୨♡୧ ASTRO OBSERVATIONS PT 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please take all of these predictions with a grain of salt I'm not a professional astrologer.
Here's my masterlist
& if you have any questions here are the GUIDELINES
Tumblr media
NATAL OBSERVATIONS
🫐 Aquarius Mercuries also leave people on read thinking they'll reply later, dude reply now you guys will forget later on.
🫐 Venus square Pluto may get bullied by women and the men they reject.
🫐 Your Moon also shows what you overthink about :-
Eg : Virgo Moons overthink whether their intelligent enough or not.
Libra Moons overthink whether people love them or not.
Capricorn Moons are busy overthinking about who's lying.
Pisces Moons are busy overthinking about fictional characters or things that have not even taken place.
🫐 Mars in Taurus is also quite sensual and these people may have a high libido. Most of them know how to channel their energy.
🫐 Venus in Virgo tends to look good no matter what they wear [at times they may wear clothes that won't necessarily be their style but they will still end up looking good in it].
🫐 Cancer Moons are also good at manifestation.
🫐 Pisces Sun, Pisces Moons are better at hiding things, stuff, their personal life. Basically they lie where required.
🫐 Mars in Capricorn reminds me people who are more active mentally than physically. These people know when to play and when to be serious.
🫐 Cancer Risings I can't just blatantly state you guys get bad partners, it's just you guys often fall for people who have a tough time expressing themselves emotionally. You guys also end up being in karmic relationships many a times.
🫐 Moon square Mars tends to feel emotions very intensely. They should journal their anger on a clean piece of paper and then burn the paper.
Tumblr media
VEDIC OBSERVATIONS
🫐 If you have a moon darakaraka, only in this placement you can marry a person with the same sign as yours.
🫐 Mars in the 2nd house may eat alot of meat, it's like they'll love meat and find it hard to be a Vegan or Vegetarian.
🫐 Also Mars in the 2nd house swears or curses a lot doesn't matter what sign. They can end up creating new cuss words too lol.
🫐 Rahu 10th house is a good placement however the natives with this placement struggle to choose a career for themselves.
🫐 Venus in the 9th house also tends to be asexual or sapiosexual.
🫐 Rahu in the 9th house makes you doubt your morals. Whether your a good person  or  not.
🫐 Sun-Mercury conjunction in the 7th house can give a spouse you has solutions to mostly all of your problems. Even if their not too educated they may still have solutions to your problems.
🫐 Sun Nakshatra people have so much perseverance like no matter what they go through they always stand tall facing their problems all by themselves.
🫐 Like 12th house reminds people of spiritual, paranormal, esoteric, escapism but what people forget is this house represents creativity as well.
🫐 12th house lord in the 9th house could mean your creative and would want to pursue a career in something artistic.
🫐 Venus in Pisces in any nakshatra gives you such ethereal dreamy looking face these people never age.
🫐 Sometimes I feel Mars atmakaraka has trouble asking for help.
🫐 Sagittarius Moons and Capricorn moons easily argue with each other then 5 min later their bffs like dude [yeh rishta kya keh lata hai.]

★ruler of 3rd through houses: your highschool years★
Tumblr media
long time no see!! I have recently started an instagram account, you can check it out if you please. I would post more exclusive things in the soon to be started group on Instagram :) lmk if you are sending a request since I do not want scammers or people with malicious intents on there :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Send post suggestions if you like !! I really do not know why have I not started with Vedic astrology series yet but the thing is, I find it soooo vast that putting it into readable posts becomes so hard idk and I can't come up with topics. I wanted to start with dasha systems and divisional charts but I could not fathom where to start honestly idk. Maybe I have gone more used to making posts through the tropical system.
Tumblr media
Paid readings open!!
Today we will see your highschool years through astrology and this may explain why you *were* or *are* a certain way. The planets in your 3rd do add an extra infulence without doubt, but to keep this post more inclusive I would not go over that. However, lmk if you want to see that and I may edit this post. PS: Though there can indicators of things like bullying and being bullied and all other that kinda stuff, I wont be mentioning that here :)) take it as a light post :) and if someone has incidents from school they would love to write, would love it too!!
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 1st: Ah very likely to be the "popular" kid, or someone I may say who was heavily involved and present in school. Maybe school was big on playing a major role to your personality development and you had some life altering events in school. You could have drawn attention to yourself as well, or maybe you wanted to be seen. Very easily could have taken the roles of monitors and club leaders etc.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 2nd: Very possible that you were the kind of person who was not very withdrawn yet not quite present. Maybe you were quite reserved in who you talked to during school, but not that you were a loner. You could very well be someone who people found talented in some specific area, especially in things like debate or arts and singing. People could have secretly wanted to befriend you. Very possible that you "seemed" rich or were focused on earning money and it showed in school. Often seen people could admire you from afar, or maybe even crush on you and all that stuff.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 3rd: School could have been an important for you again. Very possible that you and your siblings went to the same school. Apart from this, you again could be someone who is rather smart and studious or is considered smart at the very least. Could have been really outgoing and talkative. Now it is indeed 200% possible that you could be introverted, but as you could grow in comfort, you could become someone who would speak and get along with most people.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 4th: Could have been homeschooled or maybe even your mother taught at the same school, or maybe you did not change too many schools as such and even possible that you studied in a place where you were born or near your home. Now, the ruling planet here actually decides how you could have acted here, which is usually a mix of both extrovertedness and introvertedness. It is possible that school was either very comfortable to you, or maybe you never felt comfortable in school at all, no in between. Not a big friend group, but probably a few real friends that you could have connected to even after school.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 5th: Could be someone who was very involved in extra curriculars and stuff. Great possibility of having dated people in school or appearing attractive to others, them having crushes on you or maybe both honestly. You could actually be someone who very well flunked or I may say rather did not take their classes as seriously. Could be someone who people reminisce about when they look back to their time in high school. A good possibility of being popular or seemingly charming! You could have enjoyed your time in school.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 6th: You could very well be someone who probably faced some difficulties to attend school I feel. Apart from this, you could be someone who no matter what they really do, are hardworking and took school seriously. Hard working, reliable kind of person. It is possible that people in your school asked you for help or favors and stuff quite often. Very possible to have had a mundane school life for many many reasons, maybe nothing too "exciting" and maybe school really did not cater too much excitement, stories or spice in your life.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 7th: The kind of person who talks to everyone, or atleast "knows" everyone and vice versa. People could often come up to you, and you could strike conversations just like that. The kind of person who would always be found in some kind of friend group, and friends with everyone, a large friend group. Some of you could even have found your spouse from school!! No matter if you were extroverted or introverted, you could have had good social skills regardless. Your teachers could actually know you or like you.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 8th: Could be someone who saw breaks and interruptions and hardships to have continues their education. Aloof, introverted and maybe a desire to hide, and not really be seen. The people who are wise beyond their age in school and try to avoid people, especially the ones who do not align with them truly. To be honest, your flairs and attitude and experience in and towards school could see a lot of shifts, maybe you were extroverted and then you became introverted and then extroverted again. Maybe you were someone who had no friends but then had too many friends etc. The end time of school could be important. Not hanging out in big groups at being by yourself mostly.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 9th: Could be someone who attended high school abroad or exchange programs etc or desired to go to college abroad. Probably very aware and serious about moving to university after school. Good at studying and smart, even if you may not intentionally spend time studying, you could be very very good at acing your school comparatively. Someone who was wise, and friendly and had a pleasant time in school, and a good and happy learning experience overall. Friendly, and could have had different kind of friends I must say.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 10th: Ah, outgoing people. Someone who is seen and known by people in school, well liked by most. Even if you are introverted as such, which is unlikely, people could notice you and maybe heard about you or seen you atleast once sometime. Could be someone who hangs out in big groups. Someone whose presence is known by most and many people in school for whatever reasons that may be. Popular people. Teachers could be important, maybe they noticed you, or maybe you pay great attention to them or the relationship is sour all together. The kind of people who are assigned roles and leads in clubs and events, etc. despite of not being the responsible person for that job.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 11th: Friends were important and you made quite a few friends in school yourself. Even if you were not a social person, you still could have found friends, and friend groups. People could feel easy around you, someone who is non judgemental and is friends with everyone, even the seemingly new kids. Always busy with some kind of event or activity or hanging out with friends probably even after school. Someone who probably made others aware about the drama and tea going on, or discussing internet, controversies etc.
Tumblr media
☆Ruler of 3rd in 12th: Very possible that you completed your education overseas or you were homeschooled or may be you did not attend school too much. Someone who probably is uncomfortable with attention on themselves, and likes to seemingly merge into the background somehow, even if they may desire to have a complete experience of their surroundings. Zoning out in school often, being aloof by nature or choice, in your own world. Probably despising school or waiting for it to end. On a good note, whatever relationships you formed in school or experiences you had, could have helped you evolve, and grow out of your comfort zone and the bubble you could have kept yourself in, for maybe reasons like "I can't fit in".

