Vanessa Pham and Jonathan Rogers skating to Scheherazade for their free dance at the 2023 Junior US Nationals, 2022 Junior Grand Prix Courchevel and 2022 Junior Lake Placid Ice Dance International and 2022 Junior Dallas Classic. I think Pham has two slightly different dresses.

Travel to Soc Trang + Clinic Setup (7/10) | Michelle Pham (UCSD)
Today's the day where we finally depart to Sóc Trăng for clinic! With our new providers joining us on this trip, we had to take three buses rather than our usual two buses! The bus ride took around four hours, and on the way there we stopped by a rest area as well as a restaurant for lunch before directly visiting the clinic site. This was the same restaurant that 14Gers went to as well, and we were given lovely singing performances as well as Cambodian-inspired dances (they even encouraged us to get out of our seats and do the dance with them!)
Above: Getting ready to travel to Sóc Trăng!
Above: Made a pit stop at this lovely restaurant in Sóc Trăng where we were served yummy food and fun karaoke and dance performances inspired by Cambodian culture! Our MEMObers and advisors stole the show!
After lunch, we headed to the clinic site for set-up and medical training refresher for our 15Gers. When we arrived, we sat in the dining area first where the townspeople generously prepared us nước mía (sugarcane juice) and rambutan fruit for our long journey from Sài Gòn. It was exciting to see and reunite with a couple of familiar faces from last mission trip. As we were resting, Sammy was telling me and a few people at our table a riddle about elephants that she learned at camp HAHAH. Shay, Addy, and I were able to solve it, but Justin couldn't figure it out for the life of him, so that was funny (don't look up the riddle!)
Above: Finally made it to our clinic site! Peep Jordan with his fat team leader backpack; we were given nước mía (sugarcane juice) and rambutan!; new rooms for internal medicine and dental!
After settling down for a bit, we proceeded with a tour of the clinic layout and it was undoubtedly bigger than the one during 14G! It looked more organized and structured, and we didn't really have to worry about set-up since everything was pretty much taken care of already—they had separate rooms prepared for internal medicine/general consultations, dental, pharmacy, etc., and there was also fans and AC in each room!
After touring, the 15G officers facilitated the vitals training refresher, split up into three rotations: blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. Vanessa, Justin, and I taught blood pressure teehee.
Above: The next four clinic days were held at this school, with the help of Ms. Mười, the school principal that we've been collaborating with. Above: a large room for the dental team; middle: waiting area for pts; bottom: medical training refresher for 15Gers on taking vitals!
After dinner, we went to bed and mentally prepared for tomorrow's big day: Clinic Day 1!! I was excited to be able to potentially reunite with more friends and to put my foot forward in serving the patients that would be coming in tomorrow.

2022 JGP Latvia entry #41
Free dance
Vainik/Barshak(GEO)
Thoughts: the dismount out that lift near the end was a little wobbly. But purple looks amazing on Grace.
Pham/Rogers(USA)
Thoughts: Vanessa is divine. But I liked Jonathan’s SP outfit more than this outfit.
Karl/Hoferichter(GER)
Thoughts: In the short dance I liked Kai. But here, Karla really shined.
Pinchuk/Pogorielov(UKR)
Thought: I’m thinking that I’ve seen one too many Harley Quin programs. Because I know the music was from suicide squad but if that’s what Maria and Nikita were going for, then Maria wasn’t giving me Harley AT ALL.

According to Dave (grain of salt?) Michael Parsons just got knee surgery so that’s why G/Pa’s assignments are later. In the next breath, CPom Carmen?!
oof Dave did say Michael "just" had knee surgery- i wonder what his recovery timeline is - it's going to take time for him to be back full strength
he also said Vanessa Pham/Anton Spiridonov are training at IAM
his insistence that Ian is too good for Emily is starting to make me mad - Emily is the solid foundation of that partnership near as i can tell - she's right there with him doing the "hardest twizzles in the field." and Ian's learning curve on partnering is in progress. this week it was Annabelle Morozov that Dave wants Ian to pair with (which, what? they don't seem like a match in the least). anyone can have a fluke mistake, but if it was Emily instead of Ian who fell at Worlds, he'd be much harsher on her than he's been on Ian. justice for Emily lol
so that's why Gr/Pa's assignments are later, but those are the same 2 GPs as CPom's. i wonder if it was chance or by request that they have late GPs as well

Lex in depth: how safe are America’s regional banks?
Vanessa Pham always has plenty to worry about as chief executive of Omsom, a fast-growing Asian food kit company. But the possibility of losing all her start-up’s money in a bank run was not one of them — until now. On March 9, she found herself scrambling to withdraw Omsom’s cash from Silicon Valley Bank. […]

mrs.robinson ☑️: Seoul Hanoi'd new single, Labour, is out now on all streaming platforms! Our seventh studio album, 'is/was' out April 10th!
Lead single Labour was co-written by Franny Sor Robinson, Hannah Sadutsang, and Vanessa Pham and is a love letter to women throughout history but especially our mothers and grandmothers.
MV description under the cut:
Similar vibe to the video above, but it alternates between scenes of two couples, played by lead singer Franny Sor Robinson and drummer Max Cho, and multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Hannah Sadutsang and musician (mainly violinist or backup drummer) Andy Chaiyaporn mostly around a table of food prepared by the woman in each scene.
The scenes alternate between a historical setting, where the couples are wearing their traditional historical clothing, a classic 1950s scene in Western 50's clothing, and a modern scene. The table scenes are interspersed with closeups of the women taking off their jewelry, makeup, untying their hair, etc in each time period as the bridge is sung. In the last chorus where the chorus and bridge overlap, the women are seen brazenly eating what's on the table with their hands in their messier, hair down, unadorned states. The music video ends with Franny in the 1950s style clothing shoving plates of food off of the table onto the floor with a bored expression on her face and looked at her "husband" (Max) as if daring him to say something to her.
Franny is the lead singer on the track with backing vocals by Hannah and Vanessa Pham, and the teenage daughters of some of the members were brought into the studio to record backing vocals.
