Remus
is a really good cook from looking after Gracie but refuses to look after himself properly so only ever makes pesto pasta or noodles at uni, but when he's home and in a good mood he whips up the turkish dishes of his childhood for his sister
had a lightning bolt shaved into his short back and sides as a kid because he thought it'd make him faster on the field
originally played nine because he was a mouthy motherfucker at age twelve but when he hit puberty he grew too tall and his coach moved him to fifteen, but he ended up loving it
is actually still on good terms with his secondary school girlfriend, who sometimes takes Gracie on day trips with her and her little sister
he still has all his old jerseys in a box under his bed, saving them for if he ever has kids.
was filmed shirtless for a promotional video for his first world cup and overnight became a figurehead for body positivity and had instagram accounts dedicated to his abs. Sirius finds the latter hilarious and encourages to post thirst traps to his own professional account to give them new content. Remus begins working with charities on campaigns that help children feel comfortable with their visible differences, publicly talking about his scars in a way he thought he never would.
used to tell people Gracie was his daughter when he was eighteen for a laugh and to see the horror on their faces.
moves into a flat in Bristol with Sirius after graduating; equal distance from Remus' training and James' parents house. Gracie moves in with them after four years, after another accident forces Lyall into rehab.
Sirius
joined rugby in year seven because his first proper friend James said it was really cool and he knew it'd piss off his mum
got his tattoo's with a fake ID at seventeen the week after he moved in with the Potter's because he couldn't think of a better way to retake ownership of his body
a prolific vinted seller, makes bank by upcycling the cast-offs of his friends and re-selling them. in his final year, it gets featured in Teen Vogue and the exposure gets him fashion internships for post graduation.
(follow on) can sew. Effie taught him on the long nights he couldn't sleep post-running away, and so many of his clothes he's made himself
aside from his one night stand in first year, Remus is the first person Sirius has done bits at uni with because he was always too scared Peter would find out
swore himself off rugby boys and was so rude to Remus at first because he couldn't bear to admit his attraction
ends up working with NGO's to help queer youth, pioneering for the inclusion of queer kids in sport, helped by Remus' professional connections
Lily
had a weeny crush on remus when she first met him, and spent the first two weeks of uni gushing to her school friends about 'the cute welsh guy in my lectures' until she realised he really needed a friend, and she did her best to be that for him
likes her sleepovers with remus bc as a kid her and petunia used to share a bed but petunia stopped when they were fifteen and Lily always sleeps better next to someone else
used to hate being Ginger but her year 10 crush once told her it made her 'unique' and now she loves her hair
always wearing black winged eyeliner, even just to make a tesco run
has a tiny butterfly tattoo on her ankle that she got matching with her sister before her sister went to uni, back when they were on better terms. she hates it now, and tries to always wear socks
lowkey such a daddy's girl. watches the rugby with him and they have matching Ulster jersey's and scarves
James
had initially wanted to be a cricketer like his dad but his primary school had had a rugby club, and it was love at first training session
was genuinely shocked to be voted captain, doesn't realise how widely loved he is
obsessed with pickled onion monster munch
favourite song is unironically the rockerfeller skank by fatboy slim
his mum insisted he also take bollywood dancing lessons as a kid because she was scared private boarding school would make him lose his connection to his culture
was the main love interest in his year eleven school play after auditioning for a joke with Sirius and now has a genuine love of theatre and can still rattle off his lines
went to primary school with Peter and didn't know how to say no to him when he asked to join their second year house
gets invited to join the England team at the end of his final year of uni, and is genuinely more excited at the prospect of playing against Remus than he is to play for nationally.
he and Remus become known as a 'dynamic duo' amongst rugby fans, and create a fake twitter rivalry as a laugh, before staging a huge 'reconciliation' in the form of running their own summer training camps for underprivileged and disabled children. Gracie is the first to sign up.

the one man in the unit who was neither awed nor intimidated by mayne was eoin mcgonigal. the two men had known each other since before the war. the two young men probably met on the rugby field, and had visited one another's homes and families. their friendship had deepened after they joined the royal ulster rifles in early 1940, and then together applied to join the commandos. 'they were absolutely inseparable, said one contemporary. when mayne became drunk and aggressive, only mcgonigal appeared able to calm him. as a catholic irishman from the south, mcgonigal might easily have been the butt of mayne's sectarian prejudice, but there is no evidence they ever exchanged a harsh word. it seems likely that mayne urged stirling to recruit mcgonigal, and felt a strong sense of responsibility for his welfare. 'mcgonigal is here with me,' mayne wrote to his sister in september, like a schoolboy delighted to find himself in the same class as his best friend.

