Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary Programming Mixes Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus & Tamagotchi Connection V3
She’s a hybrid. The programming on the Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary is unlike anything we’ve seen yet. It’s a mix between two Tamagotchi’s, one from Japan, the other from North America.
The Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus was released in Japan back in November, 2004 as the successor to the Kaettekita! Tamagotchi Plus which was released back in March, 2004. The Keitai introduced key features including the shop, Gotchi Points, and more. The Keitai has brought a few features to the Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary.
First, the salesman from the Ketai will now be featured on the 20th anniversary, second, the shop where you can spend those Gotchi Points.The third, the Gotchi Point game for connecting, fourth the ability to donate to the Tamagotchi King! Fifth, Ichigotchi and Ringotchi are featured on the 20th Anniversary device which come directly from the Keitai. There’s also some minor similarities such as the Gotchi Points being listed on the same screen as the training meter.
The Tamagotchi Connection V3 was originally released back in February 2006, and it brought new features include TamaTown connectivity, passwords, and an impressive character lineup. The V3 has a huge influence on the Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary too!
First passwords were brought over from the Tamagotchi, which were used to transmit items from TamaTown, but now we’ll be discovering these passwords and entering them in. Second, souvenirs have come over from the V3, which will allow you to save select items from your travels. Third, the new Mametchi pixel sprite from the V3 is present on the Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary! Fourth, you get the impressive character lineup from the Tamagotchi Connection V3! Fifth, the games are almost all from the V3, less the hoops game! Less Ichigotchi and Ringotchi which came directly over from the Keitai.
We’re really excited to see this hybrid programming approach, and it makes it a lot more exciting because whether you’ve expired the Ketai or the Tamagotchi Connection V3, you’ve never experienced this hybrid programming before! You simply get the best of both worlds.

Genuinely buzzing over the new tamagotchi connection release! I can't stop looking at the shells. I downloaded the image onto my phone to show my friends with the intention of deleting it right after but I just keep staring at it. They're so pretty!!
Wish I could get the blue graffiti one on its own but it only come in a two-pack so I've gone for the 3rd one on the top row because I can't say no to transparent plastic and bright colours

#pers#i can't believe we are still getting tamagotchi in 2024 with no pause/daycare feature that is a little unacceptable to me#i'm a terrible dad okay. sometimes i like to pause them for a few days because i'm busy or don't feel like taking care of them#i like that it blends features from the keitai and v3 though that makes it feel fresh for everyone#i don't run my keitais very much because of the language difference so i am excited to see what parts they incorporate
