First Date
Golden Au
Tumblr media
Fraser knew he had to impress the bedard sister with the first date. Hence why he showed up to her door with a bouquet full of flowers. He did make the bouquet himself claiming the pre made one’s are to expensive.
As Fraser rung the doorbell the nerves started. The door was opened by the one and only Connor Bedard. I mean it was almost Christmas time was he expecting him to not be there he thought to himself.
What made it even awkward was that Connor had no idea about the date. “Bud I didn’t know you were coming over” Connor said not realising the situation he had on his hands.
“Oh yeah actually” he was cut off by Connor pulling him into the house. “Where did you come from a date or something, why so fancy”. With that Fraser froze not sure what to say next.
As if on queue Minnie walked down the stairs looking as stunning as ever, or so Fraser thought. She was wearing a black mini skirt, white baby tee, and burgundy leather jacket. All tied together with a pair of black cowboy boots.
“We’re ya going miss Amelia” Connor teased still unaware of the situation. “Oh my god you are so dumb” she said hiding a laugh. “I got these for you” Fraser explained to the girl giving her the flowers. That’s when Connor finally put two and two towards. “Oh shit that’s gross guys, and you couldn’t have waited til new year so I could win the bet”.
“Ok we’ll anyways by Connor” Minnie said as she grabbed Fraser’s hand. As they walked down the front steps of the house Fraser sped up a little to open the door for minnie.
“Thanks fras” she said quietly her cheeks turning rosy. As they drove to the restaurant they laughed and talked the whole way. Fraser always knew how to make Minnie laugh.
They pulled up to the restaurant and Minnie could not believe her eyes. “Your joking, your joking I have been trying to get into this place for months”! She squealed with excitement.
Minnie was vegan and let’s just say Vancouver did not have a lot of options restaurant wise. Fraser did a ton of research for hours on end to find the best of the best for her. He did have to pay extra but he got in he had to for her.
There date went fantastic they talked for hours on end. He may have not liked the food but she absolutely loved it. It became one of there usuals after that. They drove home in peace, finally reaching the Bedard house. Fraser got out and opened Minnie’s door for her, walking her to the front door.
Already freezing from the cold evening temperature, Minnie was eager to get back inside and Fras to his car. But before that Fraser knew he had to go in for a kiss. Obviously he had to so he leaned in and they shared a magical first kiss. They knew there were many more of those coming.

Reality check: Is their security a bit over the top or no? by u/Von_und_zu_
Reality check: Is their security a bit over the top or no? Vij said he received a mysterious request Thursday afternoon asking if the security detail for some high-profile guests could visit the restaurant in advance to scope out the space."I was like, 'OK, can you tell me who they are?'" Vij said. The answer was no.From article in Vancouver News: Prince Harry and Meghan enjoy meal, visit kitchen staff at renowned Vancouver restaurant. https://ift.tt/LVNMcP1 this tweet: https://twitter.com/Crayon78848049/status/1758867171315179960https://preview.redd.it/jvsfi4gy56jc1.png?width=859&format=png&auto=webp&s=f4642f474dc9b70373ee07eda38f170bbd268cf4We also learn in this little puff piece (that mentions Invictus only in passing at the end of article) that Madame - the vegan or whatever she sometimes is - likes her goat spicy!"I think for him, the food was a little spicier," the owner told CTV News. "He actually himself said, 'Do you know I'm a ginger? Which means when I eat spicy food, I get red?'"Meghan, on the other hand, asked the restaurant to turn up the heat. Vij said he personally delivered some green chilies to add to her meal."And she had the goat meat, which is the spiciest dish on the menu," he added. "She loved it."****Prince Harry and Meghan have been taking part in training camps this week to promote next year's Invictus Games(opens in a new tab), which are being hosted in B.C. post link: https://ift.tt/cEOZ8BM author: Von_und_zu_ submitted: February 17, 2024 at 05:18PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

High Tea at La Petite Cuillère - Vancouver
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Vancouver, Canada for the first time. Our weekend was filled with a variety of tasty bites such as vegan brunch at Chickpea, sashimi from TAKENAKI Uni Bar, and pierogis from Granville Public Market. British influence in Vancouver can still be seen in it’s restaurant scene as the city has many tea houses and Indian restaurants. I received many…

Day 7 - Wednesday, September 13th
Today was very very DAMP, a little more low key, with no strenuous hikes, and some walks down many memory lanes. Halifax has grown up a lot since our last visit over a decade ago, with more high rises and lots more touristy shops and structures along the waterfront, feeling a lot like the Vancouver waterfront in False Creek. It didn't disappoint with the beautiful character of the old homes, and so many beautiful parks. Also, look at the cool new library!!

We grabbed lunch at a quaint little vegan restaurant called "en Vie", bringing some tasty takeout to share with Adrienne. Adrienne is my best friend's daughter who is due to have her baby any day. We spent a lovely few hours catching up and playing with Iris, her beautiful cat!
David and I visited freak lunchbox downtown for some candy, then headed to Moxie's to warmup with some coconut curry and good company:)

Vietnamese food is made using the freshest foods and a little oil or fat. You can always expect this cuisine to be one of the healthiest foods you can make in your own home.
Vietnamese Cuisine
The basis of Vietnamese meals is usually rice. Rice is almost always served with a meat dish or vegetable mix.
Vietnamese and Chinese dishes are similar but still, have many differences. The primary difference between Vietnamese and Chinese food is that Vietnamese food is much lighter and uses a fish sauce for seasoning.
Tumblr media
Vietnamese food is full of flavor using many different seasonings including lemongrass, curry, ginger, onion, vinegar, garlic, cilantro, mint, basil, sugar, fennel, and coriander. The goal of a Vietnamese cook is to create a balance of spice, sweet, bitter, salt and sour into something delicious. The majority of Vietnamese food recipes are vegan; however, there are plenty of meat dishes.
The most popular Vietnamese dishes include Bun Cha, Mi xao don. These dishes range from an egg noodle soup with meatballs, vermicelli noodles and a meat of pork, chicken or even sea snails. Dumplings are even popular in Vietnam. You can expect almost every dish of Vietnamese cuisine to be served with vermicelli noodles or with white rice to accompany your meal.
