sensation. Just the thought of the taste of freedom possibly being so near them made him want to smile even more.
“And Snezhnaya will have some more to talk about!” The two men declared, shaking hands.
As the two men laughed, the plaza around them was alive with waves of whispers and excited murmurs.
“I heard it from a person who assured me it was absolutely true!”
“Have you heard? There’s a rumour in Snezhnaya,”
“Have you heard? Comrade what do you suppose?”
“A fascinating Mystery!” Venti commented, placing his hands on his hips, a smug look appearing on his face.
“The biggest con in history!” Kaeya proclaimed as he flung his arms up in the air; what appeared to be genuine joy showing on his face.
“The Prince Albedo!
  Alive?
  Or Dead?”
“Who knows!?”
Majority of the crowd dispersed after they noticed a familiar red-head appearing on the podium once more.
Kaeya and Venti shared a knowing look, both raising a singular finger to their lips. The taller one had began to snigger with Venti soon following suit.
“I’m assuming you will be able to sort out the other needed part of  our plan?” Kaeya asked whilst the two began walking away, their day starting to become a distant memory.
“Just trust me, I have my ways *and* connections.” Venti answered, nudging him with his elbow. Kaeya simply chuckled in response whilst he took his flat-cap off.

Gonna post my genshin builds because I'm trying to be more active on here I just. Forget that there is a option to actually post your own stuff lmao
Tumblr media
First up is my diluc build I love him so much but crimson witch actually hates me </3 Serpent spine is actually carrying this build it's crazy. Also fun fact, that absolutely ass pyro goblet is actually just. My best pyro goblet. I have shit luck with them apparently but have like ten good cry goblets it is not fair </3
Tumblr media
MY KAEYA the fact that his artifacts are so good is crazy to me because I spent like. Maybe a month total farming for him everything else just somehow came into exsistance idk it's crazy. That cryo goblets I got from the abyss like. Apparently my kaeya is destined to have a good CRIT ratio
Tumblr media
My Childe build is. Temporary. I really wanna build him a bit better but it is what it is his current build is fine. What I really want is more rust refinements but alas the gacha hates me in particular. It's actually kinda funny I got rust literally the ten pull after I lost the 50/50 to Keqing I was so mad about it it's not even funny
Tumblr media
My fischl's crit rate is absolutely awful but it is NOT my fault for some reason I have yet to get a single crit rate goblet for thundering fury oh my god. Her goblet is literally so insane though I still don't know how I managed to get that one
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
My kaveh and venti both just have a bunch of em stacked onto them, since I run bloom kaveh and swirl support venti (although I do plan on getting artifacts for aggravate kaveh here soon) their builds aren't particularly insane, I just wanted to include them because I love them hehe :3
Tumblr media
Bonus, my Eula build that is currently being held by beidou. I have been prepping for eula since November and FINALLY her banner is official </3 only nine more days until this build finally gets to go on its rightful owner

You Conjure Such A Beautiful World
Diluven | 1.3k Words | Rated T | Canon Divergent/Different First Meeting | No Reposts
The first time Diluc crosses paths with Venti after his return to Mondstadt.
Hbd Diluc (even though I was late) ♥
If you like my work, consider becoming a member.
Credits: Title Banner: Me. | Divider Credit
Tumblr media
There was a time where Diluc would much rather be alone, yet that choice became fleeting as he grew. He didn’t know how or why it happened, but his feelings changed and albeit slightly, he opened his heart. He remains ever cautious,  but realized at some point, subjection to the joys of what Mondstadt once brought him in the past is something he misses—sometimes, he even goes too far back. Those days as a child he spent at Dawn Winery’s grapevines trying to steal a sprig of grapes for himself and Kaeya only to be lightly scolded by Master Crepus, for instance.
If only it could be so simple. But it isn’t. It never is.
When he were younger, going from Fatui camp to camp and lighting them aflame to find out the truth behind his father’s death, he’d say, “I had so much going for me, what happened?” He looked at the blood on his hands after a Fatui Agent fell by his blade and wondered if he too, were a sinner.  At that point in time, it was too late to have regrets nor was it too late to feel remorse. From the Ordo Favonius forsaking his father and in turn, himself, Diluc knew he had to find the truth by any means necessary. The day the Harbingers caught up to him, he felt defeated, willing to accept such a fate if it meant peace.
But he awoke to a new beginning, rising through the ranks and soon taking over an elusive Intelligence Network which were the eyes and ears that the Ordo Favonius didn’t want to acknowledge. Despite everything, Mondstadt was still home. He was away for four years, but it was still home. He loved Mondstadt and needed to protect it. Feeling as if he alone could do this, Diluc took on a new identity, leaving not a trace of evidence that it was him leaving tied up criminals in front of the Ordo Favonius building with a note of “do your fucking jobs correctly” in elegant cursive or he was the one who stopped the Abyss Order and Fatui in their tracks. Recognition was not what he wanted, though he’d pay some serious mora to be called anything but the “Darknight Hero.”
While his return to Mondstadt was overshadowed by… himself, though Mondstadters did not know, Diluc felt like he was being watched. Whether it be out of sheer paranoia due to the enemies he’s made or just a strong feeling, there have been a pair of eyes on him—ones he cannot find an identity to. He begins to tread more cautiously. He doesn’t take up any nightly activities and does modest work in running Dawn Winery. Things eventually change on an early night when all but roudy taverngoers are asleep and Diluc comes across a figure sitting on the fountain and playing a lyre.
Venti, his mind supplied.
“How do you fare, Sir Ragnvindr? Isn’t it a lovely night?”
There was distance between them. He looked at the bard skeptically, eyes narrowing. The bard had no reason to be awake at this time, as those who would like to listen to his tunes were long gone.
“For what reason are you here?”
Venti smiled, “Can I not enjoy Mondstadt so quiet and peaceful? Why do you look at me with such a scary gaze?”
Crossing his arms, Diluc began to close the distance between them and walk closer to the fountain.
“I would have expected you to try and annoy my bartenders again with your excessive pleas.”
“It is not my fault you cannot accept I am older than you and your bartenders. Anyway, I am not here to talk about my love for wine.”
