ANONYMOUS ASKED; A wooden crate perches itself just outside the tailor's boutique. Once opened, a luxurious vintage bottle of wine emerges. Cabernet Sauvignon, hailing from the most prestigious vineyards of Midgar, aged to perfection. Finest vintage.
There is no denying Vaux's curiosity 'pon his approach to the boutique that chilly morning - the unknown crate sat lonesome on the doorstep an unexpected arrival. Apprehension seizes his chest all but briefly as he crouches down to pick it up - the idle weight felt one in which he couldn't immediately identify. In the very least, it didn't appear to be aught that would cause harm...
Unlocking the grand doors and stepping inside, Vaux is careful to place the crate 'pon the reception desk and shed his coat ere he thinks of opening it. He's careful - as one has to be with nails but only recently well manicured - and once the glass bottle is betwixt fingers does he roll it over in his grasp in order to identify the label.
He finds himself more than pleasantly surprised at the gift, hums in thought - it would be a shame to drink such a fine bottle on his lonesome one evening - but as he makes an attempt to search the small crate for a gift card or perhaps a note, Vaux is disappointed to find no such thing at all.
Once more the bottle is regarded and then placed safely back within the crate in which it had arrived in - quietly, it is carried into the back room where it is tucked away safe for a special occasion or something of that sort. Though tempted, Vaux wouldn't waste a wine of that prestige on an evening merely in front of the television at home. No- it would, instead, wait for the opportune moment.

@presidentiial || A GIFT OR TWO
Eyes could not recall the last time they had set comfortably upon the sights of snow - the glistening flakes falling from the clouded heavens above was utterly mesmerising and, while walking, did Vaux become temporarily occupied in merely watching. Slowly, but surely, did the ground beneath his boots become blanketed in white and the longer in which he moved, the thicker it became. By the time he had made it near to the centre of the plate the powder beauty was damn near ankle deep - little wonder the trains had ceased to run.
Lithe fingers gently adjusted the scarf twisted around his neck, gloves doing little to keep them warm as they looped once more around the handles of bags. Weary though he felt, Vaux continued his trek until his tired and somewhat dishevelled form arrived into the foyer of the Shinra HQ Building - shivering silently as he passed everything through security before heading upstairs.
Floor after floor in the elevator passed by, the tailor waiting until near enough the top before departing - the presidential suite; somewhere he had been only once or twice before but somewhere he had gained access to (with thanks to one or two of the Turks-) that evening; an exponentially special evening as far as Vaux thought~
Christmas? Vaux didn’t particularly celebrate it, in truth - his mother had invited his sister over to celebrate in their own way while Vaux had spent most of the day in his own apartment simply watching some television, finishing the odd project, reading a magazine~ Nothing out of the ordinary for rare time off.
It was, however, another important day that had fallen that had the tailor smiling as he lit an array of beautiful smelling candles and lay out wrapped gifts. Inside? All varieties from personally tailored shirts, vests, cravats, cufflinks to more personal items such as a silver chained bracelet and a matching necklace; simple but masculine. Rufus was difficult to shop for - he was a man who could have absolutely anything he wanted; so what could one buy someone who potentially had everything? Vaux didn’t know - but he had tried - and the final box held a bottle of vintage champagne~
With a gentle chuckle did Vaux stick a ribbon around his forehead and tied it in a bow - and proceeded to comfortably and quietly wait for his dearest to return to his surprise company after, no doubt, a long day of everything.
