The Dance of the Dragons is over.

King Aegon II Targaryen sits upon the Iron Throne and the ashes of his older half-sister, Rhaenyra Targaryen, are scattered to the wind. To cement the end to the conflict between the Greens and the Blacks, Aegon temporarily names his nephew, Aegon the Younger, as heir to the Iron Throne and marries the boy’s older half-sister, Valaena Velaryon. He is aware of the cruel twist of fate that he should be so very like the father he despised. Married for a second time with only a beloved daughter remaining from his first marriage. The question is if he shall become like the bitter man that raised him, broken and twisted in body and mind, or rise above the shackles of neglect that brought about the very war that destroyed his family.

Valaena Velaryon is tried of war. As the only daughter and the oldest of her mother’s remaining children, Valaena knows what remains of the Blacks look to her for guidance. But all she wants is for her brothers to be free from the burden of the damned Iron Throne that has cost their family so much. To do so, she agrees to her uncle’s proposal of marriage—knowing full well that she is following in her mother’s footsteps—and becomes his queen—knowing he does not love her and never will. However, despite the enemies she makes upon her marriage, Valaena holds true to her conviction and hopes to one day free her brothers from the shackles of the Iron Throne.

The stage is set and a dance of another kind begins. All wars must end, but unless things are changed, history is doomed to repeat and the House of the Dragon might well and truly end.

So now they’re doing Aegon’s Conquest from what I hear.

I would just love to see who they cast.

Because if they cast white actors for Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys, they’re going to have to explain why they’re not mixed seeing as how their mother is Valaena Velaryon, and they had the “ingenious” idea to make the show Velaryons black.

Then again, King Jaehaerys was portrayed by a white actor at the beginning of HotD, even though his mother was the dowager Queen Alyssa Velaryon (and therefore presumably black). This proves that the showrunners haven’t actually read the book and know nothing pre- and post-Dance (or they just don’t give a damn).

Life lesson: if you’re going to crap on actual canon just for the sake of pushing political agendas on screen, you’re going to come to a point where you’re going to say “Uhhh…I really did not think this through.”

Can u write more about Maegor Targaryen???

Reader is his second wife, he married her because is ceryse and reader fell pregnant after the wedding. Proving that Ceryse was barren not Maegor so Aenys accept the marriage. Reader and Maegor love each other and Visenya see her as a daughter, Aenys queen don’t like reader. Reader don’t care, the only queen she care about is Visenya.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hi! I'm so happy to see so many requests honestly, I didn't expect much but I have a lot of writing to do this week, and I don't have my phone so I'm writing from my laptop, but anyways I hope everyone's doing well!

Maegor Targaryen had always been in love with Valaena Velaryon his mother's ward, a true beauty, in Maegor's words everything a woman should be, kind, calm, soft, beautiful, and elegant, he had watched her grow up, always being there for her whenever she needed him.

After many miserable years of being forced to marry Ceryse, Visenya had began to specutale that she wasn't capable of having children, and willing to test her theory as her ward Valaena had grown older more suitors came willing to ask for the had of the queen's ward, and the present queen's sister.

Visenya had turned them all down not yet ready to let of her ward, who she had grown to love as her own, a beauty of Valyria who reminded her of her mother in every aspect. After telling her suspicions to Maegor he had been more than happy to take her on dragons back to Kings Landing to plead his case out of respect for his brother.

Seated before Aenys with his mother at his right and future wife to his left he pleaded his case with his brother who took his time to overthink if it was the right thing to do, his wife being the biggest burden in their situation, jealous of her sister's capability to earn the favor of the once queen Visenya Targaryen and her son.

When Aenys finally agreed believing it would be a fair match and would strengthen the line, Maegor took her back to Dragonstone and married her in the traditions of his house, devoting himself to her and only her for the rest of his life, Ceryse being left forever forgotten.

After several days and nights of fucking and making love to one another, the lady Valaena had been pronounced with child to no one's surprise, making the queen Alysa infuriating and overflowing with jealousy for her husband's praises towards her little sister, and Valaena could truly care less about her sister's jealousy being far too happy with her husband and newborn son who she adored.

Many moons later little Maelor Targaryen was born being the first of many children of his parents to come, a beautiful boy the perfect prince, with silver bright hair and one eye lilac from his father and his other sea blue from his mother, his being his father's heir and successor, soon being known in history as the third Targaryen King to rule Westeros alongside his sister wife.

can you rank all the targaryen-velaryon marriages from most to least favorite?

Alyn/Baela - Yes, I’m putting the “stormy marriage” in first place. I find their relationship very compelling, especially the way they equally sass each other. They had a marriage of convenience but despite that, they do actually work well together (especially when it comes to politics). GRRM plays around with literary symbolism and so these two being sea & moon coded and then having a very push-and-pull dynamic, like the movement of the tides, is very fitting.

Daenaera/Aegon - They’re a political match but their opposing natures provide a good balance to each other. As of F&B, we see them primarily as companions/friends and not so much a romance, but just based off the dynamic we have so far, their marriage seems set up to be a positive one in F&B2.

Corlys/Rhaenys - They’re the only love marriage out of the bunch. Definitely the type to finish each other’s sentences. I always get a very codependent vibe from them, so even if there’s discord in their marriage, these two would clearly find solace in each other, and always present a united front.

Laena/Daemon - These two have complementary fiery personalities so their marriage did give them a much needed sense of adventure & excitement they would clearly enjoy. At the same time, they showed that they're capable of tempering themselves to have that domestic life together too.

Alyssa/Aenys - I know I’ve said before that Aenys’ actions negatively impacted Alyssa, but that was more about his political incompetence. As far as Westerosi husbands go, Aenys is genuinely one of the better ones (“Prince Aenys was a gentle and attentive husband, warm-natured, generous, and never unfaithful.”). He and Alyssa had a very loving relationship by all accounts. Also, Aenys >>>>>> Rogar.

Laenor/Rhaenyra - Their marriage is in name only. They are not particularly close, but they did have an amicable enough relationship with each other.

Valaena/Aerion - Of course this one is in last place because we don’t have any specifics on what their relationship was even like.