take care, xoxo~

Spouse’s Appearance in Vedic
This is for entertainment. Appearance is very difficult to correctly predict especially considering people from different races will embody the traits differently.
EX: You get results for a curly haired spouse. This is very vague, results can vary from 4C coily hair type to 2C wavy hairy type. The exact outcome will depend on the person's gentics.
With that being said, take this as a fun non serious post. Warning: LONG POST AHEAD + irl examples at the end.
For yourself: Check planets & sign in 1st, 1st H ruler & AK.
For spouse: Check for planets & sign in 7th H, 7th H ruler, Mars & Jupiter for husband & Venus for wife. Check for DK planet too!
KEEP IN MIND:
Whether planet is exalted or uncomfortable in the sign can influence the results.
EX: Jupiter in Virgo 1st H - you may be shorter to average height since Jupiter is in detriment. This does not mean you aren't attractive, you still have jupiter in 1st. You would simply lack some jupiter traits as jupiter can't express itself comfortably in this sign.
If you have Virgo 1st H & Mercury the ruler is in sag, then you are likely to be shorter to average height. Despite, this post showing mercury and virgo as tall to average. This is because Mercury is in detriment in 4th - a naturally moon ruled house.
Anyways, don't take this too serious. No one can be 100% sure. These signs and planets may manifest as the spouse's personality traits and not their appearance.
Aries/Mars: If a person is pale or white, they can turn red easily - blushing, after workout, red lips after eating something spicy. Average height for their gender+ethnicity. Large forehead or nose. Bony to muscular features like a sharp jawline.
Taurus: Symmetrical and square face. Lighter skin complexion. Often hairy but again this will depend on race. Shorter to average height for their gender+ethnicity.
Gemini/Mercury: Medium skin complexion for their race. Curly hair. Tall to average height for their gender+ethnicity.
Cancer/Moon: Light skin complexion. Clear and youthful appearance. Short to average height for their gender+ethnicity. Unless, Jupiter is in cancer where it is exalted than tall.
Leo/Sun: Medium skin complexion for their race - often can tan well. Short to average height for their gender+ethnicity. Curly hair, darker tone of hair not necessarily black. One outstanding feature - ex: sparkle in their eyes, good hair, good lip shape or cheekbones, freckles, beauty spots etc.
Virgo/Mercury: Dark to medium skin complexion. Tall for their gender+ethnicity. Longer hair and curly hair. If planet in virgo or mercury is in detriment, I have noticed the opposites can be true - short & straight hair.
Libra: Tanner complexion for their race - ex: if it's a danish person, this can result in pale skin that turns red/burns/tans easily. Symmetrical.
Scorpio/Mars: Lighter skin complexion but darker features - darker hair, intense eyes. Short to average for their gender/ethnicity.
Sagittarius/Jupiter: Lighter skin complexion for their race. Tall to average height, however if planet placed in sag is debilitated in sag then I have noticed short height. Curly hair.
Capricorn/Saturn: Tall people for their gender/ethnicity. Darker to neutral skin complexion for their race. Large or broad forehead. Bony and/or sharp features - ex: long thin fingers, sharp jawline, rib cage may be visible, prominent chin, teeth visible when smiling. More likely to be reserved in style and demeanour than aqua - ex: business casual style.
Aquarius/Saturn: Tall for their gender+ethnicity. Neutral to lighter skin complexion for their race. Broad or large forehead. Thin hair. Bony and/or sharp features - ex: long thin fingers, sharp jawline, rib cage may be visible, prominent chin. More likely to be outgoing or casual in style & demeanour - ex: sweatpants and ripped tee, baseball cap.
Pisces: Honestly from my research this can indicate either dark or light skin complexion - one is not more likely than the other. Tall husband especially if you have mars pisces. May keep their hair longer than the norm - even if it’s just slightly more.
more specific observations:
Rahu's influence: Tall and/or beauty moles or freckles.
Ketu's influence: May have or had long hair at one point. Beauty mole and/or birth mark. Taller unless placed in scorpio where it is comfortable - ketu doesn’t wish to increase, it wishes to decrease/detatch.
Venus conjunct Mars: A cut/scar or birthmark is likely somewhere visible. However, it is likely to add to their attractiveness.
Venus conjunct Moon: Soft, clear skin complexion. Attractive eyes. May gain weight easily.
Sun conjunct Rahu or Saturn or Mars: May manifest as dark circles under eyes. Sun is eyes.
Debilitated sun as DK or in connection to 7th H can indicate a spouse with poor eyesight - but may wear contacts or get/have done laser eye surgery to correct vision.
Venus conjunct Sun or Mercury: I know women wanting a man won't like this but this has shown as a shorter spouse in every single chart I saw it in. It's usually same height or slightly shorter. Saturn, jupiter and/or rahu influencing 7th h/7th h ruler could change this.
FOR MORE DETAILS:
While writing this post, I remembered my nakshatra series also included physical features so you might be interested in checking that post out - it is linked in my pinned post/materlist.
IRL EXAMPLES:
Vanessa Hudgens & Cole Tucker.
Cancer first house, Aquarius Moon in 7th H conjunct Rahu. Moon her first house ruler gives a lighter skin complexion and shorter height. However, Rahu gives a tall height. This can neutralize itself. Vanessa is at 5'1.
Her sun is her AK in sag. Her natural hair is darker and curly. This is sun’s influence darker hair + natural hair that stands out, sag influence curly hair.
HER SPOUSE - COLE TUCKER through her NATAL:
Her 7th H has moon which indicates a short to average spouse. However, moon is conjunct rahu & in Aqua. Aqua indicates height & Rahu amplifies what it touches, this results in a tall spouse. Cole Tucker is 6'2.
Aqua's influence gives prominent bone structure. Tucker has a prominent chin, teeth show in photos of his genuine smile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Megan Fox:
First House in sag with Mars. Mars gives a shorter height. Megan is 5'3.
Her AK is Venus in gemini. She has always been very symmetrical. I am aware she said she had a few surgeries to change her natural look - but imo she still beautifully embodies most of her placements physically.
HER SPOUSE THROUGH HER BIRTH CHART:
Her 7th H is in Gemini, Mercury is in Aries. Mercury gives height. Her ex-husband is 6 ft. Her ex husband shows aries traits as he has discussed his fitness/gym hobbies. Aries/mars can show a larger forehead too. He is in the right photo below.
Navamsa shows later half of life + life after marriage. Since her first marriage ended, we can find the people she dates later in life in navamsa. In d9, her 7th has jupiter conjunct rahu. This indicates a very tall spouse as both jupiter and rahu amplify one another. After her first marriage ended, she became engaged to mgk who is 6'4. Rahu can create a taboo nature too. MGK has a unique style, he doesn’t conform to what is expected for men’s style. He is on the left.
Tumblr media
Karlie Kloss:
Her first is in Gemini. Merucry is conjunct sun. Her Ak is Rahu. Sun suggests a shorter height. However, rahu & mercury indicate a tall person. She is 6'1.
HER SPOUSE THROUGH HER BIRTH CHART:
Rahu is in her sag 7th H. This indicates a tall spouse, however, 7th h ruler is in leo & DK is Venus (both indicators of a shorter spouse). This shows neutral affect. So while her spouse is tall, he is not much taller than her. Her spouse is 6'1.
I thought this was a good example as it puts things into perspective. 6’1 is not short but for someone who is 6’1 with a mix of tall & short spouse indicators, the result is near neutral - both are the same height.

