Concerned with the survival of unique Ukrainian architecture under constant russian bombing, ukrainian company Skeiron has launched a #SaveUkrainianHeritage project. They 3D scan culture monuments in order to preserve them, at least digitally, if the worst comes true. Asides from this utilitary use, the technology will also be helpful with monitoring the condition of the monuments over time.
While the beautiful church shown on the pictures - Saint Sophia Cathedral - has not yet been uploaded on their site, you can still have a virtual tour of the monuments they have already scanned here
And if you find this initiative worth supporting, please consider donating! (scroll to the bottom of the page for the relevant links in english)

Old Kyiv
"Château de Fleurs"
In 1863, a French entrepreneur opened the entertainment venue "Château de Fleurs" (Castle of Flowers) on the site of the modern-day Dynamo Stadium. The cafe-chantant, as it was called in French style, housed a restaurant, concert halls for performances, a dance hall, a summer theater, and a beer bar. It also featured the city's only park with a paid entrance fee of 40 kopecks on the busiest days. Dining at "Château de Fleurs" was also available only by subscription, costing from 9 to 15 rubles per month, depending on the number of meals one could have per day.
The name of the park fully reflected its concept. The park was adorned with flower beds featuring a wide variety of flowers.
Every season at the Château was marked by the emergence of a new pop star, a new spectacle, or attraction.
Ivan Nechui-Levytsky( Ukrainian writer, one of the founders of Ukrainian realism. His works are known for their depth and humanism)described the Château in his novella "Clouds":
..."At the Château, there was a grand celebration. The posters announced that that evening there would be Tyrolean songs sung in the garden, then fireworks would be set off, and at the end, Bengal lights and a fireworks display. A large crowd gathered! The entire Château in the valley was filled with masses of people."

An old map where the Château de Fleurs still exists
Château de Fleurs closed in 1894 due to financial difficulties and changes in management. Later, Dynamo Stadium was built on its site.

The authentic beauty of the Dnipro metro
It's the last metro system in Ukraine still using tokens, and the only metro in Ukraine without ads (unlike Kyiv, where almost all stations are covered head to toes in advertisements).
The construction works started in early 1981, projecting to finish in 1990, with plans to build four lines
The construction met with multiple obstacles, however in 1990 the first section of the first line was completed by 90% But then Soviet Union collapsed, and construction works halted. The metro was opened against all odds in 1995. Only six stations were built

St Sophia (Divine Wisdom) Cathedral in Kyiv (Софійський собор, Софія Київська, Софіївський собор), built in the early 11th century, restored in the 17th century.
Bohun (together with B. Chmielnicki) could admire the cathedral right after its first great restoration, ordered by the Metropolitan of Kyiv, Petro Mohyla after 1633. Unfortunately, he could not see the huge baroque bell tower, because it was built after his death, during Hetman Ivan Mazepa rule (1687-1709).
Here some old postcard, I have bought during my first stay in Kyiv.

I'll stop posting new buildings for an indefinite period of time because my ReShade SUDDENLY stopped working (or rather depth shaders like DOF) and I can't figure out why. Goodbye pretty screenshots. So I offer you a digest of buildings dedicated to the architecture of Ukraine, which is under threat of destruction every day thanks to our intrusive neighbor.

I can't believe this is actually happening. You are the best ^^ 💖
HOW I MADE IT? - Skanzen Set Pt 6
This set was mainly inspired by Ukrainian folk architecture. I asked you to help me learning more about your culture, and you sent me a lot of interesting resources<3
⚪ Thatched Roof & Carved Gable
I made the already existing (Cottage Living & Island Living) thatched roof swatches Base Game Compatible and double-sided. The gables are actually windows.
⚪ Siding Wall & Corner
The ground floor in this game has this weird shadow, so I had to figure out how to match the corner to it. Finally I was able to find the right kind of gradient, so you won't notice that the end of these logs are not the part of the actual wallpaper.
⚪ Corbels
I made corbels roo, yep.
⚪ Sumary
I made 17 items in total. This includes 3 build mode items and 14 buy mode ones. I'm really looking forward to create indoor objects too!
⚪ Reference Images
Big thanks to everyone who helped me to learn more & provided resources!
