A Promo stained in blood.
*You were going on about your business until you came across a Television giving a gruesome news report. The scene is at a PizzaHut Restaurant.*
News Reporter: “We are here at PizzaHut where a horrific scene has occurred. The murder of all the restaurant’s staff along with many of it’s customers in a horrific massacre. Only three survivors were found at the scene. A young man with two little kids by his side. We are about to question him on the scene now.” *The camera moves over to a boy with red and blonde hair. He had an eye patch, a facial scar, and a purple eye. He was wrapped in some bandages as two kids was seen hugging him while whimpering.* “Tell us, young man. What is your name?”
Tumblr media
“B-Bastion. I’m telling you man, i-It was horrible, man. W-We just came in to enjoy some pizza when suddenly some deranged maniac came in and started killing everyone! All because the employee had the wrong toppings on their pizza! It’s madness! Scared the hell out of my siblings and I. I did my best to stop the killer, but-” *The young man grown in pain as he grips his stomach. A red stain appears on the bandages.*
Tumblr media
“BIG BRO!” *The two kids were on the verge of tears as Bastion fell over, with the doctors coming over to tend to his wounds.*
News Reporter: “Such a brave young man. We’ll have more to tell as the story unfolds. Back to you, Ken.”
Ken: “Thanks Barbie. As of this moment, no clues have arrived pointing to the identity of the murderer in question nor their whereabouts. So for now, stay vigilant and be careful. If you find any clues regarding any potential suspects, please inform the police immediately. We’ll have more after his commercial break.” *The report ends there as it goes to a random commercial. Someone stands next to you, looking at the screen.*
Tumblr media
“Bloody Lance.” *Hm? Does he know something about the crime scene? Do you question him about it?*

Thanks for liking my posts can I ask you something
You know the serahne girl I responded to
She argues that Chiaki that Chiaki is bad character because she falls under the born sexy yesterday trope that involves a young but attractive ai who is naive and who’s whole purpose is to make the male character feel better about themselves
To me I think you can only reach this by cherry picking details on nanami’s. Character but what do you think
Hey sorry for taking so long to respond. I was busy that week with my work life as well as going through something else that week too…
Anyway, it does seem that on the surface, Chiaki does fall into that trope as well as Chiaki being a “Mary-Sue”/Waifu bait character. With her pastel pink colors, slow and soft spoken voice, and having the talent of “Ultimate Gamer” while playing….y’know, a video game.
But Chiaki in SDR2 has also shown several moments of sassiness and backbone to her. In the very first trial, she blatantly told Nagito to be quiet while others were talking. In Chapter 3, during the investigation, she tried to trick Hajime by saying she was naked in a dark room. And in Chapter 5, she slapped Akane to stop her from killing Nagito, and got a bit annoyed at everyone arguing whether or not the card reader was real and just went and did it first.
While Hajime is the one Chiaki interacts with the most due to being a support character, other characters like Sonia have shown to care for Chiaki as great deal, and being quite distraught at the idea of her being the traitor.
Chiaki in DR3 is a little…more hard to describe. The two are very similar but also very different at times. This Chiaki is an actual human being and thus, unlike her AI counterpart actually knows basic knowledge and holidays. Chiaki does hang out with Hajime a lot, but is also shown to be the glue of Class 77. In DR3 Chiaki is shown to lament just being the Ultimate Gamer that that’s all she’ll ever be, and how hard it is for to make friends because of this setback, before her teacher convinced her that she can make friends with games.
In other words…she’s relatable to a degree… That’s kind of how I was at a young age, I rarely made friends because my interests in video games didn’t align with theirs.
Even then, there’s nothing wrong with a character who is nice for the sole sake of being nice. Other people are totally fine when it’s Makoto or some other guy being like that, but when it’s Chiaki suddenly she’s a “Mary-Sue” or “Waifu Bait material” and it almost sexist…
Long story short; Chiaki may seem a serahne girl on the surface, but there’s more to her than that.

You recently reblogged a post of the "waifu bait" twitter post, and mentioned not watching modern anime. I tried looking up anime on your blog and you said you liked Tokyo Godfathers, so I trust your taste lol. Can you recommend some other anime you liked? Preferably movies, but this doesn't really matter.
