Okay, so M1

Had a date with him 2 weeks ago, at this really cool bar, which he picked out. We met up, the conversation wasn't awkward at all considering this was our first time meeting in person. He suggested me some drinks based on my preferences, and we started drinking. My love, I got plastered after two drinks, he was only buzzed after 3 (and one of his drinks was absinthe??). One thing about me is, I lose all my uptightness and composure, and I will be pasted to the person I'm with. At some point my leg was next to his, then I just took his hand, he reciprocated. I know it's the bare minimum but goddam it was refreshing to be the one to initiate and have it reciprocated so respectfully. Like yeah, I had to let him know what was okay but once we established that he knew all the what, when, how. We talked for a bit, I was falling asleep, and he asked me if I wanted to go out for fresh air, I was hesitant because I was very disoriented and I was wearing boots so good chances I might stumble, so he was like okay we'll just go sit outside then. We left the bar after a few minutes, and just stood outside it. He was like we can sit here, and drunk me's concern was, "This is outside a bar, we don't know how many people might have pissed here, I'm not sitting there", so we just stood, with me just hugging him (it wasn't even hugging straight up vertical cuddling), and this boy threw his bag to the ground when he saw that I wanted to hug.

We stood there for like 10 minutes until I got some of my senses back. Then we walked to a bench, sat down, and talked for another half an hour. He had his arms around me, and I was just not shutting up (I LOVE DOING THAT). After that we walked to a nearby bridge, stood looking over the water. We talked, again completely pasted to each other. Another important detail, he's almost a foot taller than me, so I had to get on my tiptoes to hug him by the neck, and this little shit goes, "You don't have to do that, I will bend down, my back muscles are strong". Then I finally gave him a peck on the cheek and he goes, with this really soft gaze,"Can I kiss you?" I nod yes, and he follows up with, "I'm sorry, I should've realised earlier and asked." Ciara, at this point I'm giggling and twirling my hair and kicking my feet in the air in my head. So, we kiss. He doesn't shove his tongue down my throat, points on that, he also doesn't make the dead face beforehand, and he is very gentle about it. Again, bare minimum but thank gods (I am the same anon who had the disaster kissing story months ago).

After the first kiss, he says, "You're such a good kisser" (which I think was a lie but whatever), and oh em gee. We kiss a few more times, I had red matte lipstick on, this white boy's lip are completely stained red. By this point I'm sober but we still sit down and talk for quite a while. Then, he walks me to the station and I tell him I had fun, and he cheekily says that can happen again if I want to.

Wow. I need to get together. Embarrassing.

250 followers Custom Memory Bonanza

It's finally time! To thank all you lovely people for your support, I have been working hard to get this ready for upload and here we are. Today I am sharing my custom memory object, and my library of a whopping 201 custom memories. Based on the wonderful Tattered Diary by DiLight over on MTS, and the tutorial she shared of how to make your own custom memories.

I've always cared a lot about memories, to me they tell the story of the Sims life. Some of you from MTS may recall when I did the whole several year rebuild of my hood, replicating every last detail of the original. I'm memory crazy, okay? And when DiLight gave me the power to make my own, I may have gone a tad overboard. Or just the right amount, you get to decide :P DiLight taught me most of what I know about making custom memories, and the base BHAVs are from her, but as I've learned more I've added some bells and whistles that I hope you will enjoy. It's a new clone and separate GUID from the original tutorial object set up by DiLight, so if you have your own you can have mine too without issues :) Found in misc/misc, costs 1 simoleon.

Features - Brand new form, created by me. Resized BV photo album with new mapping and new texture (seen above, in game pictures at the end of this post). I wanted something that was uniquely mine, and that you don't necessarily have to hide away in the attic or under the foundation. If you don't like it, you also have some additional model forms you can switch between through the pie menu. - Adaptable dynamic menu. Thanks to a really neat trick from @picknmixsims the menu reflects the memories you put in your downloads. If no file with the correct guid is found, the option for it won't show. Which means that although I am crazy enough to have 201, you can go ahead and only pick your favorite ones and the object will automatically detect and adapt the menu to that selection. - Memories all have a custom icon, that's made from game icons from TS2 or TS3. Some I am quite proud of, some are admittedly not great. Not everything is easy to convey through game icons, but I've tried my best, I hope the effort shows. 5 memories have icons that are not from the game, but I tried to match them to the aesthetic as best I could. - Memory subject menu shows only relevant age groups. For example, if the memory is about having a baby, only baby/toddler Sims will show as options. Goal being to keep menu as concise as possible. If you wish to assign memories retroactively, please see jonasn's excellent Memory Commander object, which has support to add my custom memories without age limitations. As well as a whole lot of other useful memory-related stuff. - Extensive documentation detailing everything you may need to know about the memories (text, icon, background, who can get it, who they can get it about, repeatability, where to find it on the object) to help you select the ones you want for your game, and familiarize yourself with them. - English and Swedish translations of memories, and object menu. If someone wants to add their language, that would be great but it's a lot of work so I don't expect it. You are welcome to share your translated versions directly if you wish, or you can send them to me for me to update files shared here :) If you want to learn how to translate the files directly, Episims has a great tutorial found here.