Diluc sighed. He could not get a read on this bard no matter how much he tried to. It was incredibly frustrating. Even his Intelligence Network failed to give him any information on him. The bard’s smile stay plastered on his face, but his eyes told a different story. He was trying to read into him, looking him up and down, daresay admiring  his features and ogling him. How bold.
“If you would be so kind to allow me a question, Sir Ragnvindr?”
“What is it?”
“How do you feel about Lord Barbatos?”
Diluc looked flabbergasted. What on Teyvat is this bard on?
“You wish to discuss our Archon with me?”
Venti chuckled. “Humor me.”
He doesn’t speak for a while. Being put on the spot like this is perplexing. What can he recall? Master Crepus taking him to the Church of Favonius, worship of Barbatos not being required but encouraged (which did fit the freedom the Archon wanted for his nation) and the holidays. He remembered giving a Windblume once as a child, a Small Lamp Grass. Remembered the Weinlesefest celebrations and how everyone welcomed Barbatos back home and the winds seemed to hug everyone on the end of that holiday as if he answered and said, I never left, I was always here. You never have to worry.
But what did all of that mean when he once felt abandoned by all? Even Barbatos?
Diluc settled for, “I don’t know.”
“Are you sure?”
Again. “I don’t know.”
Venti, strangely, begins to play a gentle tune on the lyre. It is one that he has not heard before. It is comforting, but as quickly as he plays it, the tune is over and in a display of magic, makes his lyre dissipate.
“Barbatos is part of a Thousand Winds. Each thread of those winds watches over Mondstadt and protects everyone from harm. When the cries are loud, he descends and dispels the calamities that threaten the City of Freedom. When he cannot save all, he rests their souls so that they no longer suffer, whether it be suffering from others or suffering from their own hands. He guides the Mondstadters that have died in the windless Mare Jivari back home so that they too, can rest peacefully. No soul is lost.”
No soul is lost.
“Mondstadt has suffered and when Mondstadt suffers, Barbatos suffers. He loves Mondstadt like no other and loves all who dwell in it… and takes special care to those that protect Mondstadt under the cover of night. They are not seen by the normal person, but Barbatos is not normal and Barbatos is always watching.”
Diluc’s eyes widen. It is at that moment Venti stands and walks closer to him.
“I think everyone is flawed, don’t you? Humans, Archons… Everyone is flawed. Everyone thinks they’re right, everyone tries to fight for what they believe in. Like you. A lost soul, who found his way back home. Despite everything, you did find your way back home. You love your home  and protect your home and in turn, the Archon who watches over your home loves you.”
All of his defenses shatter. Diluc sinks down to the ground on weak knees, looking at the cobblestone.
“…Are you sure?”
Venti sinks to his knees along with him and whispers to him, his lips gently brushing Diluc’s ear.
“I am very sure.”
Venti helps him stand and he takes this moment to regain his composure. With another display of magic, a bouquet of Small Lamp Grass appears in his hand and presents it to him.
“How… What—”
Then Venti takes his gloved hand and brings it to his lips, kissing it.
“It is not time for us to meet yet. In due time.”
Venti turns on his heel and begins to walk away. Diluc tries to stop him, but he can’t.
“Happy birthday, Diluc.”
Why can’t I stop him? Why can’t I reach out to him?
“In due time,” he repeated. “In due time.”
Diluc did not see Venti again—not until a certain Traveler arrived to Mondstadt.
It would turn out that Barbatos truly was watching, after all.

Sky's Rambles
(AKA: I'm sorry to whoever actually reads this because IDK if you'll be able to make sense of my ADHD and Autism brain clashing)
Can Lyney get a rerun already? I wanna get his weapon and C6 Lynette. Like, I'm TWO CONS OFF
That being said, the upcoming banners are 90% useless too me. I have c6 every 4 star and have both 5 stars. I might go for Kazuha's weapon but like, I don't use him enough to justify that. I don't use him at all really. I prefer Venti for CC bc he has tighter CC and longer stunlock. I think the most I use Kazuha is...my Lyney team. Tbh. I don't even think I use him much there either. I have a C6 Layla and she buffs normal and charged attacks + applies cryo and shields. I only use Kazuha if Layla is taken for another team (which is a lot...Layla is the only shielder I use really since I don't have Zhongli yet. He's the only archon I have yet to get bc I got Raiden while pulling for Cheveruse.
Tbh, I'm glad the upcoming banners are worthless to me bc I have a guarantee for Arleccino (thank you Itto for breaking my win streak. I'll 100% get you next time.)
Also, the starters are in the Chronicled Wish banner and its a higher chance of getting them bc its a smaller 4 star pool. But the thing is, I want Amber. I fucking love Amber and if they dont give her a skin soon I will riot. But like I'm only getting Lisa. I have a c4 Lisa now. I love Lisa. She's so fucking pretty and she's my second strongest starter (Kaeya...isn't built. Amber's my strongest and my only starter to hit 50k as of rn.) But like-
My starter luck is good in the worst way. I got c1 amber forever ago, bought c2 from the shop after Neuvie's banner, got c2 Lisa from singles i got FROM ASCENDING LISA and took way too long to get a c1 Kaeya.
Lynette is so pretty. Like, I have a nuzlock account and she's one of the characters on it and I'm just like
Tumblr media
Every time because she's so pretty.
I'm not one to do this much, but Arleccino's idle leaks marked her the first Genshin character to get a "mommy" out of me. Then as a meme to my gf cause she was the one showing me: "Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. -deep as I can manage voice- Father."
We fucking died.
Probably gonna make a post about my teams I have set up one of these days.
If they run arleccino with a wanderer rerun im going to simultaneously die and ascend because Im a wanderer main, but i want arleccino, but that will also mean theres a chance to get that damned bell at r2 while pulling for arleccino's weapon.
I have, 100%, called wanderer's bell Titty Remembrance bc i couldn't remember how to spell Tuttulyas whatever and I gave up.
