   Was the immediate thought that had popped into his head as soon as she asked him that. They had been together for nearly two years already and he had been trying to not get anyone’s hopes up on this lasting for too long. Nevertheless the hopes of himself or of his parents. 

               He was an Aburame, nobody really wanted to be with an Aburame, not unless they were a little bit…out there.

   Or so he had thought until she asked him out and actually showed up for their first date. But during the beginning of their relationship he was so sure she would change her mind to find someone who was more appealing. Like an Inuzuka or try to win the heart of that Uchiha- and just so many others. So for the past two years he had been putting off an official meeting between his folks and his dear sweet sugar cookie.

   If it went well and they all liked each other then maybe he could put his fear of her wanting another fully away. Of course he had a backbone though and was often use to holding back much of his emotions when on the clock, he had even been able to suppress any jealousy of another gaining her affection down around the six month mark!

         So if it went well…if it went well they could maybe go even a little further.

   He swallowed his nerves and spoke. “Yeah…” Quiet as he held her hand in his, stroking her knuckles with his thumb. God he felt dumb! Well he always felt anxious or sick and so much more. Hell his hive was even waving in and out with his slight seesaw of a emotional ride.

   “We- You, don’t have to if you don’t want too obviously…I just figured it would be nice…you know? I’ve never properly introduced you to them before…I know I’ve talked about them and stuff but…” His words caught momentarily on the tip of his tongue, forcing him to clear his throat.

   “B-but…I would really like it if you did! So please, will you meet them!?” Nobu locked eyes with her and spoke as firmly as he could. 

                    Besides he had to do this, he had to see if she really meant it.
