Vidders4ACause is a fundraising event within the vidding community. We will be hosting a vidder's auction where all proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that helps raise money for cancer. You will be given the chance to bid on vidders and the largest bids will get a video from their fave editors. Some vidders are also offering other products like vidlets, colorings, ypivs and more for bidders who are interested. What each vidder has to offer is shown on their profiles.

I thought I might as well do promo for this here on tumblr. This is an event for editors (amv editors) to help do something good for our world.

It's basically that editors/vidders showcase themselves and people can bid on them. The one who bid the most will transfer the money to a charity of THEIR choosing. So in the end, the vidders get nothing, it just helps to solve some world problems. The highest bidder gets a dedication video by the vidder they bid on, requested by them. If you didn't bid the highest amount of money, you don't have to pay, but you surely can, since it's for a good thing and shit :3

I mean I doubt anyone would bid on me, but you never know right :D

And the money goes to any charity of your choosing - you’ll be completely responsible for donating the money, so you’ll know exactly where it goes.

Hey, so, I don't know how many of you are interested or know this about me, but I am an editor of fanvideos, right? Well...

Right now there's an auction going on called Vidders4ACause, where you can bid on a video request from me or your favorite editor and donate the money to charity (I donate mine to Random Acts every auction, but it can be whatever charity you choose) if you have the highest bid at the end of the auction.

It's explained better here and in the link above, but if you have some spare summer change and are interested in fanvideos and charity events, head on over!

(Right now, the bid for me is at $3! Last year, it got all the way up to $10, which doesn't sound like much until you remember that there are almost 600 members taking part in this auction and those $10 bids add up FAST!)
