A question of curiosity - assuming you play them due to your involvement with a bunch of them, what are your favourite kinds of characters (be it mechanically or narratively) to play in TTRPGS? And do you have any associated anecdotes to go with them?
courtesy readmore
mechanically kinda depends on what's on the menu, but if it's combat-focused, I personally really enjoy characters who "deny" things
not really the kind of character who I'd ever expect a GM to put in their element on purpose (I usually make a conscious effort to remind the GM of things I'm capable of so that I don't trample on any fun setpieces) but definitely the kind of character who modifies objectives just by being in play. I also like magic-users in concept, but that's more of a flavour thing
I think that's reflected a good bit in the kind of narrative play I enjoy, too. when I make a character, I prefer to do it with the rest of the party in mind, less to make the character "compatible" and more to make them sharply contrast in ways that encourage the other characters to have moments where they can reaffirm who they are (both in narrative and out of narrative)
there's a fine balance to strike here. on one end of things, you risk yes-manning so hard that the party quickly becomes a problem solving engine with a single striking surface. on the other end of the things, you risk being The Chaotic Neutral Guy
the space in the middle there represents the characters that people often want to regularly interact with, but rarely want to play. the sort of character who isn't actively disruptive, but raises a lot of red flags when they suddenly show enthusiastic agreement for what you're doing. the kind of character you almost need a diminished sense of discomfort to play without getting in your own feelings about
I adore playing characters who are catered to find plot hooks in other players' characters and tug them just enough to pull them to the surface
most parties have characters who disagree on things that aren't easily resolved. that's always fun, but (because people courteously tend to avoid conflict) it's very rare for those conflicts to come up without GM prompting, and "create productive conflict between two characters without leaving out the rest of the characters or starting a fight between players" is often an equally uncomfortable situation for a GM
lots of fun directions to take it!
have an arc that would benefit from a character taking charge but their player doesn't feel comfortable just Doing That? it helps to have someone else try to take charge who obviously should not be allowed, just to get everyone behind the alternative
have someone with a pure heart who doesn't really get to show that in a party of players who don't want to be mean? maybe someone who's a little more morally-compromised could give them a window for explaining what they actually believe
have a character who's part of some mysterious cult that nobody else is going to find the time to look into? the party could benefit from having a nosy character to justify cracking open that backstory
GM needs to fuck something up to remind the party of how dangerous things are? why not add to the mood by showing what your often-cold character looks like when something manages to actually upset them
[WARNING: DOING ANY OF THIS WALKS THE PRECARIOUSLY THIN LINE BETWEEN BEING COMPELLING AND BEING ANNOYING]
observant readers (well, those who have followed for a while) might have noticed I periodically go on rants about the much-maligned "evil character in a good party" and how both sides of the argument represent a communication and courtesy breakdown. that also very much ties into this sort of thing. I won't go over Tolerable Villainy 101 again, but you get the idea
distilled, I like playing the sort of thoroughly worldly bastards who often end up important in their own right, but mostly on accident, by virtue of being important to what makes other characters compelling

I think everyone will benefit from properly tagging posts. xreader fics abd ship fics ONLY include the relevent _x_ tags but none of the character's name on its own, allowing all the usual fanart, theories and such to stay on the main name tag and not be crowded out by horny fanfiction (I say this as someone who very much enjoys very horny, very smutty xreader fanfictions. I want to be able to search the fics I want directly without having to trawl through headcanon posts, fanart, unrelated ship posts, etc.).
No one really has a tailored experience on the internet (I'm glad tumblr is at least a little more user dictated than advertiser algorithm based), but I do get the frustration and discomfort that comes from the abundant hornyposting feeling inescapable.
It's tempting to take offence to persistent cries against xreader stuff. I like special POV episodes of shows for the same reason I like xreader fics. My favourite characters WERE the company I kept, my only real form of companionship (albeit simulated) for many many years. Not because I am allo, basically. I sought something to meet my social needs growing up where I was unable to find community or companionship in real life.
Unfortunately, because they are usually sexual in nature I just came to associate a need for human connection with sex (so am I allo or just conditioned to blend sexual, platonic and romantic feelings and actions together?). I was just happy to feel like I had someone to hang out with. I knew they weren't real and that I needed to find real people to connect with (not for lack of trying, kids are just cruel. Finally made friends as an adult, yay).
Didn't intend for any of that to be so sad or pathetic, but hopefully it gives context for the prevalence of xreader fics. Alongside the varied reasons people write / read them (no just blind allo horniness), especially in light of the widespread loneliness epidemic over the past decade.
It's still more than ok to not want anything to do with them either (be it due to being aroace or not - I know plenty of allos who find xreader fics cringe).
Something I need to clarify here – we get it. Well, we don't fundamentally get it, but trust me, we've been told time and time again why people would write/draw/be into xreader content (it's all part of the package of "aroaces MUST put themselves in allo people's shoes at all times"), and we know they're perfectly legitimate reasons, and we don't find it sad or pathetic, or cringe. At the very least I don't at all. That's not what it's about. It's not something as surface-level at that.
The thing is... The same kind of understanding effort is VERY rarely put forward in return for us. And the fact that we're perceived as naysayers is symptomatic of this. We're not crying against xreader content. People are free to do whatever they want. We just want it to be tagged to keep ourselves safe, and so we can appreciate some variety and find fandom content we can properly connect with with the identity we have.
The issue isn't that there is xreader content, or heck, that there's lots of it. It's that, as @kaoruko-han put it, "everyone is assumed to be into this", and that you can't express something as simple as "I'd rather read something else" without being finger-pointed as a villain.
Yeah, no one has a tailored experience online, but there's still a very clear lack of balance on what is acceptable to tailor to or not (and for us, that includes tumblr). And trying to find fan-content while being sex-repulsed? Bruh, you'd better pray on your lucky stars and be ready to trudge through an ocean of stuff that's loaded with the very thing that makes you scared, uncomfortable or downright triggers a feeling of sickness in you, because a lot of it ain't tagged. An alarming amount of people don't bother, because why would people like you exist, right? There's only ever them, and puritan bigots. It's that black and white in a lot of people's heads.