My favorite no resin things to do with friends:
Bootleg windtrace: hide and seek but we have to chase each other and its fucking terrifying half the time
Randomizer: i spin a boss wheel i spin a character wheel. Assign characters and try to beat the boss with said characters. Reroll if the boss is immune only if the character is catalyst. Cue confused and terrified screaming for bosses that you don't know the mechanics of. It's more fun when using someone's world who has all bosses open. (Thats the only reason I soloed lvl 90 Raiden with a lvl 40 Dori and a lvl 60 Candace.)
I'll add to this later with reposts.

NEUVILETTE IS SOON TO BE HERE HELL YEEEEEEAAAH!!!!!
i wanna pull for him. im gonna pull for him
it's like. i like him a lot, I like his design, I like his whole thing AND his hydro and a catalyst which suits me very well
i only have Barbara for a hydro and while with certain artifacts she makes pyroenemies (like, yknow, the bosses, for ascension materials) easy peasy she's just. she's not it (also like. it's soooo hard for me to ascend her cause I need to kill the water thing for it and you need archers for that AND I AIN'T DOING ARCHERS NO WAY)
i might actually build fischl but like. only after i build my main and sub-team. so very not right now
I hope neuvilette will be good. i don't actually play catalysts that much but I hope he'll be good. i even know what I kind of team I want to put him in, if his talents allow it. my hopes is that he will be similar to ningguang because I like her playstyle. or barbara, cause she's not bad either, just difficult to ascend and also a healer which is not what I want (I wanna put neuvie with yaoyao if it works. him, yaoyao and kuki and like. idk maybe xiangling. she kind of got replaced by thoma because i found his skills worked better for me with beidou. and also I love him and I am not above salivating at pixels)
on that note: you've mentioned you've built thoma and same!!!! im in the process. what kind of artifacts do you have on him? I wanna lean into his defense/shielder thing but all the guides are so confusing
also, yknow what's been in my mind: does anyone main Lisa? like someone must. but I've never seen that
ALSO ALSO: razor and lisa both say "blitz" when using their elemental skills. it's cute (though Lisa's flirty while razors is a scream)
this reads a little like an oldtimey letter lol. I feel compelled to sign off like
"With my best regards,
❤💛"
or smth
NEUVILLETTE IS ALMOST HERE!!!! i'm so excited, will be my third debut character with lyney and kaveh. i really hope i'll get him early since i've only got 19k rn, and i have such a long list of characters i wanna pull for lmao there's yae miko, cyno (for 4ggravate completion, tighnari will come home at some point i believe!!), venti would be nice for crowd control
i've not built my barbara but doing the last banner, i got her c6 so i'm kind of hoping neuvillette will work well with her so i have an excuse to build her. the only downside is that i'd have to fight a lot of oceanids and omg that boss kicked my ass when o had higher level than it, it's kicking my ass even harder now that it's 10 levels above me. even with lyney who is so cracked, i died like three times las time i attempted it, so i feel your pain!!!! FUCK OCEANIDS!!!!
you did remind me of xiangling, i always mean to build her but then i get sucked into trying to get the perfect artifacts for my main team and well. i'm not spending money on genshin, but damn do i feel scammed in domains. so many hp and defense pieces when i'm just farming for my dps
i don't play a lot of catalyst characters actually, wanderer is the only one i Really use and i think that's because he's flying so while he is vulnerable (like all catalyst characters are), he is still a bit harder to reach than normal catalyst characters. but for neuvie, with his design and his va and his personality, i will make a difference and learn how to play catalysts well. i did it for lyney and bow characters, i will do it for neuvie as well.
and for thoma!!! my best boy. i don't have a set as such for him, i read somewhere his shield scales off of hp, so i've just slapped A LOT of hp and hp% pieces on him. if that site lied to me, well shit. i will have to go look for which specific set is good for him, but i've been leveling artifacts so much recently i have like ten four stars left. and his talents are like 2-7-6 i think.
i dont know, i'm suere there's a reddit group for them but i've been thinking of leveling her and building her, so maybe she can be in an alhaitham team with a lot of er and a very leveled burst talent.
also that's cute:') i love when characters have matching lines

Writing this out for my own reference...
In the upcoming rolls, it’s better to stop immediately if I get a 5 star, in order to have 0 pity for future 4 star fishing.
On my main, there’s a small but existing chance Razor or Rosaria will be on Eula/Klee banners in 3.8, and I’d like to have more chance to get their cons. I’ll have enough to guarantee two 5 stars from scratch anyway, so it should be fine.
Of course, on my main, I don’t particularly want Baizhu or Ganyu, so I could aim to stop before getting a 5 star, but I also need to get 34 starglitter to buy Kaeya 6 from the June shop, and I currently only have 17. Given next patch’s BP and monthly shop reset’s Standard wishes, I can round it down to needing only 32 starglitter now, but that’s still potentially seven 4 stars... not counting Kaveh, who won’t give me any.
So the priority should be:
Roll until 32 starglitter
Roll for a Kaveh copy, constellations not needed
Stop rolling as soon as possible after a 5 star
Currently: 20 pity
On my alt, my highest priority after healing (Baizhu) is bow (Childe) and Pyro (Diluc, Thoma). So in case Thoma appears in 3.7 or 3.8, it would be ideal to have as little pity as possible, even if that means giving up on Kaveh. Fortunately, I’ve set aside enough starglitter for Kaeya here.
Alt process is just:
Currently: 67 pity
Stop as soon as Baizhu
The banners for 3.7 are leaked as Yoimiya, Yae, Alhaitham and Kazuha, which is a skip for both accounts. Alhaitham would be nice, but he’s not really a priority, so skipping him here makes more sense, especially since the 4 stars are speculated as Chongyun, Kirara, Yunjin and Yaoyao, Heizou, Xiangling, which is pretty much entirely useless to me on both accounts, given that I don’t care for Kirara even on main.
It’s too bad Yoimiya and Kazuha are unlikely to run together based on current leaks. That weapon banner would be potentially appealing on my main.
3.8 is pretty certain to have Eula and very likely to have Klee. Leaks also say that Kokomi will be in the main event, so I guess she’s possible and maaaybe Venti (question mark). Very important banners on my main, entirely irrelevant on alt. I don’t want Eula’s claymore, but if whoever runs with Klee has a nice weapon, I guess I could risk R3 Lost Prayers. My weapon banner pity is actually 65 right now, so it would be nice to have a good banner to spend it on.

