Do you have any voice claims for the characters/what do their voices sound like?

YEP YEP YEP but i'm also always down to take suggestions if you find a voice you think suits them better!

Minato: Kazuki Kato (Notable roles: Malleus Draconia from Twisted Wonderland, and Leon Dompteur from Ikemen Prince) Why?: I think a deep voice suits Minato, not too deep but still deep.

Haruto: Masatomo Nakazawa (Notable roles: Tatsumi Kazehaya from Ensemble stars, Wataru Kuon from Blue Lock, and Haruki Nakayama from Given) Why?: A boyish and relaxing voice. I don't see Haruto having a deeper pitched voice and imagine his voice to be more on the higher side, but not too high.

Jun: Kohei Yamasaki (Notable roles: Aira Shiratori from Ensemble Stars, Takeshi Hoshino from Mob Psycho 100, Neito Monoma from My Hero Academia) Why? I think Jun's voice would be the highest out of the LI, feminine and upbeat.

Hoshi: Seiichiro Yamashita (Notable Roles: Ace Trappola from Twisted Wonderland, Toru Ishikawa from Horimiya, and Geten from My Hero Academia) Why?: A rambunctious voice for a rambunctious dude.

Habiki: Koki Uchiyama (Notable roles: Idia Shroud from Twisted Wonderland, Izumi Miyamura from Horimiya, Rin Itoshi from Blue Lock, Toge Inumaki from Jujutsu Kaisen, and Tomura Shigaraki from My Hero Academia) Why?: Has a midrange, uncaring voice.

Kage: either Ryota Osaka (Notable Roles: Gyutaro from Demon Slayer, Naoto Tachibana from Tokyo Revengers, and Ibara Saegusa from Ensemble Stars) Why?: Shaky kinda creepy and timid voice(Im mainly thinking of Gyutaro) or Yuji Ueda (Notable Roles: Umehito Nekozawa from Ouran High School Host Club, Brock from Pokemon) Why?: Shaky kinda creepy and timid voice I think out of everyone, Kage's voice is up to chance the most. I'm looking for midrange maybe even slightly on the higher side shaky and timid breathy voices.

Kei: J Michael Tatum (Notable Roles: Kyoya Otori from Ouran Highschool Host Club, Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan, Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia) Why?: It's not too deep and it's a little higher then midrange but not too high. I think it fits him!

Yani: Rebzyyx (Songs: All I want is you and I'm so crazy for youuu </3) Why?: I'm so crazy for you is one of the MAIN songs that inspired Yani. I just think the voice fits anyways :)

So what do you think so far of RK remake? Man, I'm between nervous & excited 🥹 I'm excited we will get (hopefully) complete story arc. But on one hand, I'm nervous whether they can keep up with the original, especially Kyoto arc. I hope they don't rush the story and take some of things that was great from the original. And the OST! It's going to be difficult to beat the original 😖. Anyway let's hope it's going to be masterpiece! I'm definitely going to miss Sano's original VA, I mean Yuji Ueda's voice is just *chef's kiss* Oh, and Aoshi's voice in the new one kinda caught me off guard,,wkwkwk but in a good way of course 😏. I thought he was voice by Sesshomaru's VA but nope 😅. Well, here's to the new generation of RK!

Totally got your feeling too. The OG anime especially Kyoto arc was perfect, but I’m excited to see they remake the battle with modern animation (I can’t wait to see Shishio’s Kaguzuchi get animated). I’m more nervous with the pacing, because it’s long way until Jinchu arc, hopefully they can do it right.

So far I love all the VA, Aoshi’s voice sounds deep and gives the handsome cool guy vibes.

Now, lets’s calm down a bit and pray it will meet our expectation. (Seriously I don’t want set my expectation too high, but all the PVs were so good 😖😅😆）

Finished watching Shaman King again, japanese voice-over version. Gotta say, Yuji Ueda and Megumi Hayashibara deserve a big ass prize just for those soul piercing screams in the last episodes where Horohoro and Anna think Ren and Yoh died. I heard a lot of feels filled screams in animes but those really made me go like JESUS FREAKIN CHRIST.

New Quasi-State-Of-Emergency In Tokyo, 12 Other Prefectures Starts Friday 1/21/2022; NJPW New Year’s Golden Series Night 1 - 1/20/2022: Kosei Fujita Out Injured; Dragon Gate 1/17/2022, TJPW 1/20/2022 Results

Starting tomorrow (possibly today in Japanese time by the time I post this), another quasi-state-of-emergency is due to begin in Tokyo and at least 12 other prefectures, following record-setting new cases in both Tokyo and Osaka. Omicron is doing the numbers once more, in a country that has 80% vaccination, but a mere 1.2% booster rate. This after quasi-emergency measures in Okinawa, after increasing Omicron cases from the US military bases had spilled into the greater population, prompting restrictions on activities outside the bases by military personnel posted there.

It's unknown how much wrestling will be affected by this; Dragon Gate has already said their show in Mie this Sunday 1/23/2022 may be postponed or cancelled due to this, but have not seen any other announcements so far. We will keep you posted.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

The first NJPW tour of 2022 began in earnest today, and you can see it now on NJPWWorld. This is the first New Year Golden Series since 2005, but was a regular year-opening tour from 1974-1990. Kosei Fujita injured his shoulder in training, and has been pulled from events through the end of January. Hopefully he will be able to return later in the tour.

Oiwa did so, but Hiromu had ANOTHER mask on underneath. Hiromu tapped Oiwa out anyway.

If you have a premium subscription to NJPW’s website you can now see a digitized version of the 1978 New Year Golden Series program, which advertised among other things, a board-of-nails match between Antonio Inoki v. Umanosuke Ueda on 2/8/1978 at Tokyo Nippon Budokan. I bet THAT was a thing.

Shaman King Mobile RPG Launches in Japan on December 8

  A mobile game was announced for the ongoing Shaman King anime back in May, and now we have a release date. Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle—which is being developed by Studio Z for iOS and Android devices—is set to launch in Japan on December 8. 

  To celebrate the release, the official Twitter account for the game will count down with voice messages from the cast members starting today. Participating VAs include Yoko Hikasa (Yoh Asakura), Megumi Hayashibara (Anna Kyoyama), Katsuyuki Konishi (Amidamaru), Inuko Inuyama (Manta Oyamada), Romi Park (Tao Ren), Masahiko Tanaka (Ryunosuke Umemiya), Yuji Ueda (Horohoro Usui), Takehito Koyasu (Johann Faust VIII), Yui Horie (Iron Maiden Jeanne), and Nana Mizuki (Tamao Tamamura).
