This is my interpretation of an older Link. Homie looks like he needs a hug, a massage, a good rest & a lifetime of peace. I’d like to think the older he gets the more he’ll look like a Viking, hence the sideburn braids & the nu-metal soul patch. Maybe I’ll do an even older version where he looks like he’s about to venture to Valhalla. Also the beads in his braids are a little tribute to the Champions.

Like any other tumblr scoundrel I’m making a whole AU thing. In a spark of pure originality this Ganon is the lone Gerudo Male but this time, (…wait for it…) he’s not evil (HOW REVOLUTIONARY!). Since the Wilds-Era showcases a Gerudo society without a king I’d like to think back when Gerudo males were born they were presented the choice of becoming a king when they came of age. If they accept they rule as king & if they don’t a chief runs things.

In my dumb AU Ganon doesn’t wish to be king as he wants to travel the lands discovering the world around him. I made his design to be more casual than the ornate Gerudo attire. Homie is in his twenties & obviously cares for his home’s customs but his ambitions give him the ‘I’m in the pilot’s chair of my life’ vibe.

What if Magnus died before the sea of monsters happened. Magnus could have been the older cousin. And annabeth could have gone with Frederick to Boston in the year after the lightning thief. The beginning of the sword of summer happens but annabeth is a lot younger. Which would happen in January of that year because Magnus’s birthday (Magnus is 16 annabeth is 13). Annabeth doesn’t see Magnus in the same place as the original because she would be alone in the casket room. So she thinks that Magnus is dead and owns a mansion. But technically it’s frederick’s because she is thirteen so Frederick and mrs. chase and there kids move in with annabeth. At some point before the sea of monsters Magnus (with Alex)sneaks in to the mansion and finds annabeth she is home alone for some reason. And is very surprised to see Magnus. she hugs him and asks how is he here and then notices Alex and asks she ( Alex is a boy like in original). Alex corrects annabeth. Magnus says it’s a long story but annabeth says she has time cutting Magnus off in the process.

Magnus:you wouldn’t believe me-

Annabeth:try me

Alex:Gods are real

Annabeth:well yeah I know that

Magnus:you do?

Annabeth starts heading towards the fourth floor and is rethinking her plans for the future wall she walks. On the fourth floor Alex Annabeth and Magnus fight a wolf and in the battle Alex shapeshifts. Annabeth sees this.

Annabeth:you’re a shapeshifter

The conversation kind of ends there and Alex and Magnus start to look at the drinking horn that they wolf was after. They find the journal and the three of them go to the balcony to read it. They are aren’t in a rush because they came to the mansion a few weeks earlier than in the original. Annabeth can’t make out any of the words. But they read the last bit about the meed but none of them know anything about it. The Norse cow joke comes up and annabeth realizes that Alex likes Magnus but she doesn’t say anything. Alex says she needs to see Sam to do shapeshifting training. So see heads out and leaves annabeth and Magnus.

Magnus:so you knew about the gods

Annabeth:yeah I’m a halfblood

Magnus:ha same

Annabeth:who’s your father?

Magnus:Frey, your’s?

Annabeth:Athena, but I haven’t heard any of the gods you’ve mentioned

Magnus:I have not heard of Athena or Hermes are you sure they’re Norse

Annabeth:Norse, no they’re Greek

Magnus:the greek ones are real too?

Annabeth:yeah, you’re saying the Norse gods are real?

Annabeth has a puzzled expression while she re-rethinks her plans for the future. Magnus is silent for this. Eventually they see Frederick and the other chases came back from whatever they were doing. Annabeth rushes away Magnus and tells him to meet her tomorrow at noon at the bridge where Magnus died.

Nine of my OC’s! I had a lot of fun drawing them all and enjoyed playing around with their designs. 

Very basic character info: 

Tate: my dnd tabaxi rogue gardener who has nearly died to several gelatinous cubes, and has adopted many children—including a talking borzoi named Anthony who is a dog-war veteran who loves cupcakes. Tate has been married twice, and can be described as a middle aged Goblincore clown dad with too many kids. His grandfather is also a chicken named Albert! 

Socks: another dnd tabaxi rogue, because that’s all I can play. She’s tates older sister who grew up on a ship at sea after she left the tabaxi kingdom because, well, why not? She’s my asexual sapphic pirate who has committed multiple war crimes and currently has her own tiny “kingdom” (a town) all consisting of sentient, life-sized ants. Don’t ask… 

Faenala: one of my dragons from the now deactivated game School Of Dragons, based off of the httyd universe where you play a side character who spends their time collecting items and eggs, following the occasional dramatic storyline. I made stories about the characters i made in the game. So Faenala is a Silver Fury who grew up on a small island called Valhallas Hollow, which is inhabited by a shitton of terrible terrors. She’s very sneaky, and grew up around these terrible terrors who she would hunt for and protect. 

NightCanvas: I made his design in a random nightlight dragon batch I was drawing towards the end of July, and liked how he turned out so much that he’s turned into one of my OC’s! He and his sister Pearl tend to travel from seastack to seastack in search of a place to call home. He’s very protective, playful, and has a tendency to dive head first into danger. 

Oscar: is one of the OC’s I’ve drawn the most lately! He’s part of my continued Nightlight Family AU for httyd, and is Toothless’s grandson. He was seperated from his dad, Pouncer, at a young age and has spent most of his time trying to teach himself to live on his own. He’s terrified of everything,  is very skittish and sweet. 

Miks: I’ve been a huge fan of the ps4/5 game Stray since it came out a year ago, and recently decided to make my own StraySona character! I’ve created what his side quest, dialogue, and minor interactions would be like! 

Kallias: She’s one of the main characters in a novel I’ve been writing, which sounds absolutely batshit and weird if I try to explain it. In summary, she’s a genderqueer sapphic whos obsessed with Cryptids.She’s in love with her friend, Daisy. Kallias works at an arcade and has a problem of waking up in different short horror stories every night, only to wake up covered in blood. As you can guess, this makes a relationship difficult. 

CreatureFall: one of my dark forest warrior cat OC’s from clangen, he’s in a bunch of stories that take place after they’ve gone to the DarkForest. He’s the definition of a himbo, and spends his time giving out therapy sessions to the murderers of cat hell.