Note
For some reason hydro characters seem to love me cuz i literally have 3 hydro 5 stars that are c1 (Kokomi, Childe, and Mona) why can't I get lucky with other elements like pyro and cryo? I barely even have good Cryo characters ;-; (also i think i accidentally got all of the current electro characters rn)
(also I'm very sorry and I'm definitely not cheating on my beloved hubby that i love very much 🥺💕-)
-Your Junie
Me @ Cryo, Anemo, and Dendro
Pyro fucken hates me (*glares at Bennett*)
Got C1 Ayaka and Mona while pulling for Yanfei on her first banner. Got Tighnari and Wanderer in the same 10 pull at 2 pity. Got Nahida accidentally while trying for Bennett, like I legit pulled 90 times before he came ONCE and then I had to buy his c1. I think he holds the record for most money spent. I don’t know if it was Venti or Ayato but one of them came 2 pulls after the other.
I don’t have a single Diluc in main yet. I barely lose my 50/50s and I have a feeling Dehya aint coming home soon. Also I had a phase where I hated Xinyan because she kept coming instead of Bennett or on banners where I really wanted the other 4 stars.
Electro is fucken great though. I wish I had Miko so badly since Aggravate buffed her a shit ton. For now I mostly use Cyno, Lisa and Kuki for Quickbloom/Aggravate/Hyperbloom teams respectively. Nahida boosts those teams so you better build her babe.
Hoyodaddy please give Artifact loadouts 🙏🏻
Hopefully I can open Art Comms again so I can gamble my life to Gacha Gods again.
Also off topic but TUMBLR FIX YOUR GODDAMN TEXT FOR SOME REASON IT’S BLACK EVEN THOUGH IM IN DARK MODE AAAAAAAAA

And Windward We Will Go
I know we just got a bunch of Venti and Zhongli content in Lantern Rite, but I love these two old grandpas and I've been picking away at this fic for a while now, so please enjoy!
Summary:
When Venti convinces Aether to accompany him to Liyue to congratulate Morax on deciding to live life as a mortal he doesn't realize he's surprising his old friend in more ways than one.
Or What if instead of Venti thinking Morax had died, it was the other way around?
AO3 Link
Aether had hardly been in Mondstadt’s borders, let alone the city itself, for more than a few minutes before the wind was fluttering around him almost like a cloak. Thankfully, few Mondstadt citizens seemed to notice the semi-constant air current surrounding the traveler, counting it as one of their city’s little quirks, or being too busy to care.
With his world travel temporarily stalled by trying to find a suitable way over to Inazuma, he thought he might check back in on Mondstadt and see if they had any leads. And, just to see old friends again. First things first though, he wanted a bite at Good Hunter. Yes he was a good cook, but sometimes it was nice to have someone else to do the cooking for you.
As he and Paimon stepped up to the counter the breeze fluttered around him, playing with the banners, and picked at a paper sign detailing the daily specials. Aether had to put a hand on it to keep the poor thing from being torn off and carried away to who knew where.
It wasn’t a bad breeze, and if not for one thing Aether would have simply counted it as a welcome back from his friend. However a question rested on the breeze. Words he couldn’t hear, but could feel all the same. It was a light pressure, a nudging, almost a shove at some points of curiosity.
“Sara, can you make up a picnic basket for me?” Aether asked.
“Of course! It’s such a nice day for one, isn’t it?”
He smiled, “It is. How about we go with fisherman’s toast for the main dish, three servings of it, a large salad, some apples, and–.” he glanced at the specials, “three sunsettia hand pies please.”
“Got it, give us a little time and I’ll have it right out for you.” Sarah said.
“Three servings?” Paimon asked as they stepped back to wait, “Are you that hungry?”
“You never know who might join us, you know.” Aether told her, “I’m just trying to be prepared.”
His friend hummed thoughtfully, “Paimon’s not sure if that means you’re actually expecting someone or just really hungry and trying to hide it.”
Aether chuckled, “Don’t fret too much over it, besides if no one else comes you can have all the extras.”
Soon, they had a large basket packed to the brim with lunch. Aether led Paimon out of the city and out to Windrise. As they grew closer, the breeze that had been fluttering around him, took off, sprinting for the tree. He could see the rustle first of windwheel asters, then the leaves and branches of the tree as it soared upwards and away.
“Sara was right, it is a great day for a picnic. The sky is clear, the breeze perfect, and–” Paimon stopped as soothing music drifted down towards them.
Both she and Aether looked up to find one of the lowest branches occupied. Venti sat, kicking his legs and strumming his lyre, looking as if he hadn’t a care in all the world.
“Hello, Traveler, Paimon.” he said, fingers still plucking the strings, leading the song towards its end.
When the last note finished, he hopped down, a breeze carrying him from the high branch to land before them. He bowed with a flourish, his voice still sing-song light, “What a pleasure it is to run into you two. Might I join you for lunch?”
“Tone Deaf Bard! What are you doing here?” Paimon asked, then spun on Aether, “Did you know he’d be here?”
Aether shrugged, and glanced at Venti, “I had a hunch.”
The bard did little more than give a mischievous, “He-he.”
“Paimon feels like she’s missed something, but we did get extra food today, so everything should be fine.”
“Excellent! Then I won’t be an imposition on your party.” Venti declared.
“As if you’d really be bothered by it either way.” Paimon huffed.
Aether waved her off, “Come on, Paimon. We have enough, and it’s always good to spend time with a friend.”
With that, he put their basket down and set about laying out a blanket Sara had packed for them. The group settled on it, and there was little noise but the breeze rustling the leaves overhead as food was passed around.
“So.” Aether said, after a while, “You have a question for me?” he asked Venti.
His friend blinked, surprised for just a moment before smiling, “Why would you think that? Can’t we just meet as friends and catch up? You just returned from Liyue did you not?”
“We did, and boy do we have so much to tell you!” Paimon declared.
“Oh? It was exciting then?”
“For sure. There was a Fatui plot, and we met so many Adeptus, and the Traveler here helped defeat an ancient sea god! And we got to eat so much good food there, at Liyue Pavilion and Third Round Knockout and–” Paimon gestured, fluttering this way and that as she spoke, “It was incredible!”