Here's the difference though: we, too, want people to be able to vibe to whatever fan content they want. We just wish "people" included us properly in this case. As it stands now, trying to find fan content that won't give you an uncomfortable feeling as a sex-repulsed person feels kinda like this (I'll try to illustrate that to the best of my ability as a vague comparison, please no one take that as a clear parallel, I'm literally just trying to explain how it feels in a way people who have no idea how it feels might understand): you're not into gore at all, you don't wanna look at it, but your streaming platform keeps recommending you those series that are loaded with gore. You try to filter it out, but no matter where you go, you keep being recommended those series. And no one ever gets your discomfort and you're being branded as nothing but a wet blanket for not wanting to see gore. It's kinda like that.
At this point I admire sex-repulsed or romance-repulsed people who still TRY to find anything at all in fandom spaces. I've stopped reading fanfic altogether and I've largely stopped engaging with the large majority of fandom spaces for those reasons. And that wasn't an easy choice, or one that I find fun because it feels incredibly lonely, but it's the result of years of exhaustion and strain on my mental health trying to navigate something that's so hostile to me at its core, even if it's unintentional.
So... Yeah. We know the reasons, just like the content itself, they're kinda impossible to ignore. But we are largely being ignored in this, and it's not just something at an "ick" or "picky" level ; for a sex-repulsed person, being spammed with sex entails much more than that. It's not even frustration anymore at this point, it's downright despair a lot of the time. So... Yeah, like you said, everyone would benefit from stuff being more properly tagged. For us it'd be so huge to know our safety is taken into account – that we're taken into account at all. Thing is, we're not, and we're so invisible in this and most other things that at this point, I don't have much hope. Sex-related controversies allo people can understand would sooner create a change than anything done for our sake.
#vilevexedvixen#asexual#sex repulsed#fandom culture#inclusion#sorry i ended up ranting a while on this it's just a lot of it seems to be misunderstood at a core level#and i wanna emphasize the reality of it#definitely bracing for more “yeah but” from all around though that's how it goes#“we exist we experience this” “yeah but”#...aaaaanyway *sigh*

Hello!
As a first post i wanted to share my favourite bubbies and since tumblr seems more text oriented than the other socials I have, I'd like to explain what was going on in my head while doing their character redesigns~ [BOOKS SPOILERS MENTIONED]
INTRODUCTION
These character designs were made back in winter 2022 for a sort of animation thesis. Many things didn't go according to plan in that school year so for lack of time and motivation I've never really finished the animatic but I will include a wip at the end of this post. The animatic was about my interpretation of their story, finding a person to call home while in a crude and terrible world.
XIE LIAN
Xie Lian is the first of the two I made, his character design was very clear in my mind since the start. It's not largely distant from your official usual XL but I thought it already fitted very well.
The three main colors for XL are white, black and golden yellow. The prevalence of black and white colors was inspired by two main factors:
I personally see XL as a heavily dichotomy based character, not only in the association to the White Clothed Calamity but also in the way he's described as pretty as a flower but skillful with the sword, following a chaste path but mingling with a ghost king, all kind smiles to others but struggling with his own hope, etcetera, etcetera. He is in a constant struggle to find a third option that is better than simply bad or good, mostly in his early God's days, and also later on with ‘not knowing whether to laugh or cry’. So in here, black and white represent the reality of human nature, where you have bad and good qualities alike, a concept I think XL struggled with a lot since he was brought up as the perfect and pure prince that can do no wrong.
According to my research of the meaning behind colors in the chinese culture I discovered black and white can symbolize many things, some of which I found quite fitting for where I wanted to go with my character design. Black can stand for sadness and bad luck. White represents brightness, purity and innocence. In some instances, however, white is also associated with death and is a color commonly worn at funerals. Moreover in my own culture black and white, along with deep blue, are very elegant colors to wear. Simple and elegant is what my XL wants to look like.
Another important part of my XL character design is his bamboo hat.
Following some good old christian imagery I used his hat as an halo. Most of the time I even ignored perspective to make sure his head is always framed in this golden saintly circle In my animatic storyline specifically it represents XL perfection. Soon the hat is lost in the mud and brought back later on by HC with a new meaning of finding yourself in a safe environment with safe people.
For most of the other design choices I took decisions based on pure aesthetics such as giving him a very elegant mole under the eye, very long and lucious hair and a very very long hanfu with some very very long sleeves. Yes, I wanted him to be very very everything because I very very love him!
Here are some other very very outfits i drew him in for fun and didn’t need for the animatic:
_____________________________________
HUA CHENG
As a premise to my HC character design I want to say I am very amused at people’s different reactions to it. They are usually neatly split in two: either they hate it with a passion or just fall head over heels in love with it, no in between. I personally am in the ‘love it’ side (duh of course I am, I designed it lol) but I also understand if your first thought is “WHO TF IS THAT?”, so let me explain my thought process here.
Firstly, hot take: official HC character is made to be your perfect cool-hot-mysterious-boyfriend™ that has it more together than you do and we don’t like that in this household, at least not always. Yes he is XL’s most devoted believer, yes he is a very powerful supreme, yes he’s always there for his Gege but in the end he’s also a very traumatized person that has had a crush for a guy for 800+ years.
What I’m saying is I wanted him to be a little more relatable and goofy than what books show us so I integrated some of his personality hidden away in E’Ming. From here I got the puffy messy hair, the big round eye and the doubtful expression.
Next up let’s talk about the palette. He also has, like XL, three main colors:
Blue. Mostly of the time he spends around XL he does it in his true form, wich is the form of a dead person (even dead more than once;;). This is pretty self explanatory, when someone dies the hue of their skin goes to blue and also ghosts in general are frequently represented pale blue or white in color. As a little side note to this, I really enjoyed the blue demons HuaLian episode in donghua S2, it made me feel less alone in my smurf choice lol.
Red. This is canonically HC’s color and rightfully so! Red is widely recognized as China's color of good fortune, and in my culture, it is frequently used as a symbol of passion and the color of blood. There is really nothing better than red for Mr. Crimson Rain!
Lilac. Although I'm not sure about my research on this color in Chinese culture, I've read that it modernly represents love or romance. However, growing up in my hometown, purple (and all its shades) was always associated with ugliness and was thought to be a bad omen if worn. Whoever had the nerve to wear it was regarded as a distasteful and ominous weirdo. I think it fitted perfectly with how every other Heaven Official other than XL sees HC; someone who makes blood rain for fun and a potential and actual threat to the Heavenly Court.
As for XL, other choices I made serve a mostly aesthetic purpose. HC’s boxy build, pointy ears and the opened robe to see tiddies(🤩) are some of the notable ones.
