This long sleeve flannel shirt offers a collar, button front closure, long sleeves with button cuffs, two (2) button flap chest pockets and reinforced seams with a supper soft finish.

SIZING: These shirts vary, many are unisex and come in men's sizing. They can be worn by both men & women. Ordering your normal t-shirt size is recommended for a regular fit. Going 1 size up works well for a baggy/oversized fit. Women's or Children's Specific sizing will be noted on the photo/variation options selected.

FABRIC: All these shirts are made of cotton or a cotton/poly blend, 55% cotton, and 45% viscose. Measurements and thickness vary slightly by brand.

Care instructions: Turn item inside out, machine wash cold, no bleach, no softener. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Air dry is recommended.

Due to different picture lighting settings the actual color might vary a bit from the pictures.

“Bruh…” You give Soonyoung a look, before turning back to your physics homework. He lets out a whine, grasping your arm and shaking it. “Yn, please! You’re the only one who’s gone on a date-” 

“I don’t think the one with Vernon counts because we were only pretending to be on a date in order to spy on Joshua and Jeonghan.” Soonyoung squints at you, before continuing.

“If you love me, you’ll help teach me how to flirt with the cute cashier at the coffee shop.”

“I feel like that’s not my job, even if I do love you.” You respond, and Soonyoung whines even louder beside you. He rolls onto your kitchen floor, closing his eyes and letting out loud sighs to try and convince you. Shrugging, you go back to your science homework.

Soonyoung opens an eye to peek at you, only to be offended by the fact that you’re peacefully doing your homework as he lays on your floor in misery. He sits up, now shooting death glares at you. You turn and glance at him, letting out a chuckle.

“Oh? Sleeping beauty finally woke up from his beauty sleep on my kitchen floor?” Soonyoung reaches out and slaps your leg softly, making you giggle and kick his shoulder. 

“Let me do my homework and then I’ll help you, okay?” His expression turns from a pout to a big smile as he stands up off the floor. He wraps his arms around you, giving you a big hug. “Aye…”

“Thank you yn! I’ll be waiting on your couch!” Soonyoung sings cheerfully before skipping out of the kitchen and into your living room. You shake your head, chuckling at his antics, before going back to thermodynamics. 

“Okay, so what’s the first thing you know when it comes to flirting?” You ask, reaching over to the table to take a chip. Soonyoung lifts a hand to his chin, showing that he’s really thinking of what he knows in an attempt to impress you. “I know that nice guys don’t finish last.” 

You blink, before letting out a sigh and patting his back, “I’ll give you that.” 

“Anything else?” 

“If I knew anything else than I wouldn’t be sitting here asking you to help me.” You squint at Soonyoung, and he immediately changes his expression to one that doesn’t make him look like a smartass. 

“Ignoring that, but the first thing you wanna do is start off a conversation. You can either compliment them, mention how nice they look.” Soonyoung nods, his expression incredibly focused on every word you’re saying. You fight back a smile at how ridiculous he is before continuing.

“If they seem flattered and look as if they want to continue the conversation, then green means go. However, if they seem uncomfortable and not interested then back off Kwon Soonyoung.” You say with a glare, and your friend noticeably gulps nervously, making you grin at the power you hold. You lean back, straightening out your shirt. “Okay, that’s it.” 

“THAT’S IT?!” 

“That’s basically it. If green means go, then introduce yourself properly and get to know them. If they’re uninterested, then that’s it buddy. We must respect people.” Soonyoung nods his head, rubbing the back of his neck. 

“Can we practice?”

“Pardon?”

“Like,” Soonyoung turns to face you, grasping your hands and giving you an earnest look. “Can we pretend that you’re the girl from the coffee shop?” You let out a sigh, muttering how badly you’d rather not do that. Peeking over at him, you see him giving you the puppy dog eyes.

“God, fine. Stupid puppy dog eyes.” Soonyoung claps his hands in victory, before thinking of what to start off with. 

“Oh wait!” You raise an eyebrow at your friend, “Can I do pickup lines?” 

You stare at Soonyoung, pursing your lips as you realize that he truly has not flirted once. Yet for some reason, everyone in school has a huge ass crush on him. Letting out another sigh you answer, “Only if they’re creative and actually good. Let me hear some and I’ll tell you whether you can say it or not.”