Not a gotcha, just curious:I saw you say Hinduism isn't the indigenous religion of India. Do you mean like. Modern Hinduism? That there is no indigenous religion for India? That there's another one that is indigenous?
if you could link me to the post where i said that i could be clearer but i could have meant it in two ways.
one, indigenity as a political formulation, which is about how historically hinduism has functioned as a powerful, dominant and subjugating force on other local indigenous traditions. tbf the hindu was to some extent a label used by the british to categorise diverse non abrahamic indian religious practices, and nationalist hinduism as understood by reformers and sanatanis responded to colonial pressures by recreating it into a unified vision. but even predating that it was still an assimilative force on several prexisting, mostly animist traditions that it otherised as 'dasa' (cognate: slave or servant) in the vedic literary texts. post independence modern hinduism continues also to perform the standardisation of upper caste practices through sanskritisation of lower caste ritual traditions. hindutva in the modern day for example insists that marriages that don't perform the seven rounds around the fire are illegitimate hindu marriages. the use of state run reservation schools that forcibly convert tribal children is a particulary egregious example of hinduism's non-indigenity in the political sense. less obviously, how anyone not muslim or christian is characterised as "hindu" in the personal codes – excluding the distinct histories of sikhs and jains and buddhists with several hundred year old recorded origins in the country.
two: i could have been invoking the aryan migration hypothesis which examines linguistic, archeological and genetic record to suggest aryan, and therefore vedic tradition migrated into the subcontinent from iran.