HC would not be complete without E’Ming, obviously. After comparing some different blades and trying to integrate a butterfly in the design, I opted for keeping it simple and I ended up with this wobbly shaped hilt made to resemble HC’s bang. The fact that now E’Ming looks like it has a big nose is just an added charm honestly.
CONCLUSION
Thanks for reading until this point I hope you enjoyed my yap and make sure to have a nice day/night! <33
I'll leave the link to my animatic wip here, please note once again that it is not finished in the slightes and there are also some funky expressions that don't really fit the mood lol enjoyyy!

relationship hcs ; l lawliet
requested by ; anonymous (18/02/22)
fandom(s) ; death note
fandom masterlist(s) ; here
character(s) ; l lawliet
outline ; “hiiiii, can i get a death note one with Manga! L?”
warning(s) ; none, just fluff!
due to the nature of his job as a detective, his schedule is extremely random and you’re not going to have much spare time to spend together
he’s married to his job first and foremost, but your relationship is a close second priority to him — which is saying a lot given his insane dedication to his craft
because quality time is so rare, he shows his love for you by sending you gifts (usually your favourite foods or nicknacks that remind him of you) and leaving heartfelt notes around your home for you to find when he’s abroad
he always makes a point to text you good morning and goodnight every day that you’re apart since he knows you fret over his safety during jobs
tends to speak very matter-of-factly and this applies to you as well — which can be flattering and flustering depending on what he’s talking about
you’re the only person who gets to mess with his hair — which he honestly finds very relaxing and you’ll usually notice him closing his eyes and his shoulders dropping when you start playing with his hair
spoils you completely. his salary is high and he lives a simple life so whatever he can spare goes into spoiling you
says that you’re his heart — you’re the empathetic side, the devil’s advocate whilst he’s the cool and rational one
it sounds strange, but it works for you
thinks you’re adorable when you wear his clothes but as he doesn’t have much in his closet he prefers that you keep your hermit crab habits to times when he’s working from home
he’ll give you the best bite of whatever confection he’s eating if it’s something you like — e.g. the corner pieces of a brownie (or the centre piece if that’s your preference)
will not let you anywhere near anyone in his business because he’s more than aware of the risks associated with his position and reputation in the world of criminal justice
the kids at wammy’s orphanage adore you and call you l’s spouse and always try to play with you because you’re ‘way more fun than l’
(he doesn’t contest that fact)
you are the only person who can convince him to eat something of some nutritional value (but even then it can be a fight)
sleeping arrangements usually have him clinging to you like a koala: head on your chest with his arms and legs wrapped around you, restricting you from moving
thankfully he’s a light sleeper, but you feel bad for waking him up every time you need to bathroom
he isn’t really physically affectionate otherwise, the furthest he’ll go is linking your elbows or giving you a brief kiss on the cheek/temple
doesn’t give you any nicknames and will just call you by your first name — but when talking about you to anyone else you’re just called ‘my partner’ before he quickly changes the subject for your own safety

Helloooo, sugar or phoenix! Everyone loves tropes, but I bet as a romantasy writer, you have some particular tropes that you really love.
What are some of your favourite tropes, whether to read or to write, that always just get your brain whirring?
Hello, thanks for asking! <3
I think, for writing, my favorite tropes would be:
Yin/Yang // opposite types -- I'm not sure if there's another name but it's like where the love interests are on two opposite sides of a spectrum, usually I like writing opposing magic systems and placing the two love interests at either ends of that.
Forced proximity/arranged marriage -- I like writing/reading this trope especially when the two characters don't exactly like each other or don't trust each other (but are forced to due to the circumstances).
Revenge? Vengeance? I love writing that kind of angsty stuff. Main character taking revenge for a loved one, main character being betrayed and taking revenge against the person who betrayed them, etc. etc. Bitter emotions that turn into passionate acts always get me.
As for reading... there are tropes that really get me going that aren't actually in the realm of romantasy!
Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, only one bed -- these are all the classic romantasy stuff that I will absolutely eat up.
Heist trope -- I LOVE heists. I love stuff like Six of Crows and Ocean's 11 -- the orchestrated plan and execution seriously make me sit up and want to write something related.
Doomed by the plot/doomed by fate -- I really like stuff like when a character tries to work against fate and they just don't succeed in getting their goal, but they also don't fail either -- but a different Third™️ option where they finally understand that they cannot get to that goal because their character has developed tenfold and they finally accept it (bonus points for angst if they sacrifice themselves).
In the same vein, I love self-fulfilling prophecies. Like, maybe it was a prophecy and everyone's fighting against it yet everything they're doing only moves the prophecy along -- OR maybe it was never a prophecy! Maybe it was just a rumor of a prophecy, or a prophecy that was made up, but because so many people believe in it, it fulfilled itself. That stuff really gets me, I eat it up.
Here are some other stuff that I love reading/writing:
Animal tropes. I'm not sure if this counts as a trope, but if a character is part animal, or an animal shifter, or has powers related to communication with animals, any of that -- love. Love reading it, love consuming media with those kinds of stuff in it, love writing it. I've always loved animals and drawing metaphors from people to animals and just -- anything like that.
Dark Academia.
Dark fantasy -- I love the angst factor in these, and I enjoy both reading and writing them.
Natural magic powers i.e. drawing powers from objects in the natural world, like gems, or moonlight/starlight, or plants, or blood/bones, etc. etc. These have so much potential for metaphors as well, like linking the idea of blood being a natural life force and making a character who has blood magic someone who really enjoys life and all it has to offer and maybe they don't like giving up on their pleasures in order to fight for a better cause (but they will have to anyway, cause you gotta fight your character flaw in order to grow).
Did I mention metaphors. I love metaphors and drawing real life functions to personalities and character flaws and that sort of stuff. Like making a "fox" character tricky, or making a tiger character someone who loves water and maybe wants to become a pirate (!! upcoming fiction?) -- anything like that. I especially like metaphors that aren't your standard cliche ones. For example, maybe you make a character with water powers one who is highly manipulative and finds themselves in everyone's weak crack, driving everyone to pieces -- because although we associate water with life and healing, water also erodes mountains and earth and rock. Things like that -- I love finding new ways to interpret things.
There's probably a lot more that I haven't mentioned but I think these are the things that I really, really love. Thanks so much for asking again! <3

Writerly Questionnaire Tag
Tagged by @cowboybrunch a long while back- sorry Sav that it's taken me so long to get to this!
About You
When did you start writing?
