In the spirit of Mother’s Day, I wanted to list the mothers of some of my OCs and their relationships with them.

Ivy the Serperior

Ivy’s mother is another serperior named Sarah, also called Sally by Ivy. Sarah was a community leader of the pokemon who lived in a secluded forest, far from humans. She helped organize events and parties for the pokemon, like cleaning up after a storm or harvesting food for the autumn season. Sarah was often called the queen of the forest for the respect she garnered and her caring disposition. She was also a loving mother, raising Ivy with a gentle hand and teaching her to be helpful and kind. The two are close, with Ivy raising her own daughter by imitating Sarah.

Jones the Dandelion Jelly Cookie

Dandelion Jelly’s mother was a cookie by the name of Dandelion Honey Cookie She helps run the merchant business that spans across her large family, so she was initially disappointed in her daughter for wanting to leave the business behind. They had a strained relationship for a while, but eventually reconciled. Dandelion Honey wanted her daughter to work for the business because she believed that it would offer a stable career and income for her. But once she realized that her daughter’s monster hunting made her much happier, and paid adequately, she let go and allowed her daughter to live happily. 

Lotus the Star Warrior

Being a puffball, Lotus didn’t have a biological mother per say, as she was created out of celestial energy and emotions (just my HC). However, Lotus did have a mother figure in her mentor Mari (or Marigold). She was a kind teacher, training Lotus about the duties of the star warriors and how to fight using magic, but was always tired and overworked. Mari eventually retired once Lotus was of age and became her successor, now living on a remote planet. Lotus sometimes visits Mari, either to reminisce over a cup of tea or to just hang out by gardening together. 

Taylor the Eggsecutive VP

Taylor’s mother is an Inkling financial analyst called Creek. Although she was a doting mother, she had constantly put most of the chores onto Taylor from a young age like buying groceries and cleaning the house, essentially treating her like a mini housekeeper. Because of this Taylor didn’t develop any hobbies and had no real goals outside of school and taking care of her family. Although Taylor realizes that it wasn’t the best parenting, she holds no ill will towards her mother since she knows Creek didn’t know any better and had tried her best. 

Victoria the Lass

Victoria’s mother is by far the worst, always arguing with her father and being generally negligent. The only time she would interact with Victoria would be to berate her if she got in trouble in school or got bad grades, so Victoria developed a general resentment for her. Because of this, Victoria had run away to live with her maternal aunt Sanna. 

Sanna is a much better mother figure and understands that her sister was inadequate, but she herself is also busy and isn’t able to look after Victoria full time. In her stead, Banette takes care of Victoria and keeps her company, sometimes cooking for her too.

heavily inspired by @krusified but I literally can’t stop thinking about cate and victoria as vampires.

Victoria heavilyyyy. Especially since her powers with blood it is perfect tbh.

You would meet her one day in New York on the street, and of course you freak out cause oh my god isn’t this woman running for VP?? She is immediately entranced by you. Your innocence, your mortality, everything. Something about you was so alluring to her, she had to get to know you. So she does.

Eventually when she does reveal to you that she is a vampire and it is pretty much her power as a Supe, she is surprised when you aren’t scared. If anything, you are curious. You had to admit that after months of talking to this woman you had developed a crush on her. It was hard not to.

Instead, you ask her to taste your blood. She’s taken aback, but completely turned on by your submission. She smirks, sinking her fangs into your neck like a hot knife to butter. It was the most electric sensation you’ve ever felt. Like your whole body was lit on fire.

You eventually confessed your attraction, and she felt the same. It was kind of crazy to have a vampire girlfriend running for vice president but here you were.

Once in a while she’d ask to feed on you, preferably your thighs or your neck. It was pretty much the hottest thing in the world when she would ask, desperation in her eyes looking at you like she wanted to eat you alive. Of course you would comply. who wouldn’t?

You were in for a long ride with her. And you wouldn’t have it any other way.

TALIA

Talia (age 24 (~16 in splat1), pronouns he/her) is from Calamari County! Her family consists of her mother, her older sister Moselle (28, a firefighter) that she looks up to a lot, and her younger sister Ren (18). He originally moved to Inkopolis to make a living as a pro battler, which he did for a few years with his roommate turned girlfriend Peri, maining both Dynamos depending on the kits given. Then Grizzco opened for business, and it turned out that they paid pretty well all things considered, and that they were both *really* good at it. (They also thought it was fun for the most part) Since they were consistently hitting the upper ranks of Profreshional, when Grizzco expanded to the Splatlands the pair were invited to relocate as Eggsecutive VPs to help support the branch and to help train up some new recruits. That's how Victoria (Eggs) and Fiorello (Safety) ended up joining them :] Speaking of nicknames, Talia has the worst name memory in the world and has a lot of trouble remembering the names of people and occasionally objects, so he gives them a nickname she remembers a lot better. (Peri is a nickname! But sometimes Talia falls back on pet names until he remembers either her nickname or actual name) He is very worried that he comes across as rude for it (or anything in general) so tries to be as friendly as possible. He was the one that gave Safety the life preserver gear as a gift! Talia is a huge fan of Big Man (finds that he relates to him the most) and did cry when he lost the leader splatfest :( Also cried when he was homesick and tried to get her favorite dish, clam mochi, at a Splatlands restaurant which turned out as you would expect. His favorite splatband is Sashimori. Talia is friends with my Agent 3, but does not know the truth about Grizzco.

