This comic is based on @ckret2’s 9 chapter fanfic. Please go read it, their characterization f the characters are so cannon accurate that I’m 90% convinced that they’re Alex Hirsh secretly writing gravity falls season 3.

HEY EVERYONE do you remember my story I'm making?? With my own little blorbos?? No?
Well let me remind you!
At a crossroads in small town Sweden, there's a hot dog stand with a unique business model: If you can guess the Vendor's name, you get your food for free! BUT. If you fail, you owe him your soul. Yes, he is the literal devil.
A mid/late 20's guy called Tobbe stumbles into the stand, and immediately decides that that is the eaxct type of guy you want to be best friends (or more) with.
Above, we see Vendor and Tobbe, the stand, one of the customers (a high school music teacher/man killing water spirit)(Näcken), and an old friend of the vendor (a local activist/guardian spirit)(Huldra).

oli's first market yesterday!! || 10/28/2024
holy shit i did my first market yesterday as a vendor!! it was at a local queer monthly market which was really fun and exciting to be a part of, especially since i've been at this market before as a customer!
Tumblr media
this is us in the middle of getting set up! i had a friend who's used to selling stuff at conventions (and is a comm arts major at the uni we both go to) help me out as i didn't think i would have enough stuff to fully fill up the table (and i was right ab that lol). i sold starter houseplants, herb starters, and my abstract paintings while my lovely friend sold their art prints, keychains, stickers, and original art pieces!

enjoy this rare photo of me as well as some more distinctive photos of my plant setup! my friend bought these risers for me to use which were super helpful, but they were a bit slanted downwards, i'm super lucky nothing fell (bc it would've def ended up like a domino effect yikes).
i didn't sell a ton, but then again, i was accidentally setup right across from a much bigger houseplant vendor, and thus even though we had very different varieties, people are going to see bigger plants and automatically be like "wow, i want those ones regardless of what type of plant they are." i did make friends with that plant vendor though, she's super sweet, has a huge greenhouse, and has been selling plants for 13 years!! i'm hoping to grab coffee with her sometime soon and maybe get some advice from her + possibly work with her in the future!
Tumblr media
i also bought this lovely arrowhead plant from her, she gave it to me with a small friend discount which was super nice!! it's a gorgeous plant, i only took photos after the sun mostly went down, so it doesn't fully encapsulate the beauty of this plant!
overall, it was a great experience and while i didn't sell a ton, i'm happy that i went!! i had fun & now know more about what stuff to have more of + to change for next time! i brought only one angel wing begonia and that plant was VERY popular along with my lovely oxford street coleus! i'll have to start working on growing a lot more of those soon, as there was actually a small competition at some point amongst several customers to buy my angel wing begonia!