“And what of the Geo Archon? Did you manage to arrive in time to meet him?” Venti pressed, looking now to Aether.
This was the unspoken question on the wind, or close enough to it, Aether knew. There was a moment of silence between them as he tried to read Venti’s face, to see if he’d heard of Morax’s death, or if those rumors had yet to find their way to Mondstadt’s peaceful borders. He had thought long and hard about telling Venti the truth behind Zhongli. He had, after all, chosen to live life as a human from here on, stepping down from his role as Archon leading Liyue.
But he also remembered how Zhongli spoke of Venti when they’d traveled to Mondstadt  to test the jade, and of Venti’s own admittance that he and Morax were the last of the original seven. He had a feeling it wouldn’t hurt to let the bard know the truth. Besides, Venti would probably want to know how the gnosis situation was faring.
He nodded, “We did.”
Briefly he detailed the interrupted Rite, and apparent death of Morax. He gave more details than Paimon regarding their interactions with Childe, including Zhongli, and the adepti. Then told him how everything had resolved between Zhongli and Signora.
Through his tale, Venti had asked few questions, and was for the most part content to listen. He was a bard soaking in a tale, ready to remake it into legend. When Aether finished, he leaned back, food all but forgotten as he watched his friend take in the news. Venti looked contemplative for a moment before smiling.
“So, he goes by Zhongli now? And he wants to live as a normal man?” he chuckled, “That must be quite the change for that old block-head.”
Paimon snorted, “He certainly doesn’t seem interested in trying to act any different.”
Aether smiled as well, relaxing. There was something behind Venti’s eyes he couldn’t quite place, but perhaps it wasn’t his right to read the bard’s thoughts on his oldest friend. There were things he was sure he’d never know about the two of them, but he was glad Venti seemed content with the idea of Morax having taken human form.
Venti stood, abrupt, “I should go see him. Why don’t you join me? I have a wonderful vintage hidden away here somewhere–” he rushed off, voice trailing on the wind as he spoke, “I want to share it with him as a condolence gift if I could just–ah ha! There.”
He returned at a skip, cradling an old bottle in his arms. It was dusty from where he’d dug it up. Aether was surprised he even still had the thing, but perhaps it held special meaning. Saved for a specific time.
He looked proud of his discovery, beaming at them both, “I’m sure he’ll love to see me again. It’s been ages since we spoke last. Oh–ah,” the smile fell for a moment, “Did he still seem strong when you were with him?”
“Paimon thinks so. Even if he mostly just wandered around and got us to pay for things.”
Venti looked to Aether, “How strong? Am I likely to get blown away if he’s in a bad mood?”
He shrugged, “I can’t say. He held his own well enough the few times he fought beside us.”
“No matter.” Venti waved him off, “It won’t be a problem. And if it is, I’ll just direct his wrath elsewhere. You’ll be my shield right?”
Aether rolled his eyes, “If you get him mad, it’s on you.”
“Come on, Traveler! That’s not kind! Am I your friend or not?”
His whining, for all he did, brushed off Aether easily. Both knew there wasn’t any real worry in Venti’s claims, and that if for some unknown reason the two archons did begin to squabble, Aether would do his best to quell the chaos.
So instead of answering, he too stood, and started packing up the remains of their lunch. Paimon protested the abrupt end to the meal and Aether handed her his uneaten pie to placate any further requests to stop.
“I guess you want to go now, right?” he asked Venti.
“Of course, there’s no better time than the present to start a new adventure!”
He smiled, “And if I needed to stay in Mondstadt a few days?”
“We both know your answers do not lie here, but in Liyue. Her ships are all that can take you to Inazuma .” Venti said.
It wasn’t surprising that Venti knew Aether was headed for Inazuma , or that he was having trouble finding a way over there. He did wonder if the bard knew about the Vision Hunt Decree or the closed borders to the land. Certainly he would have at least heard about it, in an attempt to keep track of the other Archon’s movements.
“Oh, and do you happen to know a captain that can take me?”
Venti put a hand to his chest in mock hurt, “I’ve traveled far and wide across Teyvat, I know someone everywhere. And if I don’t, we’ll simply bully Zhongli into helping. When it comes to travel and merchants, that man knows everyone.”
The plan was to make their way straight to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, bypassing trying to find Zhongli anywhere else. And Aether tried to make his way straight there, but Venti insisted on stopping at every storyteller, musician, and food vendor in the city to talk, share, and browse.
When Aether complained Venti just winked and told him, “That is the joy of traveling with a bard, we must see and hear everything as a sign we view a place with regard.”
“I thought you were in a hurry to see your old friend.” Aether tried again after Venti had quite literally pulled him up a flight of stairs to listen to Liu Su in the middle of a tale about Baidou and her adventures.
His friend was already seated, chin cupped in his palms, “Yes, but when would I get to hear tales like these?”
“Tomorrow, at about the same time.” Aether deadpanned, “He always seems to be telling the same stories.”
Still, they sat through the rest of his story. Only then could Aether pull Venti away. He was like a child given a handful of sweets, excitable and intent on seeing everything. No wonder he’d claimed to know someone everywhere. He seemed to thrive off interactions with people, especially those inclined to pass him a little wine while they talked.
At last they found their way to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Aether practically hanging on to Venti’s cape to keep him from fluttering away after another attraction. It was almost like he didn’t want to meet Zhongli.
Oh.
He must be nervous, Aether realized. He’d said it had been ages since they’d met, and Aether now assumed that was quite literal. Especially since Venti had indicated it was only just before Aether himself had arrived in Mondstadt that he’d woken from a long slumber. There was no telling how long it really had been since the old friends had spoken. Nerves in that case made sense. Even for –no especially for– friends as old as the two of them.
“It’ll be fine.” he said and knocked on the door to the building, without giving Venti time to argue or fly away.
“Good afternoon dear–ah hello again, Traveler.” The Ferrylady did not seem surprised at Aether’s presence, nor at the fact that he’d brought someone with him, “Are you here for Director Hu or Mr. Zhongli?”