OMG thats very sweet of you haha. my anime tag is actually "animu" but a lot of it is just aesthetic posts/gifs. i find i still gravitate toward anime from the late 90s - early 00s but not for lack of trying. what i like most about anything animated is the animation itself so i place a higher premium on anime that isn't mostly static intricate paper dolls with mouth flaps or is at least nice to look at. i prefer slice of life over action or mecha/sci-fi in any kind of media, so while i've heard really great things about ghost in the shell, gundam, etc. i've never seen them.
i also have a very low tolerance for most shonen ("h-his power level... it's over 9000!" playground battle tactics) and most sexual tropes/fanservice ("onee-chan let's compare chest sizes!" type shit). it's probably more accurate to say i like some japanese animation rather than "anime", if that makes sense. essentially anything rating fairly low across the weeb-ass-shit scale.
recs under cut cause it got long!!
= movies, in chronological order: obligatory ghibli favorites: my neighbor totoro (1988), kiki's delivery service (1989), only yesterday (1991). only yesterday is a little more obscure than the other two but ghibli films have pretty much a universal seal of approval so i doubt a pitch is necessary. onward!
Tumblr media
little nemo: adventures in slumberland (1989): hey does this count as anime? i hope so. one of the pivotal founts of nightmare fuel from my youth (beaten only by brave little toaster, perhaps) this film has eluded seemingly everyone i know in my age group and i'm not sure why. while it's not nearly as inappropriate as its early 20th century source material it may have fallen to scarcity due to its "pg" content, like tobacco use and several frightening scenes, a la the failure of disney's the black cauldron. regardless, the animation is fluid, the songs are cute, the backgrounds are beautifully painted, and there at least a handful of shots that will flash in your mind before bed.
Tumblr media
princess arete (2001): hits a lil close to home since it's about a girl named arete trapped in her room and yearning for autonomy, to create things with her hands, and to participate in the outside world. a bit slow paced and quiet but i think it adds to the atmosphere and immersive isolation, and it does pick up near the end a bit.
Tumblr media
interstella 5555 (2003): obligatory. more of a feature-length music video than a film but still has a cohesive narrative. hope you like french house!
Tumblr media
MIND GAME (2004): my feelings about mind game are fairly similar to my feelings about burning man: grateful i had the experience, but once is enough. i personally don't care for "trippy" stuff, but the animation itself does have some great visuals, switching up different styles and even incorporating live action footage and rotoscoping for an experimental "patchwork" feel. nishi, a down-on-his-luck loser, grapples with purpose and the meaning of life after a handful of near-death experiences, including being swallowed by a whale; anything "biblical" after that is all knowledge-wise. like princess arete, this one's also by studio 4C but is intended for mature audiences (lots of sex. and a rape, as a warning). if you liked tekkonkinkreet (another 4C production) or paprika (satoshi kon), mind game is worth a shot.
---
= series, in chronological order:
Tumblr media
oishinbo (1988-92): almost like a shonen, but with gourmet cooking. as part of their cultural division, a japanese newspaper tasks two journalists, yamaoka and kurita, with creating "the ultimate menu" to broaden japanese culinary horizons. yamaoka is the estranged son of a highly venerated food critic and engages in a persistent rivalry with his father to both prove his expertise and to challenge the rigid traditions. kurita is an average working girl of the 80s providing the audience perspective as we learn the elaborate methods of the gourmet cooking world alongside her. nostalgic for its music, setting, and style, this was a big comfort anime for me, though despite its several seasons it never wraps up the story of the manga. also kurita has a unique outfit almost every episode, which is a nice detail. i only found out about it because of @/80sanime!
Tumblr media
tenchi muyo + tenchi universe (1992-95): harem anime crossed with a feudal japanese space opera of sorts. i first saw the show on toonami as a kid, and what hooked me instantly were all the different personalities of the girls. if you're familiar with the cartoon the owl house, it's said that eda is HEAVILY inspired in personality, character design, and even voice by one of the main characters, ryoko hakubi, a space pirate hiding out on earth from the galaxy police. mostly comedy with obligatory hot springs and beach episodes, but has spaceship battles and magical sword fights too.
Tumblr media
neon genesis evangelion (1995-6) + the end of evangelion (1997): i should not have watched this as a 12 year old. although i think anyone of any age who watches end of evangelion walks away permanently changed. (due to the nature of the series, it is unclear whether the "rebuild of evangelion" films are remakes or sequels, but i personally don't recommend them either way.) if you are somehow not familiar with evangelion: teens pilot giant robots against extraterrestrial threats called "angels". things become... much less about giant robots.