FennelBones: born in cat hell, he’s a very charismatic disaster who is constantly trying to make friends with the wrong people, which lands him in a lot of trouble. He’s the son of my favourite warriors oc, FleaThistle, and his cottagecore husband FadingStar (who belongs to @liberhoe)

hii!! both fairly new to your blog and the ac fandom in general! i just finished valhalla (going to replay soon) now im doubling back and playing odyssey. i've been thinking about a time travel au maybe where reader accidentally ends up there or vise vera. i wanted to write it myself but i dont think i'd do it justice since i dont really know the characters just yet sighh

Go for it, honestly. You can always begin the fic, and then redirect its trajectory later on if you're worried/unhappy that it doesn't reflect a character's development. Or you could concentrate it within a particular point in the game's canon. But really, don't put pressure on yourself to achieve a perfect characterisation. Just enjoy the creative process and write the fic that you'd want to read :)

Im actually just a silly person that didn’t like the ending of their hyperfixation so i said “mm no pass me the pencil”

Haven’t been able to draw much but i do have some loose ideas and info

I find interesting that without the last time travel in canon absolutely EVERYTHING would’ve have gone downhill, like normally in the past time travels takemichi did there was always a good change, something good that happened, like kazutora’s survival in Valhalla vs Toman, that even if the future ended up worse, that change was still something valuable.

In Kanto vs Toman this gets completely erased, there’s literally no way out of a bad ending, three people died with absolutely no recompense, because the future staying exactly the same as bonten TL, Mikey being far away from everyone, but with three more dead people.

Takemichi dies and all turn into this in the matter of a week

That’s kind of what dragged me to think about this, am i being redundant??? Also i felt the necessity of exploring more Mikey’s mental health through the manga, which was heavenly implied and tried to give it a little of closure, which was something that i really wanted.

Now, there IS in fact a last time travel in this AU, but unlike canon, they don’t go back to the beginning beginning. Mikey travels back to this exact moment

I think that the time capsule moment was a very nice point to travel to, idk how to write a coherent paragraph so lemme just do it like this:

- Characters who’s death ate important to other characters development remain dead (shinichiro, baji, emma, izana) THAT ALTHOUGH IT HURTS ME SO MUCH, i didn’t like that everyone suddenly revived

- here is when Mikey starts to get actual fucking help LMAO, like while they were burying the time capsule, Mikey already knew what he was end of being, he literally planned a twelve-year-long su!cide at that moment. So i think that for the final TL to get a happy (as much as it can) ending is taking that plan back and actually start a healing journey with everything that has happened am i overthinking too much?

- ANYWAY, imma be fully transparent, i don’t know when exactly Mikey travels back, I know that he’s the time traveler because of michi giving him the power before dying, and Kazutora is the trigger. But idk if make him travel back the day Kazutora gets released from jail or before (still gonna keep him some good years behind bars tho)

NOW I CAN START WITH SILLY STUFF

- Theres a stray cat that lives in the prison called Arepa, all the prisoners know her

- Kazutora is REALLY well behaved in prison, and he has some privileges bc if that of course, Mikey thinks that’s a lie and that he actually sucked off some guard to have said benefits

-on the other side, Mikey is completely unstable, one day he can be rotting inside his sell not giving a fuck about anyone, and the other he can be fighting to death with another inmate

-he has been in solitary confinement more than once

- Kazutora receives letters from chifuyu every now and then, Mikey received a lot from Sanzu and even one from koko but he never answered, he wants to be forgotten just like in Bonten TL

-Chifuyu testified in Mikey’s trial, he also visited him once, that conversation is very well daydreamed in my head kakdjsksjjs

- There’s a good amount of mental health talk in this AU bc of course that Mikey and Kazutora in the same room was a great idea of me, so if you’re sensitive to that be careful 💙

-right now I’m drawing a little comic about Sanzu and Senju but i just have the sketch for now forgive my sins, and there’s actually a lot of panels and convos i have already like completely finished in my head, like when Mikey travels back? That’s COMPLETELY planned already jajdjsjsj im just slow

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  Medieval AU edition ✨️ Inspiration came when I attended the medieval fair in Kaltenberg back in late July '22 (didn't have the chance to go last year), and the first group of knights passed by a while before the parade, and the need for HCs like this just deepened once the knight tournament had something heavy playing as OST during the show.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  The main base of the House of Eustass, his group also known the Dark Knights (as they call themselves) or the Barbarians (as they are called amongst commoners and nobility alike), is a sturdy stronghold built atop a mountain with sharp jagged rocks and steep crags. Black colours with purple and red accents hoisted on the highest poles of the old castle they've conquered keep most other factions far away beyond the foot of the mountain it sits upon - their reputation and the 'highly inviting' decoration along the road leading up to the keep entirely aside. Most people cower in fear if Kid and his group do make their way downhill to restock their supplies. Some days, they just raid and rob unknowing merchants travelling too close to their turf, on other days, they actually purchase the goods they require.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  Their House's signature colours being red, purple, and black, they do have a couple of members who do not necessarily wear all of those colours and/or not all the time. Among them would be one of the women, the doctor, who tends to wear lighter and preferably pink tones. Their coat of arms is a set of golden gears on blood red and vibrant purple.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  They do tend to play loud music, regardless if it's only a casual feast at a banquet, a tournament, or when they're going to war. There's bagpipes, drums, strings, and other instruments. What's more, when they're out on the sea to raid some far-away countries and villages, they tend to bust out in chants. They enjoy emerging from the foggy void of darkness of pitch-black nights, merely with two or three lit torches at most, their voices joined in a chorus of low and bone-chilling songs, relatively akin to how Vikings may have done it. It's one of the reasons why they have such a horrible reputation and are rather feared (one of the examples for this "Valhalla Calling" group). On other occasions, where they're out on an open field or the vast seas late at night, ready for their attack, they also might ask the 'maidens' to go siren mode before the rest of the group will join with the bass line.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  Next to the doctor already mentioned above, we'd have - among others - the "mage with no chill" (to quote Nyxy, when I asked them), responsible for spell-based sniper attacks, who's beloved by the Dark Knights' large black hounds and a flamingo-loving Lord of the Southlands alike. Then there's the artificer and craftsman who suffers from a curse cast upon them before their birth (having turned into a maritime human). The group also has a tailor who was taken hostage during a war against another country, but their rulers never even tried to retrieve them. Their chef used to be a slave, but was freed somewhere along the way and was supposed to be executed if they had not intervened. Mosh, their blacksmith, crafting all the armours and weapons alongside Eun's help. Wire is their silent (van)guard captain, albeit not very talkative - alas, his tactical signs have served the Dark Knights well on every occasion. The group's vice leader, Kid's advisor and right-hand, is a master assassin highly skilled with scythes. Surprisingly, their best torturer is a young maiden who'd been recruited from another lord after their defeat.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  Their shacks are filled with mostly black or dark brown horses, as well as some mixed ones. They're all rather massive and sturdy, perfect for long travels and on the battlefield. Unlike other riders' companions, these animals don't scare away from the noises of combat and have been through lots of things with their respective keepers. Funnily enough, barely any of them are "normally" bred ones: they were caught wild and got tamed and trained by the Dark Knights.

