Oh yeah! I have a similar hc that Wild only remembers the names of smaller animals as long as he can physically pick them up! This is why when he first sees something as common as a frog, it still has “???” over it until he picks it up. For something larger, like a deer, he’ll only remember what it’s called if someone mentions it (like in your head canon) or he takes a picture of it and finds it in the compendium.

massive fan of 'watch and learn' Wild. hes eaten a whole bird (feathers and all) because he saw a fox do it. he catches fish like a grizzly bear. he fights like the monsters. he can read most animal body language and almost perfectly mimic wolf howls fox barks deer yips etc. he probably goes uphill on all fours. the first part of his journey was when he had the most to learn and he only had the wilds to learn it from and hylia it means so much to me

I swear I genuinely meant for this to be a quick sketch, nothing fancy, I put it in my Garbage Sketchbook and everything, but I just couldn't help myself 😩 It's Wolf Siblings!! And Twilight taking care of Wild!! There's no way I could resist such a wonderful prompt

I have begun to doodle poses. I am attempting to determine which style I prefer to draw Wild in (wanna do at least one animatic later) but it is hard to tell. Probably the second one (searching pose) tbh

Also, first one has Wild using the sheikah slate as an AAC device and yall can pry that headcanon from my cold dead hands