Tumblr media
azumanga daioh (2002): this was one of the first series i had ever seen (western or japanese) about girls being friends that wasnt preoccupied with getting boyfriends or being "girly". still has the occasional fanservice tropes, but mostly comedic or quickly over with. since it was adapted from the 4 panel comic strips, it retains a lot of the short-form humor as quick vignettes or gags. not as exaggerated and boisterous as nichijou but similar, and way less insipid than k-on but still has sentimental and cute moments between the girls.
Tumblr media
ashita no nadja (2003-4): nadja, an orphaned dancer in london, is on a quest to find her mother. she travels across (mostly) europe with the dandelion troupe, a group of entertainers with their own fraught backstories. she is intent on helping everyone she meets, sometimes to her own detriment, and learns lessons along the way about who she can trust, how a person's past can change them, and that not everything can be fixed with a smile and a song. meanwhile there's a kind of tuxedo mask thing going on between a pair of twin brothers, and nadja struggles with romantic feelings for both of them. overall very much a feelgood "girl cartoon", but i liked the dance sequences, the animation quality, and the evolution of nadja's character. i got to vicariously travel and dance alongside her, and i liked cheering on someone with a good heart working hard to make her dreams come true.
Tumblr media
paradise kiss (2005): MAN i should watch this again. reserved overachiever high school student Caroline stumbles into the world of underground fashion and street culture as a model, blowing open the confines of her previously sheltered life. while she finds a home in ParaKiss she also has to confront the dark sides of fame, the fashion industry, and the strain it puts on their relationships. as a fairly introverted raver with model friends i related to a lot of it. also for queer points, george is bisexual and isabella has been praised as positive representation by trans women, especially for a series from the aughts. also WHATTT THE FUCK PATRICK SEITZ VOICES GEORGE IN THE DUB??? OHHH MY GOD okay anyway
Tumblr media
the ancient magus bride (mahou tsukai no yome) (2017-2023): stunning animation, and a series i've yet to catch up with purely because i end up crying virtually every episode. it's a bit of a wish fulfillment thing (teenage girl discovers she has special powers and is whisked away from her abusive home life to a medieval fantasy world where she is betrothed to a tender monster-man) but has a lot of great worldbuilding and poignant storylines. it's ghibli-esque in a way but with more of an overarching melancholy and sense of foreboding compared to the average ghibli film. and just to get it out of the way for some inexplicable reason a few of the side characters have HUMONGOUS hungolomghnonoloughongous
---
ive seen quite a bit of anime in my day but these are the ones i actually remember watching and enjoying. like i recently watched all of slayers and most of slayers next, and while it was satisfying in a 90s nostalgia way i wouldnt necessarily recommend it. also there are some very highly acclaimed films and series that i haven't gotten around to yet (full metal alchemist brotherhood, cowboy bebop [I KNOW IM SORRY], the animatrix, etc.) hopefully this is enough to go off of for now!

I personally think Echo, Fives and Tup have better writing than Captain Rex, but heres why I think captain rex is the most popular clone: he's waifu bait, he is smart, cute and helps out the other characters, kind of like Chiaki Nanami from Danganronpa, she helps out the main character Hajime (mehaji!?) Because he is really dumb on his own and I kind of think it's the same with captain rex and Anakins ridiculous plans, Chiaki is kind of like a female captain rex and she's the ultimate gamer as well, i could totally see Chiaki saying "a lot of Hajimes plans involve falling', and Rex and Chiaki have a lot of the same traits

From my research of your blog, I have compiled a small list of traits that would create the ultimate fictional wife:
-
Tall,
Big honkers,
Muscular,
Monstrous (is monster traits, horns, tail, etc.)
Okay but that’s just the stuff I reblog because I look like that (except the last one, unless you count my VTuber model) and I reblog that in hopes that someday (maybe) instead of just your typical skinny stick waifu/husbando bait getting popular or praised by folks we can see people/characters of all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life being treated as “cute”.

I think there’s some real feminism at the core of Houses, at least in the Japanese version.