🌹ꦽꦼ̷  They all have their respective "domains" in the castle. Some are warded with a special spell or password, such as Nyx' lab and observatory, Solace' herb gardens, Kid's workshop, Osiris' torture dungeon, or Light's kitchen. They did 'set' some people who were allowed to enter their own little realms, but most of the others have to stay out due to multiple past incidents.

For anyone else, he would not have been in the mood for that kind of bubbliness. But this was his Maria, and he could do nothing but indulge her.

           “What is it, darling?” He asked when she was close enough to hear him speaking softly.

           “I got you something.” She pulled to a stop right in front of him. That was when he noticed that she had one hand behind her back, as if to conceal something.

           His eyebrow raised at her. “And why have you done that? I do not need anything.”

           She giggled. “Because tomorrow’s your birthday, of course! I was going to wait, but I want to see what you think of it.” She pulled her arm from behind her, revealing a thin box wrapped in green paper. There was a gold bow on the top that took up most of the box.

           He took it from her, frowning at it. “It is not my birthday tomorrow.”

           “Yea, yea, different year lengths. But it’s the day that whoever made that calendar picked as yours since it was when that year corresponded with ours, so…” she waved a hand, dismissing the conversation. “Nevermind that. Just open it! I think you’ll like it.”

           His frown deepened. Stark had made that infernal calendar two years ago, and even though he celebrated his birthday according to an Asgardian year, Stark had refused to change the date every year.

           “If it’s different every year, no one would remember it,” he had said. “Just go with it.”

           But that had been Loki’s entire point. He didn’t want people to remember it, especially on some random day of their year. But that didn’t seem to matter to them.

           It didn’t seem to matter to Maria, either, but then… very much seemed to bother her at all.

           It was such a stark contrast to her former self – the version of her that she was the first time they had met. Back then, she had been one of the Vanir. They had grown up together, and over the hundreds of years that they had spent together, they had fallen in love. She had been so serious back then – always trying to prove herself as the strong soldier, trying to keep up with Hogan and the others in their training. But there was a side of her that was lighthearted, loving, considerate, humorous... She had gotten into mischief right along with him. It had been a side of her that she seemed to keep in reserve, just for him. No one else had made him feel as special as she had.

           But then, she had gotten into a battle that had been impossible for her to win. No one should have let her go along with the warriors, but she made the argument that she could handle herself, and she had been allowed to join. Half of the warriors that went into that battle hadn’t come home, and she had been among those to travel to Valhalla. Her absence had been a void that he didn’t think would ever be filled.

           Until he met Maria, that is. He had a gift for reading souls, but he had a feeling that he would have known hers anywhere. She was so much more of her happier self in this life that there was almost no room for the serious warrior she had been before, but there was no mistaking what he could see in her soul. This was his soulmate, the one he had separated from long ago, reborn here on Midgard after all this time. And now that he had her back, he was determined to make sure he would never lose her again, and that she would want for nothing.

           “Well, thank you. I am sure I will.” He said, forcing himself back to the present. He still didn’t know why she insisted on getting him things, but at least it was something small.

           He carefully started toying with the paper at the edges to release the tape, not wanting to rip it to shreds. Maria was bouncing on her heels in anticipation, which he found rather odd. He hadn’t thought one could be so excited about watching someone unwrap paper. He thought back to the way that she had bounced on the balls of her feet, anticipating the start of one of their many pranks against Thor, and suddenly it seemed so fitting he couldn’t help but smile a little.

           As he slid the paper off, he could see the box underneath was wooden, and had the runes that spelled his name carved into them. He ran his fingers over them, feeling the smooth edges that must have been carved by a professional hand.

           “This is very well crafted.”

           “Well the box is only a part of the present, but it is a nice touch.” She was still bouncing on her heels as she spoke. “Are you going to open it?”

           His eyebrow quirked upwards. “Excited, are we?”

           She shrugged. “I just hope you like it.”

           He obliged, taking off the lid from the box. Inside was a dagger with a beautiful blade beveled on both sides. The handle was wrapped in green leather cord, and the guard and pommel were inlaid with gold. His name was designed into the blade, once again in runes. He wasn’t even sure how it was done. He ran his fingers along the blade, but there was no indentation from it being carved in.

           “It’s acid etched,” she explained. “They dip the blade in acid but keep something on those parts so they don’t change color.”

           “Ah, I see.” He marveled over it, seeing all of the little details in the gold inlay, the perfection of the leather wrap, and the wavy patterns from the metal being forged together.

           “Well… Do you like it?” He looked up to see Maria staring intently at him, studying his face.

           He gave her a small smile. “It’s beautiful, Maria. Too beautiful to use. But I shall carry it with me.”

           “But I wanted it to keep you safe!” There was worry in her expression that he did not like seeing there. “I can always get more daggers, I can’t get another you.”

               The phrase brought him back to a lifetime ago. The first time they had met, she had said something so eerily similar when she gifted him the dagger that he kept for ceremonial purposes.

           “Smiths can always make more daggers! I cannot replace you, my love. Please use it to keep yourself safe.”

           He had argued with her then, making sure to keep it polished and at the ready for special occasions. She would always take time to make sure it was sharp to her satisfaction, though, just in case. He had tried to tell her that she need not worry – he had other daggers that he could use in a fight if he needed to. But she was adamant that he would need it one day.