Examples of types of custom memories included - Extended family members memories (got cousin, got aunt/uncle, got sibling, got twin sibling, got great grandchild, got stepparent, got stepchild) - Birth related memories (pregnancy, becoming parent, late in life parent, had multiples birth, premature baby) - Marriage related memories (divorce, parental divorce, custody things, alimony) - Relationship related memories (fighting, breakups, additional love memories) - Woohoo related (memories for specific woohoo locations, repeatable generic woohoo/public woohoo) - University degree related (declared major memories, got a minor degree memories, got a major degree memories, for remembering having studied multiple things and being able to see what major your Sim chose without looking at their diploma) - Loan related, for remembering taking and paying off loans of different types - Moving memories (first apartment, child moves out, various memories for sims moving in with others) - Kids related (child's first day in school, got their own pet, nursery rhyme, giving up for adoption, living at orphanage)

Podcast will continue on from now until end of June with weekly episodes. Just finished up recording last June episode, realized I was ahead and started working on...

Full Patreon drop in June, July and August. Lots of ideas, June already has some recording done, mostly mapped out, got some ideas and the energy in my sails, feeling good about this goal. In addition, spoons willing...

I've also got a bit of a mini drop planned for Patrons later besides. Just started working on it, don't expect a bonanza on top, but solid work, playful work, creative work. Fun. Work I had fun with and used to get back into things. No ETA on that, but it is coming.

Commission log is cleared, dates have literally never gone better, request line is open, DMs more than willingly accepted for gals too shy (can't answer anons privately, but I can do DMs) for anything else.

Didn't want to jinx it, but it's good to be back to it, and now I am.

Going to mostly put this energy into creative work right now, while I have it on all cylinders, but I promise when things are feeling regular, I will ramble and talk and update again.

The Great Knitted Christmas Gifts Bonanza of 2024

We will perhaps commiserate over things and also I will aggravate my carpal tunnel! I will ask for advice on things I don't know how to do! I will make polls because audience participation is enrichment for me! Good shit good shit let's get started

At the time of writing it is September 18, 2024, also known as 98 days before Christmas Eve, which will heretofore be known as The Deadline™️. I have, at present, four family members for whom I am making gifts. Now you may be thinking "Kay, that's only four people. That does not warrant a big post." But I'm making one anyway so here we goooo

PERSON #1

Mom. I already decided on my mom's gift, she's getting a shawl. It's my first shawl and I'm kinda geeked about it. It's the Cosmos Textured Knit Wrap from Mama in a Stitch

Yarn is Red Heart worsted weight acrylic in Royal. Now here's the situation: I haven't made a wearable with acrylic yarn in awhile and I wasn't a huge fan of how it felt last time. But I know people do it literally every day, so: when the time comes I will be soliciting advice on how to make it soft and comfy. Plus I hate blocking and I'm gonna have to block this so yay growth!!

My sister. Adorable, likes a pastel, super long hair, so I was thinking...scrunchies? And then I was thinking scrunchies are not necessarily on the level of gift I was aiming for so I thought...scrunchies + matching leg warmers (babydoll goes to the gym sometimes so i thought it would be cute)? And then. AND THEN. Was scrolling Pinterest instead of sleeping and I found these!!!

My brother. So, at the first of the year I started knitting a blanket kind of just because--I really liked the pattern and I wanted the feeling of starting something new in the new year. In April I decided it would be a gift for my boyfriend at the time, in May it became too hot to knit with wool, and in July the relationship ended. My brother has expressed interest in a blanket from the same pattern and has offered to take this one off my hands. I'm about 3/4 of the way done. Should be an easy gift, right? Maybe I'll throw in a matching pillow?

However, I once promised to make him this sweater:

I bought the pattern, I bought the yarn, and I never delivered. (I started it and frogged it twice because my gauge was so so off.)

So uhhh PLEASE do the poll I need help deciding. Yarn would probably be a golden yellow wool blend, because that is the color he wanted 3 years ago and if I ask for an updated color choice he'll know what I'm working on 😭

I have no idea what to do for this man. He is a very classic "I don't want anything" person, and I am a classic "Must. Give. Gift." person. So already, times are tough!! What am I supposed to knit this man???

So I was thinking slippers-- I found a pattern for Woodland Loafers on Ravelry (pattern by Claire Slade) and I thought they were adorable. But then I was thinking why not make a whole, like, cozy care package? So I thought slippers, mug rug + mug cozy, maybe something else? He likes music, he likes to relax and watch his lil shows, he likes M*rvel?? Open to so many suggestions babes.