KISSING (ASTROLOGY THEORIES). for the real yearners. ✊🏾 this is an eighteen+ post. minors do not interact. this might have more parts as more thoughts come to me, but for now, this is my theory on kissing. part one?
dedicated to my queer little lover. love u silly. 0:) and dedicated to ur lovers as well. i hope they kiss u right.
links. 🌹 — menu. forms. readings.
Tumblr media
💋 WHAT IS A KISS?
a kiss is defined as touching with the lips as a sign of love, sexual desire, reverence, or greeting. kissing doesn’t have to be innately sexual or romantic.
💋 FROM WHERE DID KISSING ORIGINATE?
there are some supposed theories that kissing began as something maternal. either from mothers chewing up food and spitting it directly into their babies’ mouths, or because infants use their lips to touch things as a result of breastfeeding.
the earliest form of kissing is dated back to 4,500 years ago in ancient middle east, around modern day iraq and syria. in the vedic sanskrit texts, it’s believed that kissing began as rubbing ur noses as to breathe in each other’s air.
💋 WHAT DOES A KISS SIGNIFY?
well… that depends on the culture. the ancient vedic sanskrit texts describe kissing as “inhaling the soul,” so it was reserved as something incredibly intimate.
the romans had distinguished forms of kisses depending on the context of whom they kissed, but they also were responsible for popularizing kissing as a sexual act.
kissing as we know it isn’t done by half of the world’s cultures. instead, humans often perform some variation of nuzzling, as do other mammals. kissing with the lips thought of as mainly a western thing.
for that reason, i’ll be speaking from my own cultural lens. i live in the west, and i love to kiss. whether the kiss is chaste or due to being aroused, i love to kiss! but today, i’ll be speaking about kissing in a romantic or sexual context. so keep that in mind.
NOW THAT U HAVE READ THE INTRODUCTION, CLICK Keep reading” TO WELL… KEEP READING!
Tumblr media
PLANET VOCABULARY.
kiss. ruled by venus, as it’s a means of expressing affection / love / desire for another using the lips to touch. it’s not innate to use the tongue, although, deep kisses usually make use of the tongue.
lips, touching, affection, love, & desire are also all ruled by venus.
in particular, lips are taurean. as is the tongue, but the tongue also shares rulership with gemini/mercury. this is a similar case for touching. touching is venus and mercury.
affection is libran and 5H (affection has roots in the word to mean ‘to influence’. it’s very libran to be influenced by others, lmao).
love is 5H/7H, venutian. as is desire. although, for desire, i can see martian (or maybe solar influence). desire has roots in a word meaning “star” or “constellation.” it’s a bit more fiery compared to the other words.
the soul is lunar, 1H. spirit is mercurial, 1H, 3H, as it origins in the word meaning ‘breath.’
there’s also an asteroid simply named “kiss (8267).” many hellenistic astrologers do not work with the extended list of asteroids, but i find myself to blend both traditional and modern ideals as i see fit. so i think the kiss asteroid should be used.
SUMMARY OF RELEVANT PLANETS & HOUSES
venus (taurus, libra), 5H, 7H, 1H, moon (cancer), mercury (gemini), mars (aries, scorpio), kiss asteroid.
i feel stronger about mars having rulership over ‘desire’ than the sun because desire’s etymology dealing with stars and constellations is telling considering stars / constellations are only chartable at night.
but i’d view desire as venutian/5H firstly.
Tumblr media
now that we’ve defined our key terms, we can examine how to identify the act of kissing in the chart. this is an accumulation of my own personal theories.
KISS (8267) ASTEROID
the first and obvious recommendation would be to look into ur kiss asteroid, since it’s a celestial body for kissing. the sign tells u how the energy is expressed. the house tells u of the surrounding conditions informing how it’s expressed. and the aspects made to the body just tell u about how the energy of the body is expressed as well.
example. kiss in capricorn will not function the same as kiss opp saturn. although, they’ll share some qualities. for example, kiss in capricorn can mean the native is a slow kisser, a shy kisser, a tame kisser, or a kisser. for hours.
but kiss opp saturn can mean that the native feels ashamed when kissing so it delays them from being able to comfortably do so, as they feel internal tension. even if they want to kiss.
this doesn’t account house placements. a kiss-saturn opp in the 1-7 houses will be different compared to one in the 5-11 houses.
i feel like it’s a bit of an extra step, but u can also observe the placement of the kiss asteroid in the venus persona chart. i even think the houses can tell u where u like to be kissed. 1H is on the face, 2H is on the lips or neck, and so on.
then u could also read the kiss asteroid’s persona chart. read it as a natal chart specifically for how u kiss, ur ideal of a kiss, what u don’t like. etc. all of the planets have their significations — even if u don’t think it would. ie, saturn can show u shame relating to kissing. moon can show what makes u feel secure and safe. venus can show how kissing pleases u. etc.
NATAL CHART
venus is going to be the second most obvious for me. it’s the planet of love. the planet of lips. the planet of affection and physical affection. of course u would read it for kissing.
in the natal chart, it’s quite simple.
a weakened venus may not enjoy kissing.
an afflicted venus could or couldn’t enjoy kissing. that depends on whether the venus is strong or weak. but the afflicted venus may experience difficulties while kissing or some discomfort.
a blessed venus could be someone who enjoys kissing a lot, & tends to have good experiences with it too!
how u can determine whether or not ur venus is strong/weak or afflicted/blessed is through examining if u have any placements in taurus/libra, the condition of that planet (so, for example… is it a moon in taurus or is it a mars in taurus?), look to the condition of ur venus especially. is it rejoiced? is it combust? what planets is it aspecting? what house is it in? etc.
the 1H-7H tells u of ur soul and ur partner’s soul. these houses are innately connected. obviously and again, look at the conditions of the lords or planets placed if there are any. but ruler of thumb… if u want a real kisser for u… look to the 7H too. look at ur moon. this is ur soul, ur intimacy. observe its conditions.
PERSONA CHARTS
i think u should cast synastry or composite charts of the venus personas in question. where venus/mercury falls in the charts will tell u about the sensation of touch.
maybe in regular synastry y’all got venus conjunct/trine venus. which is really easy overlay (at face value). but maybe in ur synastry/composite of ur venus persona charts, y’all got saturn opposite venus. this helps deepen the context of how venus is expressed between u two.
look at venus of any ascendant persona chart to see the soul’s expression of love and thus physical touch, desire, and so on. when u align ur ascendant personas, where do y’all ascendants fall in each other’s houses? this is how the soul inhaling could also be read. u can do the same for the moon persona, as the moon is associated with the soul too. and i’d recommend casting a venus persona within the ascendant persona. then look at mercury within that chart. how does ur soul like to be touched? how about ur partner’s?
for example, in my venus persona, i have an ascendant in taurus containing the sun in taurus. that means my 7H will naturally be in scorpio. and to me, a scorpio placement is where the real kissers at. it feels wayyy more passionate for me. my bf has a scorpio moon. it also helps his natal ascendant is my venus persona’s 5H, and he has jupiter/sun/mars in my venus persona’s 3H (the house associated with breathing, thus, the origin of the “spirit.”)
tw // sexual harassment. on the other end, someone with their natal ascendant over my venus persona’s 8H (sagittarius) used to try and forcefully kiss me all the time. it got violent a few times (my natal sag mars is in my venus persona 8H, opposite my venus persona gemini mars). his natal venus was in my venus persona 1H, but taurus was his natal 6H. force is ruled by the 1H and mars. and 6H is just malefic. it rules injury and servitude. :(
so i guess this is why i’m saying these overlays help build a world around ur venus that’s even deeper than natal.
and no, this doesn’t mean just because someone’s natal ascendant is in ur 8H that they’ll harass u. there’s other conditions in this overlay that help explain why this happened to me. but again… this is all theoretical.
u could also see the overlay between their natal chart and ur venus persona or vice versa. see if there’s alignment there.
as i previously said, the moon persona + ascendant persona chart will inform of the soul. observe the 2H to see how u “give and receive” parts of urself / others in that way. but i’d recommend looking at the venus persona chart within the moon / ascendant persona, then looking at the 2H.
in the venus persona chart, i feel like mercury and venus will also be used to determine whether or not u like tongue-kissing. also other factors.
for example, in my venus persona, i have a 1H in taurus with a 2H stellium, including my venus persona chart ruler. my natal taurus venus is in the 1H of my venus persona.
the 2H shows what we like to receive or give. so quite literally… i like to give or receive affection through the mouth, tongue, throat, or breath (including fluids of the mouth, which would be ruled by the moon). this manifests as me being quite transparent with my affection for someone (i never been the type to lie & say i didn’t like someone when i did.) but also… it manifests as me loving tongue down my throat. bad.
my boyfriend also has his venus persona chart containing a 2H stellium. his venus persona ascendant is cancer containing jupiter. my natal 1H is conjunct his venus persona 1H.
between us, i think i’m the one who initiates the kisses most however… when we do kiss, it’s very deep and passionate and we whisper to each other between them. plus his venus persona 3H virgo venus is in my natal 3H and in my venus persona 5H.
so… all that to say… find somebody who astrologically match ur freak.
SYNASTRY & COMPOSITE
now… whether ur partner enjoys kissing or not is irrelevant if u think they suck at it.
for heightened desire, having mars aspecting mars, mars aspecting moon, or mars aspecting venus does a lot. whether it’s synastry or composite. i don’t really read mars for sex, but mars as a root / sacral energy planet, i think it had a lot to do with emotions that are feverish and intense. personally, i don’t even think it’s worth kissing if there is no mutual desire.
venus aspecting venus is gonna be a yes from me. also a trine or sextile aspect between venus and saturn can show y’all kiss for a long time
venus-1H… it carries. likewise, venus aspecting benefics or aspecting the sun/chart ruler of the composite chart. it’s gon carry.
as kissing was describing as ‘inhaling the soul,’ i would like to discuss the soul (re: kissing.) this’ll be significant for synastry/overlay/composite, in my opinion. because ur soul alone will be represented by the 1H. but synastry/overlay/composite tells u how ur soul interacts with the soul of a specific other.
for that reason, the planets that inform the 1H will tell u how ur souls are inhaled by each other. even if the ascendant is of a malefic (sun, saturn, mars), that doesn’t mean y’all can’t kiss well. what are the conditions of the lord, the ascendant itself, what are the planets present, etc.
but sometimes, people are simply incompatible. plain and simple. a real kisser to u might suck at kissing to the next person. someone else might not like how much i love kissing with tongue, even though my bf likes it. so do what works for u! kiss people who make u feel honored and safe! and vice versa.
Tumblr media
okay, that’s my kissing theory. i hope y’all liked reading it. readings are open, including custom readings. 👼🏾
with love, HoodReader