“We’re here to see Zhongli, and we brought a friend with us!” Paimon answered.
“Of course, unfortunately Mr. Zhongli is currently out right now on an errand for Director Hu. He should be back soon if you’d like to wait.”
“Oh, what a shame. We shouldn’t impose. Traveler why don’t we–” Venti was already turning to leave, voice just a tad bit too cheerful.
Aether grabbed the back of the bard’s cape and smiled at the Ferrylady, “Would you mind directing us to his current location?”
“I believe he’s at Jade Mystery discussing a contract with Shitou.”
“Thank you so much, let Hu Tao know we said hello.” Aether said.
He shifted his hold from Venti’s cape to loop his arm through that of his friend and tugged him away. When the bard tried to set off in a different direction Aether tightened his hold just a tad.
“I didn’t think archons got cold feet.” Aether said, pleasantly, “Or the world’s best bards for that matter.”
The bard in question gasped, “I do not . I simply don’t wish to bother him if he is busy. We can always try again tomorrow.”
They were further down the street now and Aether loosened his hold on Venti’s arm, but kept them looped together, “It’s okay to be nervous you know.”
Venti stilled, and Aether stopped with him. The flood of Liyue’s people parted around them, used to people pausing for conversations on the busy street. His expression was complicated, pensive.
Aether looked to the horizon, unable to lock eyes with his friend, “When I think of finally being reunited with my sister, my chest hurts, and my heart races. She is my other half, and I’m desperate to see her again.”
He tugged Venti a little closer to him, the bard’s warmth radiating into his own skin, “I’m sure your friend feels much the same.”
~
“Zhongli, hello! We’ve brought a friend to see you!”
Paimon’s voice cut through Zhongli’s focus and he blinked at the gemstones on the table one last time. He had determined their quality long before, and had simply been lingering because it lended more credibility to his decision, at least to regular mortals. They did not have the experience he did, nor the innate sense of geo and would take an immediate decision as either foolhardy or a reason to attempt to sell him a lesser quality item.
He straightened, casting a patient smile at Shitou who looked put out by the distraction. Always  hoping to make a sale, and only upset when a customer was interrupted.
“We will take the discussed amount in this quality.” Zhongli said, pointing at a single stone, “Lesser stones will be rejected as per the contract.”
“Of course.” Shitou was saying, but Zhongli felt something at the back of his head.
A twinge of power he hadn’t imagined he’d ever feel again was tickling at his senses. He had some sense of it when he’d first met Aether. The traveler had the power of anemo wafting around his shoulders and form like a cloak. It was muted under the newly bubbling power of geo he’d obtained at Morax’s own statue, but it was there.
It had not simply been anemo however, but Barbatos’ power. At the time Zhongli had assumed it was leftover from the archon. Power that had seeped into Mondstadt from Barbatos’ time as its guardian, all that remained of him after Khaenri'ah. But easy enough for someone like the traveler to reach out and grasp.
He had not allowed his thoughts to linger beyond that. Had not wished to face grief he’d since buried deep within himself. Morax had lost too many friends over the years, too many still to Khaenri’ah’s fall. To dig up old wounds when he was in the middle of extracting himself from his role of archon would be disastrous.
So he’d smiled instead at Aether and moved on with his own plans, only generally referencing his old friend when they’d entered Mondstadt.
Even there, Morax had been unwilling to reach out and search for Barbatos’ power. He hadn’t wanted to feel the lack of power. The Mondstadt in his memory was brimming with traces of Barbaros and he wanted to keep that memory alive.
Only to himself would he admit that he’d closed himself off against it out of cowardice.
And yet here it brushed at him. Wind clung to the back of his neck. Fluttered around his hair lifting stray strands to tickle his cheek. It was more than Aether. Different. The same.
“Excuse me.” Was all that he allowed himself to say. Not daring more words than those few perfectly controlled, polite noises. It was still not as polite as he liked to be when exiting a business transaction, but there was something more pressing than manners at play now.
He turned, heart in his throat, face as impassive as ever.
The Traveler stood, Paimon hovering ever by his side, and waved lightly. He looked pleased, happy to be back after some time away, and happier to have a friend along.
He had no idea that he brought with him reality altering news. For beside him stood Barbatos. Clothed as he preferred to be in the fluttering green outfit of a bard.
His old friend—his dead—no, not dead friend was giving him a look Zhongli had rarely seen, one of concern and uncertainty.
The careful neutral look on Morax’s face shattered.
“Barbatos?” The question was a breath, but one carried to his dearest friend’s ears on his winds.
Before he even allowed Barbatos to answer, Morax was closing the distance between them with a few long strides. All his careful composure felt long gone behind one desire: the need to know that the figure before him was real. Solid. Alive.
He lifted the bard who never weighed more than a dandelion seed and always smelled of them and swept him into a tight embrace. That fresh scent felt more real even than his weight or the warmth of his breath as he yelped in surprise.
“Mo-Zhongli is this really necessary?” For one who was never embarrassed Barbatos sounded absolutely flustered.
Still his arms looped around Morax’s neck to return the embrace.
Yes. Morax thought.
“Yes.” He said, firm as stone, face buried in the bard’s neck, “Yes.”
After a moment both too long to be had in public, but not nearly long enough to release Morax’s grief of five hundred years, he let Barbatos flutter back to the ground.
The bard had the gall to look pleased as punch. Hands clasped behind his back he rocked on his heels, “I see you missed me.”
The self satisfied look faded for a moment as he added, “I missed you too.”
“I’m glad the reunion seems to be going well!” Paimon said, most likely to Aether alone but it seemed to color Venti’s cheeks.
In that moment Morax’s brain caught up with his emotions and he cleared his throat.
“Barba—”
“Venti!” His friend chirped, a little too fast, “Three time winner of best bard in Mondstadt! If you’d ever cared to ask.”
“Venti.” Morax corrected.
The first time he’d heard the name Venti —then one time winner of his inane best bard role— had been when the bard had snuck into Liyue to get a lay of the land and attempt to figure out just what kind of archon Morax was. The disguise had been even worse then than now. His eyes and even freckles had been glowing with newly gained power running through his veins, and he’d been far more obnoxiously flamboyant then.