This time around, he chose not to argue the point. He smiled at her lightly. “Alright, then I will use it. Thank you, my dear.” He made a mental note, though, to keep it with the other one – the one that was locked in his rooms here, that he had made sure to keep sharpened and polished in the time they had been apart.

           Her smile was back immediately. “Yay! You really like it?”

           “I do.”

           She ran forward and threw her arms around his neck. He embraced her with one arm, lifting her slightly from the force at which she had run forward. “Yay! I’m so glad.”

           He chuckled, placing her softly back on her feet. He kept a hand on his shoulder as he pulled away, He stared into those deep, brown eyes and marveled at the love that he could see there.

           Maybe one day, he would get around to telling her that they had met before. But for now, he would enjoy the simplicity of this feeling, of this love, as long as he could.

i was always worried with time travel!aus because it either confuses me too much or it is dragged and the character forgets about their real life fhjaskdjkas but the way tokyo rev did it, im like WOAH! I AM ALL IN. i'll be honest, i didnt read the manga hdjsakhdjak i got lazy and just looked up the characters HAHAHA and went through their profiles and wikipedia everything asdfghjkl i am just watching the anime T_T I WANTED THE DRAKEN SWEATER and then i saw a jacket for the valhalla group and UGH wanted it so much dhjaskdhjak but it was SO expensive T_T

i doubt i’ll ever fully write it, but sometimes i entertain a little AU in my head where sigurd and randvi did have a child sometime in norway. and maybe sigurd isn’t even there for the latter half of the pregnancy or the birth - it’s eivor who makes sure randvi rests and eats enough, it’s eivor who has indents in her arm from randvi’s fingernails on the day she gives birth, it’s eivor who tries and fails to hide the tears in her eyes when she first holds the baby. 

sigurd is gone for 2 years after that, and aunt eivor becomes this child’s second parent in everything but name. she holds him for hours when randvi needs to rest, soothes him, bathes him, and when he’s a little older, softens food for him to eat. randvi could not be more grateful, and falls a little more in love with eivor each day. when baby starts to learn to talk, he babbles the words he learned for mother at eivor, too, and she and randvi laugh it off, but it pulls at eivor’s heart in a way she cannot voice.

one day, randvi watches eivor spinning him around in the air as he laughs and laughs and thinks, my family, before she can stop it.

baby, now with a mop of ruddy blond hair, is running around and speaking sentences before he even meets his father. and eivor is torn; she wants him to know his father, she wants sigurd to raise him. but she knows that she will have to step down, now, and she mourns, because somewhere close to her heart, she knows she loves this child as her own.

then they move to england, and randvi teaches him to read, to do arithmetic, tells him of the norse and saxon beliefs, and of all the landmarks and cities and kings in england and norway. quickly, sigurd is gone again - and it’s eivor who is teaching him to strike with a wooden axe, it’s eivor who is helping him through the reading material randvi makes for him, it’s eivor who is telling him bedtime stories of her travels in these lands, it’s eivor who is taking him on walks near ravensthorpe and teaching him which plants he can eat and which ones he can’t. 

slowly eivor allows longer stretches of time between her alliance trips, and she is more and more careful, when she is away - she wants to be able to come home to them; to her family, she thinks before she can stop it. in the valhalla simulation, when eivor imagines her everything else, it is the loudest thought on her mind.

as he reaches 7 or 8, it starts to become clear that he has randvi’s focus and intellect, and he shows all his feelings right on his face, just like eivor. it makes randvi chuckle, to see him frown just like eivor, to hear him parrot her common turns of speech. his gentleness and tenderheartedness remind eivor and randvi of another young boy they once knew.

the divorce is without much fanfare; the boy’s life is hardly different afterwards. sigurd is friendly enough, if a little stilted, towards him. he takes him on day trips from time to time, but does want to not raise him, and they all understand he never will. eivor sees the heaviness sigurd carries in his shoulders for it, and she takes him aside one day and says, though you did not know it, you have led me to the greatest gifts i have ever been given in this life. you need not feel guilt. and sigurd accepts what he has long suspected.

eivor thinks for a long time about what to say to randvi; how could she say in words what would take a lifetime to show? she finally settles on something to-the-point but from-the-heart: something randvi would appreciate. words quickly seem to matter little, as it turns out; randvi turns around right after the confession leaves eivor’s lips and nearly knocks her over in her haste to kiss her. eivor pulls her close afterwards, and they take a moment for themselves - standing beside the brook, under the shade of the trees, a ways off from gunnar and brigid’s wedding festivities - to hold each other. eivor has not felt such peace in years.

when randvi calls him “our son��� a few weeks later, casually and without much thought, eivor tears up like the first time she held him.

34 + 91? 😬

34: Time travel/reincarnation au / 91: Interrupted Intimacy

You. You know about my torchwood phase. You know about my star trek phase. You must I know you do because this is practically my brand I am being cALLED TF OUT-

It goes like this;

The first time - the first first time, Ian is a warrior with a deeply Irish and completely unpronounceable name, and Mickey (with an even more unpronounceable variation of his name that Ian only remembers because it was his first name) meet long before the birth of Christ, crossing axes on a battlefield. Mickey wears furs and runes are tattooed on him by his brethren, and Ian is rough and scraggly and when the fight ends in a truce he grabs him and kisses him.

And it's like-

It's -

He can remember the burning, all these years later. Can remember the feeling when their lips first touched. Can remember wanting to keep this wild man forever.

Forever wasn't really a concept back then, but when one of them would sail off to fight a war or a battle, the other would follow. Their allegiances had been abandoned in favor of eachother.

Shield brothers, they were called.

Mickey died first, that time, and Ian had grieved for endless weeks, screaming his grief to the heavens and demanding that one of gods or one of Mickey's give him back his heart.

He dies later, filled with relief.

His final wish is that Odin (who he doesn't even believe in, that time around) allows him to be with Mickey in Valhalla.

Maybe Odin listened.

Maybe their gift was their afterlife.

The memories usually come back after the first kiss, but a select few times they happened before they even met.

Ian still remembers the life where he was some low level duke who thought he was better than everyone, and ordered the strange man who called him his heart to be executed.