Remember how in the Nintendo Dream interview the creators said that Edelgard’s depth came from the fact she was both a cute girl and a conqueror? I think that’s the core thing here. We are meant to see her as both, not just one or the other. The cute girl parts are meant to draw us in so her actions as the conqueror come as a shock to players, but at the same time those bits are meant to show she’s not some flat villain.
She’s still the bad guy here, but she’s meant to be sympathetic due to how TWSITD are exploiting her. Meanwhile, no matter how much IS panders to audiences using her as waifu-bait, we are meant to view her on her actions and beliefs.
Like Ferdie says at the end of SS/VW, she’ll get what she wants with the next ruler of Fodlan being one of merit not birth, the problem was what Edelgard viewed as merit (and methods, can’t forget the methods). After all, Dimitri’s merit over Edelgard is his Oudou to her Hadou, his benevolent rule that serves the people over her tyrannical rule where the people exist to serve her. Not to mention, straying from Wilhelm’s definition of knowledge-based merit where leaders protect their people to one based around coveting strength and oppressing those beneath you is also meant to represent the Empire’s fall to Hadou.
Edelgard is a female character whose objectification may draw people in, but we’re meant to see past that. We’re meant to see past that, to see the depth the devs bring up as well as the trick they wanted to play on the players.
Even Edelgard’s crush can be seen as problematic. No matter how she feels about Byleth, fact is she lied to and tried to manipulate them into serving her. If Byleth does not teach her, she’ll still talk about how fighting them makes her weak despite the lack of interactions between them (aside from her appearances as the Flame Emperor) and calling Byleth her teacher during her death in VW. No matter how you slice it, this is not a healthy relationship and joining Edelgard goes against Byleth’s character arc so it’s ultimately toxic to Byleth. Edelgard “loves” Byleth despite not even knowing them, treating Byleth and the player as her husbando/waifu.
I think, however, that what Treehouse did made her problematic. They took Edelgard and changed things. A number of endings associated with CF were changed, especially the main ending to CF itself, to make her rule look more benevolent. We have changes in the text to make the Church look worse, while parts associated with the game’s Buddhist symbolism were watered down. That she wasn’t going to steal the Crest Stones to make people into monsters, she was going to destroy them because she views them as a poison, and talk of her information campaign was removed. Edge of Dawn links the flower to a red rose rather than the intended safflower, which holds vastly different meanings.
It tries to make the game more grey, but you have to ask yourselves why. Did Treehouse do this because they thought people would be upset if they joined Edelgard only to find they’re playing a villain route, or did they do it because they didn’t want the female lord to be the villain? That they took a look at who she was and what she does, diluting those things in order to make her more acceptable despite, you know, how Edelgard is still an unapologetic imperialist intent on mowing down everyone who doesn’t bend the knee?
Treehouse looked at Edelgard and changed her to suit their beliefs...and that still wasn’t enough considering how her fans take it ever further. As I’ve said before, no one hates Edelgard more than her own fanbase.

5 Fandoms, 5 Ships
I was tagged by @imakemywings , thank you bestie!!! 💖💖💖😎
BNHA - Shouto Todoroki/Izuku Midoriya
I am obsessed with them. They literally live in my brain rent free. They're so sweet and feral. The Sports Festival really did change everything in the series. Izuku opened Shouto's eyes to make the fire quirk he had his own, and he hasn't been the same since (and neither have I). Izuku is Shouto's hero. He changed his life. Because of that, now Izuku has a best friend in Shouto (and let's be real, a boyfriend). These two are so ride or die for one another. Shouto constantly remembers what Izuku told him. Izuku can rely on Shouto because they're on the same frequency. Reckless. They'd follow each other into the dark.
Princess Tutu - Fakir/Ahiru
Ultimate enemies to friends to lovers. Fakir literally tried to kill Duck as Tutu like twice, he didn't care. But then he and Duck started working together and Duck changed his whole outlook. Fakir was still a jerk, but he grew softer and fonder of Duck, and he was so protective of her. Duck is Fakir's muse. He is able to write about her because he understands her, unlike Mytho, and she trusts him with his storytelling powers. Plus, Duck was really the only one who had real faith in Fakir as a knight. They're so sweet and tender with each other. (We were also baited and robbed of that kiss from the trailer.)