Soonyoung pumps his arm in the air excitedly, flashing you a big smile. You softly grin back at him, finding that he looks best when he’s happy. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes, before opening them and staring directly at you with a determined look on his face.

“Are you from Tenness-”

“No.” Soonyoung looks taken aback at your abrupt response, and you just shake your head at him. He lets out a breath, before trying again.

“Did you fall from heav-”

“No.” 

“Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got fine-”

“No.” 

“Yn! You have to let me get all the way through so that you can actually critique them properly.” Soonyoung whines, and you lean back onto the couch, letting out a sigh. “These are all gross, overdone, pickup lines that will absolutely not work. Give me unique ones.” 

Soonyoung thinks to himself, before sporting a big smile once again when he remembers one that he learned. He stands up and walks past the couch, before walking back towards you again.

“Do you believe in love at first sight?” You raise an eyebrow at him, and he grins when he realizes he finally found one you don’t know. He leans forward so that your noses are inches from each other, and you stare directly into his eyes.

“Or should I walk by again?”

“Or should I walk by again...” You say at the same time, Soonyoung trailing off, now a lot more discouraged. He leans back, now standing at his full height again, frowning at you. He thinks to himself again, and you grab the bowl of potato chips from the table, getting comfy when you realize he’s not going to give up anytime soon. 

“If you were a fruit-”

“No.”

“If you were a Transformer-”

“Feel my shirt, you know what it’s made of?”

Soonyoung backtracks, looking at you with a hopeful look on his face, but you shake your head. “I mean absolutely not to the whole pickup line in general, not me answering it.” 

Soonyoung sighs, sitting down beside you on the couch, thinking even harder now. The two of you sit in silence, the sound of you chewing the potato chips filling the quiet void of your apartment as Soonyoung tries to remember the pickup lines he took two hours learning the day prior. He lets out a small, aha!, once he recalls a few other ones.

“My love for you is like diarrhea-”

“God, no. Absolutely not.” 

“We’re not socks, but I think we’d make a great pair.”

“Not bad.” Soonyoung grins, pumping the air in tiny font as he considers that a small victory before beginning again.

“It’s a good thing I have my library card, because I’m totally checking you out.”

“Jesus Christ, no Soonyoung.”

“Aside from being sexy-”

“Don’t finish that.”

“Been around the world don’t speak the language, but your booty don’t need explaining. All I really need to understand is, will you talk dirty to me?” You stare at Soonyoung, a look of both disgust and genuine concern displayed on your face as he gives you a proud smile.

“D-did you… did you just quote a lyric from a Jason Derulo song?”

“Yeah! Did you like it?” You close your eyes, genuinely wondering how Soonyoung looked at all of these pickup lines and thought they were okay. 

“So, you are absolutely not doing pickup lines when you see the coffee shop girl next time. You’re going to compliment her like a good guy who does not use gross, overused pickup lines. Got it?” Soonyoung pouts at you, before nodding. 

“Alright, pretend I’m her. Try and win me over.” He purses his lips, covering his face with his hands once he starts to feel nervous. You smile, letting your head rest on your hand as you wait. Soonyoung finally looks into your eyes and gives you a grin.

“Hi, I just wanted to tell you that you’re really beautiful, and that your smile really brightens up my day. Whenever you smile at me, I feel like nothing could go wrong.” Soonyoung tells you honestly, causing you to break eye contact due to the warmth flooding your face. You rub the back of your neck, “That was good. T-that was really nice Soonie.” 

He gives you a smile, “Really?” 

You nod your head, standing up off your couch to signal that it’s time for you to get ready for bed. “Maybe you don’t need to add the last sentence though. The first one where you mention her smile is really sweet on its own.”

“Oh that wasn’t a compliment for her.” Soonyoung says, standing up as well and stretching his arms over his head. You raise an eyebrow at him, and he turns, giving you a soft smile. “It was for you.” 

Your eyes widen slightly, more heat rushing to your face and you look away again. Soonyoung grins, before wrapping his arms around you, cradling your head like he always does when he hugs you. You slowly wrap your arms around his waist, closing your eyes as you take in his comforting scent.

“Thank you for helping me yn, I’ll tell you how it goes tomorrow.” He pulls away, and you give him a small smile.