TAMI

An inkling born to ordinary parents who worked at Gone Fission power plant. However, a salmonid big run happened in the area, and because Grizzco didn't yet exist, it had to be abandoned, and Tami's parents were killed. Tami herself, who was also there, was badly injured and lost her right arm, was found by some salmonids, but because she was a young inkling the salmonids didn't know what she was and so instead of killing her took her home. She then spent almost her entire life growing up with the salmonids, and became a very skilled fighter, but also starting a band with a couple other salmonids. They make music that's like horrible to listen to and will overestimate you. Once she was 14, she joined the war on salmonids on the side of the salmonids. Over time Grizzco expands and poses a larger and larger threat to the salmonids, so Tami decides that she's going to go try and put a stop to it, because she's the only one who could make it to inkling civilation without being killed, although that doesn't change the fact she didn't know the language, culture, or anything. After spending several nights on the streets of splatsville, Tami is found by Tide, an octoling who's been living there for some time. Tide takes Tami under their wing, despite them knowing nothing about each other. Over the next few months Tide teachers Tami inkling language, has Tami participate in battles (where she fuckin rocks at it bc she's been literally trained for war), all while Tami searches for more info on Grizzco, but unfortunately nobody knows shit about it. Finally she happens across Cuttlefish and eventually falls into Alterna, where she has no idea what's going on until eventually wow Mr. Grizz is there. She fucking kills him and then just kinda leaves without really joining the squidbeak splatoon she just wanted to kill Mr grizz. Anyways then she and Tide probably go back to salmonid or something I haven't really figure this out. Sorry for the text wall

talia is one of my oldest splat ocs (both in creation age [july 2016] and character age at 24) and honestly not much has changed about his design since i made her! the main difference is literally just some fun new piercings and a lgbt pass

talia is 5’10” and the middle child in his family! he has one older sister (taller still, a firefighter named moselle) and one younger sister (ren, new ranked battler) and they all come from calamari county where they were primarily raised by their mother :]

he moved to inkopolis at 15 to get into turf + to try to meet the squid sisters since they’re from the same area! there, he met peri, and they became roommates for about a year before they started dating

talia is highly money motivated mostly because she wants to make sure ren and her mother especially can live an easy life. she also wants to do something good with her life like moselle, who she looks up to as a hero.

sooo after a couple of years turfing with peri (an e-liter main) and working part time at the crust bucket, grizzco opened and the two decided to check it out!

turns out they’re very good at it + get paid very well as a result so that quickly becomes their priority and are very consistently ranked at profreshional

talia believes he’s doing something good to help out both mr. grizz and inkadia so he’s happy

after a while, grizzco’s splatlands branch opened and the two were forcibly relocated invited to move to the splatlands to help out with egg retrieval and training, and subsequently hit eggsecutive vp with victoria and fiorello in their now complete quad

talia knows jacinthe (my agent 3) but at the moment he does not know anything about the true nature of grizzco.

talia is a very trusting person and will typically take whats in front of him at face value. as mentioned before, she’s very tall and is pretty loud/high energy, so can be unintentionally overbearing when meeting new people. he also has the worst name memory ever so will typically nickname everyone he meets to something he can easily remember (peri is a nickname! jury’s out if he remembers her actual name) such as eggs for victoria and safety for fiorello. however, talia is very afraid of being perceived as a rude person, so tries very hard to be seen as the opposite, typically with gifts. can be unexpectedly emotional—cried over clam mochi being different when homesick, whenever big man loses, etc

her favorite idol in the splatlands is big man because she feels like she relates the best to him (and often feels sorry for him). his favorite splatbands are diss pair and front roe, but feels no connection to squid squad.

splatfest wise, he will consider his favorite idol’s alignment first before his own preferences. ex. he’s terrified of ghosts but likely will be on big man’s team for splatoween

in my imagination, his tentacles are box braids in human form :]

Decentralized Medicine | Jack Kruse | Assembly 2023 - push the video back to the start….for some reason if does not start at the beginning - Dr. Kruse drops a bombshell and RFK Jr. knows all of this.