Mickey still remembers it too; Ian will never live it down. Whenever that particular memory comes up, Mickey will sit pretty and pout and demand a thousand kisses to the place where the axe struck his head from his shoulders in recompose.

If Mickey had to pick a favorite life, he'd probably blush and admit to it being the one where they were french immigrants, where they went west and settled together on a little farm in Minnesota. Sure Mickey had died of malaria, and Ian of dysentery, but they'd built a little cabin together and grown a successful enough farm that they'd been fairly well off. People had asked them when they planned to marry, tried to pair them up with their daughters, but they'd died as bachelor's and roommates, only a few years apart.

If Ian had to pick a favorite, he would grin leacherously and say it would probably be the roaring twenties, when they were both frequenters of the same speakeasy and Mickey had worn flapper dresses and preached to anyone who would listen about gender roles and non conformity. The sex had been good, the booze and drugs had been better, and while Ian had died in a shootout, it was one of the few lives where Mickey had lived to be an old grey queen, still ranting and planting seeds about trans rights before the movement even formally existed.

Not all their lives were happy- Mickey had the unfortunate pleasure of being born to Jewish parents in the 40s, and Ian had managed to be killed in both world wars. Mickey's life in the fifties had been mostly good with him working as a communist spy, but Ian had been a sickly little thing those years, and they had barely met before he died.

The AIDS crisis had been hard- sure, they could finally love openly, could finally fight to be together, but they died cold and sick, with no help to be coming.

Things were better in the 90s. It was probably one of the best parts of their gift; things always had the chance to get better.

This has probably been their most successful life so far, in terms of their relationship.

Their memories came back at the same moment for once. It was a few nights after they ended up together in Beckham, and Mickey had shot upright out of a dead sleep so fast that he cracked his head on the concrete slab of Ian's bunk and cursed so loudly that the guards came to check that they weren't murdering eachother.

Ian had woken up in the commotion with ahead full of lives, and it had taken everything in him to stay still and not murder the guards so that he could properly reunite with his man.

Finally Mickey convinced them that he didn't need the infirmary, he's sorry for causing a ruckus, won't happen again, and they leave.

Silence.

And then;

"I knew that dress looked good on you," Ian said in perfect Gaelic.

"fuck off," Mickey responded in french, laughing or maybe crying below him. "Will you ever let the twenties go, my love?"

Ian clambered out of bed so fast he nearly fell and broke his arm. All he cared about was getting Mickey in his lap, holding him, kissing his beloved face and comparing it to all the other faces he has swimming in his mind.

Mickey let him, sobbing into his chest. This has been his most painful life by far and all Ian wants to do is go back and take away the things that hurt him.

But if time has taught him one thing, it's that you can't undo the past.

They apologize for their transgressions anyway, crying and kissing until early morning.

Mickey demands Ian leave prison, leave the sanctuary of their cell, and go prepare the outside world for them. They'd started secreting away money in hidden accounts in the 1600s, when they realized their gift was not going away. They so rarely got the chance to use it, between illnesses and lack of time, so Ian was admittedly excited to actually give Mickey a good life this time around, especially after everything that had happened so far.

But still ...

"I want to be where you are, Mick!" He demands, horrified by the idea of leaving him again. He's still so appalled with his past self for hurting Mickey, how could he have not realized Mickey was the best thing that had ever happened to him?

"I'll get out soon," Mickey soothes, and yeah, he has a few lifetimes full of escape plans, he means it.

Sure enough, they reunite before Ian even has a chance to visit, and sure, they have to deal with Ian's siblings and corrupt POs and Terry extra super has to die now that Mickey remembers how much he hates Nazis, but they still manage to have one of their best lives yet after prison.

Once their parole is up, they rent a car and start driving around the states, visiting their apartment in New York where they lived during the 20s and the farmstead from the 1800s which had been turned into a historical exhibit. They visit the place where they'd met during the gold rush and the ranch in Texas where Mickey had been paralyzed by that cow and Ian had cared for him before they even remembered their story.

They fly across the ocean and visit France and Italy and Russia and Ukraine, and Mickey wears gorgeous dresses and gets some new tattoos and Ian gets a line of Ms down his spine, for each one Mickey has been.

They end their tour in England. Ian gives Mickey his usual thousand apology kisses for having him executed, and they visit the field where they first met.

They argue playfully over where they first made love, then make love in both places anyway.

Ian leaves an offering for Odin (who he still doesn't believe in), thanking him for letting him have this, and also maybe an entreat for more, just in case.

A few more lives, and they are born on different planets.

They still find eachother.)

Isu-era time travel

Oh man. Just drive that knife in even harder by making Desmond's 'soul' get stuck in the body of what is meant to be Juno and Aita's 'artificial child' because they can't have one due to maybe something in their genes or their bodies so they made their own child using Isu Tech instead. What was meant to be a failure is now a success because Desmond has full control of the body and Juno and Aita sees him as their son.

A misguided boy who has a soft spot for these humans, sure, but they love him enough to try and 'reeducate' him.

The drama with Juno would be fun but Desmond's own drama of being biologically related to the Isu who pretty much wanted him dead and now treats him like he's a miracle and a precious boy that just needs some guidance? I can already taste the angst between the both of them and I am all for it.

The Yggdrasil 'project' that made Isus be transferred into the bloodlines of humans as Sages? Uuuhhh...

Okay, here's the thing. I had this idea of Adha being a past incarnation of Desmond and that they're all incarnations of an Isu (kinda like a Sage) with the caveat that they will always die on the year they turn 25. So you know... that could work in that setup (although I haven't tried to find anyone else who dies at the age of 25 in other AC games, Elise was close but she died at 26) (sidenote: yes, the idea is meant to be altdes, the main point was to make Altaïr suffer by seeing Desmond die every time they get reincarnated)

We could also just, you know, chuck his consciousness in an Apple kinda like Consus with the Shroud. Maybe Altaïr's Apple so he can connect with Altaïr and later with Ezio?

It would be funny if his consciousness was in one of the other Isu Temples (kinda similar to Juno in the Grand Temple) like maybe Solomon's Temple in AC1? Just imagine him seeing Altaïr and appearing before him as his holographic self going "Hey, Altaïr, Altaïr! I need to tell you things so listen to me before you fuck shit up!" and everyone just went "Holy shit. Altaïr is getting a Holy Visitation! Chosen one! Chosen one!" and Altaïr is just glaring at Desmond because what the fuck and Desmond just awkwardly smiles at him because oops? In his defense, he's been alone in this damn temple for centuries.

