death follows ciri. its a fact. it isn’t her fault, and she never wanted it, but it does. the razing of cintra, the murder of the rats, the hansa, pavetta, vessemir. yen and geralt.

death always has and very probably always will follow ciri

no matter how hard she tries, she will never be able to escape the guilt she feels for bringing about death to those she loves

strangers, her grandmother’s subjects, her grandmother, her biological mother and more all died to save ciri

where ciri treads death tends to follow

she will never not cry for them

she will Always feel guilty that she lived while hundreds, if not thousands died during men’s conquests to possess her

does anyone else think about how Ihuarraquax calls ciri star eyes. they’re talking about the brightness of her eyes, but also they only call her this in lady of the lake before yen and geralt’s deaths. in a way, you could consider this Ihuarraquax calling her starry eyed. i don’t think ciri has ever been particularly naive or idealistic, but the phrase starry eyed is also used as a phrase to describe innocence. the saga covers ciri’s life, and her loss of innocence, so i feel like Ihuarraquax calling her star eyes was supposed to represent her innocence, and not hearing them say it to her the last time they meet after the events in rivia is supposed to signify her total loss of innocence. she’s no longer the little girl we met at the beginning of the saga.

i had a bunch of stuff in my head and idk how to translate it into written thought anyways if yen is the horewoman of war ciri is the horsewoman of death they already started reaffirming this in s1 of tw thank you lauren i’d like my check netflix

okay so before i dig into the rest of these memes i thought i’d make one big master list of ciri’s scars both canon and headcanon. this is mostly for my own sanity but also??? its nice for partners to have something to reference 

okay so yea if you’ve been around for a while you know about my many qualms w cdpr, the biggest of which involve ciri’s left cheek scar. i say left cheek scar rather than facial scar cause she has more scars on her face, but this one carries more weight than all of her scars combined. these right here ( 1 , 2 , 3 ) are the best depictions of ciri’s left cheek scar i’ve seen to date. her scar is not some fucking cat scratch. a man trying to murder her nearly killed her in the process of giving it to her. people genuinely thought he had because of how much blood and gore they saw when he hit her. go gargle a lego cdpr, read your source material.

the scars around / on her tattoo are from self-harm. she absolutely detests it / who it signifies / the time in her life it represents. sometimes she’ll just idly scratch at it with her fingernails but the deepest scars around it are from her dagger when she’s in a particularly low place. she’s tried to remove it herself. she’s never been able to sit through the pain long enough, both physical and emotional.

she has scars around her neck from when she was held captive by bonhart and forced to fight at claremont. even when she thought escape was futile, she pulled at the chains her kept her bound in, the collar digging in anytime she pulled even the slightest bit. the scars are near exact copies of each other, the lower of the 2 at the base of her neck slightly deeper.

those two aren’t nearly deep as the ones wrapping around her wrists from when she was held captive. she pulled much harder with her wrists than she ever did with her upper body, fearing she’d permanently injure her spine and make her escape more difficult. there are four scars on her wrists from where the cuffs dug in, they’re some of the deepest scars she has.

this isn’t all of them, i’ll probably add to this later on, but this is a lot of them.
