Comments: Okay, now the RNG is just teasing me (or possibly being mean). Hatch out three clutches of tree dragons in a row, the first of which is from the 3rd generation of my naturally occurring primal eyes line, which I've mostly been putting back on the nest as soon as she turns RTB again, trying to get my 4th generation. RNG declines to do so, yet again, and then gives the next two clutches both a primal-eyed hatchling. Gee, thanks, RNG *through gritted teeth*.

Though, yes, I am of course still delighted to have a second primal-eyed tree dragon in two days, because wow, such a low chance of it! Just really, really wishing one of them had been on the right clutch, dammit. *Sighs and forgives RNG*

Can we appreciate Fathoms now? Don't get me wrong I feel like they looked pretty different in the event and the npc art, but they're so cute and all the "oh they're just a mix of other breeds" thing never felt right to me, considering how many other(especially recent, hello auraboa) dragons feel that way. Literally the only thing I can think of besides the inevitable gene issues(which do suck don't get me wrong but I'm talking bout the dragons designs themselves) is that they look kinda like undertides in the male pose which, I mean, duh. There's absolutely issues with staff stuff RN and how they're pumping stuff out, but the design itself is fine. Most complaints about designs tend to boil down to "don't make sense/just look like this mixed with this" in general which. Isn't much of a reasonable complaint in any way when you aren't happy with the designs you are getting and are clamoring for new, better ones, but also want the devs to slow down. I dunno I'm just tired of seeing the stupidest takes in the tags ig.

Was curious on exalted progens, so I collected some data!

There are 269,376 exalted progens at the time of checking, the earliest is a male tundra, #53

139,948 are male, 129,428 are female, 10,520 more males than females

271 are Abbies

2 are Aethers

I also thought for SURE Tundras would be the most exalted progen, with how people shit talk them, but they're actually the least exalted plentiful progen! Fascinating!

yknow as much as people gave the most recent ancients shit, I like how you can watch Undel and the rest of the design crew get more comfortable with stretching dragon proportions and see that culminate in such a SATISFYING modern release.

I think it's neat being able to see the improvement and understanding of what may or may not work. Like the big claws seen on dusthides then the proper MITS of fathoms or more dynamic poses of undertides and aethers then into the very fluid swoops.

Especially marrying what people seem to love (dressing male undertides and male aethers) into two moderns! I can't be the only one who noticed the parallels of the poses, right?

this is not meant to be a critique or taken very seriously, merely an observation and delight in seeing the evolution in artistic expression even within the constraints of making professional grade artworks for a pet site.

Hatched quite a few Nocturnes today

I can turn this lady in a very cool adult Nocturne, she will be my first perma nocturne in the clan which I'm quite happy about! (Overall I prefer the F pose of the nocturnes over the male ones, not sure why) not 100% decesive on the tert, but I always struggle with the modern terts

I'm nowhere close on getting a bogsneak breed change (if they even exist - I think they do) but his colors are very pretty so I hope I can turn him into a snek (Or maybe a Undertide if need to be)

I was hoping on a M nocturne with some hyperspecific colors for an sona for my oc with the new puppeteer outfit. But I have plenty of time to try my luck out
