We capitalize Black in this house, and this is absolutely going to show my age but you asked, and I wouldn't say favourite for most, because I don't know that I have a strong attachment to every show but did like them, and you'll probably notice, most of the time they just have to be Black and on a show for me to like them so here we go:

LOL this is so funny to me because the VA is BLACK. And Goliath always read to me as Black, and Elisa Maza...anyway lol. It always struck me as deranged that whenever the gargoyles in general, but ESPECIALLY Goliath AND Demona turned human, all of them were always white. Just didn't make any sense even as a kid, and I blame racism. This is probably the only time I'll go up for non-human characters coded as Black and no I won't be arguing about this.

Nighttime. The soft glow of the planetoid’s three moons illuminated her face. This face, her current mask. Airi leaned on the windowsill and let the wind play with her hair. 

The black vastness of the ocean felt oddly comforting. It had the same sound as the one back home. Or so she’d been told, she’d never been “home”, but then why did the ocean make her feel so nostalgic? Why did it make her long for a home she never knew? 

The night was cold but it didn’t bother her. For one thing, because her body had been enhanced to withstand much worse conditions than the faint sea breeze that would have made her shiver before, in some other time, some other body; for another, because she’d found him. And in finding him, she’d found herself. Nothing could vex her.

The room she’d found at The Nevermore wasn’t exactly what she would have liked. But it was fine, it would do, and the AI hotel hadn’t really asked a lot of questions. If she had the credits, she was welcome as a guest and her privacy and her business would be protected.

Airi tore her eyes from the window and stared at the reclining figure on the bed. The man was sleeping soundly.

‘Give him time to reboot.’ That was what the dealer that had helped her find a sleeve for his stack had told her.

I will find you. In every world, every universe, every timeline. Nothing will keep me away from you. A thousand years could turn into eons and I would not forget your name, your face, your heart, your love.

She recited the vows they’d made to each other. Airi intended to keep her promise. Would he recognize her? She was sure he would, but she still prayed he did.

‘We’ve been through so much,’ she whispered to him. ‘Lived entire lifetimes. And we still have many more to live.’ 

They have changed, evolved. Transhuman. More than human. 

After every modification, every enhancement, she wondered if there was still any original part of her left. It didn’t matter. As long as there was even a single atom that could call itself hers, it would know him, it would pull her to him. Equal parts love and quantum entanglement.

Airi walked to the other end of the room, to the window that looked toward the city. The neon lights called to her but at present, she had something more important to do.

She sat on the bed, slowly, carefully, and she caressed his face, she couldn’t help it. Metal, metal. Metal on metal and still so soft. The tingling in her fingers told her he must be about to wake up.

What a nice little trick, she thought. This sleeve, her current body, had a neat improvement: her fingertips could detect magnetic fields, maybe even manipulate them. Airi had heard about this particular upgrade, one of the first ones that the transhumanists had accomplished. It was said that a century ago, it would have been considered akin to magic; now, it was one of the most basic modifications anyone could have. It came in handy to tamper with all sorts of machines.

Airi caressed his face again, enjoying the sensation in her fingers. She curled a strand of his long dark hair around her index finger. Long hair would suit him so well, she’d found him a good sleeve.

She leaned closer to him, her lips not an inch away from his. As if this was a fairytale, and he was the slumbering prince.

but, whenever i do these i try my best to pick fics from across different fandoms. so here we go, in no specific order!

- Small Price to Pay (Takeshi Kovacs x F!Reader)- I've really enjoyed everything that I've written for Altered Carbon, I just love the characters and the world. But this fic in particular I really liked getting into the descriptions of what Reader was feeling and going through, how it all manifested in their relationship with Tak. They're both such a mess and I love them

- Pretty Boy (Juice Oritz x OC Dakota Lowman)- You know meeeee i love any excuse to write Juice and i love all my OCs like they're my children and best friends. But this one really has a special place in my heart since it was the debut for these two. Plus i just really love the vibe of their dynamic in this, and the fact that we get to see Di in this too.

- Last Resort (John Wick x GN!Reader)- This was my first John Wick fic and it was so much fun to write!! Idk I just loved the testy dynamic between the two of them. I loved the begrudging respect between them and the history that's there that neither of them really take the time to get into much at all. I love how he knows that they'll have his back even if they don't make it easy on him. It also taught me how much fun it is to write fics that take place in their whole world.