Aswini Nakshatra 🐎❤
Nakshatra ruler: Ketu 😌😃
Symbol: Horse 🐎💕
Ever wondered why people with the same star can be so different and their lives too? Here's a short intro to aswini nakshatra observations in all the four padas (Divisions). 🤧💙
This post is for your moon sign's nakshatra. Refer the planetary details table in your vedic chart, find out which pada your aswini moon falls in. Hope u enjoy the read! 🤩❤
General Observation🤗:
Aries people are short tempered and outgoing but Aries moons born in Aswini star are more reserved and focused into their own work. They rarely share their issues even with their best friends or close people. They usually have the habit of isolating themselves when things go wrong. They can be in a relationship with someone who is authoritative or famous in their field- Like a politician's sister or a famous company owner's close friend.
🧡Pada 1🧡
Pada 1 gets vargottama as the moon falls in the same aries house in d9 chart too. Individuals born in this pada can become surgeons, work in healthcare or in scientific research. Transport business can benefit them in gaining more money. Their parents could've suffered financial losses after their birth or their mom could've got sick. They generally avoid talking too much, they're much better listeners and answers back in single sentences. Their friends could get annoyed with them because of their isolating tendencies and one word answers.
💚Pada 2💚
Pada 2 aswini moon falls in Taurus in D9 chart. They're the most different among the people born in this star. They always keep themselves presentable, try to find more ways for multiple incomes, and can be self-centered at times. They love attention and compliments for their looks or dressing style, spend money on luxury or beauty products and often treat themselves to make themselves happy always lmao (like going to spa or buying chocolates for no reason). Their mom can be controlling, they love their mother so much and often have difficulty in disobeying or doing something opposite to their saying. They can obtain wealth or support from mom's side relatives. Food products, agriculture and makeup industry related businesses can be beneficial for them. They have a very sweet or flattering way of speaking and some people are talented singers too. Few of them can experience anxiety or a confused mental state where they have difficulty in making/sticking to a decision. (Sorry that I wrote comparatively more for this Pada, I just know more about this one lol).
💙Pada 3💙
I'm feeling sad for this pada. These people can undergo so many ups and downs in their lives from childhood. As the moon falls in Gemini in d9 for this pada, the moon is an enemy to Gemini's ruler mercury and the moon falls in the 12th house from its own house cancer, these natives face many struggles and can be mentally drained or exhausted most of the time. Their mom's side relatives won't be supportive and can possibly be involved in back biting. Very few people can even lose their mom at the end of ketu mahadasha (This doesn't necessarily have to mean de*th, it can also be separation), if other planetary placements are not positively aspecting the moon ( Don't take this to ur heart, whole chart must be analyzed before saying anything, this was just an observation). It is better to avoid business and to work in companies, you sure will reach a higher position. They're warriors, they come out successful in their career after facing lots of competition.
💗Pada 4💗
Moon falls in it's own sign in Cancer in d9 chart for this pada. They are blessed with a good education, they can even study up to a PhD or more than that. Their mom can be very affectionate, family oriented, protective and an epitome of embodying feminine qualities to the core. They are often seen as cheerful or bubbly, they have an unwavering mindset, not changing their decisions often. If they want to have a side business, they can try their hands on water related businesses like aquaculture or milk supply.
Note: People born with their moon in aswini nakshatra should check for the strength of their Venus placement. Venus Mahadasha (Major planetary period) is for 20 years and they will get it during their crucial age from school to career or sometimes till marriage. Hence if it's afflicted, their peak life stage can be with ups and downs. 😌💛
One more note: Please don't feel bad if you read any negative points. I do not want to sugarcoat/hide anything, at the same time, do not want to hurt anyone's feelings. We all have ups and downs, it's just one placement, your whole chart decides your fate, this is just for knowledge. *Sending positive vibezzz only* ❤😍❤

Vedic astrology through the artwork of Salvia (aka salvia001011)
Uttarabhadrapada moon, Magha sun, Ashelsha ascendant conjunct mars
(Born on 18/8/2000, claims to be a tropical Leo rising)
CW: body horror
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wanted to make an infodump type post about this artist exploring her placements and how they manifest through her art (partially because my friends are probably sick of my random bs lol).
Salvia is a visual artist and musician, although I will be only exploring her visual art in this post. A lot of her work involves distortion of the human body, violence, machinery, restraint and the extraterrestrial/otherworldly.
Firstly her face is compact and square, reflective of her uttarabhadrapada moon alone.
However it is also a Saturn nakshatra. Saturn typically represents restraint and order. Being the furthest visible planet from the sun, it is cold (physically and symbolically), but also distant to the emotion + ego as Saturn is more concerned with was is right rather than what comforts you the most. Note that Capricorn and Aquarius opposes Cancer and Leo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the image on the left, we seem to be in some kind of basement with that blank wall and bright lighting. The figure is entrapped in a metal cage with bizarre machinery holding her up by her scalp. Saturn is largely associated with this kind of metal machinery (although this is a more contemporary interpretation for obvious reasons), and holds significant relevance in this instance as the there are clear themes of restraint.
Even though there’s a great almost medieval brutality in both images, there’s also a great stillness and calm evoked by the pale colour palette and blank facial expressions. Under Saturn’s surpression, the natives often cultivate a quiet and reserved nature, willingly or not, as self control is valued. This however may lead to an emotional blockage or emptiness in the face of unexpressed discomfort or inner chaos.
Another thing about Saturn, especially when expressed through the UBP in pisces, is that it can often be related to ethereal/ alien aesthetics. Grimes is a very popular example of this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for other chart influences, the Ketu influence from magha nakshatra is also evident. Ketu is the headless body to Rahu’s dragon head. The head represents our ego and sense of identity, as we recognise most of the people in our lives by their faces/heads. In fact, we read people’s facial expressions to gain a bias of what the person is feeling and what their personality is like, giving us the ability to categorise them by associating them with people we know.
I’ve chosen to include the two images above as examples because I feel they particularly emphasise Ketu traits. The head is either missing or obscured in some way, taking away our ability to “understand” people that I just described. We are left with a body, a physical form, rather than a human being whose intentions we can decipher.
On the image to the left, the bodies are further distorted into different shapes. This adds to the ketuvian ambiguity. Ketu is associated with our past life, and like a foetus in the womb or a very distant memory, it does not feel fully formed or defined.
Many artists who distort the body in this conventionally disturbing and mysterious manner have Ketu influence, I may compile a list of these artists another time if anyone’s curious, as well as make a distinction between Ketu artists and non-Ketu artists who make similarly dark content.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving onto her ascendant, I’ve marked Salvia as an Ashelsha ascendant as opposed to Pushya or Magha due to the fact that:
a) She occasionally does Old Hollywood type glamour makeup (example on left) which I have observed to be popular amongst Ashlesha natives, as some of the people who participated in this highly glamorous aesthetic when it first arose being born under this nakshatra. Greta Garbo (Ashlesha venus), Marilyn Monroe (Ashlesha asc) being two prominent examples. Lana Del Rey (Ashlesha moon) is also known for being heavily influenced by this specific aesthetic.
b) Ashlesha is symbolically associated with being bound and restrained, reiterating the themes that we discussed earlier.
c) Ashlesha is an outcaste nakshatra. Salvia occasionally mentions being ostracised or harassed in public for her style, and her work does contain a sense of eroticism that mainstream society would deem too taboo to try to understand it. There’s a type of separation from the rest of society here that could be indicative of the presence of an outcaste nakshatra
d) Salvia has Ashlesha mars debilitated in Cancer. Having mars on the ascendant would intensify themes of violence and war (see right image with gun), which are more negative traits of mars. Mars is also associated with the physical body, but less in a ketuvian sense of dismemberment, and moreso in the sense of using one’s own physical body as a medium for creating art, as is relevant to this instance. For someone who is a performer and creates visual art from pictures of their own body, this seems like a probable placement.
Yeah that’s it I don’t have anything else to say lol. Lmk your thoughts if you have any

