It was a dumb mistake and she absolutely knew better. "Maybe I pushed myself and I shouldn't have." But she didn't recall really PUSHING herself while practicing. She would punch the ground if she were still sitting on it.

"WOAH OKAY HEY!" She hated her feet being off the ground, "I coulda' just limped ya know." Lyn huffed, clearly irritated with what happened, "the pain's not unbearable I could have managed hobbling a bit." She REALLY didn't understand how bad it looked to someone else. Feeling like it was just another twisted ankle and it'd just be fine.

"Hopefully this doesn't keep me from going on another mission." This was going to be an annoying bump in the road.

"I don't really have any items I've kept. Wish I nabbed Zabuza's sword or somethin'." Lyn let out a sigh. "D' ya call my claws something I treasure though? I have those."

Kiyoko blinked and pulled out a small box of things she kept from every friend she made along the way. "Usually if they give me something... anything, I keep it." There was definitely more than three objects to speak of.

Yukimi had a few things she cherished. There was a small bag for money her 'mother' gave her. It was covered in cherry blossoms and snow flakes, a favorite pattern of hers. That was the big thing of hers she loved. The girl also had a snowflake hair clip and a pin as well for festivals.

"I'll hold someone down by their throat. That's a fun job."

Oh she was pissed off, how could she be this careless? Her fists were clenched as she stood up, right leg in pain. It felt like she twisted something when lunging. She rotated both of her shoulders to make sure everything was alright, north of the belt.

"Usually don't like acceptin' help." Grumbling, she'd lean on him, "Think I screwed my leg up training." Hopefully it didn't keep her out of jobs for too long. At least it wasn't her hand this time.

Shedding

You are losing yourself, bit by bit. Your own skin is peeling away, moths forming out of it as you shed more of yourself. Your breaths birth hummingbirds and doves as they abate, your fears turning into savage things of teeth and claw. How much more of yourself will you have to grate away until you fit the mold you set yourself today? How much more will have to go tomorrow? How much longer until you've shed too much of yourself - until the pieces you left by the roadside are more than what little you have left?

You need to leave, you can't stay. You've forgotten how to do it - how to set your roots, how to unpack the moving boxes. Staying too long isn't an option, the steady thrum of mixed curiosity and dread always propelling you forward. You've burnt all your bridges, leaving a trail of shattered connections every time you leave. But still you can't stay, can't even sit still. You tire of life as it happens, wishing you could quit your job and just become something else - anything at all. You've forgotten how to make a place into a home, feeling content only in novelty, at home only on the road.

"Nah, didn't follow you here… but I didn't know someone was already in the hot spring." There was a sigh, not leaving either. She walked over to a corner and lowered herself into the water. "Needed to loosen a few muscles and soak my hand. Claw's been causing it to ache lately."