Cross Border Cups With Scotland
How about Saudi Arabia fund a cross border club trophy with teams from Saudi Arabia, Scotland, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, France, North America, Africa and other European nations? Saudi Arabia has wealth, but Scotland has intense passionate supporters. Clubs like Glasgow Celtic, Aberdeen, Glasgow Rangers, Motherwell, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Dundee, and Dundee United could bring passionate games and lore to Saudi soccer. How about cross border cups for Scottish football. I say a good way for Scottish football to improve is to have cross border trophies on top of domestic and European football. There are an entire host of ideas that could happen. Bring back the Anglo Scottish Cup.Change the Scottish Premiership to a 16 team 30 game league. Then have extra cross border cups.Ideas could include a North Atlantic League Cup. With the top four to 8 SPFL clubs playing a group stage trophy with teams from Europe, Asia, or Africa, or North America, or Saudi Arabia. The Scottish allow Welsh and Northern Ireland club sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup.The Scottish and Welsh Rugby clubs travel to places like South Africa, and Italy. And UEFA soccer has seen Scottish sides travel to Central Asia. So football clubs could travel 5 or 8 times a year to the USA, or Africa. In UEFA trophies Scottish and Welsh sides have been to Central Asia.Other ideas could include having all Scottish Premiership sides not in Europe, plus selected Welsh Cymru Premier club sides, and perhaps Belgian, and North West French sides in the Football League Trophy. There could easily be 16 teams added to the EFL Trophy with a little reorganisation of the trophy to add the new sides.Perhaps all Scots Championsip sides, Welsh Cymru Premier sides, and some North Western French sides in the non-league FA Trophy.
Or a Celtic Nations Club Cup of Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Ulster, Cornish, Cumbria, Brittany, Isle of Man and Yorkshire club sides.Perhaps leading Scottish, Irish, French, Dutch, Belgian or German sides invited as guests into the Engliah FA Cup, or English League Cup.I do not support merging the British leagues, as people would wrongly think Scotland was part of England. And all the Scottish trophies in history would be relegated to the status of lower tier trophies. While all the English trophies would be seen as forerunners of the British trophies. So Scottish clubs would be seen to be reset as having won ZERO trophies. Also 30 trips into England a year might be too much bit 5 to 8 times a year would keep it a novelty and highlight of the season. We need Pan-Great Britain Cups on top of domestic and European football. If we had a British League a club like Dundee could make 25 trips year of up to 800 miles. That would be too tough. It has to be at a manageable number of games.

Rob Herring (centre) is tackled by Cameron Woki and Will Rowlands during Ulster's win over Racing 92Venue: Kingspan Stadium, Belfast Date: Friday, 22 December Kick-off: 19:35 GMTCoverage: Watch live on BBC Two NI, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app, with text updates, report, reaction and highlights on the BBC Sport websiteUlster hooker Rob Herring has been ruled out of Friday's United Rugby Championship interprovincial game against Connacht at Kingspan Stadium.Herring suffered an ankle injury in the second half of Saturday's Investec Champions Cup win over Racing 92.Fly-half Billy Burns is a fitness doubt after sustaining an arm injury in the European Pool 2 encounter.Luke Marshall, who injured his ankle in training last week, is unavailable for selection for the pre-Christmas match. On a more positive note, flanker and long-term absentee Sean Reffell has resumed full training and is now available for selection following the ankle injury he sustained last January.A squad update issued by Ulster also revealed that wing Ethan McIlroy has returned to team training this week.McIlroy sustained a facial fracture and concussion during the home URC win over Munster. The update confirmed that Burns' availability for Ulster's second meeting of the season with Connacht "will be assessed during the week".The westerners ran out 22-20 winners over Dan McFarland's side at the Sportsground in Galway in early November. That win took Peter Wilkins' side top of the URC table, but they have now lost five of their last six outings in all competitions, including three reverses in league action.Ulster lost their last two URC matches against Glasgow and Edinburgh but should take confidence from their success over the Top 14 leaders on Saturday.Connacht are expected to welcome back Mack Hansen for Friday's match after the Ireland wing sat out his side's defeat by Saracens at the weekend with a foot problem.Ulster sit seventh in the standings after seven rounds of fixtures, with their opponents on Friday one point worse off in eighth. #United #Rugby #Championship #Rob #Herring #ruled #Ulsters #game #Connacht