SATURN AFFECT AS PER ITS PLACEMENT IN VEDIC HOROSCOPE
In Vedic astrology, Saturn (Shani) is considered a powerful and karmic planet. Its placement in a birth chart is believed to have a profound influence on a person's life. Saturn is associated with discipline, hard work, responsibility, delay, restrictions, and life lessons. It is often seen as the head teacher of the zodiac, teaching individuals important life lessons through trials and obstacles.
Let’s understand some of Saturn's placement affecting a person:
1. House Placement
The house in which Saturn is placed in a birth chart influences the areas of life where a person might face challenges or delays. However, with effort and perseverance, these areas can also become sources of growth and strength.
Saturn in the 1st House (Ascendant): This can make a person disciplined, serious, and responsible, but they may face challenges related to self-esteem or physical health. They often mature early in life.
Saturn in the 2nd House: Financial delays, but wealth accumulation is possible through hard work. Relationships with family members may be strict or distant.
Saturn in the 5th House: Creativity, love, and children might be areas of restriction or delay. Success may come later in life in these areas.
Saturn in the 7th House: Challenges in marriage or partnerships. Relationships might come later in life or involve older partners. It can also bring a responsible and committed partner.
Saturn in the 10th House: Career and reputation are influenced. Hard work is rewarded, but success may come with time and effort. The person may hold leadership or authoritative roles.
2. Sign Placement
The zodiac sign Saturn occupies gives insights into how a person deals with responsibilities, discipline, and obstacles.
Exalted in Libra: Saturn is considered strong in Libra, leading to balanced decision-making, justice, and fair leadership. These individuals often handle challenges with maturity and poise.
Debilitated in Aries: Saturn is weak in Aries, which can lead to impulsive decisions, lack of patience, and difficulties in managing discipline and structure.
Strong in Capricorn and Aquarius: These are Saturn’s own signs. When placed here, Saturn gives structure, ambition, and long-term success through hard work.
3. Aspects and Conjunctions
Saturn's aspects on other planets and houses can bring discipline, delays, or restrictions to those areas. It aspects the 3rd, 7th, and 10th houses from its placement.
Aspect on the Moon: This can cause emotional hardships or a tendency to be more serious and reserved.
Aspect on the Sun: It may lead to struggles with authority or father figures, but it can also bring strong leadership qualities when disciplined.
Conjunction with Jupiter: Known as "Shani Guru Yoga," this can bring a balance between discipline and wisdom, but it may also create a tug-of-war between optimism and realism.
4. Dasha and Transit
Saturn Dasha (Major Period): The period when Saturn is the ruling planet of a person’s chart. This phase is often marked by significant life lessons, hard work, and responsibilities. It can bring success through perseverance but also challenges.
Sade Sati: This is a seven-and-a-half-year period when Saturn transits over a person’s natal Moon and the houses before and after. It is considered a time of challenges and transformation, but it can also lead to personal growth and maturity if handled well.
5. Karmic Influence
Saturn is seen as a planet that represents karma. Its placement is often interpreted as an indicator of the karmic lessons a person must learn in this lifetime. It demands discipline, patience, and persistence and can bring long-term rewards when these qualities are cultivated.
6. Effects of a Strong vs. Weak Saturn
Strong Saturn (well-placed, exalted, or in good dignity): Such individuals are disciplined, hardworking, mature, responsible, and patient. They often achieve success later in life through persistent effort.
Weak Saturn (afflicted, debilitated, or poorly placed): This can lead to laziness, fear, procrastination, or a tendency to avoid responsibilities. The person might feel burdened by life’s duties and face delays and obstacles.
In summary, Saturn's placement in Vedic astrology signifies life's challenges and responsibilities, but it also provides the potential for growth, wisdom, and long-lasting success through discipline and perseverance.
So please don’t understand Saturn to be a negative planet, he is the karmdata.

PLACEMENTS THAT INDICATE ONES A GOOD SINGER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please take all of these predictions with a grain of salt I'm not a professional astrologer.
FOR ASTRO POSTS HERE IS MY MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
This post indicates all the placements that can make one a good singer or one can end up have a good voice
However one placement cannot decide everything one needs to see an entire chart into consideration
Hi @xomoongirlxo here's the post you were asking for
When I have to notice such placements I tend to focus on 3 planets in particular MERCURY, VENUS & NEPTUNE. One rules communication the other artistic abilities and the last one mysticism. And that to me is a singer. Some even say Neptune is the higher octave of Venus which is even better.
🎹 Mercury in Capricorn or Aquarius
Natives with this placement tend to be good at both singing and well as rapping. Be it hitting the high notes or singing a rap verse these people can do both. Highly talented individuals. Their also very good at writing lyrics or making catchy beats.
🎹 Earth or Fire Mercuries
These people just add so much energy to any song. When they write a song they uplift people with their lyrics. Dope lyrics and dope songs. I feel they also have good voices more like chill voices. Also good at singing party songs.
🎹 Mercury conjunct Neptune
These people really have the ability to heal through their voices like they could be singing a song that's really sad yet it would somehow make you feel calm as if someone is listening, as if they understand you and your troubles.
🎹 Water Descendants
For this one I would be honest I've seen many celebrities charts which have a water descendant and mind you these are iconic singers lol. But I don't have an apt explanation for it.
🎹 Aries Rising
These people are just born to perform. Most of them are really good at singing and even if they are not they really pick up quickly not only that you would just love to listen to them talk if they don't sing.
🎹 Water Moons [especially Pisces moon]
Water moons tend to have a voice that puts so much emotions into songs, the songs that make you weep or the ones that make your heart beat. Especially Pisces Moons are such great singers haven't met one that doesn't sing well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎹 Saturn conjunct Rahu in the 10th house [vedic]
This placement I saw in the charts of many old singers and they had this exceptional voice. If these people nurture their artistic talents people won't be able to come close to them for competition.
🎹 Cancer Risings in vedic chart
These people have such attention grabbing voice you can try but you won't be able to stop yourself from pausing and listening to their ethereal voices. Siren like voices really powerful placement. Can also sing sad songs really well. Even if your happy if they sing it you will feel the pain & sadness.
🎹 Mercury in leo in vedic chart
These people always get the notes right very perfect for singing. Their also quite hardworking and very particular about music too like if it's a falsetto they will sing it a certain way, if they're hitting a high note to f4 then it shall be pitch perfect.
🎹 Venus and Mercury in the same sign [doesn't have to be conjunct]
These people have such an exceptional ability to sing different notes just effortlessly they don't show even a sign of discomfort on their face. Maybe it just comes naturally to them. Many singer who have this placement people love to listen to them sing even for a second. Their well liked by their fans.
🎹 Rahu in the 2nd house [vedic]
Their songs, the lyrics and their voices all together makes them a perfect singer they learn quickly too can make songs sound ethereal or if can nail songs that need to give mystical vibes.
Signs mostly seen : Pisces, Leo, Aries, Libra.
Honorable mentions : Taurus 2nd house, North node/ Rahu in Taurus.

∘•······•∘ʚ What is Numerology? ɞ∘•········•∘
Is the study of the symbolism of numbers, each number representing an area of human consciousness, expression, characteristics and talents.
The numbers are energy that can vibrate in a positive or negative potential.
Think of it as a balance where the positive potencial is in the center and at each extreme we find an extreme overbalance or an extreme underbalance, if the number is vibrating at the extreme of either side the energy is negative, if the number is vibrating in the center of the balance the energy is positive.
In the study of numerology you will find out that there is not just one method/branch to study numerology, we have the western numerology that use the numbers 1 to 9 and the master numbers 11 and 22, we have the Kabbalah method that use the Hebrew alphabet (22 letters) to decipher the meaning behind your name and The Tree of Life, we also have the Vedic numerology that use astrology and the numbers 1 to 9, there is no 9 when we analyze the name and finally the Pythagoras method.