An Isu body before 21st century

Honestly, the Isus seem to like doing shit by threes. Before Minerva, Juno and Tinia, there was Yaldabaoth, Samael and Saklas who created the humans sooo, you know, pre-Capitoline Triad era is free game as long as they're by threes imho

Dad!Bayek is absolutely a must if the plot is set in Origin hahaha and the Isu temples would definitely give Desmond more options on what to do next

Oh man. Can you just imagine if we combined both ideas from the Isu-setting and the Valhalla-setting, when Eivor 'dreams' of their past life as Odin, they'll see Desmond looking the same as he is (the same Desmond they assume was maybe a Jotun or a half-Jotun and is now tending the 'bar' in Ravensthorpe) and THEIR MIND CHANGES DESMOND TO Víðarr Odinsson, the half-Jotun son of Odin! Sure, there's some lore contradiction because Minerva's 'Valhalla' name is Gunnlöð and not Gríðr who is Víðarr's mother but we can spin that into a lore that got fucked up during the years between the Isu time and Valhalla time.

ngl, the Nephilim bit came to be because of the tentacle demon au fic since that one talks about Cambions a lot, I remembered Nephilim. I think djinns would be for those who are not religious but believes in folklore and mythology. I know Desmond is seen as some kind of healer role most of the time in fics but, personally, I think he's more of a survivalist than a healer. After he stops freaking out, he'll probably think "alright, I have no idea what to do and I don't remember everything Shaun put in the database soooo... uuhhh... Apple. I need an Apple of Eden. That'll probably help!" (it would be funny if his wish to acquire an Apple of Eden inadvertently sounded like another attempt for a holy war and like "what???? nnoooooo! war bad! sttooopp! altaïr, haaallpppp" and Altaïr is just "why me???")

As long as Ezio hears about Desmond's name from Minerva, I think Desmond would have the best time in his time period. Ezio would definitely take care of him, although depending on when in Ezio's time it is, it might be less 'we are brothers, Desmond' and more of 'i offer myself to you, oh divine one'

ngl, the sugar daddy haytham plot is the main reason why the AC3 idea was like that. XD

Have you ever considered - Desmond survives and gets to be(mentally) transported in time to some Isu temple. Except the eye doesn't have human genome templates, only Isu (thanks, Juno). New body is made wholly based on the Isu part of Desmond's genome. How hard would it be for Desmond to hide in plain sight, being at least a head taller than anyone around him?

Oh god. I read this and the brain immediately went "HEY LISTEN" so have this longass answer hahaha. Off the top of my head, I can think of three main ideas that incorporate this plot.

1 Desmond gets traveled back in time in an Isu body during the rise of the Isu civilization (or maybe even before the time 'everyone is scrambling to try not die from the sun, the prequel')

In this setup, I think Desmond's main problem would be trying to pretend that he's an actual Isu so that the other Isus won't think he's some kind of experiment gone rogue. He'll also be alone without any allies (Desmond would even be suspicious of Minerva because of how she acted in the Grand Temple and he only heard Tinia once so he doesn't know who Tinia is as a person). In this kind of plot, I think it would be fun for Desmond to be in the following scenarios:

Desmond accidentally helps Eve revolt and help the humans (... what if he was Adam??? Nah, it won't work. For one, Adam is a human and this plot gives Desmond an Isu body). Oh, oh, oh. What if Desmond (as an Isu) is the one to give Eve the Apple of Eden and this gets translated as him as the snake/devil giving Eve the apple hahahaha

Have some kind of tense alliance with Aletheia in her time as the Dikastes of Atlantis (maybe his body is one of Juno and Aita's secret pet projects)

Get in the middle of a war between the Asgardian Isus and the other Isus. Just imagine him awkwardly trying not to listen to Minerva and Odin having sex when all he wanted to do was check if there's any Isu bs that can help him in this supposed vault or whatever, why are they even having sex here, come on! Then Odin catches sight of him when he's trying to find the mead, maybe Desmond grabs the mead before he does because it's glowing hella gold in his Eagle Vision and Desmond sees shiny and thinks 'shiny? important? shiny!' and now Odin is chasing him all over the nine realms while Desmond just wants to find a way back to his goddamn time

2 Desmond gets traveled back in time in an Isu body before the 21st century

Alright, this spans all the (main) games' non-modern day plot but here's some of the key points I can think of:

In general, religious people might see him as either a god or a divine being sent by god (since Isu tend to wear glowing outfits). His height might even count him as a nephilim instead as they're usually described as giants with great power. This would get him in trouble or might get him out of trouble if he can, you know, pretend to act godly and stuff (it's Desmond though so my bet is awkward 'fear not for thou, uh, hast, uuuhhh...'). The idea that he's god would most definitely be the case for the three mcs of the Layla Trilogy and maybe even Ezio (but, let's be honest, Ezio is a special case).

Honestly, I think he has the best chance of hiding and figuring shit out with Bayek because Bayek would see him and go 'oh, he's in trouble. as a medjay and a good person, I will help him.' while the misthios (Kassandra or Alexios) would be like "A god! Or a demi-god! Must be one of Zeus' children, poor boy. Come! Join my crew and let's fuck shit up!" and Eivor would be more of "You must be a Jotun... Our clan is open to all! Even a Jotun like you. How do you feel about burning churches?"