Sailor Moon - Haruka Tenoh/Michiru Kaioh
I have an entire blog just dedicated to SM and harumichi. That's how much I love them. Haruka was so hesitant to become a sailor scout and even dreamt about Neptune, but she eventually became one because Michiru saved her from a monster and also because she couldn't fight her own fate. They have an amazing dynamic and they trust each other wholeheartedly and work so well together. They are also on the same frequency and have the same goal. They are also very tender with each other, especially when they hold hands and Michiru tells Haruka she likes her hands. They also have Pure Hearts.
House MD - House/Wilson
I've watched this show since I was like 16 and I've always liked House and Wilson. They give off such a huge Old Married Couple vibe, it's fantastic. They can be stupidly toxic for one another, though lmfao rip. But they get along so well, the way they riff off each other is so golden. Plus, House gets jealous of Wilson's fluffy cat receiving more attention than him. 🙄
FMA - Edward Elric/Winry Rockbell
Probably the first OTP I fell in love with HARD. I've written a lot of stories for them. I have a fic collection of 101 stories, I think, plus one shots and some chapter fics I didn't finish, unfortunately, but the ideas are still there. They are ridiculous and I mean that in the sweetest way because Ed is horrible at expressing how he feels, so he proposed to Winry in terms of alchemy. And Winry was like girl, I'll just give you my whole life. LMFAO. This ship is amazing. Winry figures it out by herself. Nobody told her she loves Ed, she did that herself. She accepted it herself. She focuses on her work while also supporting Ed. Ed also does his part by protecting her, being there for her, trusting her skills, promising her that the next time he makes her cry it'll be with tears of joy, etc. They both did their part. They both played their roles in the story, stayed objective, and still managed to be there for each other. Winry is waifu for laifu 🫰. And Ed is so lucky to have her, he loves her. He was so flustered he recited the elements from the periodic table. What a DORK. I love them.
I'm tagging @tododeku-or-bust @an-aura-about-you @non-canon-central @fate-defiant @eclipsedrawsthings @greyladyblue 💖💖💖💖💖

dr3 chiaki for the ask game?
CHIAKI CHIAKI CHIAKI CHIAKI CHIAKIIIIIIIIIII
i kinda don't distinguish dr3 and sdr2 Chiaki becuse I close my eyes at the part of the canon that says she's dead lol. it's my world and my rules she's alive and well ok
favorite thing about them
Her passion to her hobby/talent. I relate to that a lot and also find it a very interesting quirk of hers. Like other ultimates don't really lose their sleep and food to do more photos or cooking or else. Other than Ryota and that's why we kin him too. Idk makes me wonder why Nanami is the way she is
least favorite thing about them
Here's two 1) The way fandom treats her. She gets SO much hate and for what? She just wanted to play her silly games all day and have friends :( The "mary sue" treatment like yeah she's not the best written character in the series but she's fine! It's not a crime to not have a detail backstory or character. it's sad we don't have it, but it doesn't make her awful. Oh and I HATE the "waifu bait" thing!! The fact that Kodaka said in the interview that he made a character with similar hobbies as him is not the same as waifu bait! I can relate to this feeling of his and see nothing bad with it. She's not just a pretty looks and "uwu gamer girl" (she doesn't fit the stereotype at all imo) and those who think otherwise didn't really pay attention to her. And 2) How little focus she has despite her role. I wish dr3 spent some time developing her character and story. We know very little about her life before the events! And it's sad! Her behavior gives a lot of food for thought of why she's the way she is and I would love to see more canon material about it. Esp if we consider that in canon it's the real Chiaki. Not focusing on her as a person was a big mistake
favorite line
From sdr2: "Nagito can you please be quiet" like yes girl!! So epic of her. AND THE WAY NAGITO IMMEDIATELY SHUTS UP FDKGMJ. And "How should I lure out Nagito? No, acting sexy won't work..." like girl why was it the first idea you had huh?? Huh?? huuuh??? 👁👁👁👁
From dr3: "I wanted to play games with you... One more time..." and her whole near death speech in general. like GIRL YOU'RE DYING AND YOU THINK YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SHOULD SAY SORRY?? Let me hug you T^T I had to rewatch that scene for this and it breaks my heart everytime. ON A BRIGHTER NOTE it's not a line but a k.o she gave Hanamura even tho she was affected by the soup. It was so badass of her like YEES GIRL SHOW HIM!!!! #HanamuraSlander
brOTP
So many honestly... Hinanami and even komanami, her and chihiro and her and sonia... I feel like she would get along with a lot of people