Fixed Stars in Astrology

Tumblr media
Hi Siren! So, Regulus is a fixed star and not an asteroid and fixed stars are not commonly used in western astrology and so I can explain what they are, but I am not going to do a in deep post about them into it because I don't qualify as a the best source on the subject (there's a module extra at my school on the subject but I still can't do it 😅).
1. What are Fixed Stars and How They Work:
Fixed stars are distant celestial objects in the night sky that appear to be stationary relative to each other and form the background against which the planets and other celestial bodies move. They are considered "fixed" because their positions change very slowly over time, about 1 degree every 72 years. Fixed stars are grouped into zodiacal and non-zodiacal constellations. These constellations have mythological narratives associated with them, known as catasterisms, which vary across cultures. These stars were traditionally an integral part of astrology, lost some significance over time, but are now regaining importance in astrological interpretation in the western astrology, as far as I, Julia, know, it has always had its place in Vedic astrology..
2. Different Cultures and Narratives:
Different cultures have unique narratives associated with the constellations. Even cultures with limited contact have narratives that share similarities, indicating a shared human connection to the stars. Western astrology often uses Greco-Roman mythological narratives for interpretation, incorporating elements from other mythologies as well.
3. Benefic and Malefic Fixed Stars:
Fixed stars can be classified as benefic or malefic based on their astrological influences. For example, Algol (β Persei) is considered one of the most malefic stars, associated with challenging and intense energies. In contrast, Spica is considered one of the most beneficial stars.
4. Precession of the Equinoxes and Positional Changes:
The precession of the equinoxes causes gradual shifts in the positions of stars and constellations over long periods of time. This phenomenon impacts the positions of stars in relation to zodiac signs and constellations, which can lead to differences in interpretations between traditional and modern astrology.
5. Astrological Implications:
Fixed stars can be used in horary astrology to provide insights into future events and projects, particularly when they align with significant points in the chart, like the Sun's conjunction with Regulus in Virgo. They offer indications about qualities such as authority, generosity, courage, and more.
6. Finding Fixed Stars in Your Birth Chart:
The positions of fixed stars in your birth chart are determined by factors such as their brightness, size, and their alignment with key points like the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, and Imun Coeli. Astrologers use methods like the Ptolemaic method to calculate these positions and offer insights into an individual's life and traits. But since I know you're not going to do the calculations by hand, you can look up fixed stars on astro.com or on my favorite program Pegasus (this program has a very early 00's interface, but it calculates very well and has the option in english and other languages).

Hi. How Are you? I hope you are doing well.
I want to ask you about the Human Design. We have the Personality(Conscious) vs Design(Unconscious) sides. The design side has a birthdate, 88 days before the actual birthday. Why is that? I have watched that maybe the day of our souls entered the body, and one day I have looked its birthchart (with the birthdate of design side) and I kinda relate to it but idk if its convinient. Please, is the design chart valid or not? Thank you
human design: how does the design portion of the chart work?
hi, i briefly covered the purpose of the design chart and why i believe it's taken 88 days before. but i am happy to review some textbook reasons of why it's valid!
unconscious influences: the position of the planets 88 days before your birth represents genetic, cellular, and ancestral influences. these are traits that operate below your conscious awareness, but deeply affect your life and how you interact with the world. they are still their in the gates of your chart and grant you abilities but you are likely unaware that you have them.
the body’s intelligence: its how your body processes information and experiences; often operating on an instinctual or automatic level. this can be in terms of health, emotions, and physical responses to situations. again, these are unconscious abilities.
understanding conditioning: this reveal how external factors like family, culture, and society have shaped certain unconscious patterns or behaviors over time. it's a bit like pavlov's dogs or anything to that extent - your soul and the universe set up what you wanted to experience and where you would live and who you with. this part of the chart is that.
here is an example from my chart: the 4th gate for me is active but unconscious.
"4 - problem solver: fixing, solutions for problems that don't exist, over-preparedness, needing to always be doing something, puzzle lovers, can't understand something and getting anxiety from not being able to understand, over fixation, needing to lighten up, cleverness, having an answer for everything, whats relevant, etc."
this has more to do with how i was raised than it does with conscious effort in my opinion. my 13th gate is active and conscious i choose to listen to others (that's something i consciously do). i can't help it that i end up not being very comforting, but instead i go into problem solving mode. even if i am trying my hardest not to start problem solving and giving advice, the "how can i help fix this" dialogue starts in my head. and that is probably because no one was around to help me fix things when i was little. my father was absent, most of the time i spent with my stepmother but it was often in front of a tv. and my mother work a lot as my primary care taker and a single mother so i grew up in daycare. i had to learn to be independent and fix things on my own. unconscious i guess i always wanted to have help and advice from others so i actively do so in the waking world.
so i recommend looking at the design portion as things that guided you to becoming who you are - it might take a bit of self-reflection. but it does have validity. it has as much validity as a vedic and a topical chart, a solar return and a venus return, a persona chart, etc. it requires unpacking when you might not instantly understand "why?", but it's there.
like what you read? leave a tip and state what post it is for! please use my “suggest a post topic” button if you want to see a specific post or design related post next!

Palmistry Myths vs. Reality: Understanding the Truth Behind Palm Reading
Palmistry, the fascinating art of palm reading, has intrigued people for centuries. Many seek its guidance, hoping to uncover hidden truths about themselves, their future, and their relationships. However, along with its rich history and potential insights, palmistry is also surrounded by numerous myths and misconceptions. In this blog, we’ll dive deep into some of the most common myths versus the realities of palm reading, revealing how this ancient practice can bring clarity and understanding to your life.
What Is Palmistry?
Before we unravel the myths, let's take a moment to understand what palmistry really is. At its core, palmistry is the study of the lines, shapes, and mounts of the hands. Each person’s palm is unique, reflecting their personality, potential, and life experiences. Through careful observation, a skilled palm reader can gain insights into a person's character, challenges, and opportunities.
Tumblr media
The Roots of Palmistry
Palmistry has its origins in ancient civilizations, including India, China, and Greece. It’s intertwined with various cultural practices, including Vedic astrology. In Vedic traditions, palm reading is often seen as a companion to astrology, providing additional layers of understanding about one’s life path. This rich history adds depth to the practice, showing that palmistry is not just a fleeting trend but a time-honored approach to self-discovery.
Myth 1: Palm Reading Is Just Fortune-Telling
One of the biggest misconceptions about palmistry is that it’s solely about predicting the future. While it’s true that some palm readers may focus on forecasting events, the reality is much broader and richer. Palmistry is more about self-discovery and personal insight than about seeing into a crystal ball.

Many people seek palm reading during times of transition—perhaps after a major life change or when feeling lost. The insights gained from palmistry can offer a fresh perspective, helping you understand why you react to certain situations in specific ways. This self-awareness can lead to empowerment, allowing you to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence.
Myth 2: Palm Reading Is Superstitious Nonsense
Some skeptics dismiss palmistry as mere superstition, believing it to be devoid of any real value or scientific basis. They view it as a form of entertainment rather than a genuine tool for understanding oneself.
Reality: A Skill Developed Over Centuries
While palmistry may not be scientifically proven in the same way as some fields, it is built on centuries of observation and practice. Experienced palmists study the intricacies of hand shapes, finger lengths, and the various lines that form on the palm. This knowledge provides valuable insights that can be both practical and meaningful.
The Intersection of Palmistry and Vedic Astrology
As mentioned earlier, palmistry is closely linked to Vedic astrology. In this tradition, your palm can provide insights that complement your astrological chart. By combining these two practices, you gain a more holistic understanding of your personality and life path.
Myth 3: Only Certain People Can Read Palms
Many believe that palm reading is an exclusive skill reserved for a select few, often mystics or fortune-tellers. This perception can discourage individuals from exploring palmistry for themselves.
Reality: Anyone Can Learn Palmistry
The beautiful truth about palmistry is that anyone can learn to read palms with practice and patience. There are numerous resources available, from books to online courses, that can guide you through the basics. With an open mind and a willingness to learn, you can start interpreting the signs in your own palm or those of your loved ones.
Finding Your Style
As you delve into palm reading, you’ll likely find your unique approach to interpreting palms. Some people focus on the lines, while others pay attention to the mounts and shapes of the hands. Embrace your style and let your intuition guide you. This personal touch will make the experience even more rewarding.
Myth 4: Palm Reading Is Only for Women
Another common myth is that palmistry is primarily a women’s domain. While many women are drawn to the art of palm reading, this practice is for everyone, regardless of gender.
Reality: A Universal Tool for Insight
Palmistry is a universal practice that transcends gender. People of all backgrounds can benefit from understanding the insights offered by their palms. In fact, many men find palmistry to be a valuable tool for self-reflection and personal growth.
The Benefits for Everyone

