Compound is defined as a thing that is composed of two or more separate elements: a mixture. Heavily influenced by hip-hop, graffiti, politics, and pop-culture, UrbanMedium best describes his work style as “Culture Jamming”. On Wednesday, November 13th from 7:00pm-10:00pm, Compound will host an opening reception to kick off UrbanMedium’s Solo Exhibition titled, “Art & State.” Long time friend, collaborator, and contributor to Compound, UrbanMedium is best known for his street art works and Star Wars-inspired illustrations. #Repost @chrisrwk ・・・ @myplasticheart had the idea of having the postcards for the "Robots Will Kill and Friends" blank on the back so people can draw on them. I figured it was a great idea because at shows people like to have things signed, doodled on etc. And there's been plenty of times when I heard "oh man I wish I had my blackbook or damn where'd that napkin go I had". So I designed up a big ol' c-line style card. So come on by to the opening on July 14th and grab one and have some of the artists doodle on it. Grab a few even. 210 Forsyth st 7-10pm First 40 people receive the limited ed tote(never to be re-printed) filled with A LOT of goodies. There will also be tote bags for sale with a raffle ticket inside. There will be original pieces of art raffled off, and maybe even some pairs of the @wearpear socks. So for $15 you'll get the tote bag and a chance to win some other prizes. Oh and have you seen the lineup?!?!?