I've always sort of written- ever since I could write. It's just been one of those innate parts of me, that I can't really pinpoint exactly when it started. I've always had a catalogue of stories in my head, but it's only been recently (since 2020-ish) that I've made a conscious effort to set time aside and write. I've been writing novels/WIPS since I was a teenager, but always on/off. (It took me close to ten years to finish my first WIP because I wasn't very strict about writing time!)
Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?
I love Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Crime, Thrillers, etc as a reader, and I mostly write urban fantasy. That said, if someone gifts me a book, I will read it- regardless of genre- which has allowed me to read some amazing stuff (and equally terrible books!) that I wouldn't normally pick up.
Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you’re often compared?
I think my writing style is probably closest to Jacqueline Carey (or at least, who I like to think my writing is comparable to, but it could just be that she writes first person pov fantasy books, and that's where the similarity ends!) There are so many Writblrs on here who I am just in awe of and would happily sell my soul to have half as much talent as them @words-after-midnight @sarahlizziewrites @queen-tashie @cowboybrunch @surroundedbypearls... the list is exhaustive, and I can't just copy/paste my mutuals onto this, as otherwise, it'll probably be marked as spam!!
Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)
I mostly write in my bed with my laptop, because I am a goblin. I do have a desk, but I don't really use it as it's a Work From Home space that was leftover from lockdown, and I don't want to associate fun-hobby with real-life-work-shit. So bed or sofa, mostly, curled under a blanket with a cup of tea.
What’s your most effective way to muster up some muse?
I stick in my headphones, listen to the music on my old MP3 player (honestly, it's so old guys, it has all the songs I've enjoyed since my first 128mps MP3 player- nothing gets deleted, just added.) and I go for a walk. I'm lucky to have a small loch/nature reserve near my house, so I walk through that, enjoying the surroundings while my brain soaks in the familiar music, and just resets my creative juices.
Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and places you write about?
I think so- I definitely have a dark sense of humour thanks to my job, but also just Scottish people in general. We're bleak for the most part- limited sunlight and a lot of rain will do that to a people. Memento Mori Part I is set mostly in an area of Glasgow that I'm familiar with. The canal that I used to cycle along on my way to work features quite heavily.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing, and if so, do they surprise you at all?
Found-family, building the life you want, trying to be a better person despite the odds, trying to do the right thing...I have noticed a pattern with the tropes that I add to all my characters, in addition to the trauma I give them. Therapy is expensive, and OCs are easy to come by!
Your Characters
Would you please tell me about your current favorite character? (Current WIP, past WIP, never used, etc.)
Mavis is my current favourite, mostly because I've been writing her story. She's more fun than my usual OCs, because she doesn't give a f*ck, and that's really liberating. Morgana is dear to my heart, but she carries a lot of my anxiety. Ylarae, my first proper OC from a book series that I started to write over twenty years ago (f*ck, I'm so old) will always be my favourite however; she took a lot of my childhood/teenaged angst and just rolled with it.
Which of your characters do you think you’d be friends with in real life?
Morgana, because we're so similar. We'd probably meet in a support group for generalised anxiety! But I'd *love* to be friends with Avery, because they're everything I'm not; carefree, exuberant and hedonistic!
Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?
Caleb- he has a lot of my exes' personality traits (like I said, OCs are easier to come by than therapy!). My antagonists, I mostly try to humanise and try to understand their reasoning, but Caleb is just a c*nt. 👍
Tell me about the process of coming up with of one, all, or any of your characters.
My brain hallucinates them, and just makes them... They just appear. That's pretty much all there is to it. I don't know how it happens...it just does.
Do you notice any recurring themes/traits among your characters?
Lip biting; I didn't realise how much my OCs bite/chew their own lips. It's only when I re-read a first draft, I'm like "Again?! Really!". I add it a lot, apparently.
How do you picture them? (As real people you imagined, as models/actors who exist in real life, as imaginary artwork, as artwork you made or commissioned, anime style, etc.)
Because they just pop into my head, they appear as their own people, fully visualised by my imagination. I'd love to commission some art, but then I'd have to try to help someone else see the picture that I see in my head when I think of that character, and we all know, my descriptions are shit! But that said, I'd like to see what an artist would be able to come up with based on my ramblings! In a morbid curiosity kind of way!
Your Writing
What’s your reason for writing?
As previously stated- it's always been a bit of a thing. I just like to make up little stories and write them down.
Is there a specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating coming from your readers?
Tbh, any sort of attention is nice, and bonus points if it's something nice, or constructively critical. I'm aware that I;m not a *great* writer, but I'd like to get better. So a comment saying something went well, or could be improved upon by using x or y, is always appreciated. I'm my own worst critic, so having some outside perspective is reassuring but also terrifying!
How do you feel about your own writing? (Answer in whatever way you interpret this question.)
I swing between thinking I'm a genius at times, then feel guilty about being a narcissist! Whilst at the same time, cringing internally at how basic and lame my WIPs are. There is no middle ground- it's these two moods or nothing. Good/Bad, nothing in between, but seeing other people's posts, it seems to just be a writer thing, which is very reassuring to me.
If you were the last person on earth and knew your writing would never be read by another human, would you still write?
Probably- It would fill the time, and probably help me manage my anxiety about the lack of clean drinking water, food, antibiotics, the horror of watching everyone else I love die, the guilt of being the sole survivor....the crushing weight of reality...
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely what you enjoy? If it’s a mix of the two, which holds the most influence?
I write for me, and me only. It's nice if other people enjoy it, but ultimately, I'm never going to be a published author, and I enjoy the freedom of just being able to write my silly little WIPs. I don't have the energy to keep myself happy, let alone other people!!

Hi!!!
I love your DN art so much, it gives me will to live, it gets me through the day.
I wanna draw like you oh my god you have this storyboard artist kind of style. Effortlessly expressive and dynamic.
Can I worship you? Jk jk (or am I?)
Your A is the best interpretation of this character I have ever seen. I love her.
I have some questions if you have a minute or two 🥺
Can you give me 3 favourite DN fics?
Do you have musical associations for characters (especially B)?
How do you personally feel about L and about Mikami?
What is your favourite food and day of the week?
Please never stop clowning ! 🤡❤️
This is extremely nice of you, thank you !! it's been ages since I've drawn canon DN stuff...
Thank you for the sweet message, I know I still have a long path ahead in terms of improvement as an artist but I value your words immensely as they motivate me to go on now, THE QUESTIONSSss...