Kicking him to the time of the Third Crusades will be hilarious. On one hand, the Templars definitely want him because holy shit (and I can just imagine Maria actually pledging to be his knight because she absolutely believes that Desmond is a divine being, if not her god then one of his divine messengers), the Assassins want him because also holy shit (and it would be funny if one of those who truly believe Desmond is some kind of god is Abbas, just the awkwardness and blatant hostility turning to confusion and mild annoyance in the same vein of 'please stop talking, abbas' 'of course, my lord' will be priceless) and the people who are left being 'sus, absolutely sus' are probably going to be Altaïr (who is an atheist in canon) and Malik (who saw the power of the POE in canon and went 'yeah, sounds like tech we don't understand yet') so they have this awkward possibly powerful being trying to hide behind the two of them because Desmond saw them not looking at him with any reverence and went 'yes, these two. These two will protect me while I have my silent freakout' but that only makes everyone believe that Altaïr and Malik have been chosen by 'god' and now Malik, being the more 'cordial' of the two (and the last time Altaïr spoke for them, he sounded so arrogant and full of himself (this is set before the start of AC1) that they could see the metaphorical pitchforks getting ready) have to speak for Desmond because it's clear that Desmond has no idea what to do and is freaking out but pretending not to be. This, in turn, makes Malik the unofficial spokesperson (prophet) of Desmond while Altaïr gets called his knight when all he's trying to do is keep Desmond from running away and building a fucking grape farm of all things (Desmond wasn't serious, he was rambling, but Altaïr didn't know that). Kadar (hell yeah, he lives) gets roped in as well and he actually believes all this Desmond-is-god crap so now Desmond has a very enthusiastic 'butler/acolyte' on top of everything.

Renaissance period depends on when Desmond gets kicked out of his timeline. If he gets kicked out before Ezio heard Minerva's message, Ezio would probably look at him with suspicion and maybe even be a bit hostile with him considering he's still hurting and wishing for revenge. If it was after Minerva's message (Brotherhood), Ezio would definitely help him, maybe try to learn from him, and may even think of him as an actual divine being because of his religious background which makes Desmond feel awkward and creates some kind of wall between the two of them. Desmond just wants to help Ezio and be treated normally (or as equals) but Ezio can't help but see Desmond as some kind of god or angel that has been sent to help them in exchange for his loyalty and servitude. (Insert angst here with bonus points for religious themes and imagery that will send my soul deeper to hell) Revelations-timeline Ezio already has enough and wants out. He would see Desmond as someone in a similar position as him and they'll have a peaceful life tending a countryside farm with Sofia and their children because THESE TWO DESERVE PEACE.

I think Haytham and the other characters during Rogue would look at Desmond and think 'holy shit, Isu' and try to capture him. Both Templars and Assassins want to capture him because he's some stranger who may or may not be an Isu and that means knowledge and power that the other organization should not have. The Templars would definitely send Shay (if this is after Lisbon) while the Assassins would send Liam or maybe Adéwalé or Kesegowaase. Desmond is sus of both of them because Templars are Templars in his eyes and he saw how Hope's Assassins are pretty much governing the criminal underworld of New York which is pretty bad, all things considered, so he's iffy about going to the Assassins. So who does he turn to? Ziio. Ziio with baby Ratonhnhaké:ton and fuck whatever is happening to him and what this means in the timeline, he's gonna hide in Ziio's village forever and be Ratonhnhaké:ton's favorite uncle. You don't have to hide in plain sight if you're staying in a village that thinks you're some kind of spirit or something and that's cool. So while the Assassins and Templars are scrambling to find him, he's just chilling and babysitting for Ziio. By the time they find him in Ziio's village, Ratonhnhaké:ton is old enough to think Desmond is his dad (but he's BFF with Ziio, not in a romantic relationship) so Haytham has to deal with a bad breakup, a son he didn't even know existed and a powerful being who may or may not have adopted his son.

Desmond would have a stressful time in the Carribeans, dodging pirates and everybody else. And he can't find any Assassins for some reason so he tries to take a breather by chilling on some uninhabited island. Cue Captain Edward Kenway who was just there because it was on some weird old map he found and he sees his big dude and thought "sure, let's make him part of our crew" while Desmond agrees because he has a hidden blade so he might be an Assassin (he's not) and his name is Kenway so he might be Ratonhnhaké:ton's grandpa (he is) and Desmond needs a break. Chilling with pirates sounds like fun (it's not)

I think Desmond would spend most of his time during the French Revolution trying to find a way to America because that's where Ratonhnhaké:ton is and he believes Ratonhnhaké:ton will believe him (at the very least, won't turn him away anyway) but he'll get roped into this because something inside him is telling him there's someone in Paris that is bad juju. His Isu body is reacting to Aita's Sage and it's giving him some kind of annoying headache. Before he knows what's happening, he's secretly helping an Assassin who reminds him of Ezio and forms some kind of alliance with him. He has no knowledge of the French Revolution other than the Liam Neeson movie (not the musical because, according to wiki, that released on Dec 25 2012 in the US and our boy is already dead by then) so good luck?

Victorian England, on the other hand, would have Desmond barging in on the train that the Frye twins commandeered because 'it's a train... if you wanted to be inconspicuous, you'd pick the sewers, not a train'. His height would leave him... well, pretty much benched unless it's nighttime and he stays on the roofs so he gets to help Greenie with research (and miss Shaun) and maybe awkward shuffle away when Evie and Henry start having a moment. He does help out during nighttime missions AND BECOMES ONE OF CHARLES DICKIN'S GHOST CLUB MISSION because people saw him and think 'holy shit, ghost!' and now Evie and Jacob have to pretend not to know that the ghost Charles Dickins wants them to find/debunk is actually some chill dude who likes going out at night to stretch his legs. (Jacob brings Desmond the dog to the train and introduces him to Desmond, Desmond is not amused, Jacob thinks it's the best joke he's made in a while, Desmond the dog thinks Desmond the Isu gives the best belly rubs)

3 Desmond gets traveled back in time in an Isu body during the 21st century (or farther than that)

For this one, I can think of two main plotlines

This one is connected to my previous idea of Elijah overriding Juno's new body and transferring Desmond's data into it. Cue awkward father-son bonding between the two as they try to escape Juno's lackeys with Charlotte and the other Assassins and Desmond is awkward around them because he doesn't know anyone (he's been isolated to the other Assassins since he got his own 'cell') and Elijah doesn't trust anyone at all. Their main problem now is trying to contact any of the other Assassins to help them escape while trying to escape from both Juno's lackeys and Abstergo who has now heard of Desmond's 'resurrection'.

This other plotline is kinda meh but you can throw Desmond farther into the future and have him get a more stable Abstergo-created Isu body during the timeline of Watch_Dog Legion. While the developers insist that Darcy (who is a descendant of the Fryes) isn't canon, fuck canon, have Desmond deal with the horrors of a dystopian future where his height will be a fucking red flag. He's stuck in London, allies himself with Darcy and Dedsec in a 'you scratch my back, i scratch yours' setup where he helps them out and they help him try and contact an Assassin he actually knows (like maybe Shaun or Rebecca).