OTP
Komanami 100%. Nanami canonically has always been the only person in their class who didn't hate Komaeda at every point of the story. She has always shown compassion and support to him. While also not approving of his wrong actions and doing her best to show him that there's other way. That he can be their classmate and friend too. There's part in her dr wiki page that says "Even self-deprecating Nagito Komaeda understands that Chiaki would always invite him even if no one else would" LIKE?? And people still say that they canonically hate each other??? I'm sure they were friends in dr3
nOTP
Hinanami lol. Sorry to every hinanami lover here but I don't see the chemistry at all. And I just feel like the impact they had on each other hits stronger if you think of them as friends. At least it's the way I see it lol. Don't think it's bad tho, it's definitely nice. Just not my cup of tea
random headcanon
Autistic!! It makes SO much sense, the most making sense thing possible ever. Gaming is also her coping mechanism and a way to hide from outside world, that feels too unpredictable and scary to her
unpopular opinion
Things i said in "least favorite thing about them" and also does headcanoning her alive and giving her more character traits and more detailed story counts? idk. Also there's no way she's as skinny as in canon
song i associate with them
"Apparently there's a cheat code for happiness" eng cover by Milkychan. Because I heard in a first Nanami edit I saw back in 2019 by an editor that since long deleted their videos... They greatly inspired me to edit too. Other than that it also fits her. The way she also interprets things in life as in video game. I can see her understanding key elements of happiness at life as some video game achievements or boosts klhgbn
favorite picture of them
One apple tall

How do you feel about the criticism for trial 3 of Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc? I wouldn't say it's a hated case but I noticed some issues people point out. 1) Celeste was way too obvious as a culprit and her reactions were too out of character for anyone to not notice. 2) The "those guys" part wasn't a good argument to condemn Celeste since she could have been referring to the others who died before. 3) My gripe was how they spent so much time arguing that Hifumi was dead in the infirmary when that clearly wasn't the case as he woke up in the art room from Hina's tear meaning he wasn't dead at that time. 4) On that note, timing the BDA for both Hifumi and Taka was way too perfect and celeste/hifumi had no way of predicting that the Sakura, Toko, and Byaukuya would find Taka's body at the same time as the others would find Hifumi playing dead. 5) Not that I agree with this criticism but GamingMagic13 in his playthrough complained about Celeste's breakdown because she broke down too easily from the slightest pressure when she is the ultimate gambler who should be harder to break.
i'm not nyx but i'll give my thoughts.
celes as culprit being predictable is easy to say in retrospect. back in the day, the trend was towards characters like celes being massive red herrings. (at the time as well, sayaka-like characters were pure waifu bait and made it to the very end.) even so, we didn't pin her as a culprit in 2014. plenty of people didn't. it's difficult to exactly quantify what culprits qualify as 'predictable' and that's why it's an utterly rubbish condition to judge a culprit on. it's 100% predictable on a replay anyway, so i'd focus more on stage presence. celestia sure as hell has the best in her game.
this was more a case of poor translation than a problem with the actual case. here's the same statement in the lparchive translation:

there is the pedantic 'BUT WOULDN'T THE CHARACTER NOTICE' statement, but pedantic statement is pedantic.
3. they were trying to work out who the body discovery announcement was for, which is pretty reasonable when 3 people are saying it's for Character X and 3 are saying it's for Character Y. it's entirely reasonable for makoto, aoi, and celestia to assume monokuma jumped the gun on hifumi's death initially and the second discovery announcement was a catchup 'announcement 2: he's actually dead this time. lol.' . especially given celestia needs to believe her own bullshit.
4. this is like saying 'it was a plothole for nagito to draw the short straw and get picked for cleaning duty in SDR2-1'. celestia, were she not a gambler, would likely be SHSL Luck instead of makoto. she outright states herself she has insane good luck. ergo, the two parties see the bodies at the exact same time due to luck.
5. doesn't this contradict point 2, that she was referring to all the previous deaths and was at her limit with that? i know you said it wasn't your argument, but. she's trying to sell her panic to buy everyone's trust, 'oh if it made celes panic then it's got to be really bad'.

