Nicht schlecht gemacht, oder?

Da war bis vor einem Monat noch ein Gerüst – kaum zu glauben, wie gut das jetzt aussieht. Vor allem die Uhr. Die war früher total verrostet. Die Zeiger vor allem. Ich wohne gleich gegenüber, deshalb habe ich alles hautnah mitgekriegt. Vor allem klangnah. Was das für ein Lärm war! Hämmern, Fräsen, Bohren. Und Geschrei. Sonst kann ich mich aber nicht beklagen, habe eine gute Wohnung mit bezahlbarer…

Ach ja, das Ding an deinem Handgelenk

Meine Mutter sagt beim Abendessen, dass ja nicht mehr viel Zeit ist bis zur Tagesschau. Ich möchte das auf meinem Handy überprüfen, aber es ist nicht da. Auf dem Tisch liegt auch weder das Handy meiner Mutter noch ihr iPad. "Woher weißt du das denn?", frage ich.

Die Mutter versteht zuerst meine Frage nicht und ich muss nachhaken, ob sie von ihrem Platz aus die Küchenuhr sehen kann. Erst dann begreift sie mein Verständnisproblem und sagt: "Ich hab eine Uhr!" Dabei deutet sie auf ihr Handgelenk. Und stimmt, diese Uhr sehe ich theoretisch viele Male am Tag. Praktisch ist sie für mich nicht nur unsichtbar, ich habe anscheinend auch das ganze Konzept Armbanduhr vergessen.

1974 - 2024 marks 50 years co-axial escapement Curious to see if Omega will mark the 2024 co-axial escapement anniversary but probably not due to their busy involvement in the 2024 Olympics, so they'll probably await 2026 which will mark the 100th anniversary of British horologist George Daniels (1926-2011) and at the same time 50th anniversary of the co-axial being revealed for the first time in 1976. But in 1976 the watch world wasn't really interested in the co-axial escapement, but Patek Philippe and Omega showed interest with Omega claiming the "win" as they officially presented a George Daniels co-axial time piece at the Basel fair in 1999. Keine intelligente Uhr

Wir sind in einem Hotel, wo für unseren Aufenthalt alle Mahlzeiten inkludiert sind. Man kann auch selbst Getränke holen und muss die Maschine dafür mit einem Chip, der an einem Uhrband ist, freischalten. In den Unterlagen nennt das Hotel das die AI Uhr.

G. und ich rollen mit den Augen. "Alles wird heutzutage Artificial Intelligence genannt, egal was wirklich für Technik drinsteckt", denken wir uns sinngemäß. Und dann nach ca. 12 Stunden schießt es mir ein: Es ist die All-inclusive Uhr! Das Hotel behauptet gar nicht, dass der Chip künstlich intelligent ist.