Horse Sacrifice, Symbolism, & Mythology of the Anglo-Saxons
Germanic horse sacrifice has it’s roots in a similar cultural practice of the Indo-Europeans, which originated in the Eurasian Steppe and eventually expanded Westward. Matter of fact, the earliest discovered horse burial dates back to approximately the 4th century BC in what is modern day Ukraine. The Eurasian Steppe also happens to be where horses were first domesticated 6000 years ago. It is likely that the horse sacrifice present amongst the Indo-Europeans traces back even further to the Proto-Indo-European peoples. Horses first began to be used in Britain during the Bronze Age, in which they were used to carry carts. Throughout the Iron Age, horses were utilized to transport goods during battle, a custom that survived among the Anglo-Saxons. Within the past few decades, several excavations have unearthed fascinating horse burials indicating ritualistic horse worship, as well as suggesting the existence of a horse cult. This post delves into the many burials, mythology, and worship of horses amongst the Anglo-Saxons.
Connection to the Gods
The spiritual significance of horses was greatly recognized by our Germanic ancestors. They were of course crucial for their physical capabilities, but the Germanic peoples viewed them as links to the divine and possessors of sacred knowledge. Tacitus discusses this in his work Germania, claiming that the Germanic peoples divined the future from the neighing of horses. Furthermore, Tacitus beautifully explains the attentive treatment of these animals: “These [horses] are nourished by the State in the same sacred woods and groves, all milk-white and employed in no earthly labour.” This description certainly asserts the prized status of horses within Germanic society. In the Vedic religion, Hayagriva was a horse headed god mostly associated with wisdom, who is also Vishnu incarnate. Those with educational aspirations or hopes to obtain higher knowledge would have worshipped Hayagriva. The concept of horses being creatures of spiritual wisdom is very much an Indo-European belief. Additionally, there are a plethora of horses mentioned in the Sagas. The most notable is Sleipnir, Woden’s eight legged horse who travels to Hel in Baldrs draumar. Most of the gods have their own horses, and the valkyries ride down to battlefields to collect the slain while mounted on them. The horse Grani in the Volsunga Saga is said to be related to Woden’s majestic horse. The Anglo-Saxons may have believed that horses also had the ability to traverse transcendent realms and were the means of transportation to the afterlife.
Kings & Warriors
Horses have long been associated with the ruling class. The majority of Anglo-Saxons did not own horses as they were expensive to maintain and there were a myriad of other animals much more useful in their society. Horses were instead reserved for the wealthy elite and times of war. The significance of the horse amongst nobility is certainly rooted in Indo-European culture. Ashvameda, a horse sacrifice ritual of the Vedic religion, exemplifies this. The rite aimed to validate a ruler’s authority and status. Ashvamedha was a rather elaborate event which made use of many men, animals, and other resources. Some horses were even selectively bred for the use of Anglo-Saxon kings during battle, as suggested in The Anglo-Saxon chronicle. However, it is worth nothing that it has been debated for decades whether the Anglo-Saxons used horses exclusively as a mode of transportation to battle, or if they fought while mounted as well. Regardless, the importance of horses in warrior culture is unequivocal. Horses take on more of an adventurous role in the Anglo Saxon Rune Poem: “Riding seems easy to every warrior while he is indoors and very courageous to him who traverses the high-roads on the back of a stout horse.” The rune poem demonstrates the brave nature of horses, and perhaps has a more arcane double meaning referencing a more metaphysical journey. It was also not uncommon for horses to be gifted to each other (again, typically for use in combat) indicated by several prominent tales such as Beowulf. A 10th century collection of manuscripts known as the Exeter Book contains a poem called The Wanderer, in which a rather sorrowful narrator reflects on the past’s events and lessons. The entire poem is filled with imagery of warriors in the mead hall, fighting alongside and honoring their friends, as well as the gloom of a bloody battlefield. More importantly, however, is the second half of the poem: “Where is the horse gone? Where the rider? …Alas for the mailed warrior! Alas for the splendour of the prince!” The poem not only strengthens the bond between the warrior, the elite and the horse, but highlights the introspective all-knowing aspect as well. Although a blatantly Christian poem, many scholars are confident that this poem predates the Exeter Book. The meaning of this poem and it’s imagery is very much rooted in the pre-Christian Anglo-Saxon warrior mindset. Additionally, knowing that many pagan beliefs were syncretized with the new foreign faith, may suggest that this poem is more pagan than one may expect. The Anglo-Saxons had their own ancestral horse gods in the form of Hengist and Horsa, whose names translate to “stallion” and “horse.” The two brothers originated in Jutland, eventually leading the Angles, Saxons, and their fellow Jutes to settle in Britain. During the 5th century, the brothers arrived in Kent and later reigned over this region. Horsa was killed during a battle between the native Britons, leaving Hengist to rule over Kent. Hengist and Horsa are also descendants of Woden, as asserted by Bede and other royal genealogies- another reason horses are closely connected to the divine, prophetic abilities, and wisdom. Hengist and Horsa’s existence as great kings and warriors emphasizes the idea that horses are noble, honorable creatures; the totem animal of great leaders.
Horse Inhumations & Consumption
Numerous horse burials have been excavated across Northwestern Europe the past couple of decades. For the sake of conciseness, I’ll focus on three. The first horse burial worth noting is the Suffolk horse burial which dates back to 600-700 AD. The excavation unearthed the remains of a horse and an Anglo-Saxon warrior. The warrior was buried alongside a shield and sword, and scholars believe the horse was likely a sacrifice. The Wulfsen horse burial of Germany contained the remains of three horses dating back to 700-800 AD, and human remains were discovered in the surrounding areas. One of the oldest horse burials uncovered in England is that of the Pocklington chariot burial, which consisted of the remains of an elite Iron Age Briton, two horses, and a chariot. All of these burials acknowledge the large role horses played in the culture of warriors and nobility among the Northwestern Europeans. The muslim writer Ahmad ibn Fadlan even described a funerary ritual for a chieftain farther North in which two horses were made to run laps, then cut up and placed into a ship to be buried. Consumption of horse meat amongst the Germanic peoples also occurred, though it was not as common among the Anglo-Saxons. This practice was completely expunged from England upon the arrival of Christianity. Post conversion, the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle records periods in which horse consumption resumed upon times of famine.
Other Information
Horses played a large role in fertility rituals, especially those dedicated to the God Freyr, though I have not seen this specifically recorded among the Anglo-Saxons. The 12th century work Liber Eliensis claimed Queen Aelfthryth used magick to transform herself into a horse while behaving in a promiscuous manner. A story in the Flateyjarbok describes a strange ritual among the Norse where a woman sought out a sacred horse penis. Moreover, there is a link between horses and the celestial bodies, as attested by the Eddas and Bronze Age archaeology.
Conclusion
Horses were a prominent feature of the elite Anglo-Saxon class and warrior culture. A connection to the divine, Woden, and magick is made obvious by literary records. It is very likely that horses were vessels to the afterlife, perhaps explaining the several burials and funerary sacrifices featuring them. They may have even been a symbolic animal to Freyr/Ing cults and fertility cults across Northwestern Europe.