“Of course! You have to text me right after alright? Not a second late, I’ll be waiting.” Soonyoung laughs, putting his flannel on and giving you a thumbs up as the two of you walk out of your living room. He waves bye to you, and you smile and wave back. Once you hear the sound of your apartment door closing, your smile slowly drops from your face. You place a hand over your heart, feeling the wave of sadness finally hit you at full blast. 

“She’s one lucky girl to have you pining after her, Soonyoung.”

- okay, so. Obviously there is a huge phase as a little kid where Mac wants to be exactly like Daddy. Wants to eat the same food, wants to wear his little flannel shirts all the time, asks Amy to put his Halloween Sheriff star on a chain so he can wear it like a badge... Considering he looks like Jake anyway it's the most adorable thing when they rock up to the precinct looking like that

- (Jake puts Mac in his desk chair and hides behind it and pretends like he's shrunk down, and even Holt plays along when he sees how much Mac giggles)

- and then there's the pre-requisite drawing from preschool of 'my big superheroes' and Jake is right there between Iron Man and Black Panther (along with Auntie RoRo next to Black Widow)

- but the bigger moments come later. When Mac's in fourth grade and his teacher tells him at parents evening about how Mac is always at the front of every group doing jokes, but also keeps an eye on it that everyone gets to play along and nobody is left out, and how he keeps finding unique, but sweet ways to include some of the 'weirder' kids. And when asked about it he always explains that 'Boyles shouldn't have to be alone' which is definitely a quote he's got from Jake

- likewise when he's in middle school Amy+Jake overhear him arguing with some more rowdy friends who want to cause trouble, saying specifically his dad 'would be so upset'. "oh right, your parents are cops." "that's not the point?! My dad would never do something like that no matter how stupid some of his ideas are, so I won't either". Yeah, they're definitely never telling him the Tattler Story if that's how he sees Jake..

- when it's time to pick a college / further education Mac asks Jake if they can have a dad+son dinner at Sal's because he wants to talk about his future. Jake adds that Amy is probably the better option when it comes to studying and such, but Mac says "No I want your opinion, that's what matters. You know me best and you're not gonna bullshit me. " and Jake just 🥺🥺🥺 before he scolds him for swearing 🤣

- for some of his college applications Mac has to write about people that 'made' him who he is, and Amy gets to proofread it. She's in there, of course, and so is almost the entire squad, but Jake gets a good 3/4th of the entire paper for himself. And it's so heartfelt and emotional (Mac is a great writer) that she can't help but share it with Jake. Who might or might not cry about it a little bit.

- Mac's paper ends with 'I will forever be grateful for being given a father, and with him his own found family, that will never let me face the world alone. And I will do my best to to repay them for it.'

NO. 3 (Joy, Jacob Collier, & Maximalism)