- No Good Time For This (Sydney Adamu x Richie Jerimovich)- You already knooooow that SydRichie was gonna make it on here!! I just love them. I love their potential and the back and forth between them. I love that their similarities just as much as their differences are what make things so chaotic between them sometimes. And while I usually love some good antagonism between them, I did really enjoy the two of them being able to lean on each other in this fic. I like that it was the two of them vs. Carmy rather than them versing each other. Thinking about them always, as you know 😂

- Round-Trip Ticket (Steve Murphy x OC Cassandra Oliviera)- I still remember when I sat down to write this fic. I remember how easily I got swept up in everything about these two. I wrote this fic for a smut challenge but it ended up being almost 8k of story that yeah, had some smut in it, but really everything about their dynamic and journey together was what really had me going hard in the docs. Their story spans over such a long stint of time and they both go through so much, together and apart, and I just absolutely love them. I still be thinking about them sometimes 🥰

i do not drink and know very little about alcohol but i do have an answer for this one for vex at least. screaming orgasm. because she is obnoxious and also i saw a youtube video about "aggressively horny cocktails" and couldn't/didn't stop myself. it's either that or like, a whiskey sour. or something radioactively purple. again i know very little about drinking. i do eventually want to figure out drinks for the other two. someday.

12. Does your V have any special mementos/tattoos/etc.?

i can actually give an answer for all three here so i'm gonna. who's gonna stop me? two of them are tattoos and the other is an item. kinda.

so for vex, she is covered in tattoos but not a lot of them have like...bigger meanings. two that do are on her left upper arm. she's got the "don't bite the hand that feeds" on her inner arm, which used to kind of mark her as an "employee" of the guy she worked for and acted like a tracker and when she stopped being a joytoy she got the don't crossed out and the tracker de-activated (mentioned this on the vex facts i posted the other day) but also on this arm, above her inner elbow she has 2072, which is the year she met jackie. so both those tattoos go hand in hand i guess, since they both kinda lead back to when he saved and changed her life.

vesper's tattoo has less to do with her story in cyberpunk and more to do with who she was when i originally created the character. vesper was originally an altered carbon oc that i made back in 2018, and when the game came out, she just fit so unbelievably well (like from being a merc down to hallucinating the guy she loves through some questionable tech in her head kinda well). in her altered carbon verse, she has a v tattooed behind the left ear of every one of her sleeves. in the game i put it on the back of her neck because otherwise it gets hidden by her hair, but it's my nice little reminder to myself.

now vera's isn't a tattoo. it's a recording. i liked to headcanon that the bakkers record comms when they have teams out on jobs or drives. and vera's mom, who died when she was around 6-8 years old, died out on a drive, and because the comms were on and she knew they were being recorded, used it as a way to say goodbye to her daughter, even though it cuts out before she manages to finish. vera snuck into wherever they kept the recordings and pulled this one off before she left the clan. it's one of very few things other than her clothes that she actually took with her. only other thing is a bracelet that she's had her whole life (might have been her mom's or her dad's) that she wears on her right wrist that she will later give to saul.

VERSES UNDER THE READMORE.

IN MY OWN SKIN. ( BACKSTORY. NON PLAYABLE. )

John was an envoy, a human known for their uncanny ability to adapt instantly to any sleeve they're given. They forgot almost everything from their time as a rebel, but have recollections of their childhood and some of his teenage years.

John had no interest in the war, but society made it so that he had no choice but to fight. He joined Quell and her rebellion when he was 17 and fought and lost alongside most envoys. The day stronghold was obliterated; they were just barely outside the range of the virus. Just enough that some of their data was corrupted, and he forgot most of his time under Quell.

This verse is for backstory purpose only, and will not be roleplayed. Only the following verses (in their sleeves) will be roleplayed.

SLEEVE ONE. (BACKSTORY + 3RD VERSE. )

The awakening in his new sleeve was not pleasant. His stack now belonged to an AI company that'd paid a little fortune to get their hands on a couple of soon-to-be-destroyed Envoy stacks. The purpose? Studying the Envoy's uncanny ability to adapt to different sleeves in hopes of one day, controlling human 'intelligence' in the same way they do artificial intelligence.

John didn't stay long in that sleeve but long enough to be used and tortured both in virtual and real life. The new government eventually figured out what the company was doing, and they 'put an end' to it when the public outcry became too great. However, the protectorate being what it is, they collected all the studies, sleeves, and stacks in the company's possessions for their own malicious gains.