The archon in disguise had been reported to Morax mere moments after he’d set foot in the city proper, his excitement overflowing through bursts of wind racing through stalls and Liyue’s trees rustling the way they only did when a storm blew through.
And what a storm his dear friend turned out to be.
“Just where have you been?” He asked, tone careful. They were in the middle of the city after all. And he had displayed a very out of character burst of emotion.
“That is quite the tale. Why don’t we discuss it over some wine? I’ve brought a lovely vintage from Mondstadt.”
~
Venti settled into the chair offered to him at Xinyue Kiosk and glanced around the room. It was private, and probably the best place they could speak on delicate subjects while still being out in public. Though, Venti guessed few people would actually care let alone really get the full context of their conversation. Especially in a private dining room of a restaurant.
Paimon had initially suggested an outdoor restaurant she and apparently Zhongli favored, but the Geo Archon had insisted on this more upscale restaurant. Paimon had been easily been convinced by the simple promise of food of a higher quality. The traveler seemed deep in thought, and less engaged that he’d been prior to their meeting with Zhongli.
And who could blame him? The old Blockhead had practically yelled “look everyone the Geo Archon is here and surprised” when he’d seen Venti. He was no longer Zhongli, but Morax himself standing there. Even his eyes had glowed momentarily.
It was unlike him to be so flagrant with his display of his powers, and even with the fake Geo Vision on his person —a gift from Venti himself long ago— he’d pushed past simply appearing graced by the gods and into something different. Thankfully Liyue was a land filled with Adepti as well as its archon, and the people were not unfamiliar with some degree of infrequent oddness.
Still. Venti had been shocked to see his friend act in such a way. He had been worried Morax would be upset by his appearance. Angered that Venti had stayed away so long and even pouty he’d been forced to wait for a reunion.
Not that the delay had been under Venti’s control. There were some wounds that nothing but time could heal.
Only once the food was laid out and the staff out of the room did Morax speak.
“I’ll ask again, where have you been, Barbatos?”
The question was as controlled as it had been last time, yet now it carried an undercurrent of tempered fury. As if in the short time between their reunion and now he’d had time to remember a particularly terrible slight on Venti’s part.
It confused Venti further, what had he done to cause such a maelstrom of emotion in the usually unmoving Morax?
“I was asleep.” He said, testing the waters.
The floor beneath his feet rumbled.
“You were asleep?”
Venti knew this feeling well. It was the silence a moment before the skies broke open and rained torrents upon the land. Before thunder split the horizon in two and wind whipped up a gale that could lift a building if it wished to.
He knew it well. But had never felt it from his oldest friend before.
“Morax—” He started.
“You. Were. Asleep.” Boulders could have crashed against Venti’s chest for all the weight of each word that hit him.
“Zhongli—” Aether interjected.
Venti shook his head. This was something they would need to work out between the two of them. They probably should have left the others out of the meeting, but both Barbatos and Morax had been striving for some sense of normalcy. Trying to prove they were not two forces set on a collision course.
His old friend stood, “You were away for five hundred years with no word because you needed a nap? ”
Barbatos rose to his feet as well, “It’s not like I had any say in it.” He shot back, “Or would you rather I died?”
“I did think you died!”
Oh.
Venti blinked at him, “She didn’t tell you then?”
He scowled, of course she hadn’t. Her last revenge on him, even after saving him. How vindictive of her. Not that he blamed her. None of them could bear another loss, but to be kind enough to let his friends know the truth? She didn’t have enough kindness left in her heart for such small mercies.
“Morax, I apologize. Had I known you weren’t aware of my status you would have been my first stop, even before dealing with Mondstadt.”
He laid his hand over his heart, a promise. For added measure he sent a whisper of wind to weave its way to his friend and kiss him with warmth.
The Venti of a thousand years ago would have paid all the dandelion wine in Mondstadt to see Morax shocked twice in as many hours, but now he just felt upset.
His old friend fell back into his seat, face buried in his palms.
“Explain.” It was muffled but relieved.
Venti was lighter into his chair, “You know as well as I do what happened.”
A frustrated glare met his earnest gaze but Morax also took note of the Traveler and his companion. He sighed.
“I do.”
And that was that. At least for the time being.
They slipped into lighter conversation, Venti easing them past the awkwardness of two old friends almost coming to blows by tucking into the food and reminding Paimon that everything was getting cold.
They sipped tea and osmanthus wine and gradually the tension eased out of the room. Both were convinced that Aether and Paimon were at least modified by their peace. And comforted in the fact that they wouldn’t be mediating a battle between Archons over dinner.
It was later that night that Venti found Zhongli. When the moon had crept high into the sky, and the stars were twinkling above them. His old friend was seated comfortably atop one of the cliffs facing the city. Far enough away that they wouldn’t be interrupted, but so close the bustling nature of the city, even late into the evening, was easily visible.
“I know you prefer osmanthus, but I thought we could share a taste of Mondstadt.” Venti said, settling beside Zhongli, “I had planned to bring it out at dinner, but now seems like a much better time.”
He proffered the bottle at Zhongli, who took it, shifting his gaze down to the bottle. While his friend examined it, Venit retrieved two small cups, settling them between the two of them, “When Aether told me your story, I had thought we could celebrate.”
Venti kicked his legs out, over the edge. The soles of his shoes scraped against stone, but he didn’t mind. Grass bent under his palms as he leaned back, enjoying the gentle breeze spinning it’s way down to the harbor.
“You get to celebrate two things today, I guess.” Venti continued, shooting Zhongli a playful smile, “A life spent incognito, and free from responsibilities. And the return of an old friend.”
He let a beat pass before adding, “Even if said friend should be chided for neglecting him.”
The second apology rested between them for a long moment before Zhongli sighed, and uncorked the bottle.
“Tell me what happened, and I will decide how severe your reprimand should be.” he poured out wine into both cups, before settling the bottle between them.
Venti lifted his own, the fragrance of dandelion wafting up to him, “You are aware that a dragon named Durin attacked Mondstadt during the battle at Khaenri’ah, right?”
Zhongli hummed an acknowledgment.