In both of these plotlines, Desmond can easily blend in by using one thing: wheelchairs. While he's overall larger than normal humans, wheelchairs will make that less 'visible'... heightwise anyway

....... I just realize that I made plots instead of answering how Desmond could hide while using an Isu body... ooops?

Long time no see Tumblr. I am working towards ending my Super Long Hiatus not because life has slowed down but because I am tired of being on hiatus. That means Monthly writing updates to keep me on track. I'm also posting what I've read this month for the interested. Said updates are below the cut.

WRITING UPDATE

Hybrid Theory

Percy dies in battle.  A very tragic death that wasn’t at all lame, thank you. Unfortunately, the gods aren’t done with him yet. Instead of waking up in Charon’s waiting room as he should, Percy wakes up in the courtyard of Hotel Valhalla.  Thinking things can’t possibly get worse he runs to Carter Kane for help. In hindsight, that probably wasn’t the best idea he’d ever had.

I’ve not made a lot of progress here since I’ve gone on hiatus... I’ve not been in a good headspace to try to work on it tbh. That being said, I’m drafted to Chapter 27 and outlined to Chapter 30.

Assassinations, Building Nations, and International Relations

The war has been over for a year and the tenuous peace has held. Everyone has gone home and while Team Avatar misses each other, life has been going great. Until Aang gets a mysterious note from Zuko. A midnight trip to the Sun Warriors has much further reaching consequences than anyone could anticipate. But the first, and biggest, item on the agenda is to keep the Fire Lord alive.

This one is suffering from Writers Block TM. I know where I am and where I want to go and I have NO IDEA how to do the between part. That being said I’m drafted to Chapter 13 and outlined to Chapter 14.

White Lotus Buds (Working Title)

Music night washes over Iroh. The crew’s attention  on each other means no one notices  their allegedly ill prince slipping over the side of the Wani and onto the dock. 

Zuko, as The Blue Spirit, is leaving to meet another White Lotus Bud agent to exchange information on the Earth Armies for similar details on Fire Nation troops. 

The White Lotus Buds are more successful than Iroh expected. Sometimes he thinks the war would end in days if they left the operatives in charge. 

The White Lotus Buds were inspired by Zuko himself. It wasn't difficult to connect The Blue Spirit’s earlier escapades with Zuko. Not once one realized there were connections to make.

Iroh does not know when the sneaking began, though he has his suspicions. Ten year old princes don’t go missing for days on end easily. And there's the  ambiguity surrounding  Azulon’s death and Ursa’s sudden flight. When it started doesn’t truly matter when Zuko will not speak of it.

 Iroh lets himself be drawn into the singing of an old sea shanty. It helps keep an old man awake, which he will need if he wants to be alert for his nephew’s return later that night.

This is a White Lotus!Zuko AU and a Blue Spirit AU and a Zuko joins the Gaang early AU. With lots of Zutara and lots of identity shenanigan's. 

I have drafted the first 14 chapters for Book 1. I have outlined the first 22 chapters and have notes for every episode of Book 1. This one won’t post until Book 1 is done because I keep having to rewrite parts of chapters as I go. 

When the Dark Comes Rising: Gathering

With another Rising in its infancy the remaining five must gather. As a safeguard the Light left certain defensive measures in place. It us up to Will, Bran and Jane to assemble those defenses. In the process they must discover the loving bonds that will be the foundation for the Circle to come.

This is also not dead. I think about this often. I have drafted to Chapter 12 and outlined to Chapter 14.

What games the AOT girls + Hange would play.

this isn’t a request but I just like making hcs for these characters, I love them. reblogs are okay, and requests are open !

Annie Leonhardt: for me, I personally believe Annie would like little competitive puzzle games. She likes to be analytical and likes patterns. Games like Tricky Towers and Tetris 99 are great examples. Sometimes she will ask you to play with her. Sometimes you guys invite other friends to play and that’s when the fun begins.

Mikasa Ackerman: Any games that are extremely story based, are this girl’s favorite. Mikasa will always favor playing a good campaign rather than online games solely because she gets lost in them easily. for example ! Games like AC: Valhalla and Persona would suit her tastes well. When she’s done, she will always talk to you about them ! It makes a really interesting conversation.

Sasha Braus: FPS games 100%. She loves first-person shooters so much. Every weekend, she will play COD with Connie and just be up for hours before she rages and decides to head off to bed where you are waiting for her. Sasha is actually incredibly skilled in them as well ! She would be considered a really good player since her hearing and aim is incredible.

Historia Reiss: She gives me major stardew valley and animal crossing vibes. Like she enjoys games that have her managing something. Hisu is always happy to show off her island and villagers to you, always inviting you to her island. Loves it when you give her ideas for decorating it.

Ymir: Ymir doesn’t really play games as often as the others but if you ask then she will always be willing ! She often chooses group games though ! So games like Uno, Monopoly! She enjoys the rage that comes from those games, especially from her friends. Seeing Connie get mad because he has to draw 4 is absolutely hilarious.

Hitch Dreyse: Doesn’t find games appealing, she will gladly watch you play games though ! Expect to be bothered hella while you do ! Kisses and just hands resting on you, sometimes they travel as well-

Pieck Finger: Has a fascination with survival games. She enjoys the challenges and just finds them oddly calming in a way. She will always invite you to play them with her since she likes it whenever you guys build bases together. She’s really good at them however there have been times where she had fallen asleep and you’ve had to fend for yourself against enemies.

Yelena: Yelena likes horror games ! She enjoys the thrill of them and even finds it funny whenever you’re scared and cling to her! phasmophobia was an absolute mess when she played with you, pieck and zeke. Probably one of her most fondest memories.

Hange Zoë: MMORPGs ! Skyrim Online and just RPG games that let you make your own journey are on their favorites ! Hange loves fantasy aspects and absolutely enjoys grinding in games as well. No task is too grand or small for them. They always talk to you about different tactics they wanna try with you, often coaxing you into playing with them ! You both stay up really late helping each other!
