"I don't really have any items I've kept. Wish I nabbed Zabuza's sword or somethin'." Lyn let out a sigh. "D' ya call my claws something I treasure though? I have those."

Kiyoko blinked and pulled out a small box of things she kept from every friend she made along the way. "Usually if they give me something... anything, I keep it." There was definitely more than three objects to speak of.

Yukimi had a few things she cherished. There was a small bag for money her 'mother' gave her. It was covered in cherry blossoms and snow flakes, a favorite pattern of hers. That was the big thing of hers she loved. The girl also had a snowflake hair clip and a pin as well for festivals.

"Don't think I could take losing another 'family' member." Lyn looked up at the ceiling, her brothers were still alive, as was her father. But those friends of hers… the ones who actually understood her, they were gone.

"But who knows really. I could take another few emotional and physical beatings and carry on." But did she really feel that way? She was a strong woman, losing arms in a war only to make her own new ones after being given ones by the doctors.

"If I caught up with Zabuza and Haku, took out Gato, maybe they wouldn't have died. They wouldn't have met up with the leaf ninja." She knew something was up with that guy, even if he was paying well. It was a fishy deal.

Tsunade listened to Lyn intently as they spoke. The other woman’s story, really resonated with her it made her think back to Nowaki and Dan. How she lost so much and failed to keep the ones she loved safe. 

She sighed and took a long swig finishing the drink she had in her hands. “I know the feeling… Been through hell myself… Still going through it- it feels like it anyway.” 

“Before she passed, my grandmother would say- we don’t go through things that we cannot handle. But honestly? I wonder how I’m still alive and able to endure what I went through…”

It was a dumb mistake and she absolutely knew better. "Maybe I pushed myself and I shouldn't have." But she didn't recall really PUSHING herself while practicing. She would punch the ground if she were still sitting on it.

"WOAH OKAY HEY!" She hated her feet being off the ground, "I coulda' just limped ya know." Lyn huffed, clearly irritated with what happened, "the pain's not unbearable I could have managed hobbling a bit." She REALLY didn't understand how bad it looked to someone else. Feeling like it was just another twisted ankle and it'd just be fine.

"Hopefully this doesn't keep me from going on another mission." This was going to be an annoying bump in the road.

The woman sure did deserve to be knocked off a bed sometimes. She'd hog it most of the time, even kicking people off of it. Bad habit to have when you want to be close to someone someday. Was settling down in the cards for her? Doubtful.

She would stir and groan a bit, hugging him tightly one last time before letting him go, "Last night was good, we should do that again…" Stretching her body a bit, she was letting him go free, for now.

Her legs still felt like limp noodles, so she wasn't moving anywhere soon. Someone with her strength needed one hell of a night to make her feel like she was unable to move.

the betrayal

you die at the hands of the person you love most. maybe there are tears in their eyes as they drive the sword into your chest, maybe there is none. there are certainly tears in yours. your mouth will open to ask 'why' only to spit blood instead. you will die never knowing if they loved you at all, wondering if you could've done something to prevent this, or if it was always going to end this way.