I will not use icons in this verse as I still need to determine a good faceclaim. All RPS in there are also bound to be in a prison-like setting, as John was in captivity.

SLEEVE TWO & THREE. ( 2ND VERSE. )

His awakening in sleeve two was far less intense than the first, and he instantly adapted to his new body. Unfortunately, his stay in that body was also cut short as his ownership passed to another tech company that wanted to enhance his abilities as an envoy. While not locked in a prison for experiments like in sleeve one, he was still heavily monitored.

One wrong move and he'd be disabled, at least, that's what they were told.

One day, he got caught in the crossfire of a crime, and his sleeve got damaged, and his stack almost fragged. They resleeved him instantly, but he was found by another Protectorate mercenary group looking for the remaining envoys, hoping to destroy them.

I do not use icons in this verse either, as I've not found a suitable faceclaim. For rps in sleeve two, he works as a henchman for the company that monitors him. They do odd jobs, and they're constantly monitored, GPS under the skin and everything else. He is not outright aggressive but has trouble with authority figures and being told what to do.

As for the 3rd sleeve, it is when he finally breaks free and 'disappears' He's on the run, he has destroyed his trackers, and he knows he has to resleeve, so they are starting their mercenary career and raking in credits to pay for his future, and hopefully last sleeve.

FINAL SLEEVE. ( MAIN VERSE. )

This is his current verse. He is a mercenary for hire, and his track has all but disappeared for 150 years. He was kept on ice in Semetaire's black market for reselling at the highest bidder. Finally, someone bought his stack and implanted him in his final sleeve.

Unfortunately for the buyer, John had no intention of becoming someone's property again. It took him some time, but they eventually real death'd their new owner and disappeared any trace of his existence.

He now lives a rather violent, aggressive life as a mercenary for hire, waiting for the day someone will either kill him or he gets the courage to end it himself.

Fair warning: He is not a nice guy. He is not outright villainous, but he has no motivation to live, no fear of death, and certainly no moral compass to stop him from maiming and killing if need be.

RULES: very low activity/chill space. sienna's an original character i've written for years, primarily within the fallout universe, but this is a rendition of her modernized verse. all other verses are available upon request. expect mature + adult themes/triggering content. i also write sienna through the lens of an antagonist— you're not meant to like her! you can get a better idea of her characterization/what to expect here!

BIOGRAPHY: sienna aquino / she+they / 26-50 / bisexual, heavy preference to women / genomics technician / located in california. ‎‎‎ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ//////////// raised in the hearty embrace of purecliff, a small tightly-knit community in northern arizona, sienna's childhood was a tapestry of idyllic memories. this serenity was shattered at age 8 when a crime syndicate, masquerading as a legitimate business, infiltrated the town with the opening of a shopping mall. the town, once a picturesque symbol of suburban tranquility, began to morph under the syndicate's influence, echoing the urban sprawl of downtown phoenix. the syndicate's arrival marked the beginning of a harrowing era. men of the town, including sienna's father, started to disappear mysteriously— leaving behind a community of women & children to face an uncertain future. the shadow of this menacing gang loomed over purecliff for years, until a fateful intervention by the national guard. this liberation, though well-intentioned by the us government, came at a great cost of civilian lives— including the life of sienna's mother. in the aftermath, 14-year-old sienna found herself navigating the complexities of the foster care system. with the streets as her refuge more often than her foster homes, she gravitated towards gang activities & the ability to provide a life for herself. by 18, her life was punctuated by multiple arrests, shifting from juvenile detention to facing prison time for attempted assault. however, due to a combination of government rehabilitation initiatives and a lawsuit filed by the state of arizona on behalf of purecliff's survivors, sienna's path took a transformative turn. her sentence was reduced in exchange for her commitment to pursue higher education & engage in community service. released at age 20, she embarked on a new journey at ucla. upon earning her master's degree in science at age 26 with a focus on genetics and genomes, sienna became a genomics technician at the parker lab in caltech. despite her remarkable turnaround, her past cast a long, inescapable shadow. as sienna's career flourished, a troubling pattern emerged: an unsettling number of geneticists in california began to vanish. while sienna had seemingly reinvented her life, whispers and suspicions arose, questioning the true extent of her transformation.