“The fight went about as well as you could expect a fight between two dragons and the wind could.” Venti tapped a finger against the side of his cup, listening to the melodic sound of nail against china, “We won, but both Davalin and I needed much rest after. He’d been poisoned by Durin’s blood, and I by the abyss running through the creature’s veins.”
The memory of that event, of his attempt to save Durin flashed back in Venti’s mind. His chest stung, a ghost of pain running through it.
His next words were so quiet he wasn’t sure Zhongli would hear them, but he couldn’t get his voice to raise above a whisper, “I almost died.”
“I would have too.” he swallowed, finding more strength in moving past the worst of it, “But the Tsaritsa found me.” he laughed, hollow and cracked, “I have no idea why she was even there. Probably followed me to tear into me one more time about how–” his voice broke again.
He missed her. Missed the woman she’d been before Khaenri’ah had ruined so many lives. Missed their friendship.
But there were some wounds even time couldn’t seem to heal.
“She got me off the mountain. I don’t remember much beyond her face, and the ghost of frost as she left, but I know it’s because of her I found myself back at Windrise.”
“She did not tell me any of that.” Zhongli confirmed, “Though I saw her briefly after the fighting faded.”
“To be honest?” Venti ventured, “I don’t think anyone thought I’d be down as long as I was. I certainly didn’t.”
He sipped at his wine at last, swallowing down bitter shame at his own weakness. Five hundred years to recover was far too long. It was irresponsible. Unreasonable to leave Mondstadt for so long.
Zhongli sighed, “I am afraid I cannot reprimand you at all then. Seeing as you’ve so neatly done it to yourself.”
He refilled both their glasses, “A celebration then. To new life, and lives once thought lost.”
Venti glanced up at his old friend, cup balanced in his palm, “I am sorry.” he said again.
“Do stop apologizing.” Zhongi sighed, “I would have known sooner if I’d bothered to look.”
A smile played on Venti’s lips, “Ah but when would you have had time, between setting up an elaborate death and changing your identity? I must say, I am quite honored you know, choosing to retire and live like a human as I do.”
Zhongli made an affronted noise, “If you are insinuating I copied you, then you are more a fool than I thought. You are well aware I’ve spent time as a human before.”
Venti downed his cup, reaching again for the bottle, “Not in hundreds of years, and never well.”
“And you would know being gone for said hundreds of years.”
He waved the accusation off, “Thousands of years of friendship between us say I’m the expert. No you spent the last five hundred happily ruling over Liyue without even an attempt at blending in. I’m sure you’ll need someone to show you the ropes for a while.”
“No.”
“And as I am most experienced pretending to be human, I am your best shot fitting in.” he kicked his feet again.
“I am already quite settled as Zhongli.” he argued.
Venti went on, completely ignoring his friend’s protests, “Yes, I think I’ll stay in Liyue a while. You will be hopeless without me, and Lantern Rite is almost upon us again. It is ever so important to have a good friend by your side when starting a new journey.”
Now he spared a glance at his friend. Zhongli held his eyes for a moment, split between rumbling anger and amusement. With a laugh he settled on humoring Venti.
“I would be happy to catch up with you for a while.” He said, “It is always good to start a new journey with a friend by your side.”

Note
My main team consists of Tighnari as main DPS, raiden as sub DPS, Venti as cc and zhongli for shields and being my favourite.
I dropped my xiao some time ago because I want to have fun with as many characters as I can, but i still use him in the abyss (I mean, he is almost triple crowned, only his normal attack is on level 8). Although I still feel guilty for leaving him, diluc, Barbara and kaeya behind, but I want to have fun with new characters as well and dendro reactions
(oh dear, I hope xiao don't hate himself for that, poor baby)
I pulled for tighnari on his banner and build him almost immediately, so foxboy knows he is loved. He also has only 5 star weapon on the main team (thundering pulse that I got by accident). He surely knows that he has better fate than cyno, that I got by accident when I was pulling for some four star on his banner. Cyno is level 50 with two star artifacts just like my qiqi, because I don't have any other use for him. But still, I had to get into hard pity for raiden and now I don't have much left for alhaitham, and I feel like he has something to do with it.
Raiden was build to level 60 in a single day, now being close to 80, with burst on level 9 and maxed out catch on the start. I also put her on my team after I got her (was using Fischl/Keqing as placeholders). Since she is my newest addition that I use more than others to test her and for fun, that might be a reason to panic for others I guess.
Venti is the most replaceable on my team. It sounds brutal and all, but he is on that third slot where I switch to low leveled characters (currently my level 40 beidou) to level up their friendship level. I like his crowd control, but for the reactions my kazuha/Fischl duo is way better. And I think he knows that, as he is being switched the most
Zhongli, my dearest. He is loved alright. I wanted to go for the staff of homa for him, but hutao and yelan look too good to pass. He has the meteor crowned, and shield close behind. I even leveled up his normal attacks when I wanted to make him a physical DPS (yes, I tried). Now he is a hybrid with 28k hp and 60/180 crit/dmg ratio. And I use him on almost every team, no matter who I want to use, he is usually there, in his 4th slot that I use for healers/shielders. Although I feel like he would be jealous of how quickly I level up new additions. But I did had to spend money on him, because he sent qiqi my way.
tighnari be like "who are all these alarmingly powerful people" lmao-
samee i've been playing around with different characters (also bc i want to increase them friendship levels) but xiao is my go-to dps too, he's THE goat in my squad. my golden child <3
so far i only have xiao and zhongli triple-crowned. al haitham's gonna be triple crowned too once i manage to farm for the new materials haha i've been quite lucky with the mirrors, so fingers crossed he can be triple-crowned soon!!
when will tighnari come home i want his passive skill so much sobsob
kazuha is so good as cc and exploration in general, i love him hehe definitely money well-spent!
zhongli has a permanent spot on my team lmao he's a hybrid so i enjoy witching between having him as shielder or dps! he was mean about coming home for me too lol he also sent our granddaughter qiqi my way and persisted until close to 80 pity.... thank god his banner wasn't recent, otherwise i would have to explain said spending for the house loan review lmao still, did not regret pulling for him nonetheless <3
your team looks awesome shdfljskdlf i have yet to build many characters, so they're all over the place...
