jokes aside i was actually just thinking abt mc escher last night... it's such a good fic i would honestly name it Thee homestuck fic ever just in terms of how well it echoes hs proper- the trope subversion, the (really fucking well done, imo) layers of escalating stakes, the constant conversation btwn the original work + the fanwork in ways that vary from 'oh hey, they're using the same mechanics hussie does!' to 'they are literally punching a hole in homestuck canon and pulling it through the hole into their own narrative where they coexist'.