Okay I lied I want more 86 content adapted I’m feeling the lack ;-;
I don’t care if lena shin goes all typical shojo romance anymore. I mean I do care and will probably hate on it but at least it’s content ;-;
I just saw this light novelist used to write shojo so my hope for their dynamics to be interesting and not just basic het stereotypes are being thrown out the window…
I don’t want typical boy meets girl shojo 😫
But it’ll be okay, I just want 86 anime content 😔
But man do I hate typical shonen and shojo protags… They’re so obnoxious to me. I wanna see lena being badass MORE than acting shojo-ish and w’re getting there!! She’s very cool as commander!! But still too cutesy and shojo girl ish and that’ll never change!! Because her waifu bait plus shojo lead side will never go away… since that’s what ppl like about her…
I swear, the het dynamics (not necessarily romantic ships) that got my attention recently seems to be set in the military lol. Like captain mina with her vice captain hoshina and now major lena with captain shin. I think they’re more interesting if the romance (if any) isn’t developed and it’s just hinted at.
Like with mina I just like how badass she is and how much of an influence she has on all her subordinates. How she recruited hoshina for his sword skills so he can “slice a path” for her to deal the final blow, how she basically gave his life purpose again, and how hard he tries to live up to his role as her vice captain and sword. It’s not romantic AND I DONT WANT IT TO BE, but I do like their dynamic lol. I mean I’ve always been a bit partial to some power dynamics (hence the way I ship narusasu hello hokage naruto hello dark naruto hello DONT YOU DARE SPEAK ABOUT SASUKE LIKE YOU OWN HIM ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF ME NARUTO.)
And lena shin too is interesting if it doesn’t go into typical romance… But it’s a lot to think about regarding their relationship, especially from Shin’s part, and I haven’t fully digested their dynamic yet.
Anyway… I was triggered from listening to 86 soundtrack (fuck u sawano) in the morning. While commuting. There was one second where it got almost too overwhelming :)
But then it was gone, and I realise I do kinda miss 86. Not as much as I did Migi to Dali tho lol, but still 😔
I like Shin’s theme :) Overall, AOT’s OST is still better. I mean ofc, it’s too epic, but 86’s is good on its own too! And I think I enjoyed 86 the series more than AOT lol… More interesting characters. None of the AOT characters and relationships really stuck with me except Erwin’s badass scenes lol. I just enjoyed it for its held “epic” status by the general public… Storyline is pretty cool too but ultimately seems a lil too forced for me…..

I don't think it's creepy at all! Tbh, executions are one of my most favorite parts about Danganronpa games! I would love to see them once you're done with them
Also, did you decide on a protagonist yet? And are you expecting anyone in particular to be a fan favorite or 'waifu'/'husbando' bait?
Thanks sis! The murders and executions will be in written form since I cannot draw or animate for the life of me.
Also, I’ve decided on making Kanaye (Ultimate Cyclist) the protagonist. As for who will be a fan favorite(s) and someone’s waifu/husbando, I noticed that Kuro has been getting a bit of attention (@kristalheartishere I’m looking at you!/lh).
Of course Rose will most likely be a fan fav/waifu. Daichi also got some love when I posted his bio sheet. And I think that Haruo, Shiro, Yuri, Griffin, and Mei might get some love as well.
But, those are just my predictions.

Mayumi has to wait awhile before she finds the opportune time to talk to Kichiro. A time where Chieko is there, and will see it, but won't be able to stop her. So, in the middle of the hallway it is then, when she sees them walking together. She comes up to them both but only addresses Kichiro. "Heyyy, what's up? We met before like a week ago, right? Remember me? It's Mayumi, Chieko's friend!" @ultimate-waifu-bait
Kichiro was surprised to be approached by someone out of nowhere, but it wasn’t the first time, after all. They’d met, and people walked up to him all the time, but his friends usually scattered when things like this happened. Kichiro preferred it that way-- there’d been a few rejected confessions that were probably best left between the two of them rather than he and his whole entourage, plus the poor shorted soul. They got in the habit of disappearing around corners and into classrooms when Kichiro got approached by a random girl. This seemed like it might be another one of those times, and Kichiro was already gearing up for it. “Oh, uh, hey. Yeah, yeah, I remember you. Mayumi, right? What’s up?” he says brightly-- better to not start things out awkward, so at least there wasn’t already a sense of it when things started to go sour.