If you are a professional musician, you have heard of Jacob Collier. You might not like him, you might not even listen to him, but you definitely know who he is. He is the sort of extraordinary talent that draws equal measures of envy, confusion, and obsession from the swaths of society that come into contact with him. Non-musicians marvel at the big picture; musicians marvel at the details. He is shocking to everyone for different reasons. Collier is a 26-year-old musician from London who cites Stevie Wonder as one of his biggest influences, and the musical genealogy is delightfully obvious. Collier plays, it seems, every single instrument, and he plays them all prodigiously well. He has a rich, unusual vocal tone. He mixes his own records with gleeful attention to detail. A YouTube comment I saw on one of his Tiny Desk performances described his style as that of “a funky weird wizard's apprentice in an old 90s point and click adventure.” That is a direct quote, and it is an accurate assessment, with his love for oversized shirts in outrageous patterns, often paired with Crocs or no shoes at all. All of this combines for a musical experience uniquely suited to the current cultural moment. Maximalism is back. Now, Collier has been enjoying success both critically and commercially for years. It’s not as if he suddenly appeared on the scene as the product of 2020 Weirdness. But I personally am embarking on a deep dive into his oeuvre right now, and it wasn’t until I’d been watching his interviews and live performances for a couple weeks that I realized why. While Collier is capable of delivering stripped down acoustic performances with remarkable delicacy and intimacy, his unique trademark is the infinite layering of vocal and instrumental harmonies. He has a band that he performs with, but he also has a one-man multimedia concert machine that he constructed with a PhD student at MIT. And he shines particularly brightly in the video projects he began his career with that have proven presciently effective during the pandemic, where he makes a band entirely out of clones of himself. The Tiny Desk I linked above is one such visual experience. Who needs to risk respiratory infection when you’re a musical jack of all trades and some sly movie magic can turn your one-man band into a four-piece with ease? Collier doesn’t perform with the stoicism that his virtuosity might suggest, and his persona is not that of a Serious Artist. He is clearly Online, and he enjoys it. And in interviews, his energy is always enthusiastic but humbled, a childlike appreciation for the opportunity to make music for people who want to listen. If his attire wasn’t enough of a clue, Collier is a goofball. He is human sunshine, elated at the prospect of doing basically every task he is endowed with. Now, I don’t know him personally, so I don’t know how much of that is a persona. But I doubt that kind of happiness is sustainable if it’s false. I don’t mean to suggest that he’s happy 100% of the time. I just think he’s one of those lucky people whose once-in-a-generation talent did not come with the price tag of boundless sadness. The 2010s began with Katy Perry’s saccharine belt on “Teenage Dream” and ended with Billie Eilish’s morose whisper on “everything I wanted.” You can never sum up an entire year of music with a single style, but it is not a hot take to point out that pop music got sad by the end of the decade. In addition, that musical transition was accompanied by an aesthetic transition toward minimalism. Tiny houses were all the rage and Marie Kondo’s philosophies were regarded as gospel. Economic uncertainty and environmental urgency spurred us, Millennials and Gen Z, to curb consumption (though I’m not a data scientist and I don’t know if these ideals were popular outside my liberal echo chamber). The color palette of pop culture went neutral. But now a new decade has dawned, and it has gotten off to a shatteringly terrible start. The last thing we want is white walls and emptiness. That’s not to say that our ethical concerns about consumptions have disappeared. But spending so much of our time indoors has meant that nesting has a renewed significance, and it’s a lot easier to spend time in your bedroom if there are decent posters on the wall and a plant or two to brighten up the place. And while some people are clinging stubbornly to monochrome color palettes, many people are leveling up to include the whole rainbow in their wardrobes and home décor—or at least adding some greenery. In my opinion, Jacob Collier is the maximalist king of the Anxious 20s (unlike the Roaring 20s of the previous century—although maybe after this pandemic is over we’ll get our chance to properly roar?). Some people think his devotion to harmony is taken to excess, that his arrangements can be cluttered or that his musical ethos is pretentious. But I find it impossible to watch Collier perform and come to that conclusion. His joy is so unabashed and unstudied, and his gratitude for his gifts is so apparent, that to me he comes across as authentic as any flannelled singer-songwriter with only an acoustic guitar and a I-IV-V progression to their name. Collier’s current project is a four-volume mega-album called Djesse, and while I haven’t listened to all the available material, what I’ve heard so far is delightful. I’m a self-proclaimed wordgirl, and words are almost beside the point for what Collier does, so it might seem counterintuitive that I’m such a fan. But in this era of wall-to-wall darkness, there is nothing I need more than the sonic abundance of the Jacob Collier Cinematic Universe. I’m intimidated by the idea of ever collaborating with this artist I admire so deeply, but I know my fears are misplaced. If I’m ever lucky enough to cross paths with him, I know he’ll be nothing but generous. He’s just a kid on the playground, and everyone is welcome in his sandbox.

And there she is trying not to cry and now I’m trying not to cry so I hold my arms out and ask her if she needs another hug because mind you had been acting in character non-stop for the past two days - and she nods so I hug her again and now she’s crying and now I’m trying not to cry even more. It was so absolutely sweet and I was so touched and she said that hanging around me was like being around Ed himself, so now I’m reminding myself not to wipe my eyes with my coat unless I want mascara red fabric because I’m misty eyed.

Like fuck she was so completely sweet. That just... meant a lot to me. 

your ideal partner: someone who accepts me for me but also lets me be wild and crazy. Someone who accepts that I have wings and I’m going to use them. I just want someone who will be....my best friend. 

your bedroom: ANIME FIGURES EVERYWHERE.  I have a pile of mismatched blankets on my bed and an equal amount of pillows.  My FMA collection sets on the left hand side of my room, if you’re setting on my bed, and I have a huge FMA poster above the foot of my bed on the opposing wall. My room is a wide as my bed is. It’s not very big.