Fics I remember killed me on sight
This is how I disappear. (gen) 10/10, work of art, made me sit at the edge of my seat. I recommend everything from this author, definitely DO MIND the tags though! it's dark
If you're into AUs and Lawlight, here's one where Light runs for presidency (Those who stand for nothing fall for anything) and one where he's a cryptid investigator (The forest holds strange creatures), they're both awesome in unique ways. Both are explicit, take that into account
If you're interested in reading different interactions and a very unique twist to the canon events where Naomi is the protagonist, Silent Partner, Unifinished Business is amazing and very suspensey
This one is long, immense, ultra suspensey, with a lot of different characters interacting in interesting ways I never thought before, very lawlight and very explicit, (but I read it all in like 3 days because it caught me BAD and was foaming at the mouth during the entire course of it), also was the founding inspiration to my BB brainrot and design-> Nights
I also made a masterpost of all my favourite meronia (melloxnear) fics back when I was balls deep into it
Finally, my AWESOME friends have made abbie x my BB fics for me back in the days which I treasure with my heart, I feel a bit schoopid sharing them because they're basically my OCs and their story remains a secret but they're beautifully written and. I die. I die everytime I remember they did these for me -> First Christmas (explicit), Stand under my Umbrella (short n funny), Just Another Day (sad and short, based on a comic I did years ago)
ANd also, same author as Silent Partner, wrote Dead Letter Office as a gift to me once, and it melted me into a sugary puddle in the ground
Characters and music
Like every other BB kinnie / stan I have my fair share of associated songs, mostly by style and delusion and very few by actual fitting lyrics lol. But here's what I consider his theme song - and also, I headcanon HARD that he has Danny Elfman's voice
How I feel about L and Mikami
L is special to all of us, love the guy, haven't met a single DN fan who doesn't like L. He's just fun and unapologetic which is what I like about him the most.
Mikami I have a hard time caring about, he's just not my usual type of character at all. He's too rigid for me, although he has his unintentional funny side. I also felt he had no chemistry with any other characters, so that made him less interesting for me
Favourite day and week day
I've been very obsessed with cremonas lately : o]
And my favourite day is saturday now, cause I finally get to have some time for myself to exist!!!!!!!!!!!!! and not work!!!!!!!
#anonymous#AO3 is glitching severely for me and didn't let me see the abbiexBB fics that were made for ME but i guess#its because it's been long since I logged in#anyway thanks for the ask !!!!!!! it's been ages since I interacted with anonymous and have been feeling kinda crappy abt my art#so this was v welcome#have a good sunday#or a happy sunday like we say in my country#death note#fic recs#l lawliet

Hello again,
I looked up the online store for Cider and Lichi. They have very classic and refined pieces, and you have a well-curated style indeed. Your lockscreen photo even suits your aesthetic with the dark background and pomegranates reminding me of Persephone.
I am glad that your affinity for “Carmen” is not for the more depressing reasons I had assumed. My personal favourite is “Salvatore” (which you noted as well) after a dear Internet friend of mine said the song reminded them of me. That was one of the highest compliments of my life. As an aside, I don’t know if the other anon after my ask was referring to this specifically, but you do have a habit of downplaying your struggles and frequently reassuring others on here that you are alright. Your struggles are not an inconvenience, imposition, or burden to those who wish to ease them. As with what the other anon said, “we want to care for you.” By concealing your struggles, you prevent your supporters and loved ones from having the opportunity and privilege of caring for you. Of course, you are under no obligation to bare your heart and soul for the masses to see online, but I do hope that you allow yourself to lean on your systems of support more outside of this space if that is the case.
I am pretty familiar with Star Wars, and the prequels are a favourite of mine. I actually was Anakin for Halloween, but I’m not very knowledgeable about the locations in the films. I do hope you will be able to travel there in the future! The coast looks gorgeously picturesque in photos, as does the architecture in the area.
On the subject of love languages, the reason why it is typically labeled “receiving gifts” rather than “gift giving” (although I have seen the latter on occasion) is that it’s usually in the perspective of which love language one feels the most cared for by receiving and less so about how one prefers to express their appreciation for others. Incidentally, one’s preferences for giving and receiving love languages can oftentimes be different.
Also, I am not exactly sure why you felt the need to ask, but yes, you may use whatever emojis you want on my asks.
— 🫀 Cœur anon
(I am curious about why you think I chose this emoji.)
Hello and welcome back! ♥️
Thank you for the kind compliments—you really have an eye for detail. When I chose this wallpaper, I did think of Persephone because of the pomegranate, though I didn’t dive too deep into it. Now that you’ve pointed it out, I can see the connection more clearly. She’s actually one of the less problematic goddesses in Greek mythology… Honestly, I’ve never really thought about which Greek goddess might fit me. I tend to observe characters from a distance without projecting too much of my own identity onto them, but I can see how the duality of light and dark that Persephone represents would be fitting, especially aesthetically. (I had an unhealthy obsession with Greek mythology as a child, which is where some of that background knowledge comes from.) You didn’t even draw a direct association between me and the goddess, but I’m rambling anyway, hahaha. (I told you I can get carried away, haven’t I?)
As for “Salvatore,” that makes a lot of sense. Your online friend must be very introspective to have come up with that. I think the second verse of the song fits especially well.
I have a habit of downplaying my struggles, though it’s not something I do intentionally. It’s just always been this way, and I guess I’m afraid of bothering others. Objectively, I completely understand if someone feels it’s not their concern—honestly, I probably wouldn’t have brought any of this up if you hadn’t initiated the topic. I also tend to think that I’m the only one who can fix my problems; I don’t like making them someone else’s.
That said, I don’t want to sound contradictory, but I also don’t think my struggles are anything earth-shattering. I know it could always be worse, and I’m grateful for everything I have. Please don’t worry about me though (I’m aware I’m doing it again, haha). If I ever need practical advice, I can turn to my brother, and if I need emotional support, I turn to my mom. The challenge is that I don’t really have someone who can offer both at the same time. My mom tends to get too emotional, and my brother can be a bit too practical. My friends, in their own way, need help from me too. So, over time, I’ve become more self-sufficient.
Thank you very much for being so considerate and kind; I really appreciate it.
Another show we both adore? It’s fascinating. The prequels are my favorites as well, with The Revenge of the Sith being at the peak. Do you relate to Anakin? He’s a character I’ve always found incredibly dimensional and real.
Thank you for the clarification about love languages. I had been wondering about it for a few days now, haha.
Also—not to sound like a creep here—but I saw you mention that you have an anatomical heart as your wallpaper. I assumed that you either like it aesthetically, or it likely has a profound meaning for you.
I’ll be looking forward to when we interact next, 🫀 cœr anon! ♥️
#Or you’re simply a med student because they’re always the ones obsessed with organs hahaha#🫀 anon#🫀#cœr anon#By the way I love Salvatore’s orchestral cover as well

For the character ask: seeing as you were just talking about him Jesse or (idk how much you're still into this film but I think it would he fun) your favourite Taqwacores character
Both? Both is good.
Jesse:
favorite thing about them
my love for Jesse is mainly a vibes thing? like he lives in fanon for me. he just seems like a good bro. good bear hugs probably. i also see him being the guy that curses the most
least favorite thing about them
NOT ENOUGH SCREENTIME (also something something o66 but we don’t subscribe to that trope on this blog actually)
favorite line
“No recon? No air-support? We don’t know what we’re up against!” —> because i love him rising up against krell (also everything else he said in the umbara arc)
Honourable mention: “Where there’s a farm, there’s usually a farmer.”
brOTP
KIX
ОТР
i love him being a whore actually. i need him and kix to be with a different person every night. they are both bi. or pan. whatever. if it’s consenting they are fucking it.
nOTP
any clone honestly, im not a clone shipper. generally, i don’t ship him with any canon characters
Random headcanon
he’s the type of guy that cusses, drinks, smokes, fucks, but also sweet as shit, will give you his coat and know when you need a hug or a coffee. just,, good bro. in a modern au he’d be punk.
unpopular opinion
i don’t think i have one? like i said, im just here for his vibe lol
song i associate with them
Jessie’s Girl hahahahahaha
favorite picture of them
Jehangir:
favorite thing about them
his dichotomy. this is even more evident in the book, from Yusuf’s point of view. Yusuf glorifies Jehangir, seeing him as this vision, this enigma, the one guy who might actually have it all figured out. this goal that seems unreachable. but then he gets incoherently drunk, or has a bunch of one night stands and both Yusuf and Jehangir question how good of a person he actually is
that perfect imperfection does it for me. he tries to figure it out, to do good, but he’s so human in the midst of it all
least favorite thing about them
his dichotomy. (see above ☝️)
favorite line
i lent the book to a friend of mine, but once i have it back i will reblog this with about 20 quotes lololol
brOTP
Yusuf!!
ОТР
rabeya (I guess?)
nOTP
fatima
random headcanon
don’t know if this is a headcanon or just canon, but he has a super sick style and is really fucking hot, but he doesn’t believe that himself (actually i think it’s canon, yea, lololol)
unpopular opinion
again, idk, there isn’t really a fandom for this i feel? so it’s hard to have an unpopular opinion. but generally, Jehangir is like the embodiment of punk, and part of the point of punk is to get people angry, so just liking Jehangir as a character could be seen as like a negative?? idk?
song i associate with them
anything punk, really. mainly, “bad reputation”, “american idiot”, “wolf in sheep’s clothing” and a bunch of other stuff. I also sometimes think of him when listening to maneskin
favorite picture of them
(i lov him hihi <3)
#this was so fun!! thanks for the ask Steph!!#good way to fuck around in class#asks#clone wars#taqwacores#arc trooper jesse#jehangir tabari

Hey! If you are still doing the Work In Progress ask game, I’m curious about what you plan for “Mightier Than Any Wizard Living” ?
thank you very much, anon, for selecting mightier than any wizard living from the work-in-progress list!
this is something of an epic undertaking, since it's the whole story - 1926 to 1998 [and into the afterlife beyond] - with one difference: a female voldemort.
i'll be frank that i don't usually go out of my way to read stories which [binary - because it's always a binary swap] genderswap characters, because i think it's rarely done as interestingly as it could be. genderswapping in this fandom is primarily a shipping device, overwhelmingly used to render slash pairings more "palatable" by either making them het or making them wlw, and with the genderswapped character often turned into an exaggerated feminine stereotype [something which, as i've said before, also happens in slash writing which equates sexual dynamics with personality types and bottoms with submissives].
which is to say, harriet potter is almost exclusively tiny, fragile, submissive, and desperate to be bred by whichever romantic partner the story's pairing her with.
although there's another side to this - genderswapping characters to make them edgier or more glamorous. mary marvolo riddle* is a dark, sexy femme fatale. who always appears to look a surprising amount like bellatrix...
but I've seen far less genderswapping which takes a look at the wider implications - for the stations of canon; for wizarding society - of characters who are canonically [understood to be] men being written as women instead.
for example, harry is a public symbol of defiance and resistance. would the same be true of the girl-who-lived?
how would siria and regina black understand their relationship to their family and lineage?
does veronica weasley still feel least loved by the mother who craved a daughter?
what does fudge's relationship with dumbledore and lucius malfoy look like if she's cornelia? how do we read snape's treatment of pupils if she's severine? if betty crouch sends her own daughter to azkaban, how do the wizarding public react?
and how does the state respond to a terrorist kingpin who's not a king at all...?
at the minute, all writing this does is bring up more and more questions... does the canonical deprivation of voldemort's childhood look more sinister if we think about it happening to a little girl, and why? what changes in the way voldemort's first meeting with dumbledore can be read if the headmaster isn't meeting tom, 'his handsome father in miniature'? does she still hate her face and her name and her father? do slughorn's interactions with the teenage voldemort seem less avuncular and much more creepy? do hepzibah smith's seem less?
can a young half-blood woman, with no money to speak of, in the 1940s - even if she's immortal, a murderer multiple times over, and the most talented pupil hogwarts has ever seen - reject the social norms of marriage and children which never seem to trouble the canonical voldemort? how does it feel to know your mother died in childbirth when you possess the requisite anatomy for the same thing to happen to you? is a female voldemort's loss of beauty perceived differently from the male one's?
do the death eaters obey her? how is their dynamic different from their canonical relationship with voldemort? is bellatrix still her favourite? would disaffected young men like snape - desperate to associate with someone who could give them power - want to join her organisation? would men who believe profoundly in bloodlines and lineage be willing to serve a woman? does the ministry take her seriously as a threat? is her violence considered to be more of an aberration, something that women simply don't do?
how does she groom ginny? does harry still think of her as 'a friend he had when he was small'? does wormtail go looking for her?
the list is endless.
the only thing i'm really set on with this is that it's structured as an investigation into voldemort's life which is being pieced together beyond the grave by a dumbledore who finds heaven far duller than he imagined. the chapters are a combination of witness statements, letters, documents and so on, giving all sorts of characters - of whom my favourite to write, by far, has been an adder with a penchant for quoting beowulf - the chance to give their view on the mystery.
the only person we don't hear directly from? voldemort herself. obviously she was never going to cooperate when dumbledore came knocking, was she?
[*eagle-eyed readers will have spotted that mary marvolo riddle does not rearrange to 'i am lady voldemort'. this is because i couldn't be bothered to come up with an anagram, because i'm not a cringe teenage edgelord. she'll live.]
#work in progress ask game#asenora fics#mightier than any wizard living#female voldemort#it's giving pretentious your honour

Seeing as you're getting asked a lot about live action, which characters outside of Makino and Shanks are your favourite to write about? Hancock? Buggy? The Straw Hats?
All of the above! You can usually tell which characters I love to write the most by how often they show up in my fics, like when I write the Straw-Hats, it's often from Nami's perspective, because she hits that sweet spot between 'extremely intelligent character with 100 contingency plans' and 'idiot who's never too proud to go along with the other idiots' shenanigans'. I also just love writing the Straw-Hats; they add a necessary levity to the more dramatic moments in my big fics, and their scenes together are always some of my favourite to write. I've yet to do a Straw-Hat centric fic, because my interests lie with a certain captain and barmaid, but they show up a lot in my writing for a reason.
My love for Buggy and Hancock came about a bit accidentally. I first started writing the latter through my Mihawk x Hancock fics, and I found her character incredibly compelling, the way she's so driven by her feelings while at the same time giving an appearance of being completely unfeeling. She's also a great foil to Makino for that reason, who's also driven by her emotions but who has no qualms about showing it, and after Mnemosyne, I loved their friendship so much I've started including it in the other Shanties timelines. Luffy might have taught Hancock what romantic love is (or what she believes it is, anyway), but at least in my stories, the one who taught her what it means to love is Makino. You'd also think my love for Buggy came about through his canon association with Shanks, but that was Makino, too. Their combative dynamic (read: Buggy's poorly-handled crush) first started in Andromeda Unbound, but is now a Shanties staple. I also just think he's a fascinating character, having spent his childhood and career in the shadows of others, Shanks more than anyone else, and yet he's got the exact same ability to drum up loyalty that Shanks does, and Luffy. Honestly, Buggy for Pirate King.
Another character I really love to write is Roger. Outside of Peony and Silver, his only major role is in Tideswept, but he's always such a delight to write. Like Nami, he strikes that perfect balance between 'knows more than everyone else in the room' and 'unrepentant agent of chaos'. (I also can't not mention Blackbeard, my villain among villains, who I love writing for the same reason that I love writing Roger, except with an added dash of evil.)
And of course, there are the marines - Garp and Tsuru and Sengoku (and Sengoku's goat), although my favourites are the random recruits in the various navy bases and New Marineford just trying to do their jobs. The bureaucracy and administration and everyday goings-on of this giant military organisation that is so much more than the powerful figureheads at the top.
But more than anything, it's Shanks and Makino, although their lives and stories are about more than just each other, which is something I hope my writing manages to convey<3
#I sometimes get asked why I don't write about certain characters and it's not (usually) because I don't like them#I just have my favourites<3#although there are some who I'd love to write more about - like Smoker who's getting a bigger role in Salt Vows#and to the ones who've requested more Ben: I hear ya ;)

Honest favourite character ask for Sart:
15. Are your thoughts surrounding this character usually sexual, non-sexual, or a mix of both?
and
50. Link your fav song, playlist, aesthetic board, fan-fiction, reference pile, personal artwork, analysis post, meme, headcanon, or quote for this character. Whichever one (s) you are most comfortable with!
Ooh these are good, thank you nonny!!
15. For this, honestly it's a mix of both I think? But with most of the pairs or characters I love, I don't tend to like... Idk self insert I guess? So mostly I think about his relationship with Basch, and also about all the horrible fire stuff he does. 😏 Most especially the transformation magicks, but I have to admit that's from a "shit that's really fucking sexy" pov lmao, but again mostly thinking about how much it increases his height difference with Basch and the general size difference of a really fucking big monster thing with a max height midlander guy!
It's weird, I wrote out a lot of fic situations of porn with Sart and Basch, and now it's a long time since and I don't have active fandom for xiv really to talk about them with, there's a lot less specific thinking and more just digging into lore and headcanons, field note translations and stuff like that.
But I mean also like. I like to think about him railing Basch. And Basch railing him! I'm gonna enjoy writing the sex scenes in my phoenix au wip (which now has a name!), because they're finally gonna be fucking as both old guys and NOT IN THE AFTERLIFE. GOD FUCKING BLESS
50. I don't have a playlist or aesthetic board or anything like that, but I do have two songs I highly associate with him and a whole lot of really fucking amazing art that was drawn for my fics or gifted to me! Also not gonna lie..... I still have a reference pile on hand from when I did trades for art and got a commission ahahah
so!! unfortunately because i need to talk about him at all times, here is a general large dump of Sart Related Items :DDD i could also list headcanons, lore bits and other random shit, but for that i'll direct you to my Sartauvoir quo Soranus shrine on my neocities! it's not as full of stuff as it will be yet, but there's a lot of info there about skirmishes, voicelines, spells and also translations of his field note! thank you for the opportunity to ramble, nonny 💚💚💚
giant reference folder full of screenshots of both him and Basch, along with a refsheet i made for commissioning purposes! as is my habit, there are ten thousand images within these folders lol
songs!!! #1: Starset - Tunnelvision! if anyone has me on discord, this song is the reason i've had my status as "❤️🔥marching to the beat of oblivion" for like, ten bajillion years!! idk the lyrics aren't super fitting but they give me Sart Vibes so!!!
#2: Rave the Reqviem - God, Demon, Machine! this one gives me like, feelings about how destructive Sart's fire magick is, and the whole vibe of how the IVth is fighting to bring Landis back from Garlean control but within the system, you know? And ofc in the worst way possible. OUGH. Anyway maybe this would be a better song for Lyon but i like the image of burning jet planes for Sart, so!
and onto the art!
these two pieces were drawn by my friend @hanyosacrimony and illustrate parts of two of my fics! [second piece here at twitter]
here's a commission i got of them from beequinox on twitter! KISSIES
this piece is another fic illustration by hamstrhammy on twitter - we did an art for screenshots trade!
this piece is by my awesome friend @eemamminy-art! i did another screenshots for art trade with him, and she illustrated this scene from the end of my Body Politics series!
and finally, this piece from my husband @crowbi as a pride month surprise!! MY BABIES......
there are a few artists who drew or still draw Sart who I love, but I don't want to repost and also this is a very long post already by now lolol
#ask quail#nonnybirds#sartauvoir quo soranus#basch van gabranth#sartbasch#this did make me immediately go and start making an aesthetic board on pinterest ahahah THANKS NONNY!!!

List 5 facts about a favorite sim of yours, and send this to simblrs whose sims you adore 💜
(ELVENE?? IS IT ELVENE!?!?!)
you already know it’s elvene who else would it be?! anyway let’s go elvene facts i’ll try share my best to share stuff i havent before but sometimes i forget what i have and haven’t posted so i apologise if i’ve already said some of these. (this post turned out way longer than i meant for it to so i’m putting it under the cut)
1. elvenes favourite flowers are daisies! they remind her of home as there was a huge daisy field just a short walk away from her home village on the outskirts of the forest. her mother also taught her to make daisy crowns when she was younger, and when she returns to the village many years later when shes older to pay her respects to her family (as she never got the chance to as a child and she wasn’t strong enough to return to her destroyed village prior to this) she leaves a flower crown at the site where her mother passed
2. one thing i’m sure everyone knows about elvene is that she’s very sarcastic and she doesn’t really show her emotions meaning she can come across as quite cold at times. however deep down elvene is a very caring and protective person! for instance in bg3 when she finds arabella in the cursed shadowlands, her immediate first instinct is to help her. there are a lot of similarities in their situation and so she vows that she will do whatever she can to help and protect this young girl. when she finds out the fate of arabella’s parents however for the first time elvene breaks down crying, she doesn’t know how to face this again and she doesn’t know how to tell this young girl (she probably makes shadowheart or astarion do it for her). she ends up taking arabella under her wing and caring for her much how her party did when they found her and took her in! there’s a lot of similarities between their situation and i defiantly think she becomes somewhat of an older sister / mentor to arabella, and if you so much as even dare try lay a hand on arabella you will loose that hand. also because arabella has druid powers i like to think elvene helps teach her how to use this powers because her mother was a druid and so she has a little knowledge about it!
3. for some reason i commonly associate elvene with one of two animals (ofc both of them being forest animals) the first one is a deer, because despite her attitude deep down she is still a scared little girl who’s family was ripped away from her also her sim has really big brown eyes which give me deer vibes. and the second one is a hedgehog which may look sweet and cute (like elvene) but theyre spikey and will hurt you if you get to close (like if you try touch them) and honestly that’s so elvene coded.
4. i have defiantly mentioned this before but it’s one of my fav elvene facts because i think it’s so silly, but elvene can’t do her own hair. this kind of started because of the first hair i gave to her it was literally just pigtails with some cloth wrapped around them and i was like oh she just kinda threw it together so it was out of her way. but then as i started to give her this more intricate hairstyles i was like there’s no way that she’d take the time to do these or even know how to it’s just doesn’t fit with her character, and so the idea elvene couldn’t do her own hair was born! (in bg3 she gets shadowheart to do it for her. elvene tends to mess her hair up almost instantly there’s always strands falling out) (@/druidberries’oc lucine also sometimes does elvenes hair i actually made a render with the two of them a little while ago)
5. pretty obvious but elvenes main weapon of choice and the weapon she is the best at wielding is the bow and arrow (it’s how she got the name sharp). however, this isn’t the only weapon she knows how to wield, she just prefers it. she does know how to wield other weapons however she usually doesn’t unless she absolutely has to for instance if she somehow ends up close range in battle (which is pretty rare she typically hangs back but it does happen sometimes)
#i did not mean for this post to turn out so long i’m so sorry#listen give me any opportunity to talk about elvene and i absolutely willl#sim: elvene sharp#butter asks#max asks

For the fav characters asks game: 2, 10, 13, 15, 49 for Laurence?
2. Did you always like this character?
absolutely not! I didn’t even much care for him when I first got into bloodborne a few years ago honestly. I’m not really sure how I developed a special liking for him either? but the choir is my favourite bit in all of bloodborne and victorian medicine is one of my special interests so I latched onto him over time sort of by association or whatever because of that + I love tragedy. and he is such a tragic beast is he not. also his theme goes so fucking hard lyrics and instrumental composition go insane it gives me chills
10. Do you see yourself in this character even without projecting?
Blood obsessed yeah. But honestly I’ve been handling him almost like an oc as of recent and cant really remember what ‘canon’ parts of him I relate to right now. I’m sure there has to be something because that’s usually what gets you to bond with a character yk….. I associate laurence at first with solemnity(to a pretentious extent) and being glib but convincing enough to secure his position and the trust of others, and later with shame and regret and guilt, but also I have a lot of different interpretations I accept of him coexisting in my mind? if that makes sense?(at the core it’s mainly the things I mentioned before tho) I guess another major thing I find myself relating to is the desire to learn and the fact that I would go to any lengths for the sake of acquiring certain knowledge- something bloodborne taught me is bad but if I’m relating to laurence then that won’t stop me as history has shown. maybe when I turn into a shameful beast that is the very image of humiliation I will begin to understand
13. If you could draw effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what scene (s) would you draw for this character?
I’m already drawing this guy every other day I wish I wasnt. I hate him he should not be taking up so much of my time and thoughts. I have a lot of concepts regarding him I want to execute in mind these days but I have absolutely no idea how to go about them….. hopefully this strange creative block I’m in rn will leave me alone soon
15. Are your thoughts surrounding this character usually sexual, non-sexual, or a mix of both?
always nonsexual he’s too much of a loser (what’s funny is that I couldn’t answer the ‘do you relate to this character’ question but anytime I’m asked if I’m sexually attracted to him I always think “he reminds me too much of myself” subconsciously which is super funny. what do I mean by this)
49. What’s your favorite personality trait in this character?
fucking around and finding out goes crazy with this one. and malice(intentional or yet to be awakened) is a beautiful thing when you happen to be an influential scholar who then becomes a huge authority figure. nothing could go wrong here
#asks#I love yapping so much#maybe that’s a laurence trait the inability to shut the fuck up when you care about the topic#laurence autistic with the most insane masking skills just trust me
